DWTS Producers: Bruno Tonioli Shouldn't Apologize to Michael Bolton

Posted: 03:13 PM ET

Michael Bolton won't be getting an apology from Dancing with the Stars judge Bruno Tonioli - not if the show's producers have anything to do with it.

ABC released a statement from the show's producers on Wednesday defending the sharp-tongued Tonioli - who bashed Bolton's dancing on Monday night's show. After Bolton's Tuesday night elimination, the singer demanded an apology.

"Bruno's role as a judge is to give his honest opinions on the quality of the dances he's judging, which is what he did in this case," the producers say.

"While we respect the feelings of our celebrities and dancers, we don't feel Bruno should be expected to apologize for doing his job."

"I was disappointed with Bruno," the ousted Bolton, 57, said Wednesday morning. (The judge said he performed "the worst" jive in 11 years.) "I just didn't expect that level of disrespect from him."

The end is here – 'Dancing with the Stars' to crown winner tonight

Posted: 08:19 AM ET

via USAToday

Going in to Monday's Dancing With The Stars finals, ESPN's Erin Andrews was the long shot to win. Now she's tied for first place with Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger. Olympian Evan Lysacek is lagging behind.

All three celebs performed two dances, one of which was the freestyle – the time to pull out all the stops. Erin started with a samba and then chose a sultry barefoot dance involving a bed for her freestyle. While the judges weren't crazy about it, she wound up with a 55 for the night.

Nicole danced a rumba but it included a lift which nicked her score a bit. Her zippy freestyle wowed the judges enough to get her a 55 for the night.

Evan waltzed through his first dance, but was off a little bit on his high-energy freestyle. He's got a 52 going into Tuesday's finale, which will include Kate Gosselin, Jake Pavelka dancing with fiancee Vienna Girardi and Pamela Anderson. The three celebs will dance an Argetine Tango and someone will go home with a lovely mirror ball trophy.

Kate Gosselin's New Job

Posted: 10:25 AM ET

Kate Gosselin has been accused of many things in the past year, but laziness certainly isn’t one of them. In the four weeks since she was booted from Dancing with the Stars, the mother of eight has launched her new reality series, Twist of Kate and Kate Plus 8, and initiated a new gig as a special correspondent for ET.

“[It] has been extremely exciting to hold a microphone, and I found that I am loving this side of it,” Kate told PEOPLE backstage at Monday night’s Dancing with the Stars performance show, where she was conducting on-camera interviews. “I can talk. We all knew that, and so I really enjoy it.”

Though she finds it comfortable holding the mic backstage at the Dancing studio, the single mom also admits she still hasn’t gotten the hang of reporting from behind the ET news desk. “It’s something that I feel is like a challenge — sort of like dancing,” she said. “But I know I can conquer that one … the dancing, not so much!”

Adding “correspondent” to her growing resumé, which already includes reality-TV star, author, promotional speaker and mom of twins Cara and Mady and sextuplets Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Collin, Leah and Joel, is all part of Kate’s plan keep herself active and focused.

While her day-to-day routine has certainly changed, Kate insists life hasn’t exactly slowed down since she retired her dancing shoes. “You’re going at the speed of light and suddenly you slow down to like the speed of a car … but I’m not any less busy at all,” she said, adding that she gets the same amount of sleep every night despite no longer being part of the competition.

Who will make it to the finals in 'Dancing with the Stars'?

Posted: 08:05 AM ET

The final four couples hit the floor in 'Dancing with the Stars' last night – who do you think will make it to the finals?

The 10 score paddles were flying on Monday's Dancing With The Stars semi-finals as the four remaining celebs each performed two dances and moved closer to the mirror ball trophy.  Pussycat Doll – and self-proclaimed perfectionist – Nicole Scherzinger earned a 30 on her first dance and a 29 on her second for a 59.

She's tied with Olympic skater Evan Lysacek, who proved he isn't a robot by emoting like crazy on his dances to also earn a 59.

Erin Andrews glittered in blue and then in gold for her two dances and has a total of 56.

Chad Ochocinco, who went shirtless for his samba, is at the bottom of the pack with a 52. He seems destined to go home next.

Dancing alums stunned by Lawrence Taylor's arrest

Posted: 10:08 AM ET

by Scott Huver and Reagan Alexander

Like a tackle from the blind spot, Lawrence Taylor's arrest for allegedly sleeping with an underage prostitute hit his former Dancing with the Stars cast-mates out of no where.

"It's shocking right now," said fellow Season 8 contestant Melissa Rycroft. "I danced with him. He was my buddy."

"It's not the LT that I knew," Rycroft told PEOPLE at the 17th Annual Race to Erase MS gala in Los Angeles on Friday. "The LT that I knew was very sweet and caring and compassionate and he took care of all of us and I never saw a temper. I never saw him mistreating anybody."

Rycroft said she would like to see information come out that shows LT did nothing illegal with the 16-year-old girl. "I don't know how optimistic I am about that, but I can hope."

Tony Dovolani echoed those comments at the event, calling Taylor, "such a cool guy," and opted not to make any quick judgments adding, "I don't know the details, so I can't make any comments either way. I feel for the both parties because this is not a pleasant situation to be in."

Pamela Anderson the latest to get the boot from DWTS!!

Posted: 08:32 AM ET

From EOnline:

In the words of NFL superstud, Dancing with the Stars groover and obvious man of brilliance Chad Ochocinco: "The show's losing a lot of sexiness."

And so it goes time and time again in all of tonight's backstage interviews with the remaining dancers when asked about this week's eliminee. But through the sadness came a walk down memory lane with said axed contestant.

Cue cute!

Poor Pamela Anderson has wrapped her weekly run in America's living rooms, much to the dismay of her now-former DWTS costars.
