American   July 28th, 2010 9:09 am ET

My family suffers like millions oft America because our families can't find jobs because to many illegals have them and the trickle down affect of the illegals children of the children of the children taking jobs and getting FREE medical care, FREE food, FREE housing, FREE schooling is part of breaking our economy. We need to not only Secure our borders which the laws already have supported for years, we need to enforce laws of illegal employment of illegals. I have worked my entire life I don't get anything free, because like billions of Americans we are paying for illegals. I want America back!!!!!!! What about the Americans!!!!!

Ted   July 28th, 2010 10:00 am ET

I agree with M. Moore on most subjects, however I strongly oppose his views on illegal immigration!
AZ became a battle zone because of the flood of illegals, many with drugs and weapons. Shooting is a daily occurance and the governor has not only the right, but the obligation, to protect the citizens of that state!
For many years they were asking for federal assistance, but our presidents are so busy to spread democracy all over the world that they do not have time to give the same attention to the plight of the citizens of their own country.

All illegals are criminals, as it is against the law to cross international borders without a permit: end of the discussion!
We have well over 12 million illegals in the country, the real number cannot be calculated, and it is time we stop this invasion. If you want to come to the USA apply for a permit, but do not sneak in like a thief.

We can stop this by going after the employers who hire illegals and pay no taxes. They should be fined $10,000 – 25,000 for each illegals they employ and voila, the stream would dry up. No job, no sense to risk the trip accross the border.

Latinos who are citizens or legal residents; it is in your interest to have this huge problem settled, as you all will suffer if this gets out of hand.

jim whalen   July 28th, 2010 10:00 am ET

This is just another attempt by Replicans to discredit the President with a total disreguard for the innocent people it will hurt. There are better ways to handle this problem than with this politics as usual approach of the Rep. right........JIM

Dan   July 28th, 2010 10:02 am ET

Who cares what Michael Moore thinks. His anti American viewpoints just show the amount of disprespect for lawabiding Americans and the law in general. My only question is that if he dislikes this country so much, why doesn't he go live in Cuba or Venezuela? He seems to like the way things are done there. I wonder how long he'd last if he went on TV or directed a movie critical of either of those two dictators.

Kerry Marty   July 28th, 2010 10:18 am ET

Hey Mike,
Yes theres plenty of room, no jobs, economy sucks, I'm a disability father single with custody of my 9 yr old. I(WE) live on SSDI which is a 1/10's a day pay for you, let them all in you got your life set, email me and I'll send you the address to help 2 Americans try to get by in this great big country you've made your money from, send a check, do something decent for 2 Americans, you don't have the human guts to do something just like that, put you money where your mouth is, I gave up a normal life to save Brown University females from being raped, that and a quarter won't by me a coffee, how tough is it for you struggle Mike??

Kathie   July 28th, 2010 10:32 am ET

what part of ILlegal don't people get??? my relatives and friends immigrated according to the LAW and waited in line. These illegals are demanding their "rights"–they have none since they are illegally here. calling an illegal alien undocumented is like calling a drug dealer an undocumented pharmacist! I am all for immigration according to the law. Arizona is just enforcing federal law that Washington doesn't have the guts to enforce all for fear of losing a vote. I am tired of the catering to illegal aliens. Let them go back to their country of origin and apply for legal entrance into our country and abide by the LAW! the majority of Americans are for this Arizona law and other states are beginning to follow Arizona's example. Illegals rape our education and health care systems and partake of our welfare (via their anchor children) to live high off the hog while sticking us with the bill!! Enough already.

