Is there anyone out there besides Larry King, who cares much about what Michael Moore has to say?
Please, this guys makes movies, that's it. Beyond that subject, does anyone really care what he thinks?
Why is he on Larry King Live so often?

Penny Matney   April 26th, 2010 10:30 pm ET

If this is a equal opertunity country how come people comming
from europe and other places besides mexico have to come
here LEAGALY????

Love your show

Cathy   April 26th, 2010 10:54 pm ET

Why Michael Moore? Why not someone with some fair balance or someone who knows something about finances that can give you some serious insight such as Milken. I'll gladly find something else to watch tomorrow.

Edward Merchan   April 27th, 2010 12:46 am ET

Michael Moore is a product of "The Jesuit Schools" honest and sincere who does not shoot from his mouth but his soul, always blowing the dust that hides the AMERICAN GREED.

When he talks, I listen !

Sandra   April 27th, 2010 12:57 am ET

To the gentleman yelling at Sherrif Joe, have you looked at our government employment percentages? In case you have not, the white, or caucasion is in the minority as far as the races employed by the Federal Govt. the hispanics and the african american are the most prevelant races employed by the US in Federal Service.
Get real, open your eyes and stop playing the race card. You obviously have an agenda for the future hispanic voters.

debbie   April 27th, 2010 1:13 am ET

Iam a citizen of mesa, az. I praise sherriff joe, as do most of arizona, hence the reason he continues to be voted as our sheriff. We are U.S. CITIZENS. We have rights too. If you live here legally and abide by the laws you will have nothing to worry about. If you dont like our laws go home and change your own country NOT OURS!!

sherry regimbel   April 27th, 2010 1:22 am ET

I'm now living in Vancouver, B.C.Canada – are we not allowed to enter this contest????? See only State names and no place to put in a Canadian address????????

Larry King, it is hard to believe your interview with the horrific Bush jr. is currently in the top spot. I would agree if it included the journalist that threw both his shoes at that alleged war criminal.

I believe Larry King that you would receive yet another journalist achievement award if you were able to interview Manual Noreiga and ask him on the record what he knew about Bush Sr's involvement with Cocaine trafficking in South America as part of Iran Contra arms for drugs fiasco.

Smith in Oregon   April 27th, 2010 1:37 am ET

@ debbie, If Sheriff Joe had operated in any Democratic State in America in the manner he does in Arizona, a good many of those State's citizens would take Sheriff Joe behind the woodshed and that bigoted wind bag would be lucky to ever work in public service again.

Smith in Oregon   April 27th, 2010 1:57 am ET

A growing challenge to American Democracy came to light during the 'too big to fail' mega corporations which nearly dragged the American economy into the abyss of non-recovery along with the homes and life savings of Millions of American citizens.

Two weeks ago, as the US Justice department began to finish up its large and ongoing criminal investigation of the Big Pharma giant Pfizer which they allegedly found several serious criminal violations had occurred BUT then determined if Pfizer were charged and sentenced that huge Big Pharma giant would be entirely out of business!!!

Add Big Pharma to the too big to charge with crimes, and too big to fail also.

There appears to be ample evidence the Goldman Sachs cherry picked some very likely to fail investments and packaged those into huge investment instruments which their team then gave the AAA investing rating to and sold those to eager overseas clients looking for a safe return on their investment.

Goldman Sachs appears to have deliberately made those investments much weaker and much more prone to fail. Then placed SHORT calls on those same investments which pays them if that investment fails.

Placing SHORT calls on investments is common practice for Hedge Funds or minimizing losses thru 'Hedging the bets or Funds against a loss'. HOWEVER it appears to be entirely ILLEGAL and totally UNETHICAL for a investment firm to purposefully bundle a investment sold to one of their unsuspecting clients as a AAA safe return and then that same investment firm places a SHORT call on that AAA safe investment to fail, knowing full well it WOULD FAIL.

This is far worse than a crooked Casino whose license is then permanently taken and the Casino owners and management are sent to Federal Prison for a very long time. AND appears Goldman Sachs is not only to big to fail but also too big to be charged with FEDERAL CRIMES??

This too big to fail Republican protected mega corporations SMELL like a very well used country Barn and that SMELL in my opinion greatly challenges American Democracy.

