Nice to see that he is getting recognized by the Apollo Theatre. He deserves every bit of recognition. He did so much for so many. It is our turn to ensure that he is remembered for what he truly accomplished. Thank you for this article.

If the Apollo could talk, there would be some amazing stories to hear.
I wonder if Mr. Jackson would be receiving this honor if he were still alive. Sadly he received many honors since his death that should have been bestowed him in life. His is a tragic story with an equally tragic ending.

Michael Jackson's former doctor may seek to delay preliminary hearing - Report
The physician accused of Michael Jackson's manslaughter may seek to delay the preliminary hearing of his trial - because his legal team is yet to receive the full criminal file relating to the pop legend's death, celebrity website TMZ reported Monday.
Miranda Sevcik, a spokesperson for Dr. Conrad Murray's lawyer, told TMZ the defense team only received 3,500 pages of the document.
They may seek to delay the June 14 hearing if the rest of the document is not forthcoming.
Murray pleaded not guilty to involuntary manslaughter in February.
The physician, who runs medical practices in Houston and Las Vegas, was barred by the California Medical Board from administering or prescribing sedatives as a condition of his bail.

They have the complete coroner’s report. So Dr. Murray continues to practice medicine in California(except for sedatives), Texas and Nevada while extending this trial. I find that appalling.

Dr. Conrad Murray should have had his license revoked once he was found responsible for giving all those medications to Mr. Jackson in conjunction with the anesthetic. At the very least a temporary suspension is warranted considering the circumstances. What a tragic ending for Mr. Michael Jackson. He was a remarkable entertainer and that is what he should be remembered for. The Apollo is a wonderous place filled with nostalgia. I would encourage anyone who in in the vicinity to visit the Apollo and go on a tour, or to a performance. It is a grand place.

This is wonderful news. I just wish some, if not all of this acknowlegement of Michael and what he was about would've have come long before last June. SInce then he has been awarded time and time again. He so deserves every bit of it and then some. He deserves it all.

I sat in the audience during amateur night at the Apollo Theater in the middle of August in 1967 and watched the Jackson Five play. They won that night and a short time later were making it big on Motown Records. I always wondered if they would ever have a walk of fame to commemorate all those who once played there and then hit it big. It's nice to see it happened.

This is awesome. A well deserved honor for the most legendary entertainer of all time.

Michael Jackson's Kids Are In Distress
After the death of Michael Jackson, his three kids are staying with their grandmother Katherine. But it has emerged that the kids are living in distress. Katherine reportedly takes care of five other children apart from her grandchildren children, Prince, 12, Paris, 11, and Blanket, 7 at her LA home.
Questions are being asked on their living condition after one of the children was seen brandishing a 300,000-volt stun gun and the other had slapped his brother in the face.

Notice was given to Katherine, he take proper action by by child welfare officials to act a month ago due to too many threats to ‘a stable life’ for Jackson’s children. Alejandra and her kids continue to stay there in unfavorable condition till date.

A source reveals, “These are really tense and frightening times. With eight kids in one place it's a burden for Katherine.Officers asked for the numbers to be reduced, but nothing has happened. It's just a few days before they check back, and they have enough grounds to take all the youngsters into care. It's a nightmare and we are terrified of the next step.

This last Apollo Theater Honor for Michael Jackson is fills our hearts with joy, but all this is long overdue, just as was his induction in their Hall of Fame. He deserved all this while he was still alive. I have mixed feeling about this ACCOLADE. Sorry folks!!

I don't believe this for a minute. I saw an interview with Jermaine and his 2 sons who live at Hayvenhurst after the stungun affaire. They were saying that "someone who came along with MJ's kids" is causing trouble. Jaafar said that they and MJ's kids got along very well and how they even missed each other when they were apart. But this "someone" (maybe it's Nanny Grace) did not want them there and brought in the CHILDREN's Authorities. Of course we don't know what's happening inside that house, but bear in mind that Katherine raised 9 children of her own. Rebbie even moved in with her mother to help with the kids. Alejandra was taking care of hers all those years without any problems. So what's the big commotion about now?
It's like it always have been when it concerns MICHAEL Jackson, the media blows everything out of proportion!!! Please let's keep an OPEN MIND and see what happens in the future. KATHRINE Jackson is a loving mother to her own children and now to ALL her grandchildren.