Edward Levesque   July 28th, 2010 10:48 am ET

There are many in this country that are fed up with government at all levels from city, state and federal. if you really want change FIRE all of them, we need to elect regular people like policemen, firemen teachers, nurses, farmers, business owners, retired professionals, housewife's and just plain hard working Americans. White, Black, Hispanic and all Americans from different backgrounds to run this country, so I ask all people, to vote in November 2010 and 2012. Elect people like yourself and not the elites that running our country into the ground NOW

IF we all vote for people like you and I we would have a much better chance of common sense and we all would succeed much better

Thank you for your time

John H   July 28th, 2010 12:00 pm ET

I just don't understand why you keep bringing people like Michael Moore back on your program to ask them their opinions on the great questions of our time. He is totally predictable and on this subject is clearly out of the mainstream. He goes back to the old tired argument that unless you are a Native American or Black, you are also an illegal immigrant. I agree in the case of Black Americans who were brought here against their will but the Native American arguement doesn't hold water. There is no Race called Native American. The people we refer to as Native American. There were hundreds of seperate groups speaking different languages over a long period of time. There is no way you can identify with certainty which group was first and which following groups are Illegal Aliens according to Michael's logic. Before the first Europeans arrived, "Native Americans" fought wars with one another to occupy land occupied by earlier groups of people. It was not uncommon for them to raid nearby villages to kill their opponent males and take females and children as slaves. Yes, there were people already here when we first arrived but we were simply the latest group of warlike people to arrive and carry on the human tradition of taking by force that which is not yours. No one gets a Gold Star. It was not all roses and happy togetherness back then either.

Let me try another scenario where you are a tourist in New York City and have always wanted to see the Empire State Building. You get on an elevator which has a posted capacity and as you go up from floor to floor, the elevator stops and picks up additional passengers. The elevator soon fills up to capacity and a little more but continues to stop at higher floors taking on additional passengers. You begin to notice loud creaking and groaning noises making you a bit uncomfortable. Yet as you arrive at higher floors there are still people who want to get on with you. Let's say that you are a natural born Mexican American and you are beginning to fear for your life. At the next floor you are faced with half a dozen Irish Americans who try to force their way onto the elevator. You react by objecting to anymore passengers causing a fuss but you are successful in preventing these newer arrivals from getting on. Are you then a Racist? Do you not feel strongly that these newer arrivals should get in line and take a later elevator? The thing is that this country is fast arriving at that full to capacity level and all the open spaces that Michael Moore was talking about are open for a good reason. New arrivals are not all going to flock to the Mojave Desert to make their homes. They are going to flock to the areas which are already overpopulated. What we could do in the past by taking in all comers was due to circumstances in the past which no longer exist. If we continue to allow everyone who wants to come to enter no matter how they enter, we lower the quality of life for everyone perhaps in the end causing living conditions which are intolerable for everyone. I especially liked Larry King's response to Michael's assumption that Larry was another illegal alien. When Larry responded that no, he had researched it and his ancestors came here through Ellis Island, Michael's response was "Can You Prove It?" When Larry again responded that he can, Michael's response was something like OK, you are here legally but most of the other people favoring Arizona's Law cannot prove it. Now how childish is that. How many times have you heard one child state something and the other will respond Oh Yeah! Can you prove it? So Michael is boycotting Arizona! Well I'm going to do everything I can to support Arizona and if I find out a state, city, or business is boycotting Arizona, I will immediately boycott them and encourage everyone I know to do the same. Sorry for the long drawn out comment but sometimes when I listen to people like Michael Moore spout out about their Holier Than Thou views, it just makes my blook boil. .

John H   July 28th, 2010 12:34 pm ET

Sorry! Correction to my last sentence. It should makes my blood boil. I don't think I have any blook and if I did, I wouldn't know what it might be used for.

