Isn't it time for CNN to actively question where those hundreds of Millions of Haiti aid cash actually went? Haitians now dieing from Cholera are just another absolute insult to those thousands that gave money to the Haitian aid programs.

The Cholera recovery 'salvation' mineral packet's cost a whole 10 cents each. They are widely available and have been used for decades to successfully treat Cholera outbreaks thru-out South America.

Millions in purported 'aid' but can't even provide 10 cent mineral packet's? OK, boil a single unpeeled Potato in a gallon of water, add a pinch of salt and a pinch of sugar to the solution. The Cholera victim sips that mineralized water and recovers his/her strength.

No raw potato's in Haiti?

A single 60 second blast in a microwave on food and 6 ounces of water would instantly deactivate the bacteria which causes Cholera.

No microwaves? Hundreds of Millions of dollars in aid in Haiti and no 10 cent mineral Cholera recovery packages, and no microwave ovens? Could someone explain why?

When a tyrannical government cannot argue with the information posted which in this case is actual US and Pakistan Military documents, they attack the messenger.

Wikileaks has already saved numerous American and NATO soldiers lives in exposing that US Military commanders did not tell the helicopter pilots and flight crews that the Pakistani ISI had acquired heat seeking shoulder fired anti-aircraft missiles and gave those to the Taliban fighters. NOW thanks to Wikileaks US and NATO pilots are staying alive by changing their flight paths and carrying defense tools to offset that previously unspoken threat.

Wikileaks has already brought closure on NATO soldiers familys in Canada who were lied to about how their son's were killed in action. They were as the documents revealed killed by their own men!

As long as vital need to know information is not being shared to the US and NATO troops as well as the world at large, there is a prevailing need for a Wikileaks to post the truth, to reveal what is actually going on and saving many lives as they do.

While the US Military propaganda machine might act like they are laughing about not telling the US and NATO helicopter pilots and their flight crews that the Taliban had recently acquired heat seeking shoulder fired missiles, the multiple DEAD pilots, flight crews and dozens of passengers were not among those laughing.

Wikileaks exposed that utterly corrupt lapse of judgement by the US Military and SAVED PILOTS LIVES.

Wikileaks exposed numerous cases of fratricide where NATO soldiers were killed by their own troops, the military reports shows they knew it was fratricide and didn't do anything about it AND they lied to the KIA soldiers family's.

Wikileaks exposed that utterly corrupt lapse of judgement by the US and NATO Military commanders, helping to remove from the war zone those involved in those cases of fratricide and SAVED SOLDIERS LIVES that would have been shot in the back by those same individuals just as they had done previously.

The US Military Handing Saddam over to Iran on a silver platter is not anything remotely considered a win for the American people unless you are in the pocket of the Iranian government.

The US Military Handing Iraq's government over to Iran's hardliners to control vast areas of Iraq's government's decisions is not anything remotely considered a win for the American people unless you are in the pocket of the Iranian government.

The Republican administration of Bush-Cheney giving the Iraqi Oil field leases worth multiple Trillions of dollars to CHINA for pennies is not anything remotely considered a win for the American people unless you are in the pocket of the Chinese government.

Flooding the world with Heroin and greatly increasing the violence and murder rates as a result of the US Military guarding the CIA-Karzai clan's Opium-Poppy fields across Afghanistan is not anything remotely considered a win for the American people unless you are in the pocket of the Chinese Triad's or the Mexican Drug Cartel's.

Building a Trillion dollars worth of hundreds of extremely expensive US Military bases across Afghanistan which will soon be taken over by the Taliban and adopted by the Taliban in the years ahead is not anything remotely considered a win for the American people unless you are in the pocket of the Pakistan government.

The Republican administration of Bush-Cheney brokered Afghanistan's immense copper deposit leases to CHINA which bought those for pennys, that again is not anything remotely considered a win for the American people unless you are in the pocket of the Chinese government.

America's pockets are empty because of the empty headed actions in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The US wanted a new government in Afghanistan since 1998, 3 years BEFORE 9/11. The official report from a meeting of the US government's Foreign Policy committee on February 12, 1998 confirms that the need for a "west-friendly government " was recognised long before 9/11:
"The U.S. Government's position is that we support multiple pipelines . . . The Unocal (GW Bush's biggest donator) pipeline is among those pipelines that would receive our support under that policy. While we do support the project, the U.S. Government has not, at this point, recognized any (existing) governing regime of the transit country Afghanistan, through which that pipeline would be routed. But we do support the project."

