Where is your oil-water seperator Russell Crowe?

William   June 9th, 2010 7:41 pm ET

Can't hurt to try it.
Obama and BP don't have the solution.
Red Tape always gets in the way of good ideas.

Roberta Gallant   June 9th, 2010 7:48 pm ET

Larry, why does Wall Street contain a lack of supervision
for its employees to take out of trouble? The United States
Senate and House of Represetatives should not completely
surprise Wall Street again. Currently, America is in such
a huge financial mess! Americans need their jobs back.

Joan Andresen   June 9th, 2010 9:21 pm ET

Does B.P. want to shut the oil off completely, or do they want to still retrieve the oil out of this well. Is our government and B.P. on the same page?

Dominick Cizek, Ocala,Florida   June 9th, 2010 10:00 pm ET

Larry, What happened at the Costner Congress hearings?
When can he deploy his Centrafuge in the gulf

Thank you

The Tragedy of Van Der Slot!!
I am aZimbabwean living in Australia
Five years ago I visited theUSA and the story about Natalie's disappearance was fully covered by Larry King. When vacation was done I left USA and returned to Australia about two weeks ago I returned to the USA to visit and again my visit coincided with another tragedy perpertrated by Van Der slot. WHAT A COINCIDENCE. I started wondering whether this is fate or destiny

Hey CNN; Just a thought. If BP can't do its own dirty work, why not just use a 'tactical nuke' to seal the well and fully contain the outflow?
I find it hard to watch this disaster, being from the most pristine coastal area in North America.
How much damage would be done if such a weapon was discharged on the FLOOR of the gulf? Not as much as HAS been done so far by BP!!

Pls pass this on to Anderson Cooper and Larry King.

Bravo to Kevin Costner. This is the type of invention that have been waiting for. I hope he gets a chance to prove it. Maybe he needs to literally drop it on the doorsteps of the White House, then maybe he will get some attention and action.

leonard   June 10th, 2010 8:14 pm ET

Jessie

Air/oil..water/oil..even poop from peanut separators, have been around for over a century, Costner is just trying to make a buck off of, and more notoriety from, what is really a simple, almost Mickey Mouse contraption that the oil companies should have had decades ago on a super-industrial scale in this country, like the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has had for decades and have had the opportunity to use it, not all that long ago and to great success.. Costner's set up is a wet/dry vacuum cleaner essentially. You can do the same thing with a wet/dry vacuum and a centrifuge attachment installed, something to sling the heavier oil away from the water...

I don't understand why they have not cordon off the area around the well head as i have made the suggestion to a couple of different people.we need to fit this well with a concrete ring with a sock type device or trash chute as the chute fills it will float to the top where we can use Costner device to extract oil the oil will displace the water and the head pressure will slow the flow if not stop it.Ialso think that we need to have the boom extend 2 feet above water and proably 6 feet below

lou ann   June 23rd, 2010 4:10 pm ET

Hopefully criminal charges will be imposed upon those who were in charge and purposely ignored the safety rules and regulations, thus causing this whole mess, in order to save time and money. How ironic! They should be put behind bars for as long as it takes to get everything, including the environment, back to the pre-spill days, even if it takes decades.