I always liked Michael Jackson and after his death, I read everything I could about him (including trial transcripts) and saw his concerts on DVD.
Now I love him.
During the last 15/20 years of his life; all we heard was the tabloid trash and saw the bad pictures. All the lawsuits...someone said...Why get a job? Just sue Michael Jackson.

Do you remember,whenn cris carie and me was talking about the interview with Brian Oxman?And he said,peaples should go to this June 14th at the Superior Court of Los Angeles,and everyone should have t-shirt on with Justice for MJ sign?And my idea was that peaples should do this all over the world,not only at the building.I was write eömail to Oxman,and he answered this:
"Hi Tunde,
This is Mr.Oxman's assistant. We offered the Justice for Michael t-shirts to the fans to promote the cause and the company providing them only sold 28! They may soon be offering hoodies as well but I don't expect that the demand will be much higher. I am concerned for what might happen on 14 June if bus loads of CM supportors and MJ fans all show up near the courthouse. If there is all this hoopla for a hearing to set preliminary hearing date, what is going to happen as the case progresses to voir dire and the trial? How will they be able to seat a jury? There has been so much information already available. Might there be a change of venue? But where in the world could this case be tried where there hasn't been a deluge of pretrial information circulating?

What a wonderful honor to be bestowed upon Michael Jackson.

Many of us have watched him grow up or grew up along with him to see the wonderful man he is. He was a beautiful child full of love and spunk and talent beyond his age and wisdom beyond his age.

It is wonderful to know that he is being given this honor that he so deserves. Probably should have been given this honor a long time ago – but things don't always happen as we expect them to or want them to.

This MAN has given so much to the people of the world; not just sharing his wonderful music and performing talents – but his humanitarian efforts around the world. He has done more financially and through awareness for the needs of children around the world than any other before him or since. There are no thanks big enough to properly thank him for all he has done for our brothers and sisters. I hope that honors such as this continue to be bestowed upon Michael Jackson to reaffirm the wonderful attributes of this blessed and peaceful human being.

He Knew.

Years ago Michael and I were having a deep conversation about life in general.

I can't recall the exact subject matter but he may have been questioning me about the circumstances of my Fathers Death.

At some point he paused, he stared at me very intensely and he stated with an almost calm certainty, "I am afraid that I am going to end up like him, the way he did."

I promptly tried to deter him from the idea, at which point he just shrugged his shoulders and nodded almost matter of fact as if to let me know, he knew what he knew and that was kind of that.

So nice to see the bloggy at PEACE ! Another blog asked me to spread this message. I agree with Joe and Mr M......." If anyone represents or defends MJ with hate or violence – they are neither representing or defending him." The MJ fans have gained visibility throughout the world – I am hoping that they will show tolerance and PEACE like MJ would.

It has recently come to our attention that Conrad Murray supporters will be demonstrating at the preliminary hearing, June 14th at the Superior Court of Los Angeles, much like Michael’s supporters have always done. This is their right just as it is ours.

We would like to urge fans that are planning to attend to please do so in peace, unity, and love for Michael. There should be NO violence, NO slander, NO yelling, and NO bad-mouthing or name-calling of Murray or his supporters. This reflects negatively on Michael. He would not support this type of behavior. The press called Michael names that were undeserved and hurtful. By acting out and creating chaos, our message can not be heard or is overshadowed by our behavior. By calling names, we are lowering ourselves to their level. That would only contribute to the filthy tabloid gossip. Michael deserved better than that. We must honor him, his wishes, and his message of peace and compassion, even in the face of opposition. Both sides can peacefully co-exist and let the justice be served inside the courtroom, just as it has been before.

Please ignore their signs, actions and words. DO NOT acknowledge their presence, IGNORE them completely, and certainly do not respond to anything they have to say. DO NOT let them bait you into an argument or lashing out to defend Michael. That is what they want. Our protest should be silent. We do not want to draw any attention to them at all. The world needs to see Michael’s light shining through all of you instead.

Our message is much bigger, better, and more dignified by not using slanderous or vulgar words. Your respect will make a much larger statement that will be revered instead of criticized. Their behavior toward a silent prayer vigil will only make them look bad. They cannot fight if there is no one to fight with. Do not give them the fuel for their fire.