Apparently the need to access Central Asian natural gas reserves for profit was worth destroying the entire country of Afghanistan, obtaining the world's entire supply of Heroin was just a unexpected bonus.

The pipeline through Afghanistan is the overwhelming reason why so many Afghans (as well as American troops) have died. When will this ever be discussed instead of the "got-to-get-the-terrorists" BS

Hamid Karzai was a top adviser to the American Unocal corporation, which was negotiating with the Taliban to construct a Central Asia Gas pipeline ($$$) from Turkmenistan through western Afghanistan. Earlier Karzai was a top contact for the CIA and maintained close relations with CIA Director William Casey and then V.P. GH Bush Sr.

Using the US Military to protect and guard the world's Opium-Heroin production across Afghanistan is a crime against all American's.

Using the US Military to prop up a petty CIA handpicked dictator in Afghanistan is a sad mis-justice against the people of Afghanistan and not worthy of the lives of the American soldiers.

The bumbling buffoons in the US Military Intelligence can't even figure out how to deal with fewer than 100 Al Qaeda members in all of Afghanistan even with 150,000 combat soldiers.

The Intelligence of using US Soldiers so that the CIA and Karzai can flood the world with Heroin is utterly evil.

American soldiers forcing yet another petty dictator (Hamid Karzai) on a third world country show's the world how un-intelligent US Military Intelligence is.

The CIA installed a petty dictator in Afghanistan whose links and ties to the world's largest criminal syndicate in the world (the Chinese Triad's) are widely alleged, whose own brother appears to have actively encouraged planting all 37 provinces across Afghanistan with Opium poppy's producing 99% of the world's total Heroin production AND that evil mix of morass wouldn't be in power flooding the world with Heroin if it were not for US Military propping them up with their machine gun's.

US Military Intelligence is nothing but a oxymoron where the only definition between DUMB and DUMBER is the number of bar's on your shoulder. American Taxpayers are suckered into paying for the US Military in Afghanistan, the utterly corrupt Karzai Government, the drug lords, the war lords, the Taliban to not attack the convoy's, the Pakistan Government who give those free Billions of taxpayer dollars to the Taliban and US Private contractors who give America taxpayer dollars to the Taliban fighters who they hire. This from people who swore to keep America safe! And the US Military Intelligence is begging for MORE TAXPAYER MONEY!

When American troops leave Afghanistan, the Taliban will return and eradicate the entire world's supply of Heroin greatly gutting that enormous funding to the Chinese Triad's and the Mexican Drug Cartel's who traffic that Heroin into America which fills America's city's with violence, street gangs and murder.

Wikileaks reams of US and Pakistan military documents, US Republican Senators and now the Wall Street Journal ALL are stating the same thing which neo-cons refuse to acknowledge. That the Pakistani ISI and the Taliban are working together to kill American soldiers in Afghanistan. Pretend all you want, facts are facts repeated by each those three sources which are independent and unbiased.

They indicate the US Military Intelligence were bungling fools, taken in by the Pakistani ISI playing them and helping the Taliban at the same time. American soldiers died, they died because the US Military Intelligence wasn't even intelligent enough to inform the US soldiers they had been played and used by the Pakistani ISI.

Neo-cons are proud of forcing a dictator on the Afghanistan people who view Hamid Karzai as more corrupt than the Taliban? Republican neo-cons and their Zionist masters are sick individuals!

Republican neo-cons are touting the grandeur of placing the world's largest exporter of Heroin to the entire world on the American taxpayer's payroll, giving him a high position of authority in the Karzai government and selling that as anything remotely as 'positive'.

Members of Pakistan's spy agency ISI are pressing Taliban field commanders to fight the U.S. and its allies in Afghanistan, U.S. officials and Afghan militants have told The Wall Street Journal, a development that undercuts a key element of the Pentagon's strategy for ending the war. I have repeatedly stated this for well over six months now. Wikileaks posted this thru reams of US and Pakistan military documents producing a firestorm of denials from the Pentagon and from various roaches claiming to be US Military Intelligence and various bottom feeders claiming to have been in Afghanistan that swore the CIA and Pakistan's ISI were the good guys.