Re: Immigration in AZ
Do you really think the police in AZ have the manpower/time/money to stop and question all the people in AZ who look Hispanic? This is a border state! Half of the population is Hispanic! Legal, hard-working American citizens who are Mexican American and great human beings. These people are not the problem. The new laws are made to detain suspicious people, like the thousands of drug mules that cross into AZ every month with drugs. Criminals. That is what this is about. The illegals that are crossing our borders, shooting and murdering our legal citizens, bringing in drugs and violence, and the federal government isn't doing a thing to help our state. When there is a crime committed in AZ by an illegal immigrant, who pays for it? AZ.
The police have every right to question a suspicious person. If you think this is racist, watch Border Patrol or Shadow Wolves then judge AZ.

Is it "reasonable" to question a Latino about his legal status and overlook the illegal Hatian, Asian, Indian, etc.. I'm sure there are many different races that are illegal immigrants in our country. Why question one without doing the same for all the others? Will African-American people be next if Haitian Immigration gets out of hand? We also share a border with Canada, does this mean you will be confronting people that look Caucasian? The language in this bill is suspicious and not reasonable.

When Ronald Reagan enacted a sweeping immunity of illegal Hispanic immigrants, there was no out roar from the Republican Party and there was no pseudo grass roots Racist Tea Party uprising, WHY?

Because the Republican Party's primary donors running mega Corporations still had their factories in America and desperately needed plentiful cheap labor to make their products.

Now the Republican Party is loudly protesting against a sweeping immunity of illegal Hispanic immigrants, WHY?

Because the Republican Party's major donors running mega Corporations have moved their factories overseas and cheap labor here in America directly competes for goods and services produced here in America vs those Corporations goods produced in Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, Japan, Philippines, Costa Rica and South Korea.

Its time for Hispanics to fully realize the Republican Party is certainly not their friend and have only used them in the past for Union Busting and Cheap Labor ONLY when it best suited the Republican Party's primary donors.

Smith in Oregon   April 27th, 2010 4:00 pm ET

Is the Republican Tea Party heavily influenced and composed of Racist White Supremacists?

A series of polls and studies appears to indicate YES THEY ARE!!!

Tea Party speakers and rallies have depicted President Barack Obama as a African witch doctor, denounced his supposed plans as "white slavery," and likened Congress to a slave owner and the taxpayer to a "n--r."

That seemed very racist and directly from the White Supremacists pamphlets they routinely hand out with their hate speeches. My thoughts at that time was YES the Republican Tea Party was largely a racist organization further fanning the flames spewed from White Supremacist organizations.

A new survey by the University of Washington Institute for the Study of Ethnicity, Race & Sexuality offers further insights into the racial attitudes of Republican Tea Party members. "The data suggests that people who are Tea Party supporters have a much higher probability"—25 percent, to be exact—"of being racially resentful compared to non-Republican Tea Party members.

Surveyors asked respondents in California and a half dozen battleground states (like Michigan and Ohio) a series of questions that political scientists typically use to measure racial hostility. On each one, Tea Party backers expressed more resentment than the rest of the population, even when controlling for partisanship and ideology.

These results are echoed and backed up by a recent New York Times/CBS News survey finding that white Tea Party supporters were more likely to believe that "the Obama administration favors blacks over whites" and that "too much has been made of the problems facing black people." The survey also showed that Republican Tea Party members are whiter, older, and wealthier than average Americans.

Is the Republican Tea Party heavily influenced and composed of Racist White Supremacists? YES THEY ARE!!!

The Challenge of Society

I hereby challenge the world to make a world-wide global decision; allowing every person, no matter what station in live or what country they live in, to have a voice. I challenge the world media to distribute all of the information about this to the entire world very quickly using all of the social abilities on the internet, presenting all of the facts and every side of the argument equally. I challenge the powers-that-be to complete this vote in 4 months, 9/01/2010, which is easily accomplished with today's technology.

The first question is of course do we want to change anything. If the majority vote no, then there would be no reason to continue. Nothing would have changed and everyone can go back to their everyday lives. However, it would guarantee that all citizens of this world would have access to the global conversation on the internet. Also, we would have decided something together as a species for the first time in history.

