I believe this governor is a very racist person.

Never-elected Governor of AZ.. You keep saying you do not want to talk about immigration reform until the border's are secure. I know why. You are a plastic puppet placed on a pedestal and haven't a clue how to govern.

Tamara A.King   July 30th, 2010 3:01 pm ET

@Phuoc Trieu .I agree, It is so disgusting how Republicans are using this issue like many re: The Border as away to show their Racial face towards the Obama Administration. Is it not true, the United States was built on the backs of Immigrants, even the English who so called settled here. Or, the African people that were transplanted here to do the work and bring their knowledge, spices, customs the "American Settlers" needed to build the United States. The foundation on what this country is built comes from the breast milk of all Immigrants, even Settlers.

“All men are created equal” never meant:

Your house, my house,
Your wife, my wife,
Your job, my job,
Your money, my money,
Your 401k, my lavishing funds,
Your paid taxes, my benefits, etc, etc

Although as we get closer and closer to the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, it all very well appears that way.

Like who can simply say that his wife is his wife?
His house his house? Etc, etc.

This racist cold-hearted woman is consistent with the Republican Family values of fear mongering, depravity and corruption. Formerly known as Secretary of State Jan Brewer, a Republican, she became the sad and disappointing Governor of Arizona after Janet Napolitano left that position to become secretary of Homeland Security and serve in the Obama administration.

She wasn't elected by the voters, she was the State Secretary of the State of Arizona. She has turned off a great many Arizona business leaders and a great many Arizona citizens who wouldn't vote for her to be Governor of Arizona.

As the State of Arizona is bogged down with thousands of federal, state and civil lawsuits resulting from the unconstitutional and racist Arizona State Immigration law, it is likely the State of Arizona, Tourism and Arizona Business's will be pushed into bankruptcy.

When will the News Media discuss this important issue? NATIONAL DEBT IS NOT YOURS OR YOUR CHILDREN OR YOUR GRANDCHILDREN
The Republican Party would be dead in the water if it didn't have this dead horse to beat. Read full article at internetfreepress.

Praise to Arizona and its governor for making federal law into state law. It is pathetic that Washington refuses to enforce immigration law and caters to the illegals for fear of losing a vote. illegals use our health care and education systems and stick us with the bill, make us pay for bilingual teachers because they refuse to learn English and collect welfare for their "anchor" children. Cities and states are being bankrupted while churches and interfaith groups and illegals protest. Let the churches and interfaith groups pay for the illegals they cater too not the taxpayer. Apparantly these protesters and the illegals feel illegals are exempt from following the law like the rest of us. This is not racism. Illegals are squatters. illegals need to return to their country of origin and apply for entrance per the law just like my relatives and friends. All the federal court and Washington is doing right now is sending the message loud and clear to illegals that our borders are open, welcome and that they do not need to follow our laws since our laws only apply to legal citizens.

AZ Governor Drink-wine Brewer keeps on saying secure the border before addressing immigration reform. WHY DIDN'T YOU DO THAT BEFORE SIGNING SB1070? You are COMMAND-IN CHIEF of the Arizona National Guard...It is so BULL SHIP (oops missed a key) to pass and sign SB1070 and assume nobody would NOT recognize it as nothing more than a POLITICAL ADVERTISEMENT NATIONWIDE. Why was this not an issue in January of 2009 that required such controversial legislation? Your DRUNK WITH POWER and just seeking to become duly elected in November...and you are just not bright enough for the JOB.

Cajazz76:24:8   July 30th, 2010 8:07 pm ET

John McCain...I hope like hell Arizona voters kick you to the floor...desert November..You're a two-faced hyperbole of reality and a mental midget just like Drink-whine Brewer....

This battle is really against Obama, illegals are collateral damage and political scapegoats. Arizona got scammed into peddling hate to baby boomer who live missing the days when the news, their sitcoms and commercials were played by white faces. Times have changed and so have the shades they see on TV and now a black Prez !
That feeling of losing the upper hand, scares them to death !

We need comprehensive immigration reform.

1) stop people from coming into the country illegally

2) punish employers who hire undocumented workers

3) create a guest-worker program

4) create a path-to-citizenship for illegal immigrants already in the country.

The McCain-Kennedy bill of 2005 had most of this. Sadly, the Senate never voted on this bill. Alas, McCain has abandonned his principles since then.

It intrigues me, these politicians think they can manipulate words to justify their evil wicked deeds. When the constitution of this great country is written in plain english.......Unless they, and their croonies amended it....I will abide by the constitution of the united state, before any state law.The state laws does not in any way over rides,or over sucede's the constitution of the united state. This whole issue about illegals is because an innocent citizen was murdered by a scumbag. With all the drug enforcement and government agencies that were hired by Defense Department.after 9/11.I believe there are almost 7,000 agencies located within the United State......I AM SURE the politicians of Arizona is aware of their existence.......Where are they? These contractors were getting paid many times more than our servicemen, and women who are presently fighting for our Freedom.Americans, you need to take a good look at the politicians who support the Arizona law.....These politicians, both republicians, democrates.they're interest is in their pockets, and not our FREEDOM,AND THE WELL FARE OF OUR CHILDREN.....

We do not race down the Main St., because the law says we can do only 25-30 miles and not 60!
We pay our taxes, because the law says so.
We go to school as children, because the law says so.
Etc., etc., etc.

It is illegal to cross international borders without a permit or visa, yet many do it, thus commiting a crime!
Why are so many out there who doesn´t understand that you cannot run a country without laws and security and punishing those criminals has nothing to do with racial profile.
If a 6` blond german would clime that wall and was cought, he would be just as well apprehended!
Only germans do not clime those walls, but short and dark latinos!
Should the sheriff look for blonds or catch those who are commiting the crime?

It's unfortunate that so many viewers cast their opinions without really educating themselves about the issues. I live in Arizona. Current immigrant policy is broken. Don't get me wrong, if I lived in Mexico with my wife and three children I'd do anything I could to migrate to America as well.
The reall issue is policy. There are too many illegals that are not on our payroll system. We need comprehensive guest worker policy reform. Americans cannot enjoy the standard of living its become accustomed to without cheap labor; however, Migrant workers must contribute to the system. Many do not pay taxes and all get free medical care. I recently brought my daughter to an upscale area hospital emergency room. My daughter and I were the only english speaking persons in the waiting room. I'm not blaming immigrants for taking advantage of medical care available to them...our current policies allow it. We offer a better standard of living for immigrants, offer medical care, an anchor baby policy and the fed gov sues the state of AZ for trying to enforce federal laws.
Our forefathers have got to berolling over in their graves. We (our generation) is systematically destroying America by the liberal and socialistic actions our leadership is taking. Sad state of affairs!
