I love the View except for Elisabeth. My dream View panel is Whoopi, Joy, You, Lisa Ling and different hosts. The way it was over the summer. Elisabeth ruins the view. I don't like the way she interrupts with her shrieking voice and disrespectful attitude.

love you barbara

but c'mon

rosie o'donnell "changed" the view

the show started to get more political and the hosts outspoken

give credit where credit is due

you are a legend, share the wealth

Gene   September 21st, 2010 9:44 pm ET

Do you rember your interview with Judy Garland in the mid 1960s in New York?

Dodie   September 21st, 2010 10:00 pm ET

Barbara started out using another; however, over the years, she certainly has proved herself. Over the years, I have really enjoyed Barbara. Good luck in any endeavor

Alison   September 21st, 2010 10:02 pm ET

When is Ahmadinejad going to be interviewed? Did I miss it?

I was disgusted like millions of Americans that you allowed your guest, Barbara Walters, explain that she got a pig, or cow, part to replace her faulty organ. Did you ask her how much it cost her? Did you feel sensitive that me & millions of Americans need the same procedure but its only a dream for us. We know these rich people can get a liver transplant in 2 weeks , etc, etc, But please stop rubbing it on to our noses. Let their super rich treatments stay private so that we at least get a sense that our situation is hopeless for everyone, regardless of money

arbara has had a hard working but very privviliged life. She has been sheltered and she has prejudices but she has brought a lot to t.v. and journalism in general. elisabeth is really getting diffficult she makes the show a scream fest and has very little to say she mostly screams. I think Joy has outgrown the show now. she needs to move on doing her own things, writing books and her own show and give someone else a chance at the view i think the hosts should change with time and certainly the moderator. Rosie changed the show she made it real and no one can take her place in that category. whoopi appears like she cannot wait to get out of there-try some new choices of personnel. good luck babs at 81 this week. my sister had valve surgery with a pig valve and she is not richj. she did however , die.

I have watched Barbara for most of my adult life.

She is a true lady, interesting and forthright.

Definately one of my favorite T,V, personalities.

Good to see her back in good health.

Mr. King,
I watch CNN and FOX everyday of the week. I have never heard anybody on FOX state that the President was a Moslem.
I have never heard anybody say that he was born outside of the USA. I have never head anybody try to inflame race on any show. In fact, there is always a conservative and a liberal matched on every opinion show.
I think what President Carter said was horrible and without any facts to back up his false claims about FOX. Why didn't you challenge him?

@Bahman Aghevli

I am so sorry to hear of your medical plight. I truly wish there is something we could do to help you heal. My heart goes out as I can hear your inner struggling. I concur, life is just not fair. I certainly hope you can find a transplant. I have placed donor card on my driver's license. I only wish more would do that same.

I have not watched too many of episodes of The View-don't care for the majority of the personalities featured with the exception of Elizabeth. I used to watch Barbara Walters and enjoyed her interviews but in The View she has taken a back seat in TV...time to retire or maybe she already has!!!! The way the show has aligned the liberals on the show to face off with ONE conservative is rather unbalanced but I guess they think that gives them some kind of edge. haha I'd like to see Ann Coulter as a regular in place of who they have currently-we need someone who can spice it up a bit-it's too BLAH!!!

She's one of the American women i admired.
She's much older than my mom. But she's ageless,

You are rightly concerned about the economy, On your View show please interview the Governor of Michigan. They are one of the few places which has institituted a comprehensive program for growth and jobs. They have targeted becoming the key place in the world for certain new advanced technology firms such as nano-technology, battery power, certain environmental technology, etc.
They are giving incentives for firms to come to Mich, training people, recruiting entrepreneurs. Please interview her on the VIEW. Michigan has a sophisitical approach to creating jobs and becoming the world leader in critical technologies. The country needs to hear this. Michigan was hit very hard by job loss, but has reponded with a program that should help. Please have her on your show.

Fox gives conservative and Tea Party newsand they go along with mis_guided information, saying that the Tea Party is mad at the president because of his dialogue, when it is only racism. The Tea Party was being formed when the news was out that McCain could not beat a black man in later part of 2008 before he was sworn into office. THE REST IS HISTORY.

Lynne Fox   September 22nd, 2010 4:44 pm ET

I watched the Larry King Show with Barbara Walters, they showed film clips of a blonde woman being led by Barbara and interviewed by her, who was the woman. It appeared she needed help walking......I missed the woman's name? thank you,

FACISM....Facing The Fact...Bigots Ruined The American Dream

WHY I DON'T FEEL "SAFE" supporting the teaparty as a whole....We all have something to be angry about when we awaken each day to see our country deteriorating in front of our eyes....but why not come together with intellectural solutions that would help all Americans equally, instead of Screaming "WE WANT OUR COUNTRY BACK"!!! I think what has happened to the angry "White Conservatives" that makes them so mad is that they now are forced to live a life style as I and many others had to live with the puedo title"MIDDLE CLASS", a life without hope, support or concern for our poverty, poor schools, low wages, denied promotions, working harder without rewards or raises, subjected to unlawful terminations without legal counsel, no medicall coverage or being terminated when you get sick, because of the cost of medical coverage to the company. This is not new to me and millions of Americans of all races.. However, the teaparty is really saying "I WANT MY MIDDLECLASS BACK"...when they shout "I WANT MY COUNTRY BACK"!!! They use to think poverty was a result of ignorance and that they know better...they don't like being in the same boat as the rest of us. The sad thing about their party which keeps me for giving them support is their platform of Racism, prejudices, double-standards, and blatent disrespect for OUR PRESIDENT. Many of my foreign friends see us as a joke! They are facing another "ISM" created out of RACISM where they now have to face the fact that their greed, their prejudice, their hate, their corruption, their racism has created this clone of the American Dream...heartless and without a mind or soul...lets call "Their Man In The Mirror"...FACISM! So "In Your Face" bigots of America....thanks for this mess you got ALL OF US INTO!!!!

JOHN   September 24th, 2010 9:40 am ET

A show on how broken our government is might wake some people up and get some real people with the intestinal fortitude that stand up for what they believe in to run for office. I'm sure you could find more than a few people on Capital Hill who would like to be on that show. And if no one on The Hill has the guts to be interviewed, there are millions on plain Americans you can choose from. Elected officials assume that they have a career in politics so they resort to petty bypartisanship instead of working for the people that elected them. There are so many things that need to be fixed in our country that we can not afford to waste one minute on playing childish games. How many great Americans have just given up on it all?
Woops! There goes another minute...and another...and another...