Esteban Benitez   July 28th, 2010 12:42 pm ET

The Arizona law should get rejected. The united states is made up of immigrants from across the world not just Hispanic. And without all those people the united state economy would be alot worst and No American want to go outside during the summer to built new houses, buildings, street, highways, or clean bathrooms or during the cold winter times. So I don't understand all these saying that immigrants are taking our jobs all it means that while your just relaxing they are working hard like no other American to have that job. Someone shouldnt be saying we are losing are jobs because is your own fault. But since the united state don't see that might of well burn the constitution, bill of rights. And start doing what hitler was doing. And gives all those immigrants from across the world whomis here in the united states a start and kill them all

TomC   July 28th, 2010 12:49 pm ET

I guess I will boycott Michael Moore films as long as he is boycotting AZ.

rj   July 28th, 2010 12:58 pm ET

Go Michael– proceed with the boycott unless this 'papers law is halted.
And now the modern media is brainwashing America’s Sheeple to
look at Latino people as the problem. Totally racist. Pundits
and politicians say they want to stop illegal residency in the US
but everyday people are walking in not just from the southern border
but the very unprotected northern border, and in airplanes as tourists overstayingand settling in the North East, taking over that area, but are they being deported? NO. (wink- wink, its ok For you because you have whiter skin and should blend in with so called white people) Why—because If they have English or French or Irish background no one seems to Care if THEY are illegal .. Why --because this is about discrimination against Latino people , plain an simple, Not protecting us from undocumented outsiders .

IKHAN   July 28th, 2010 1:46 pm ET

Hi Larry

its always refreshing to hear what Mr.Moore has to say. One may not agree with everything that he says, but unlike our politicians he comes across as a genuine person with feelings for his country.
Good you brought him back on the show.

@Edward Levesque
I wish what you say could happen But we will need a massive change in our laws covering elections. They have been made so complicated that only the rich & the privileged can think of running for public office.
@Kathie
no one disputes regulating the inflow of illegals. What is worrisome is abuse of the laws which mask the unacceptable underlining of racism & bias.

Nell Stangeland   July 28th, 2010 1:49 pm ET

I agree with Kathie"s comment posted 7-28-2010 @10:32 am ET and would add to it " When they go back to their OWN Country, Stay there and do all they can to improve THEIR COUNTRY so so many won't want to leave THEIR OWN COUNTRY>" You are creating one hell of a problem for us.The Governor of Arizona is sooo right in doing that.

maria   July 28th, 2010 1:57 pm ET

Oh, you all are all so angry with illegal immigrants. They took away your jobs! You want America back! -and on, and on and on- all this Republican mantra that they had successfully fed to you. But if you turn on your brains and start thinking, then you will figure out that this country's economy is built on cheap labor. The hospitality, service, farming, food processing, etc., industries – are all in the same boat. Cheap labor is about $ 3-5 per hour, and there is absolutely no protection of any rights. As long as employers will keep hiring them, deny them their rights and pay a fracture of what they would pay to Americans- those who you call illegals will keep coming, for in their countries you can live on $10 for a week. But it is much easier to turn you bigot anger on them rather than on the employers and big business.

mphseason   July 28th, 2010 2:08 pm ET

...and when they tell you, you have been layed off because the company can hire 30 of them at $7.25 an hour, no medical, no vacation and work varied hours 7 days a week.....Plus they collect EBT for free food and get sick/hirt, they can show up at the ER, get medical care and no collection agency is going to go after them. Either they move or I am.........

Madeline Timon   July 28th, 2010 2:29 pm ET

I would have liked to hear Micheal Moore's comment in the entirety unfortunately there were many interruptions from commercials. Moore may be a gadfly but he does make some critical points especially about the goverments relationship with corporate america.

Mambo   July 28th, 2010 4:46 pm ET

Michael Moore, commenting on the Arizona imigration law, gave insight into his very altruistic, liberal personna. He rails against the law and encourages a boycott of everything Arizonan because of the unfair, discriminating nature of the law. "Hey! It's a big country. Plenty of room for everyone," he tells King. Then goes on to ask King, "haven't you ever driven across Kansas?" Sure Michael. Lot's of room in America "out there" in Kansas. Put 'em "out there." but not in your backyard. He's a phony.

