Mrs.bush on her own merit is a fine lady.No complaints there.

However with due respect.

5000 precious American lives lost, thousands of our brave boys & girls maimed & scarred for life. Suicides, post traumatic stress and wounds no one can see.

A trillion dollars plus & counting of our tax payers hard earned money.
65,000 innocent Iraqi civilian deaths ( our own estimates).

Iraq now a hotbed and breeding ground for terrorism & extremist elements.
A whole region turned into a perpetual hell of death,destruction & violence.
Populations turned hostile towards America. Loss of American prestige, credibility, clout & influence.
Irreparable set back in our geo-poltical & economic goals in an area vital to our interests.
A legacy of greed,corruption & torture tagged with the American image abroad.

Then the Afghanistan folly. A decade plus on, no victory in sight or gains worth mentioning. Loss of american lives continues with a billion dollars a day of our national treasure.

Talibans stronger than before. Osama Bin Laden elusive as ever.
China & Iran clear beneficiaries of these two wars.

American citizens giving up their civil liberties & made to live in a constant state of fear & paranoia.

Who should we hold responsible & answerable to us the American public??

It is obvious to me that both Mr. and Mrs. Bush are out of touch with the common people of this country. Mr. Bush says he is confused by the Tea Party movement. Of course he is – his opinions and beliefs are out of touch with mainstream America. Mrs. Bush should stay in Maine and stay off the airwaves of America. They only serve to reinforce how this country has been lead toward socialism even by the Republican old guard. Carl Rove and all the backroom RINOs need to either listen to the people of this country or get out of the Republican Party. Does anyone not still hear the reverberation of the November election???
Yeah for Sarah Palin! God Bless the Constitution.

fayed bey   November 21st, 2010 4:52 pm ET

Mr Bush claims that he was told by President Mubarak of Egypt that Saddam Hussein has WMD and is going to use it, a claim that impacted his decision making. President Mubarak of Egypt denies this.Where is the truth?

george bernardo   November 21st, 2010 7:46 pm ET

i am very proud of the american president Obama i believe he is a good president . I have been abserving sarah palin since John mcckainn, choose her to be VP. .sarah palin is an excellent person very smart the best thing she could do is continue with her reality show , sarah Palin alaska. she has not the skills to feel in the president shoes`.
the next one is Mahakabi he wants to be president but again he is a good guitar player let him continue on playing the guitar because he is a good player. the next is maitrerene is the one that could be very close to the next election 2012.my opinion is that president Obama is going to win the election on 2012 for another 4 yearsbecause hes been doing his best it has not been easy with the war etc.
I am very that the democrates and republicains have been working together on the war and showing confidence to americain people about the billions dollars spent
I am a supporter of the americain flag.It is been awhile that I have been writting about my opinions meanwhile I hope that you could fix americains problems and I am very sure that it will in the near future.
i also heard that Donald trump might be runing for president but again he is a business men and has not the skills to be president

mr Larry king congratulations for your 25 yearsof keeping us informed
and opening many peoples minds i hope that the person that replaces you has your talent

Carol DuPraw   November 22nd, 2010 12:57 pm ET

Get the word out!

Jeb Bush for President!

We need him instead of Palin!

F.Heer   November 22nd, 2010 6:42 pm ET

While I agree that we need airport security screening, it should include profiling.

All of this dosen't seem to make much sense...when we have not secured our borders,especially along the Mexican boarder????

Hugh ~ California   November 22nd, 2010 6:56 pm ET

Former Lady Barbara Bush is spot on about Alaska's Sarah Palin. Finally, another figure in a growing list of republicans with teeth, and having common sense; anyone with a superior intelligence knows Sarah Palin isn't fit to be living in the White House as commander-in-chief.

Janice R.   November 22nd, 2010 7:28 pm ET

I agree – Mrs. Bush. Sarah Palin has somehow made a name for herself – but, please stay in Alaska, Sarah. Your 30 minutes are up!

GEORGE   November 22nd, 2010 8:01 pm ET

THE BUSH FAMILY HAS MANY HIDEN SECRETS....THEY WOULD LIKE US TO THINK THEY ARE A PERFECT FAMILY..BUT THEY ARE VERY WEALTHY !!!

Dodie   November 22nd, 2010 8:42 pm ET

@ IKHAN
Well stated and beautifully written! Your facts certainly back up your statements.