However, there is the chance that the majority might say yes to the first question. There is no reason the following questions would have to be scary. They could be very simple basic human rights. Nothing complicated such as trying to enforce a specific government or social system on any unwilling group of people. There could however be simple questions that every citizen should have the right to answer for themselves. Weather or not a government has the fundamental right to execute a person, regardless of the reason? Do all of the citizens of this world have the right to freedom of speech? Nothing chaotic or crazy, just some questions that the populace needs to answer, not any small group of politicians.

The answers given by the populace would of course have to be overseen by the UN. I realize this could be a very scary, but the majority might vote to leave everything just as it is in the very first question and nothing would happen. However, if the vote is for change, would it not be encouraging to know that it was a decision that we all made and had a voice in?

Smith in Oregon   April 27th, 2010 6:47 pm ET

Larry King, it is not serving the informational needs of the CNN audience when CNN's Wolf Blitzer continues to portray that all you need to clean up the enormous Oil Spill that is ongoing in the once beautiful Mexican Gulf region is to capture and contain the Crude Oil on the surface of the Ocean!

PLEASE CNN Staffers do the homework, much of the spilled Crude Oil almost immediately turns into Tar Balls which SINK to the Ocean Floor and at the depth of 5,000 Feet a huge amount of that Crude Oil Spill is not going to EVER be cleaned up, nor humanly removed.

The Crude Oil spill now stretches well over 3,000 Miles on the surface, and beneath the surface how far does it extend?

This SPILL BABY SPILL is going to produce an enormous dead zone in the once beautiful Mexican Gulf region where no fish, no birds, no mammals are found nor survive after being flooded and bathed in toxic Crude Oil.

Again, PLEASE WOLF BLITZER do not allege to the CNN Viewers that simply containing and removing the 3,000 and growing surface Crude Oil Spill translates in any fashion the bulk of that spilled Crude Oil has been removed, the bulk is BENEATH the SURFACE in very deep water which makes it practically IMPOSSIBLE TO CLEAN-UP.

I hope BP has deep pockets in their Insurance Policy and I sincerely hope all Gulf State Fisherman and Environmental Protection Agency's sue the hell out of BP over this massive Crude Oil spill and its resulting ecological disaster spreading many thousands of miles.

Thank you for being Michael's friend and please continue to report any news on him, such as the Las Vegas Cirque Du Soleil Michael Jackson in 2011. Thank you, Larry – You're the best! Also, there's a MJ FanVention in Merrillville, IN, in August.

This disallowed me to enter the contest. canadians are almost americans and this seem unfail to me. CNN sshould do something about this unjustice. Thank you. Jim

Larry King! You are 'king of the mountain'. You are always gracious with your interviews and have had many excellent shows which continue to bring us back. Thank You!

Smith in Oregon   April 28th, 2010 3:18 am ET

As the once beautiful Mexican Gulf region is now fouled by one of the most significant Crude Oil Spills in American history, the foul BP spin-misters are now promoting the dumb and dumber solution of 'Burning the Crude Oil Slick' as their 'solution'.

The Crude Oil pouring out of that ruptured deep water well head some 5,000 feet beneath the once beautiful Mexican Gulf region is HEAVY CRUDE meaning a great deal of the total spewing out of that deep Ocean ruptured well head does not reach the surface, instead it almost immediately turns into tar balls and sinks towards the Ocean floor.

Burning the small percentage that reaches and stays on the surface is not even a placebo for the Oyster Beds which will be destroyed for decades, nor the Shrimping industry which will be destroyed for many years. There is very little if anything that can be done to actually remove all of that toxic tar from the depths of the Ocean and especially across the Ocean floor for thousands of miles.

BP's answer to burn the oil slick is entirely a farce to generate a photo moment which I sincerely hope viewers do not buy into as a realistic solution instead of the reality of a publicity stunt which won't stop many organizations from suing BP as much as possible.

Besides burning what remains on the surface would certainly release a great deal of toxic pollution, much of the Heavy Crude Oil spewing from the ruptured well head 5,000 feet beneath the Ocean's surface is beneath the Ocean's surface and untouchable by burning.

Folks, this problem is growing nearly exponentially as enormous Ocean pressure flows into that underground Oil field forcing the Oil out into the Ocean.

What BP (British Petroleum) is not telling the public is that it is going to take two months or more to move a deep ocean drilling rig (if one is even available which is entirely doubtful as they are booked nearly a full year in advance) and drill an alternative well head into that same deep Ocean Oil field to begin relieving the pressure spewing out from the other ruptured well head.