Luis B. Rosario   July 28th, 2010 4:53 pm ET

Michael Moore is correct in boycotting Arizona
Supreme Court Judge Susan Bolton struck down
Governor Brewer's own Immigration law package
stating that Governor Brewer and her cohorts(Pearce
and Sheriff Arpaio) intended to supercede the supremacy
of the federal government's own federal law in an area
that clearly infringes on the authority and the rights of
the federal government' purview. In other words Governor
Brewer good intentions apparently intended for the good
Arizona's citizens and for the good of the USA are just
convoluted and saturated with her own personal intentions
reflecting a wanton intent of protecting her personal interests
which appear to camouflage her true colors by attempting
to circumvent federal immigration laws to enact her own
peronal agenda to try to enforce a bogus enterprise which
is her " only legitimate purpose" to impose a "vigilante"
immigration.lllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllddll

anthony   July 28th, 2010 5:10 pm ET

The media is saying 70% of the people in Arizona are in favor of the stupid racist law,Arizona legislation is trying to pass.I'ed like to know where or what part of the community the poll was taken? All white community more like it.I was watching Larry King interviewing Michael Moore last evening, and Larry asked a question about the illigal immigrants in Arizona.Michael pointed out to Larry, white people came to this country illegally, and touched a core in Larry, immediately,he claimed that he was legal than, and legal now.....How easily do we forget the the people who embraced us with open arms.In return we slaugthered them because we want to own that part of the land these people happen to reside on.Larry, are you saying, killing all the children, mothers, and grandfathers is OK?I'ed like ask you,do you believe the 3.4 billion is more than enough to pay for the injustice done to the Indian people? That is slap on the face, and I HOPE, Indian people today are smarter than the way Hollywood picture's them.Selective memory I guess.

Lucy   July 28th, 2010 5:58 pm ET

I admire and enjoy Michael Moore. CAPITALISM - A LOVE STORY is coming up soon on one of the premium cable channels. I can't we to see it.

Michael Moore is a man who puts his money where his mouth (and heart is). Neat that he brought a film festival to Traverse City, MI where's he's not popular. I hope his actions cause some of those folks to reconsider their politics.

willy lewis   July 28th, 2010 6:34 pm ET

ok we have m13 up and down the east coast border crossing al-quieda with them and mexican illegal aliens, federal judges who say this is good and immigrants who say its profileing. Kinda funny how a normal taxpayers safety doesnt matter to the president, the court, the lawmakers, police or district attorneys, The INS hasnt done their job for years. Why is becoming a citizen such a chore, Thats easy. cant be an extremist and say the pledge of allegance with your hand over your heart. You dont have to learn english because you are either to stupid or dont want too. last i checked to become a citizen it was a requirement. english is the national language and our pledge has a non denominational god in it, cant understand that go back where u came form. denounce your citizenship to go to school you arent a citizen,, its the law already in place. WE DONT NEED A FEDERAL JUDGE>>> IF YOU ARE HERE ILLEGALALLY AND SOMETHING HAPPENS YOU ARE A NUMBER> A STATISTIC>>YOU ARE A TERRORIST> The IRS is only out to destroy the little guy. The NAACP is the most racist of organizations And civil rights organizations dont see caucasian men as a minority. If you come to this country to have babies and live off the support of others not pay taxes and work as your children reap benefits of those who do, you and your supporters be it the President of the USA or his JUDGES are terrorists to the USA...and the american citizen needs to wake up

Janice Johnson   July 28th, 2010 7:03 pm ET

I have lived in Arizona for the past 20 years. As a Democrat who lived in Minnesota for my first 45 years I have always wanted the best for the under-dog and still do. Michael has always been my hero but he just doesn't get it. This has nothing to do with racism and the point is fairness for all working people. All wages are driven down by illegal hiring. As long as employers can hire these folks and pocket the dirty wind-fall profits there will be no solution. The employers must be held accountable to the government by its enforcing E-Verify.

Arizona's finances are in trouble because of the drain on social services and this is not fair to the tax payers. I don't wish anything bad on these people but we shoulder extreme financial stress when it comes to emergency rooms, schooling, law enforcement, welfare etc.

It is the old story. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer. Under the table wages do not contribute to our system and the Federal government must kick in financially if it wants to keep the status quo.