Please do not even acknowledge their banners. Our banners will stay the same: “Justice for Michael”. We all have a common, unifying mission, which is JUSTICE FOR MICHAEL. We do not have to respond to them at all, because Conrad Murray supporters are not on the side of righteousness or justice, they are wrong, and right will prevail.

This is much deeper than just a demonstration. This will go down in history. Whatever your actions are that day, will be part of Michael’s legacy. When people look back on this day we want them to remember Michael, not Conrad Murray. Michael Jackson supporters are not to be looked down on as crazed fanatics, but as crusaders for peace and love. This is what Michael Jackson is, was, and always will be. It is what he believed in and stood for. We are HIS voice, representing HIM.

You have caught the attention of the entire world; you represent their conscience and inspiration. This is your chance to impact Michael’s legacy and reputation for generations to come. We must stand together to honor him. We can shut them out completely and let our message speak for itself. The most powerful impact you can have in carrying on his legacy, is spreading his peace and love. Our silent protest and prayer vigil will be seen and felt the world over. Make Michael proud!

CuriousCat- Here is my answer to your queation about what I see in the rabbit hole. ---There for a long time the rabbit hole was filled with hate and evil. Now that the evil and hate has been weeded out, there is LOVE. A LOVE that has not been seen or felt here in a very long, long time. I honestly feel that Michael's dream can become a reality now. It is Michael's story to tell and it is being told bit by bit. Just be warned that nothing is as it seems.

PS- Now the floodgates of hate have been opened again.

MESSAGE TO THE FANS, FROM MR. JOSEPH JACKSON AND MR. MAJESTIK MAGNIFICENT:
MAY 10, 2010

It has recently come to our attention that Conrad Murray supporters will be demonstrating at the preliminary hearing, June 14th at the Superior Court of Los Angeles, much like Michael’s supporters have always done. This is their right just as it is ours.

We would like to urge fans that are planning to attend to please do so in peace, unity, and love for Michael. There should be NO violence, NO slander, NO yelling, and NO bad-mouthing or name-calling of Murray or his supporters. This reflects negatively on Michael. He would not support this type of behavior. The press called Michael names that were undeserved and hurtful. By acting out and creating chaos, our message can not be heard or is overshadowed by our behavior. By calling names, we are lowering ourselves to their level. That would only contribute to the filthy tabloid gossip. Michael deserved better than that. We must honor him, his wishes, and his message of peace and compassion, even in the face of opposition. Both sides can peacefully co-exist and let the justice be served inside the courtroom, just as it has been before.

Please ignore their signs, actions and words. DO NOT acknowledge their presence, IGNORE them completely, and certainly do not respond to anything they have to say. DO NOT let them bait you into an argument or lashing out to defend Michael. That is what they want. Our protest should be silent. We do not want to draw any attention to them at all. The world needs to see Michael’s light shining through all of you instead.

Our message is much bigger, better, and more dignified by not using slanderous or vulgar words. Your respect will make a much larger statement that will be revered instead of criticized. Their behavior toward a silent prayer vigil will only make them look bad. They cannot fight if there is no one to fight with. Do not give them the fuel for their fire.

Please do not even acknowledge their banners. Our banners will stay the same: “Justice for Michael”. We all have a common, unifying mission, which is JUSTICE FOR MICHAEL. We do not have to respond to them at all, because Conrad Murray supporters are not on the side of righteousness or justice, they are wrong, and right will prevail.

This is much deeper than just a demonstration. This will go down in history. Whatever your actions are that day, will be part of Michael’s legacy. When people look back on this day we want them to remember Michael, not Conrad Murray. Michael Jackson supporters are not to be looked down on as crazed fanatics, but as crusaders for peace and love. This is what Michael Jackson is, was, and always will be. It is what he believed in and stood for. We are HIS voice, representing HIM.

Martin Luther King Jr. said,
“A riot is the language of the unheard. All labor that uplifts humanity has dignity. Importance should be undertaken with painstaking excellence. We must love our enemies – or else? The chain reaction of evil – hate begetting hate”

MICHAEL IS LOVE AND PEACE, NOT HATE! This is the message we must unite to send to the world.

You have caught the attention of the entire world; you represent their conscience and inspiration. This is your chance to impact Michael’s legacy and reputation for generations to come. We must stand together to honor him. We can shut them out completely and let our message speak for itself. The most powerful impact you can have in carrying on his legacy, is spreading his peace and love. Our silent protest and prayer vigil will be seen and felt the world over. Make Michael proud!