This Spill Baby Spill ruptured well head if left spewing for the next couple months will likely foul much of the entire Mexican Gulf region and all the boats, marine life, mammals and birds that travel thru that immense area.

There is simply no margin for any errors in a deep Ocean well head, the immense crushing Ocean pressure if allowed to flow into the drilled Oil field will push that Oil out until it's eventually gone or some deep sea robotics succeed in actually capping that well head.

This ecological disaster should remind Americans what the Republican party has been pushing down the throats of Americans for decades, forcing a very toxic reliance on fossil fuel to power our lives.

And as this horrific Spill Baby Spill ecological disaster unfolded What did the Republican Party do to turn attention away from America's need for Energy reform and Cap and Trade Legislation?

The Republican Party poured out their Arizona State Immigration bill to force The US House, Senate and President Obama to turn away from real Energy reform and Cap and Trade Legislation to focus instead on the growing need for Immigration reform and sweeping immunity for Hispanics that have migrated to America during the past 30 years.

TRUMP GOOD FRIENDS WITH LIBERACE AT THE TIME OF HIS DEATH. How did Liberace die? What percentage of his will did you receive? Are you still receiving monies from his foundations? Larry, we followed you when your career begain in many years ago now I can't recall the year...we were newlywed, I think at the time, having married in 1963, The two of us were Eastern Airline employees and met on a flight between N.Y.C. and Miami. Since then, we have watched you move up the ladder and for the most part, see the good you are attempting to produce by your interviews.
Being a "Cancer Victor" of a breast cancer battle WITHOUT chemo or radiation, I now have 18 years remission, the natural way. I wish you would do a program dedicated to those of us who beat cancer with natural ways....we are many, but unknown and unsung. I am about to write the story of how I did it. It will be called: "A Breast Cancer Story of Natural Healing: In the Belly of the Whale." I hope you will read my story and that it might lead you to think about doing such a show. I had a team of health care professionsals who led me down my path to healing; among them are Doctors Deepak Choprah and Bernie Siegal through their writings and tapes...along with my local doctors and nutritionist/biochemist and acupunturists. PLEASE CONSIDER.
Margaret Lee.

LOL, the Republican California registration branch paying 8 dollars a bounty recently ended up with thousands of Voter Fraud complaints, who would have thought it?

Apparently the Republican California registration strategy was to ask California residents across Orange County if they wanted to sign the Legalize Marijuana initiative which many did, BUT not so fast!

What they were fraudulently duped into signing was to become a member of the horrific Republican party!!

Apparently the Republican strategy pencil pushers figured that Pot Smokers wouldn't notice! Surprise, thousands of outraged hijacked voters did notice and filed FRAUD COMPLAINTS against those Republican registration members and fraudulent practices.

Lacking the moral character, it appears in my opinion that the Republican party in California couldn't even BUY people to join them, go figure!

Yes, I care very much what he has to say 🙂 Here it is people. Its real sad I've taken to pulling my funds from the banking institution. Meaning? Yes, I now have a fire box for my savings. Trust? NO, none for the banks on my end do I trust. I assure you ( I'M NOT the only one that has done just this). showing them we mean bluishness when it comes to protecting OUR savings. Interests is a must in my opinion.
who need's interest on a dollar? or rely's SO HEAVILY upon interest, that we must find it necessary to sit back and let our fund's WE WORK AND EARN with the sweat of OUR brow, be taken from us threw ILLEGAL nettings and so on, even thre there so called betting.
Paranoid? no, I'm not paranoid. But I was raised to be cautious in a state, that spends more time NOT listening to the people than resolving these issues. THIS is my opinion only and what My family and friends have done to protect our own financial future So call it as you may? When one has nothing to loose? Is when they have much , to gain.
It's time the people show these banks, politician, and our government as a whole. WE DEMAND justice on our borders be taken and to STOP ILLEGAL immigrants that have BROKE OUR LAWS from coming back into our state. Don't get me wrong, I do believe in being fair to those whom are not here on a illegal basis. We have to find a way to protect the ones here on a legal note that don't harm others. And STOP the ones that are here ILLEGALLY.
So here it is. Somethings got to give, the people are becomeing UN-trusting once more to the point of takeing drastic meaures. Who can blame anyone? I know I cant.
