I understand the desire to make things less biased in America, but there are a lot of good reasons why blood donations are not accepted from homosexuals. Even to accept them and test them, there is still a risk with accepting their blood. It's nothing to do with discrimination, but more to do with risk. They don't accept blood from severely obese or severely thin people, either. Or if you have certain genetic components to your blood they won't accept it either (like sickle-cell anemia).

Dear drc,
If you think that assuming homosexuals have riskier blood then heterosexuals is not discrimination, you too are archaic.

Thank you Lady Gaga for helping to spread awareness for Lupus. I was diagnosed in 2007. Lupus is a complex and often misunderstood disease, and it is on the rise and they do not know why. The more people who can get educated about this devastating disease that takes the lives of 20,000 people a year (mostly women) would be great. Thank you so much xxooxxoo

Thank you Lady Gaga for helping raise much needed attention and awareness for Lupus.
I live in Australia and Lupus exposure almost dosent exist over here Yet we have the second highest rate of Lupus in the World! It took me over 5 years to be diagnosed and I have had to go to extremes to try and get attention, by walking 1000klm from Brisbane to Sydney to raise awareness. Please Get in the Loop for Lupus and get educated!

She is talented unlike Madonna, but she bores me. I wish they would just perform and not give their opinion on world events. Most of these people are not educated. Just lucky that they were noticed.