Yep, as expected the depraved Stars and Bar's wing-nuts started braying and foaming with their rabid say it isn't so brainless chants.
YES, as US Senators including the darling's of the Republican party have recently stated, the Pakistani ISI is helping, training, equipping and encouraging the Taliban Commanders to KILL AMERICAN TROOPS IN AFGHANISTAN. So much for the US Military Intelligent idiots!
With America CIA's extremely cozy decades running relationship with the Pakistani ISI, Isn't it time to openly question and for lawmakers to demand to know if the CIA has broken the very oaths they swore to uphold in regards to America? It appears wherever the Pakistani ISI went, so did America's CIA, both appear to have gone rogue and south.

It is simply false propaganda to portray the millions of ton's of US Military gear now available in Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan's markets as 'stolen'. BS! The US Army has dumped ton's of gear, abandoned and sold many more ton's of gear, gave away millions of ton's of free American taxpayer provided US Military gear and hardware under the guise of supplying the local army's and police dept's.

It is all part of the huge US Military complex 'write off'. Getting rid of used and older US Military weapons, hardware and gear THEN stick the American taxpayers with the hyper-expensive bill for new upgraded replacements. Such callous and heartless US Military dump and demand new replacements has gone on for many decades. Give the American taxpayers a break! All of those armored personal carriers and Humvee's didn't just get stolen, they were dumped, left, abandoned and given away.

The same happened in Vietnam as that war wound down and US Military equipment was just abandoned and dumped on the roadside where the Vietnamese people happily seized free American taxpayer provided airplanes, tanks, jeeps, weapons, radios and all kinds of US Military hardware which they then sold to the highest bidders. I'd love to have been able to bid and buy a cobra helicopter or one of the thousands of Huey' Helicopter's that was simply abandoned but NO, such is strictly taboo for American's to bid on in America, travel to Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan or Pakistan and it's perfectly legal, pay some customs to bring it back and it's YOUR's.

Don't be fooled by the US Military reports of 'stolen' or 'lost' US Military Vehicles, Weapons and Hardware, that is simply the 'write off' used US Military equipment buzz words being spun by the US Military Complex. They'll soon be before the US Congress with their shiny brass bar's and star's demanding hundreds of Billions of additional free taxpayer dollars for the very newest upgraded equipment to replace it, just wait and see!

Anne   October 25th, 2010 9:06 pm ET

Larry their relationship was a private matter...would you like for your ex to come on the air and tell all your private business about your sexual preferences....there is nothing wrong with looking a's a private matter...

Jane - WI   October 25th, 2010 9:11 pm ET

Clarence Thomas has made a wise choice to keep out of the fray with this woman who obviously has an agenda. Living a lifestyle of drinking and womanizing didn't keep the Kennedy clan out of public service, and the public didn't seem to have a problem with their poor behavior.
Has anyone other than this single woman corroborated anything she is saying?

Michael Armstrong Sr.   October 25th, 2010 9:11 pm ET

No one cares about Clarance Thomas any more thats yesterdays news America is more interested in todays news that effects all our lives .

Smith in Oregon   October 25th, 2010 9:17 pm ET

When it appears a Supreme Court Judge is a absolute liar, and US Supreme Court Main Jurist Justice Roberts is totally in the pocket of Big Oil corporations, it gives ALL Americans the inherent direct view and feeling that America's highest court is utterly corrupt.

Alan Marcil   October 25th, 2010 9:17 pm ET

Stop referring to this woman as Clarence Hill's "girlfriend." So humiliating. She is a person of accomplishment. She may have had a relationship with this duplicitous dissembling fraud but don't give Thomas the benefit of the doubt. He need sto be impeached. Another legacy of the Bush dynasty.

Diana in CA   October 25th, 2010 9:19 pm ET

The Supreme Court affects all of our lives, and Clarence Thomas should never have been confirmed. It's interesting to see how complicit the Democrats on the Judiciary Committee were in making sure he was. Thanks a lot, Joe Biden.

Smith in Oregon   October 25th, 2010 9:20 pm ET

Republican lawmakers dumped Justice Bork over allegedly having smoked 'marijuana' and then turned around and rammed extremely questionable candidates like Justice Thomas and Justice Roberts down the Democratic lawmakers throats. Why is anyone surprised by such underhanded tactics?

Katie   October 25th, 2010 9:21 pm ET

Where were you, Madam, when my sisters, Mother AND father were at the spontaneous candlelight protest against Thomas and in defense of Anita Hill all those years ago? My Dad was a crusty old Vermonter who had never attended anything like it before and when he was asked why he was there he responded "I have five daughters. I guess that is reason enough."
You are a day late and more than a dollar short. Sell your book to some one else.

see   October 25th, 2010 9:25 pm ET

I always knew that Anita Hill was jealous of Clarence Thomas....Anita Hill was pissed that Clarence rejected her and married someone else, Always knew that,,,

Jane - WI   October 25th, 2010 9:29 pm ET

Isn't it ironic that the clip you showed of Clarence thomas' comments at his confirmation hearing had Teddy Kennedy sitting there in judgment. Oh the rich hypocrisy of that.......