Steve Lane   July 28th, 2010 7:26 pm ET

All Americans other than Native Americans and descendants of slaves are illegal immigrants. America was owned in common by Native Americans. They did not issue visas. The country was taken from them by force of arms and genocide. Those who rail against so called illegals are nothing but hypocrites. As for complaining about them taking jobs, well that is what free market capitalism (The American Way) is all about. The market is king and the market decides. Live with it.

Doris Turner   July 28th, 2010 8:17 pm ET

As I am writing this, at 1700 on Wednesday, 28 July, major portions of the law have already been put into suspension. Yes, the undocumented workers do many jobs, Americans would not do because it is easier to go on welfare. Many of the children of our undocumented workers are going to be some of the best and brightest, let's welcome them. Michael is right, it is a big country, but there are not enough jobs. Because of outsourcing jobs, many American workers hurt and lack of jobs is blamed on the 'illegals. I supported the Martin Luther King boycott eons ago, but are very much against a boycot this time. Nothing will be gained, many will be hurt. Our State Legislature is a Republican majority. They don't care about regular people, neither do McCain and Kyl. This state could have, should have, been in the forefront to deal with comprehensive and just immigration, but that was not in their interest either. So let's not blame this mess on the current administration. Thanks for letting me sound off.

Gabe   July 28th, 2010 8:19 pm ET

You see, I think most of the people are missing the point here!! I can understand that immigration need to be controlled and that the border needs to be reinforce so we can reduce the illegal entry to our country, but, tell me if you can make the difference between a latin person born here in the USA and another one that just came from Mexico, they can just look alike, so how the police can make Judgment when he stop a person because it looks Hispanic? can he tell by the looks if he or she is illegal? is this means that all who wear turbans are Taliban or all people from Spain are bullfighters or if all white people are blue-eyed and blonde?
Come on!!

Cathy   July 28th, 2010 8:37 pm ET

I agree with anthony. Larry claims his ancestors came "legally." By whose definition? It would be so ironic if police in Arizona arrested a Native American for being here "illegally" because he had dark skin and no papers.

Michael is right about the law being racist, but he's wrong about there being plenty of room here. The whole world is overpopulated, and so is the U.S. But people aren't coming because there's so much more room. They're coming because they are starving to death in their own countries. They can't possibly go back to their own country and improve it, because they are powerless. It isn't their fault, and we need to have compassion and stop blaming them for their problems. If you must blame someone, blame the Pope (all of them) for being so anti-contraception. Blame our own government for having policies that punish other countries for supporting contraception. I suspect that people who oppose contraception really like having an infinite source of cheap labor.

Also, the drugs flowing across the border wouldn't be here if Americans didn't buy them. Selling them wouldn't be nearly so lucrative if they hadn't been made illegal.

ALEJANDRO R.GONZALEZ   July 28th, 2010 9:08 pm ET

IM AN AMERICAN OF MEXICAN DESENT.AND I WISH THAT THERE WAS SOMETHING I COULD DO OR SAY TO MAKE ALL THE LATINOS JUST SIT DOWN FOR A WEEK OR TWO AT THE PEAK OF HARVEST TIME.AND ALLOW ALL THOSE PEOPLE WHO ARE CRYING ABOUT JOBS TO GO TO WORK.I SAY THAT WE ALL OF US AMERICAN LATINOS AND ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS JUST SIT DOWN IN PROTEST! VIVA LA RAZA!!!!!!

R J. Wisner   July 28th, 2010 9:35 pm ET

Wonderful program today, Larry. There were periods when only three people were talking at the same time.

Hector   July 28th, 2010 9:39 pm ET

I hope AZ battles this and the rest of you country ruining libs. Who cares what that blowhard Michael Moore thinks ! I cant wait for AZ to boycott hollywood and flip the switch! This is nobodys business but AZ's. Maybe all you illegal lovers should go down and stand along the borders and let the drug cartels and murderers use you as human sheilds and mules! Obama's regime wont enforce the border because they know they need the votes of these multi millions of welfare leeches. He knows he's in the tank and couldnt get elected to park board by the rest of the country. It is really sickening that this country wont even protect our border counties. Maybe we should just give them back to Mexico, sounds like a good leftist socialist plan.

