Your headline is misleading. She is not making any statements that she is disappointed in Obama.

Barbara must remember she is just a singer/entertainer and shouldn't opine about things she knows nothing about. I think Obama is "cool" too but that had nothing to do with whether he can do the job? When people like Streisand have a mic and an audience because of their celebrity, it doesn't mean we want to hear their unqualified thoughts!

Where is the good the democrats have done? They have ransomed the future of several generations. They have made a mockery of legislating and representing Americans by ignoring them and passing bills they haven't even read or speed reading legislation on the house floor. They have continually deceived the people by misrepresenting health care and have acted like drunk teens with a credit card. THAT is exactly why they couldn't communicate all the good they have done. They haven't done any.

If Barbra is unhappy with President Obama, then he must be doing a few things right; not many, but a few.

I love this lady as a singer and actress but if she is so ashamed of America and the democratic process that she left the country during the last elections then why did she come back?

Living in a democracy is the will of the voters not the will of a few no matter how misguided she may think a majority of voters are.

Still great looking too after all these years though!

Barbara Streisand is sincere but when she said the Democrats did not gettheir message out there she is missing the real point for the Republicans winning back the House. That being a lot of Independants AND Republicans voted Obama in becasue they either saw a hope in him or/and did not want to vote for McCain. When they saw that what they got was not what they hoped for a lot of those voters reversed course to get our country/democracy back from the precipice.

Enjoyed Barbra on there – except I for one, don't agree with her assessment of Obama and his performance so far. I see it as a circus and complete disaster! He's done nothing but make promises – then promptly flip and go the opposite way!
– He gave us "obama-care" (against our wishes!) then took it away for 4 years...
– He reneged on his campaign promise to end the war,
– He reneged on his campaign promise to eliminate "Bush taxes",
– He reneged on his campaign promise to end "earmarks"....
...the list just goes on and on til I wonder if he has any principles!
Barbra seemed to be trying hard to influence the audience, hoping to be the Pied Piper that brought more voters to his camp.

Larry, I so enjoyed Barbra on your show last night. She said everything regarding our government and country with such diligent grace, dignity and respect. With so much of the campaigning today being harsh, degrading, disrespectful and spitful it was really good to see we still have women in our country that are so respectful and successful. She is a wonderful role model for our young people. Thank you for having her for a guest on your show.

What an amazing talent Barbra Streisand is, but also equally amazing is how out of touch she is. She, as most entertainers and Hollywood elites don't understand the regular people of this country. They seem to forgotten that they are a product of a capitalist country. Thank you for interviewing my idol Barbara Streisand. I think it is just fantastic that such a great artist and celebrity as "Barbarita" (which is why I, a Latina, like to call her) also has such a strong and committed political view. Regarding her observations about Obama, I agree with her about being a bit disappointed because, like the millions of us who voted and volunteered for him to get elected, had this great hope that he will get rid of so many things that were wrong with the previous administration: the illegals wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, the Guantanamo Bay prison, Health care -but with a public option-, cutting taxes for the super-rich, immigration reform, etc. Still, I am hopeful that Obama will work even harder now that we have lost Congress to the Republicans, because he has no other choice and we have not choice either but to work next to him. Regarding why people voted for Republicans, I think it is because the masses are forgetful about who took us to this mess in the first place. On top of that, the masses are impatient and want something that took eight years to be messed up, to be fixed in one. That's just impossible. I know Barbara, like me, will continue supporting the democratic principles she has stood for for decades now and she will continue, therefore, supporting Obama.