Cathy Crawford   October 25th, 2010 9:31 pm ET

Impeach Clarence Thomas. I cannot believe he was confirmed.

A Supreme Court Justice may be impeached by the House of Representatives and removed from office if convicted in a Senate trial, but only for the same types of offenses that would trigger impeachment proceedings for any other government official under Articles I and II of the Constitution.

Article III, Section 1 states that judges of Article III courts shall hold their offices "during good behavior." "The phrase "good behavior" has been interpreted by the courts to equate to the same level of seriousness 'high crimes and misdemeanors" encompasses.

Susan   October 25th, 2010 9:31 pm ET

I believe Anita Hill! and always have.

Jane - WI   October 25th, 2010 9:32 pm ET

What exactly is the purpose of this woman coming on your show after all these years? His personal life (whether what this woman is saying is even true) has absolutely nothing to do with Justice Thomas' ability to do his job.
Do we need to interrogate everyone in Congress as to what their sexual "preferences" are? If we are to believe it's relevant to the court, shouldn't it also be relevant to Congress, the White House, our TV anchors, etc?

The bottom line is, it has no relevance. This woman seems to have a personal agenda going on here.

chaski   October 25th, 2010 9:41 pm ET

" No one cares about Clarance Thomas any more thats yesterdays news America is more interested in todays news that effects all our lives ."

Clarence Thomas will be a justice for many more years, yet he is clearly unfit for this position. That is not "yesterdays news", but a delayed Halloween Republican surprise.

Yes, Biden was on the committee as well as Kennedy, but they were faced with the ultimate Democratic nightmare... a "lynching" (which of course was pure baloney), and they didn't have the stomach to stop the nomination.

Nita   October 25th, 2010 9:41 pm ET

This is the best interview I have seen in a long time. Great Larry!

Diana in CA   October 25th, 2010 9:44 pm ET

@ Smith in Oregon (October 25th, 2010 8:52 pm)

Great post, Smith in Oregon. We owe a lot to Julian Assange and WikiLeaks.

Lee   October 25th, 2010 9:46 pm ET

Hi Diana in CA,
"Thanks Joe Boden?"
"complicit the Democrats on the Judiciary Committee?"

George H. W. Bush put him there baby!

It's amazing how people just listen to politicians rather than keep them on ckeck.

Kirk   October 25th, 2010 9:48 pm ET

Wikileaks is doing harm to us military personnel, thay may blame the politicians but the soliers are the ones that suffer. The exposier of classified documents tell the enemy how we operate and collect data.
But besides all of that what is with the floating bubbles behind the interviewee? Very distracticting and adds nothing to an interview, LOSE THE FOATING BUBBLES!

Raj Khanna   October 25th, 2010 9:51 pm ET

love you and love your show. However was disappointed today that you did not go the length to find out why this lady came out of the woods after 19 years...

From the interview she sounded a fraud with a purpose/objective. If one is for justice why wait 19 years to speak the truth; unless there is a desparate need for publicity which I think she received well.

Please avoid such people in the future or else your credibility maybe questioned.

Scott in Texas   October 25th, 2010 9:52 pm ET

Why now? I really take offense as a man, who loves women, loves sex, and really does not like porn, that Ms. McKewn judges all men who use a computer as "porn lovers"! Where does she get off as a supposedly educated woman who has held the post as an administrative law judge among other jobs of note, to characterize all men as porn freaks?

My wife bought me a subscription to Playboy, and she ended up looking at it more than I did. She didn't renew it. LOL Not that Playboy is in any shape or form PORN.

The type of porn that Ms. McKewn is talking about is not only disgusting, but by most healthy men who are actually getting sex, they could care less about it. Porn of any kind, I mean real porn that shows actual sex acts, does not interest me in the least. I also don't go to strip clubs, or other topless bars. I have been to them, and it does not interest me. Now, having actual sex with a woman, that does interest me! Again, she is way out of line with her comment!

My point is this, I am TIRED of people making flat statements like this, and in my mind makes it even more suspicious as to, why now?

