Ex-NASA chief in Alaska crash, firm says

Posted: 11:09 AM ET

(CNN) - The former head of NASA was a passenger on the private aircraft that crashed in Alaska on Monday night, his company said.

He is Sean O'Keefe, EADS North America's chief executive officer.

"Local authorities are reporting that there are survivors and a rescue operation is under way," said Guy Hicks, EADS North America spokesman "No other details are available at this time."

EADS North America is a subsidiary of EADS, the European aerospace company.

The National Transportation Safety Board has assembled a team to probe the Monday night plane crash in Alaska.

Five of the eight people on board the plane that crashed near Dillingham, Alaska, overnight were killed; one sustained serious injuries, and the condition of two people was unknown, a preliminary report from the Federal Aviation Administration said Tuesday.

Senior air safety investigator Clint Johnson, from the NTSB's Anchorage regional office, will be the investigator in charge, and the entire team is expected in Dillingham by midday.

The Shadow Government appears to be holding back information if this former NASA chief is alive, injured or dead. Sadly, often when the information is withheld the person in question has died and for reasons that are rarely ever released or even mentioned, they delay the findings.

It appears the reason was Senator Ted Stevens convicted and overturned of corruption was on that plane and was killed.

Republican's overwhelmingly voted lock-step to lay off mass numbers of teachers, police, fire and emergency service employees across America. Thankfully majority party Democratic lawmakers overwhelmingly voted to help keep those same teachers, police officers, fire and emergency service employee's employed.

With the Republican Potty'ticians Mitch McConnell and John Boehner's frequent mantra of Jobs, Jobs, Jobs there is clear evidence today the Republican Potty'ticians are the very ones creating the job losses and the very ones trying to prevent job creation during a time when millions of American's are jobless.

WE mourn the all the people who died in this tragedy.
Small planes are like small cars -they can only do
so much but pilots and passengers sometimes take
dangerous chances.

These utterly corrupt Big Oil Republican Potty'ticians are so polarizing, what do you expect from the people here as News Media tries to make Alaskan Republican US Senator Ted Stevens a saint? I'm certain many here hope he was still alive as the plane burst into petrol-chemical induced flames.

What was the purpose of Ted Stevens trip to the remote Agulowak Lodge? The public is being told to go 'fishing'. The corrupt Big Oil Republican former Alaskan Senator was likely flying out to the remote Aqulowak Lodge to broker a deal in a very select meeting in a very isolated lodge where he knew there would be no wiretaps or bugs to intercept the conversations at that meeting.

@Smith in Oregon,
What an absolutely horrid thing for you to say! Don't you have any sense of decorum? The man is dead! I'll never be on the same side with you again, you are totally deplorable!

To All,
I did not agree with Ted Stevens politics or believed he was innocent of all wrongdoing, but I am still saddened by his death and wish to give his friends and family all my support on this terribly sad occasion for their profound loss.

@Smith in Oregon,
Do you make this stuff up as you type, just to get attention? You've got no credibility anymore.

Hey Hugh, hope you are well and still singing and eating in the style that you have cultivated. Sad that @Smith in Oregon is tripped up in delusion and conspiracy theories. A sidekick of his is also on the same course and neither will have credibility when How would you like to cook for them and what? Of course, you should not waste your talented voice to serenade them, they are tone deaf. How many ways do you know to cook crow? Some within these blogs are soon going to have a voracious appetite for it. Keep watching the blogosphere for your personal amusement...Take care Hugh..

Hand over heart for the loss of the longest serving Republican Senator and WWII vet, Ted Stevens and all who died or were injured in the plane crash. Death is life's pariah, as those who are identified as gods are said to deem it, had it ever been sanctified or even satisfactory, they would have chosen it for themselves...caj

@ Luis B. Rosario

Well stated. Very tragic!

Thanks for the thoughtful comments. I'm still trying my best to sing as good as Sinatra but I know I never will! I still think I'm better than Harry Connick Jr. though! If only I could play the piano. ~_^

Smith in Oregon is way over the top! I do believe in some conspiracy theories, but this guy just makes stuff up as his fingers touch the keyboard. Take care yourself.

Hello kind lady!

Well, my friend, only half of your message was understood I guess.

Truth is an interesting concept. Depends on one’s perspective and one’s ability in teasing out from the levels of bureaucratic and media pathologies in their usage of garrulous expression.
