My daughters ages 1 & 2 are Lady Gaga fans. Anytime they hear her songs on the radio they will stop what they are doing to dance. What makes "Lady Gaga" feel she can speak intelligently on military matters such as the "don't ask, don't tell" policy. Let's leave those decisions up to those who have actually served our county. Perhaps if you gave up a year of your multi-million dollar career to get in the mix, you might see the relevance of some of the policies in place. Those in the military do not have the same liberties as civilains; they have to live on a hard line, and that is what makes it successful. Mission accomplishment should not be over shadowed by having to wonder if the same gender is interested in you. Petty as that sounds, the military is a very masculine organization and those with genuine thoughts like that do not need such distractions - that can lead to those being worried about such things, petty or not, being killed on the battle field.

Anyway, I'm quite sure "Lady Gaga" would ever give up her comfortable lifestyle for two grand per month and no guarantee of coming back home alive. Moreover, obviously just my opinion here, but food for thought when considering a purchase of her album. Has she done anything for the military?

Great, another celebrity with an opinion on a political issue such as "Don't Ask, Don't Tell". All for gay rights, but exactly what would qualify LadyGaga to talk intelligently on gays in the military? Personal experience with the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" law or does she wants to step up and serve her country? I support gays serving openly in the military if the military can make the change with little disruption to its ranks and alienate the majority of those currently serving. In other words, let the military continue with their investigation as promised by the Pres before repelling the law.

“Lady GaGa” is a very extreme hype product. She might be entertaining to some – but utterly brainless to others. It would be nice if young people choose real and positive people to associate with and look up too.