I am not a Democrat, nor am I a Republican. No one party can express my views on all fronts. I am not able to have a label. I guess because I am very broad minded, and feel since this is supposed to be a free country, that everyone should be able to think as they want, without being labeled. Why I take offense as a REAL MAN, as being labeled as LOVING PORN..

I do not know which way Mr Thomas leans on the court. But I am going to find out now, as this is very suspicious to me that nearly 20 yrs later this issue is alive in a heated, nasty mid term election. Of all the real news that can be followed, why was this on? Where did this come from? Again, WHY NOW? The Supreme Court is VERY important, and I have not followed it as close as I should. If nothing else, I will be from now on.

Larry, this was a very bad person to have on, and as a man, why didn't you hit her with that nasty comment about all men as being porn freaks??? Sorry, I usually LOVE your show, but this woman is truly misinformed about all men.

Diana in CA   October 25th, 2010 9:59 pm ET

@ Lee.

Who's Joe Boden?

I'm aware of who nominated Thomas, thanks. Spineless Democrats should not be excused for their part in his confirmation.

Don't address me as "baby", sexist one.

Hillary   October 25th, 2010 10:02 pm ET

I remember watching the hearings and thinking Thomas was guilty then. Some people may not believe his former girlfriend on the show tonite, but her last sentence, in my opinion, says it all. Why is she speaking out now? BECAUSE SHE ISN'T SCARED ANYMORE!!! The power of politics should scare us all to research individuals running for office and not just believe what we hear because the good ole boy system is alive and well on every level.

Hillary   October 25th, 2010 10:09 pm ET

Old news some of you say? Obviously you don't understand how the Supreme Court affects everyone yesterday, today, and tomorrow! Look it up and learn. You will be amazed! Of'course if Christine O'Donnell doesn't have to know what the Supreme Court does and has done and she may win a political seat (God help us!) Then I suppose you don't have to learn either and hey, maybe you can be the next mayor of your town. Just let me know where you live so I won't ever move there.

James   October 25th, 2010 10:10 pm ET

Gee, in a few years long after the fact, will some unknown appear on LKL live and tell us about this woman? She obviously has her own agenda. I think the comment about Anita Hill being jealous might be true and when I look at this woman, and then look at Hill's wife. Well, what can I say. HELLO. Some things are quite obvious.

I don't think CNN should have lowered themselves to this interview particularly long after the hearings. I had the same thought as someone else posted; how would LK or others like it if all of their ex's came out and talked about them.

Surely there are more important issues to worry about.

John in Northeast   October 25th, 2010 10:10 pm ET

It was good to see Wikileaks founder on TV although letting him speak a little longer would have been nice. Its amazing that the US Military can kill so many innocent people and we have the Pentagon's OWN documents verifying it but the media wants to portray Wikileaks as this far left conspiracy theorist organization. Its good to see people like Daniel Elburg speak up in support them.

Frances   October 25th, 2010 10:11 pm ET

I agree that this has been one of your best interviews, Larry. I also agreed with Anita Hill at the time of Thomas' confirmation hearings and, from what was said in today's interview, obviously Clarence Thomas was a philanderer and Anita Hill is – in my view – vindicated. It's curious to me – I wonder if Ms. McKewan was, instead, jealous of Anita Hill?

"Moral" arguments aside, Clarence Thomas has dishonored his position as a Supreme Court Justice, he has abused his power, and should be removed from office.

For those who attend Supreme Court sessions, Clarence Thomas appears to be asleep much of the time. He needs to be put out to pasture.

Ben in Midwest   October 25th, 2010 10:23 pm ET

If the former girlfriend was called to spill her beans back then, Thomas would not be sitting where he is now, and I certainly believed everything Anita Hill said back then. In addition, I am sure much of the male listeners just brushed it off as sex; no different than taking a leak, when Thomas should have been ..canned!

I find Ms. McKewn extraordinary credible and I now need to search for her authorships, and when it comes to the 'sleeping together' scenes -I can only assume no Hollywood playwright will have to add to your words.

bankalchemist   October 25th, 2010 10:45 pm ET

Well finally with a witness who could have presented the evidence or described the culprit so no one has seen L D Silver or his dynamic duo Mr Footlong. After all these years no photo's or statement from the Dong.

Vicky   October 25th, 2010 10:59 pm ET

I question the intent of this woman for speaking up after 20 years.

ChrisK   October 26th, 2010 12:13 am ET

19 years go by. What's the objective of her coming out?? What is she is looking for?? Why now???

ChrisK   October 26th, 2010 12:18 am ET

My question to your guest Larry is this! What are you trying to accomplish? It's been over 19 years since you were with this man. Do you not know the saying that "What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas?" What is in it for you??