Braden Klune   July 28th, 2010 9:53 pm ET

Lots of teabag-talibaner up in here!

Charles   July 28th, 2010 11:13 pm ET

@Braden Klune,
I wonder what some fools would talk about if we did not have the tea party.

Ingeborg Metag   July 29th, 2010 5:44 am ET

The imigration law is indispensable worldwide disgusting, inhuman not only for imigration people and for locals citiziens also with endorsements focusing on Slavery, in proper state fraud, less general ignorance opposite justice, humanrights and more and more supported organisated crime stated by state-employees with greedy complice _medical, economy-manager , socialemployees, grauser judge that serve more criminel as theyr victims and so on.

Ladys and Gentleman!!!!!
Should the upper Justice return to the tasks for what they practice law.
Then, refusal is a acriminel offense also!
Thank you Mike, for animate the citizens brain and may it can be useful.

Don't silent more!!!! Open your mouth and defense your Life and so on. The road is long, but force the responsible authorities to tend to theyr works and help the small normal citiziens, no matter in what area or federal district you live. Complain disturb you over injustices way they can you right.

But, the population has little confidence in the judiciary or the legal systhem _WorldWide_!

One such example is: If a majority of so-called 'committed European' protect these so called 'separatisst' , so often simplicated in Franko African scandals from the law it is because in fact despite all speeches they may make they all share a certain idea of Europe, one where tax havens, arms dealers and oil-companies reign supreme, a political world that is poisoned by money and a contempt for justice and for the sovereignty of the peoples, the front-line victims of his _arms for oil_ trafficking.

ACCESS TO JUSTICE AND THE ADMINISTRATION OF JUSTICE ARE ALSO TO BE IMPROVED!!!!!!!!

The profit of regulated state-fraud, reward itself for an concert or going to theatre:
As a result, thousands or milion people _and so do we_ ar staving or are imminent danger of dying of stavition, trembling loggings becaus intern state-fraud and human trafficking, and don't get jobs and so on, and so on.

DO ALMOST NOTHING IS ALSO NO SOLUTION!
REVEALS THE COMPLICES; GRAUSER AND DOES STOP BY STATE INTERN TRAITORS FOR EXAMPLE SMALL REGIEMWORKERS THEIR MANIPULATED YOUR BRAIN;SUPPORTED OUR ENEMYS; UNIVERSITIY- FE:GARCHING ODER ANDERE EU FOKUSED some eu-lawers as sphere spain, rotting judge's and so on.,

Ash   July 29th, 2010 6:43 am ET

What jobs do illegals have that you are somehow being 'denied'? Working in the fields picking fruits and vegetables for less than minimum wages? Scrubbing floors and toilets? Digging ditches? Washing dishes? I don't disagree about enforcing immigration laws, but these arguments that illegals are stealing supposedly "great jobs" from Americans are ridiculous.

PatH   July 29th, 2010 7:49 am ET

Moore is a self serving idiot out to support anything that will get him some press converage and line his pockets. Hes not even American....so Mr. Moore, shut up who cares what you think.

heavenreach   July 29th, 2010 8:59 am ET

discrimination against the citizens of the united states is wrong. Taxpayers are forced to pay for the freebie benefits for illegals, furthering the discrimination. No rights given to citizens, all rights given to illegal aliens, who by law are criminals and have no rights under our constitution. voter base build up is behind it and should be criminal.

Kyle Field   July 29th, 2010 9:03 am ET

I refuse to watch anything with Moore in it...he's a con artist that spins his documentaries into his view to "trick" the viewer (aka his 911 movie). I scrolled right down to the comments and read a lot of them.