@Hugh ~ California
I completely agree. Barbara Bush comes from a generation of women who “stand by your man” regardless of his ethical stance or practice and kept quiet. She has always been dignified. I certainly agree with Barbara Bush, in which Sarah Palin (the woman who could fully understood international politics as she could see Russia from her back porch) and “quit” her Governor’s job in Alaska….should remain in Alaska and not engage in politics due to her lack of qualifications.

susan   November 22nd, 2010 8:54 pm ET

Mrs. Bush is right on...Sarah Palin should stay in Alaska...she should make all the money she can now, sooner or later Americans will tire of her ignorance, at least I hope so

CHM   November 22nd, 2010 9:15 pm ET

@George,
I have seen nothing to suggest the Bush family wants us to think they are perfect. Also, your comment seems to suggest that one cannot be perfect if they are wealthy. Same old jealousy, time and time again here.

Cindy   November 22nd, 2010 9:23 pm ET

I can't think of any reason for Mrs. Bush not to "stand by her man." Also, I find her quite straightforward with her own opinions even when not in agreement with her husband.

Donna   November 22nd, 2010 9:46 pm ET

The Bush's have so much dignity and class. Something The Palin family will never have. I totally agree with Mrs. Bush, Sarah Palin needs to stay in Alaska. Jeb Bush would be a good candidate.

Dodie   November 22nd, 2010 9:47 pm ET

@Cindy

I advocate standing by your man except when your “man” is creating horrific national debt whereby all Americans will suffer in the future. George HW Bush ….. +15.0% (Increase debt/GDP)

The inner workings of a marriage is only known by the married couple; however, I have never heard Mrs. Bush speak out about our increasing debt or her husband’s responsibility. It has been a long time, nice to see you here tonight, Cindy!

ken bridge   November 23rd, 2010 12:07 am ET

like palin is any less qualified than obama because hes so educated well harry truman never attended college and he spoke plain truths and like palin he believed in america without trying to change it into a socialist state! people better wake up and get us off the road pelosi,obama and the extreme liberals are trying to take us down so yeah i'd vote for palin if the choice is her or some anti-liberty, freedom, constitution, bill of rights, lets turn america into a communist nation liberal nut job! a countryboy that still believes we got the best thing goin even if it ain't perfect goodnight y'all!

Marry   November 23rd, 2010 5:57 am ET

Wow, Larry did ask Georg what he thinks of his sons “work”. His comment: just – moral – right! And they talk about “decent”…. I did not expect different!

the bride   November 23rd, 2010 6:31 pm ET

Regardless of his politics, George is a very nice man. It was my wedding that he "crashed" with Phil Mickelson and everyone was so nice and willing to take lots of pictures with our families!

george3243   November 23rd, 2010 7:11 pm ET

any politician that defends iraq war has no crdibility with me. justfying on the basis of saddam huseein is a non-starter. american soldiers should have to die just to get rid of saddam hussein. thus, father bush and mama bush lost credibility with me.

Eleanor   November 23rd, 2010 7:18 pm ET

I enjoyed immensely the interview Larry King conducted with George and Barbara Bush. I believe they are sincere in their comments and just a great couple! However, I was a little dismayed with Barbara Bush's comments concerning Sarah Palin. It is understandable that present and former presidents of the U.S.A. need to stay connected and not become controversial. However, without really knowing Sarah Palin who is also a good and kind person, regardless of her political "savy" it seems a bit harsh of Barbara to be so critical, when MIchelle Obama didn't even think of being proud of her country until her husband was elected president. This country fought hard and fast for many years for equality for all, and many died for it, and the sacrifices of the past have enabled them to be in this place they are now. I find Sarah Palin to be patriotic and love her country, and doesn't deserve the remark to "stay there." The only comments from Barbara about Michelle were about how pretty she is and a good person. So is Sarah, but she fights for her rights and her love of country – something I believe Barbara Bush would do also. Sarah doesn't need to be criticized for that. However, I still admire the Bush family.

don   November 23rd, 2010 8:48 pm ET

I believe Barbara should stay in Houston and leave politics to people who give a hoot about this country. Her rhetoric about Palen only makes Barbara look small and privileged.

Nana Brown   November 23rd, 2010 9:02 pm ET

@IKHAN
Thank you for all your facts and statement so eloquently said.
We need more people like you, keeping them honest. You would be such a great asset to Anderson Cooper 360.

Sam   November 23rd, 2010 9:18 pm ET

@Carol DuPraw

Babara Bush has her facts right about Sara Pailen how come she could not keep her son in Texas where he belonged?

President Obama is doing the best he can but he is being bullied by the old boys group and the AIPAC lobbyist. Free America for America will be a good thing.

IKHAN   November 24th, 2010 1:31 am ET

@Dodie @ Nana Brown

thanks for your very kind comments.
I am grateful for the encouragement .If it weren't for your posts and those of @Smith in Oregon @ Cajazz@ Ted @Rose and others who don't shy away from dredging the truth out of the sludge of propaganda & lies, I wouldn't be here.

Larry King, with this blog has admirably provided a platform for those who love this great country of ours to voice their frustration with the direction it misguidedly seemes to be taking.