IKHAN   October 26th, 2010 12:41 am ET

Hi Larry,
Hi folks.

@Smith in Oregon

Bravo to you.
Unless we wake up to reality disasters like Iraq & Afghanistan would happen again. I think the leaks are a blessing in disguise inspite of what the establishment would have us believe.
Its absolutely imperative that those in the scheme of things who make policies & steer this nation's destiny, are prevented from playing with the lives & treasure of this nation.
We should learn from the Wiki leaks.

Polly Scanlon   October 26th, 2010 12:47 am ET

I am so glad that you have re-opened discussions about Clarence Thomas. He has demonstrated by his nebulous opinions and perjured tesitimony at his confirmation that he is the least qualified judge on the bench. He testified that the reason he left his Catholic studies at Immaculate Conception Seminary was because he heard vile racial comments made by fellow seminarians in response to a television announcement of the death of Martin Luther King. My husband, who is now an attorney, was a fellow Seminarian with Justice Thomas and noted that Thomas had overlooked one fact – there were no televisions on the Campus and the majority of the Semiinarians were in KC trying to stem the riots. My husband wrote a letter to the New York Times in opposition to the confirmation of Judge Thomas clearly indicating that he had lied. The letter was published but overlooked by the Senate Judiciary Committee. Thomas was confirmed because he was Black not because he was qualified – there is a limit to being PC.

Lexusv   October 26th, 2010 1:47 am ET

Why now? Because Ginny left that nasty lil message on Ms.Hill's voicemail and as a result the reporter called her. Now she is free to talk what she will, and I bet there is a whole lot more in her to say. Justice Thomas IMO is a man with a lot of rejection in his life and now it is payback time. I think he remembers two things, what you did for him and what you did to him. I don't think he likes people that look like him very much.

Talar   October 26th, 2010 3:36 am ET

Hi I'm on the west coast and am watching Larry King Live at 12am, just saw the amazing interview with Clarence Thomas's ex-girlfriend, so glad she is not afraid to speak up about the ugly past. Great interview. Also, wanted to say I love the tie Larry is wearing! Looks great.

Virginia Taylor-Saclioglu   October 26th, 2010 5:59 am ET

I'm a big fan of Larry King, but I too think he and CNN should be ashamed of asking Julian Assange about allegations that are false and have been dropped. What can possibly the point of that except to cast aspersions on Assange and somehow discredit him?

Ted   October 26th, 2010 8:20 am ET

@ Smith in Oregon

Bravo, you really know your stuff, I wish you were with CNN and provide information with brain and courage.
Where is President Obama, he must take a stand on this affair, he is in charge nearly two years now.
Whatever happened since Jan. 2009 cannot be blamed on the Bush administration anymore. As I already stated many times, and CNN deleted it each time, there is absolutly no difference between the two parties. If you still believe in Obama you might as well believe in the virgin conception or Jack on the Beanstock.

duh   October 26th, 2010 9:22 am ET

@Polly Scanton.....DUH,, Because there was no televisions on the Campus doesn"t mean he couldn't have seen it off campus......he couldn't have been off campus at anyone elses house when are you all gonna stop being judgemental would you like it if someone else judge you.......duh...........duh.........I am sure he wasn't confined to the just the campus...,,,duh....get a LIFE

David   October 26th, 2010 10:00 am ET

We the tax payers fund congress with bloated budgets to investigate supreme court nominees and get the best jurist regardless of ideology and a gumshoe reporter can find the truth on a newspaper's dime. Maybe we should let the voters pick the court and save the money.

Yvonne   October 26th, 2010 10:01 am ET

Ginny Thomas opened the door for this to happen. Men who make advances to women don't just do it once in their lives. I knew as soon as I heard that Mrs. Thomas extended the olive branch that this would come back to bite her. The former girlfriend is older and not so concerned about the harm it would have costed her 19 years ago. There's an old saying: let sleeping dogs lay. Too bad Ginny Thomas didn't.

Idzan Ismail, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia   October 26th, 2010 10:15 am ET

Ms McEwan

You no longer care for him. So why did you bring up this issue?
You only bring shame to yourself.
20 years is a long time to harbor grudges.
Time to move on. Live and let live.

Vic Sim   October 26th, 2010 10:26 am ET

Where are the comments made on last nights Larry King Show (monday) by Daniel Ellsberg in relation to Wikileaks?
Have they been airbrushed out of history in a Stalinist Stylee?