Who is Majestik Magnificent?

Q: Tell me more about Michael Jackson’s personal magician.
A: That’s just what everyone needs, a personal magician.

Not much is known about the Gloved One’s personal magician, who goes by the name Majestik Magnificent. I have also seen the name spelled “Majestic” with a c and also “Majestic the Magnificent.” I’m pretty sure this is the same person. Besides, the Jackson Five went by several different spellings: The Jackson 5, The Jackson 5ive, J5, and The Jacksons.

Attempts by Mr. Smarty Pants to contact Michael Jackson’s current attorney Thomas Mesereau and his former attorney Marc Geragos about the subject were completely futile.

Next I tried using the surname databases, but couldn’t find “Magnificent” (it sounds French to me). Then, using an online telephone directory, I found a “Seven Magnificent” on “Wish Avenue” in Van Nuys, Calif. Since “Seven of Nine” was a character on Star Trek: Voyager (portrayed by actress Jeri Ryan), I can only guess that Seven is a woman’s name and Seven Magnificent might be a female relative. But drat, I couldn’t get Seven Magnificent or Jeri Ryan on the phone.

Next, I checked with the Society of American Magicians. Ed Thomas, who is vice-president of their Magicians Hall of Fame and Magic Museum in Los Angeles, says he has never heard of Majestik Magnificent under any spelling.

Based on my research, Majestik Magnificent has been a close friend of the Jackson family dating back at least to the 1993 child molestation charges against Michael Jackson. He seems to have dodged the news for much of the 1990s. Then, during a 2003 interview by the BBC’s Louis Theroux with Michael Jackson and his father, Joe, apparently Majestik interrupted quite a bit: Majestik then says he will cancel the interview if another question is asked about Michael Jackson’s nose.

Theroux asks Mr Jackson if he wishes his son had a partner.

When he describes partner as “boyfriend or girlfriend”, Majestik says: “What are you trying to say, that Michael’s gay?”

Majestik says the question is disrespectful to Joe Jackson, who later says “we don’t believe in gays. I can’t stand them.” Mr Jackson then calls an end to the interview.

According to a 2003 blog, Majestik the Magnificent used to perform at a place in Hollywood, Calif., called Carlos & Charlies, which no longer exists (not to be confused with the Lake Travis restaurant by that name). The blog says Majestik doesn’t like living in California because of earthquakes.

According to another blog, Magnificent didn’t care much for reporter Diane Dimond during an interview he did with MSNBC’s Lisa Bloom and Joe Scarborough, but he did reveal he used to be a personal magician for Muhammad Ali for five years.

BLOOM: Can I ask you a question? Why does Michael Jackson have a personal magician? I’ve never hear of such a thing. Are you going to be doing some sleight of hand to try to help him out of this?

MAGNIFICENT: Everybody’s a comedian now, I see.

BLOOM: I’ve never heard of someone having a personal magician.

MAGNIFICENT: I was a personal magician with Muhammad Ali for five years.

SCARBOROUGH: Majestik, let me ask you a question.

MAGNIFICENT: Sure.

SCARBOROUGH: You certainly don’t have to defend working for Michael Jackson. I do want to ask you, though, Majestik, you have blamed the media. You said the media needs to leave Michael Jackson alone; it’s the media’s fault. Don’t you think that Michael Jackson’s behavior may, in fact, be what’s putting him where he is right now?

MAGNIFICENT: No, it’s people like that other guy that just was on and Diane Dimond that has some personal vendetta against Michael and won’t give Michael a fair shake, because I don’t know if it’s jealousy, envy, but these allegations are a conspiracy because of the album that’s coming out. These allegations are something to tarnish his name in history, and you will see in a court of law it will be clear.

Last year, the New York Daily News alluded that Jermaine Jackson may be responsible for Majestik Magnificent’s involvement with Michael and that the connection was through Leonard Muhammad, the son-in-law of Nation of Islam Minister Louis Farrakhan.

Magnificent Majestick, a confidant of Jackson’s dad, Joe, and the pop star’s “personal magician,” said the group was brought in by Jacko’s Muslim sibling Jermaine, who wants someone to make sure his brother is not taken to the cleaners.
According to reports, Majestik has been seen accompanying Michael Jackson during his 2005 trial.