Anyhow, the bottom line is these people are ILLEGALLY in our country. They are considered "criminals". Go home and improve YOUR country...don't bring down ours.

If I didn't have a wife and child, I'd leave this country...it's going downhill really fast.

Sandy   July 29th, 2010 11:21 am ET

Hope the Sheriff grabs this fat ass Moore and puts him in one of his makeshift jails. He could stand to lose a few pounds by sweating in the hot Arizona sun!!!

He's just trying to revive a never-was career by getting involved in anything that's negative and grabbing some headlines.

RSS   July 29th, 2010 11:23 am ET

I am Sure that Americans will never take any open jobs when the Mexicans Boycott, and they will scratch their heads thinking what to do. They will never and never work, once they are on state benifits. One thing i do not understand is how in the world any one can sit at home and think there are no jobs. Jobs are always there and it takes maximum 24 hours to find a new job. I tried it my self and in one week i got 30 offers. Stop the unemployement and hope fully then every unemployed will start getiing off their buts by switching off the TV, and go and get work at least to clean the garden and plant some vegitables where, they do not have to cry like a pseodo cry baby of not finding any jobs. There are lot of jobs avalable. Stop going back to old days of discrimination, Every human is equal regardless of race, colour or sex.

TEXAN   July 29th, 2010 11:29 am ET

Dear "American"

No one has "taken" your country. Millions of Hispanics are employed by jobs that WHITE people give them. I understand your fustration, but you're directing your anger towards the wrong folks. Your country is still here, it just belongs NOW more to the ultra-elite rich that G.W. Bush allowed to become even more richer. This RECESSION is/was created/allowed by the George W. Bush administration.

WE ARE IN THE GEORGE W. BUSH RECESSION. That is where your anger should be directed.

ProudHumanBeing   July 29th, 2010 12:09 pm ET

Here we are. The year 2010. Thank God.

Just by reading all those comments make's me sick. I feel like if i live in another country. Could it be the USA is loosing its Super Power status, and its racist citizens are just looking for someone to blame. I feel your pain. No jobs. Economy is bad. People loosing there homes. i get it. Please don't blame the Hispanic community for ERRORS your Government has made. Republicans have taken us to were we are right now. Deficit, wow. The greatest country on earth and its breaking up. If racism don't stop. Soon will see fighting among ethnicities. We don't want that. Let's live in harmony and continue to make this the greatest place on Earth. Si se Puede. Yes we can.

BDRNick   July 29th, 2010 12:10 pm ET

As an overall thought to the forum... If you, your family or your friends are complaining about uneducated, illegal immigrants taking your jobs, why don't you be proactive and get yourselves an education that would not leave you "competing" for the jobs you say are being taken? And by "competing", I mean complaining about the hard, back-breaking labor I'm sure you're really excited about taking on, especially in the 110° Arizona sun.

heresme   July 29th, 2010 12:52 pm ET

All I have to know is Michael Moore is opposed to it. He's an Anti-American Idiot.

Jeff Fowler   July 29th, 2010 1:51 pm ET

No-one cares what the elitist, Millionaire Michael Moore thinks!

And another thing....Now that it is illegal for State and Local Law Enforcement to enforce laws the Federal Government is also enforcing, does that mean, Local government can't enforce/regulate: Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, Murder, Theft, Drug Smuggling...Those are all Federal offenses too.

ctbeckyw   July 29th, 2010 3:35 pm ET

This whole discussion is ridiculous. The law mirrors the federal law that already exists EXCEPT it allows/requires local law officials to enforce it.

Michael Moore on this subject is a big blowhard. He needs to read the law as does all those others who call for a boycott saying the law is racist. It isn't. It's nationalistic and that is NOT a bad thing.

All those who, like Kyle, who say they'd leave the US if , please just go and take Susan Sarandon and her ex-not-hubby with you. They were supposed to leave when GWB got elected the first time but haven't seemed to find enough time to pack yet.

If Michael Moore does not agree with the law maybe he should open his wallet and pay to take care of all these people here illegally.