Anyone know where they are?? Spooky!

Jerjol   October 26th, 2010 10:31 am ET

AHHHHH! is'nt it wonderfull to BASH people

How many people have been found guilty because of someones lies
answer: MILLIONS

The SMUT peddlers will stoop to the lowest, just to get a crappy story

I remember 20 years ago I mistakenly went into a ladies washroom, was I a PEEPING TOM?? or a PERVERT??
No: there was no one in that washroom when I went in.

I remember 20 years ago, a woman ran a red light and I wound up in the hospital, Did she intend to kill me?? NO NO NO.
She wound up in the same hospital.
Was it my fault??

THe problem is that we humans are always to ready to accuse another human because it makes some of us "FEEL GOOD"

RigthTurnClyde   October 26th, 2010 11:11 am ET

There is no news story here .. this is just character assassination because he is conservative. The left insisted that Thurgood Marshal's seat be replace by a black man - and only by a black man. So Bush appointed a black man. The only thing they could dig up was some off-color banter. (that's not much). Now (decades later) they are dogging stories about his wife and his ex-girlfriend? A live in girl friend is a story? Chandra Levy (she had to be a MURDERED ex-girlfriend). If that is the very worst they can dig up then he's a saint. Stop trying to destroy GOOD people.

Wally in C   October 26th, 2010 1:03 pm ET

I remember the way Anita Hill had been treated at the Senate hearings. Two Senators in particular were absolutely determined to destroy this lady. I knew at that time that she was telling the truth. I still believe her to this day. This man who now is a judge at the Supreme Court did not impress me. In my humble opinion he is NOT trust worthy.

I never doubted Anita Hill for one second when I watched her testify. The members of the committee that approved him for the Supreme Court should be ashamed of theirselves!!

The Supreme Court and the Appellate Court and the Court of
Appeals are all administered by former lawyers who became
judges. Most of them have are human , some of them appear
to be just animals without having the power to reason. Some
of them are impartial, some of them have no conscience. Some
of them are divorced from politics , some of them owed politicians
too much not to pay back favors and loyalty.
Clarence Thomas was the wrong pick from the black community
to become a Suprme Court Justice. But Any Bryant is no saint, either,
I always believe that she had a sexual relationship with Judge
Thomas. I don't kow when the relationship stopped but it happened.
In Florida, ist District Court of Appeals Chief Justice Paul
Hawkes, who was nominated by for former governor Jeb Bush
and the Republican controlled legislature voted to have a new
court building for $31. Million. Hawkes, a former lobbyist with
strong political connection lobbyied the legislature and the
Dept of Management Services(DMS) who oversees state building
and renovation projects. After intense lobbying the project was
approved. But Judge Hawkes was not done yet. Sooner than
later he asked for another $5.5 million to add 20 miles of
african hardwood floor to the building and new height to the
ceilings, plus granite counter tops to the kitchen, bathrooms
and hallway mouldings.
Chief Judge Hawkes who was friends with the builder and
a neighbor of the developer in Southwood, Tallahasee where
the new court building was located boasted to his friend the
builder and owner of St Joe Development and Building Co.
that he had contacts in the legislature and that he could get
anythng he wanted . He did. By the time the project was
almost finished it cost taxpayers $48.5 million.
But in between the beginning of the project and the end,
Judge Hawkes incurred further into official misconduct and
malfeasance when he and his assistants (three appeal
judges) ruled against a lawsuit brought against St Joe
Development. by 75 Millview afro-american farmers.
St Joe Development Corp used to be St Joe Paper Mill
Co. in Millview, Tallahassee until 1998. The 75 farmers
sued St Joe for illegal dumping of mill waste, water pollution
of the wells and causing sinkholes (due aggressive
water pumping and chemical waste dumping). The farmers
won the lawsuit and were about to collect the award when
Judge Hawkes made friends with St Joe Development.
St Joe appealed the case to St District Court of Appeals
under Chief Justice Paul Hawkes. The case was dismissed,
according to the St Petersburg Times, Oct. 2010.
St Petersburg Times editor has called for disciplinary
and criminal charges against Judge Hawkes for unlawful
judicial deportment, misappropiation of funds and other
violations under investigation by Chief Financial Officedr
Alex Sink, who is now running for governor. So far, there has
been no comment by the all the Republican controlled
legislature. The head of DMS denies that Paul Hawkes
requested permission and got approval for changes
in the orignal blueprint stating that Judge Paul Hawkes
became the chief overseer of the project never consulting
with other building authorities.