By the way, Majestik isn’t the only magician in Michael Jackson’s corner. According to the Michael Jackson Fan Club Web site, street magician David Blaine has been listed as a possible, but unconfirmed, witness in the current trial.

As for the job market for “personal magicians,” Thomas says, “While some magicians bill themselves as the ‘favorite magician’ of various celebrities, I don’t know of any that claim to be the ‘personal magician’ for any individual. There are a few ‘corporate magicians’ who work exclusively for one client, but such jobs are scarce. Most full-time magicians work a variety of venues – private parties, cruise ships, restaurants, nightclubs and bars, school shows, Renaissance Fairs… whatever jobs they can find.”

This is enigmatic.

Wasn't Randy the brother who was upset with the helicopters flying over the funeral? And Randy was upset at the courthouse on 5 April because the courtroom seating for the family was not to his liking? And he is upset today and tweeting again......interesting. Things have been stressful for the Jackson Family.

I too, miss so many of the original gang of bloggers from back in the summer. So many of us no longer post here on the LKL. I hope they still read occasionally. Hello to you if so! 🙂

I am out of the loop!! Don't know what the green version is/means! Another weird happening IMO was the foto (supposedly) of MJ in the ambulance on June 25th. That looked to me like MJ from the late 80's because his skin was still consistently dark and his hair was long and curly. That was when the plot was still thinner, however. The oddities are curious and fascinating and they just keepa comin.

There isnt anything shocking or troubling about those recordings, he just seems anxious and a bit on edge but that's most likely do to his god awful insomnia. Also we need to remember, not being able to sleep may cause irratability and slowed and slurred speech.

I think you're right the taped recordings does bring us back to the possibility of Michael being in fear of his life. But that would mean that he is in hiding and that he probably isn't coming back.

Why are the tapes being presented as newly discovered "news?" They were broadcast on national television via ABC last July and then the story just disappeared. Just like Jason's story, it surfaced, then disappeared, and then reappeared as if it were newly discovered "news." Perhaps Michael was originally coming back sooner, then changed his mind, but now the game plan is on again? Only The Man knows, I guess. Whenever you're ready, Michael! 🙂

In 2007, Mr. Michael Jackson sat through taped depositions where he stated he was addicted to pain medications during 2003, and I believe they available on youtube. Sadly those recordings you provided do sound like a sedated Mr. Jackson.

And so happy you reminded us that sleep deprivation ,is horrible,and can cause many things to cause one to sound or behvae differently.While going thru my second divorce ,I was very hurt ,betrayed,paranoid.......seriously sleep and nutrient deprived ,in short I felt 'coo-coo'.This lasted a few yrs,now when I imagine Michael performing ,writing singing,directing ,parenting ,running his life ,his many businesses ,having to watch his back,not knowing WHO he y'really' trust? Having to be 'on' 24-7 ,smiling when your heart's been broken ....smiling when you dont have the strength to even cry it out...now thats a huge problem.Yet through it ALL,Michael I feel ,enjoys LIFE! Sometimes when I imagine him holding his chidren,singing and playing ,rocking them to sleep ,chasing them around ,enjoying a homecooked meal with them relaxing with a good old movie or old cartoons ,or Star Wars Movies! I see Michaels Big Smile,because at the end of the day ,what really mattered? If I could wish Michael Peace ,a good nights sleep on the fattest ,marshmallowy pillow ,without a care in the world ......I will.Because we all now when we sleep the body rejuviates itself ,and heals ,heals us physically .......Emotionally as well.So yes my wish today for Michael ...would be to come here stay in the cottage in the woods,light a fire in the tiny coal stove ,listen to the birds,chipmunks squirrels running so fast up and down the trees,sit under a tree or on the little deck ,and put your feet up,come see the chickens pecking away ,and the roooster will wake you dear ,Michael ,from a nice 'sound sleep',oh and yes I will bring you a cake and leave it at your door! LOL....

As for Michael Lynch of American Idol singing Will You Be There, I saw it live last night.....NO ONE should attempt to do Will You Be There. Especially not an American Idol contestant. I didn't like the way Jennifer Hudson sounded at Michael's memorial when she did it. Her voice was TO big for that song. There are a handful of artist and songs that other artist shouldn't even attempt to take on and Michael Jackson is at the top of the list. Picture someone else trying to sing Thrille, Beat It or Billie Jean......NOT!