I agree with Michael Moore. They reaon they jumb the border is because they can't find work in there country in the first place.
The don't come here to Kill, Rape or Rob, we have our own to do that.

Thanging the syubject: When is Condelesa Rice coming our for our next President. She would win big.

Arizona just got a tremendous surge in support with Michael Moore's declaration that he was boycotting them. This is just like the boost Moore gave to George W. Bush's bid for a second term, as I have little doubt that his third-grade level rantings was enough to convince most people that they wanted nothing to do with him.

What's all this about illegals getting benefits and health care? How is it possible for somebody without citizenship to receive benefits? I believe this is just another one of those exaggerations spread around to get people all upset. OK there might be some jobs that are taken by illegals, but I still believe the vast majority of jobs held by illegals are jobs that Americans have refused to take. And they may help crowd emergency health care facilities, but what are we gonna do, refuse health care to somebody seriously hurt? Illegals may contribute to a small amount of crime, but from my experience most illegals are way too busy minding their own business, working their 12 hour a day jobs, and staying out of trouble to be any crime threat. Lets get real, people, and stop spreading llies and confusion.

MIke,

Just wanted to say thanks for not showing your biased movies in MY state of Arizona. In fact I hope that you never come here. I have boycotted your movies since you twisted the facts of my hometown of Flint. You wouldn’t know the truth if it came up and bit you in the backside. You want to be a stand up guy, donate the money you make to the Arizona farmers family killed by illegal’s at the border. While you’re at it make a movie about the plight of the illegal Mexican drug cartel killing innocent victims in Maricopa county. Maybe you could film all the kidnappings that never happen by illegals. I got another idea follow my son and daughter around and film them looking for a job.

Funny how all of you guys are so upset about the illegal immigrants taking jobs, getting free healthcare, free educations but are completely okay with LEGAL IMMIGRANTS coming into your country and hurting it. Sexy spies working for microsoft, real state jobs, how about middle eastern men coming LEGALLY to work in American companies and then trying to bomb NYC! I'm not saying some being illegal is not a crime but people complaining about their jobs taken away by them is a lie...Would an american rather work at Mcdonald's or Microsoft? I think your ILEGAL IMMIGRANTS are taking your jobs. Wake up and actually look at who is really hurting your country the American army soldier who went and killed his own people for his religion or the hispanic dad of four who was beaten to death by four rich kids in an affluent part of NYC? Yes! we do have problems but it's not only with our illegal immigrants we have problems with all the society in America. Stop using other people as scapegoats and stop complaining about the problem! America is full of problems and not all the problems lie on the ILLEGALS!

This kind of reminds me of what American Indians must have felt after seeing the white man move in time and time again on their land and the whites would just keep coming with no respect to their Indian rights. What a bunch of sick hip of crips the complainers are. After millions were killed, millions of buffalos killed the Indians were moved from one location to another and on and on.It just sickens me that people don't see that the law in Arizona discriminates on the legal hispanics with racial profiling. They don't see the wrong because it don't effect them.If you don't see the injustice then the word means just us to them.

John Reilly   August 16th, 2010 8:18 pm ET

We should allow illegal immigrants to come here
"because it's a big country".

If George W. Bush said that, he'd be called "dumb".

Why isn't it dumb if Michael Morre says it?

Bill   October 13th, 2010 9:07 pm ET

Michael, would you ever consider making a movie exploring the role of lobbyists and the conundrums that causes with various legislative efforts in Congress? In my opinion, uncurbed lobbying and favors/funds provided by lobbyists account for the greatest cause of Congressional gridlock and the stupefying lack of progress on so many issues. Your ability to shine a light on this issue, problematic for both Democrats and Republicans, is something I firmly believe can help. Embarrassment is often the only way to move forward!

Larry,
If your parents were illegal would you leave?

Anonio Oares   October 13th, 2010 9:18 pm ET

All men are borne equal, so all men are legal or illegal?