An editorial by Howard Troxler, St Petersburg Times,
Oct 14, 2010:
The St Dist. Court of Appeals and Corruption cannot be
allowed to take ove this building called the :Taj Mahal"
courthouse of Tallahassee. It would be like giving Al Capone
(the legendary Chicago Mafia ganster) a gold medal." What
does it take for the oh so -righteous , honor of our profession
Florida Bar to speak out? Is it all right for an appeals court of the
state of Florida would name " heroes" among the members of
legislature and the allow those heroes to practice as lawyers
in disputed cases in front of that court?
The president of the Florida Senate, Jeff Atwater, wants to
become Florida's new chief financial officer. He should step away
from his little blackboard and stop this outrage-right now-or else
he should not be elected to squat. But the legislature is under
a new ultraconcervative Republican who says that he would
do away with malfeasance, corruption and runaway spending.
He has done nothing to change the course except fired all
Democractic employees and replace them with Republicans.
If the 1st District Court of Appeal and Corruption takes
occupancy of the building, then the honor, integrity and credibility
of Florida's judicial system are forefeit."

Lillian is delightful ~~ This story needs to stay front and center as it opens the Pandora's box of the great injustice done 19 yrs ago..

We all had high hopes that Anita Hill would be believed as everyone knew it was true.... It was a huge slap in the face to what all we woman were suffering from in workplace and beyond...We thought we were finally getting a "get out of jail card"... Instead we were handed a " sentence that came with the results Clarence Thomas nomination...

That is... Life got worse for woman as now Men knew they could LIE and get away with it... That manipulation and con and lies were ok as look the federal govt put someone in the highest court who did it... so we can all get away with it....

He said... She said... Came down to the Man is believable the Female is not.... But what is more.... the Man had a " right" to accuse the woman of lying even though in " reality" ( and every one knew) she is speaking the TRUTH....

This is how the GAME of Life started .... and we have been stuck in this maze for 19 yrs... Woman equality does not exist... It is only on the surface... I talk to female college students they go through the same things I went through in 1970's.... So we have not come a long way baby at all..

But we can turn this thing around on a Dime if we support Lillian and the media fans her story into the being the greater reality of what Clarence Thomas and his selfish lying really did to this country... How far it set us back and how much it has kept us in ground hog day...

I want to see Lillian's face and Anita's face all over the TV's and Newspapers... WOMAN WRONGED.... No vengeance just truth with dignitygracewithbeauty of being a precious wonderfully brilliant female who held true to their values and integrity....

Some flight attendants are rude and some are nice. Some
airlines ticket agents are rude and some are nice. Some security
officers at check points are rude and nasty and some are
professionals. Why this flight attendant lost his mind
at that particular moment is a matter of speculation unless
Steven wants to say honestly and sincerely what happened
to him on the day he snapped and jumped down the
emergency escape. I don't think that what happened between
the passenger and hm is not the complete story. He hda some
serious issues that were probably like a dormant volcano
boiling at the bottom until it finally reached a crescendo and
erupted, spewing his anger like molten lava. Passengers
sometimes feel the same way like Steven. They are treated
like garbage by everybody and when they complain they are
threatened that if they don't behave they either will be arrested
or ban from flying in that airline for life. The fares are so
expensive and the airlines charge half of the amount
of the average ticket price for luggage. . Some airlines are
now charging $ 50 (bucks) for 1 piece of luggage. That is
larceny in the 3 rd degree but who is complaining ? It
is only $50 bro. Like if people's bank accounts are bursting
with cold cash to pay these airline crooks.

Now may affect the entire country with the Cholera outbreak.

When i was asked to send donations to Haiti after the
earthquake catasthrophe, I never gave it second thought .
I refused to send any money to a country that I know is
going to keep the donations and continue the savagery
treatment of its population. Moments after the earthquake
happened CNN showed the president of Haiti in a state
panic and lost , in tears and disoriented. As soon as
he recovered, he has done nothing for his people who
are still living in squalor, surrounded by disease and
warlords who have misused all the world's donations.
It is crazy. God gave these politicians a new life and
there they are again swimming in corruption.

Hi Larry: I see you show almost every day. All those people on TV are still demonizing Clearance Thomas and yet when those same people are asked what the think about Vitter's infidelity, they brush it off to be nothing.
I think they are bigots.

Also don't let Jan Meyers murder that innocent person in prison. She is trying to play the tough woman in an election year.
