I dislike the American Idol leader who is British(nothing against
the British), who is arrogant, who is sadistic and has "a heart of
iron." The show has transformed the American "dream" into
people who believe that they have to attain their goal by
treachery, deceit, malice, selfishness and intrigue. The show
has suplanted the importance of American standards and
superimposed its fad on naive and gullible American people
who believe that American Idol is more important than national
and international affairs. It is a disgusting suplantation of
reality into myth and fairy tales racking millions of dollars
of revenue for millions of viewers to watch trash that corrupts
the minds, body and soul of the American people whose inmune
system to literary works has diminished so low so weak that they
" mistake buffons for kings."

THE SAVE RUINED THE SHOW! The save cost the show it's integrity and fairness. Imagine the uproar if the 12th, 11th, and 10th contestant voted off were black, and then the 9th contestant voted off was white but they told the white contestant he or she could stay. You would hear blacks claiming racism all over the place and Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton would probably lead protest marches.
Also, Ryan's comments are unfair and stupid. Comments like a shocking result when Mike was voted off. Shocking says who? Then the stupid comment that Mike was trying to provide a better life for his baby. Well they are all striving for better lives, not just Mike. Also sick of seeing Simon and Kara playing with each other instead of paying attention. They should separate them.

Luis B. Rosario...welcome back...I see you had a restful vacation and are full of ....and vinegar. Simon Cowell, like many British personalities, is a bit crass, but he is not sadistic.

He tells it like it is, in his own way of course, but he is a true humanitarian giving millions of dollars to both individuals and charities in the U.S. and abroad.

He has driven home his opinions in harsh and often hard to swallow critiques, but those who got over how his message was delivered benefited greatly.

Please note. as I am certain you have, that it is the American public who votes off the contestants. I would, and have, directed my four fingers back at self when pointing one at any discourse I have had toward the show. Life is too short to deny yourself a little entertainment once in a while.

Too many people just don't desire to channel their free time to a Shakespeare work or any literary work for that matter. Luis, just how hot is it getting in your neck of the woods?

Most kings have been know to be buffoons and some more like baboons, haven't they? Luis, so glad to see to up and running with the wind, sometimes its best to have it at your back, rather than in your face...Your the best Luis, take care...

Luis B Rosario   April 19th, 2010 5:08 pm ET

@Cajazz
With all due respect defering to your apparent liking of
Simon Cowell, he is a big piece of *crass* who enjoys
humiliating people in public to the point of denigrating
their morale, their ego and their self-esteem. Him and
Allen DeGeneres and all those clowns know less than
me about music and singing. At least I can write lyrics
and music for a song and occasionally a poem, or two.
People like Simon who engage in hazing, taunting
and demeaning other human beings are the ones
responsible for the death of the school girl who
committed suicide. Perhaps to some that was poking
fun without intent. To me that was homicide. Anyway
my friend "if I had a hammer and Simon was close
by and I may charge with assault. "Buffon or king."
It would not matter. He is that despicable to me. And
the fact that viewers and not Simon are responsible
for the contestant's demise is kind of like Dodie will pput
it "sheepish."( An alibi of poor taste).

@Cajazz
With all due respect defering to you apparent liking of Simon
Cowell, he is just a big piece of *crass* who enjoys humiliating
people in public to the point of denigrating their morale, their
ego and their self-esteem. If youknow about decency and decorum
(which as a responsible parent-I'm certain you do), then you should know what I'm talking about. I believe that Simon Cowell, Ellen De Generes and all the clowns who work for him know less about music and lyrics than me . I can write my own music and lyrics and I can
write a poem or two .( I know something about music and talent.)
Peopl,e like Simon who engage in hazing, taunting, harassment
and otherwise importune, or demean another with no legitimate
purpose are the ones responsible for the death of that school
girl that committed suicide.( I call it a homicide). Perhaps to you
and the general public that call to substantiate Simon's work,
you call this an interesting form (sort) of entertenmaint. I see
it differently I call it the sculpture of the aristocrat acting as the
plebe but reaping the benefits of the aristocrats from the poor,
the naive, the gullible and the ignorant. Most viewers of these
type of programs are the xerox copy of the fans of the old
Roman amphitheater where the lions ate the slaves for meal
while people clapped their hands. (Sort of having fun as the
expense of others). It was not the king and the queen held
responsible for the carnage because the audience demanded it.
( to use your own analogy).
Speaking about buffons and kings, you say that Simon is
a great person because he donates millions to unknow causes.
So did Robin Hood who used to steal from the rich to give it to
the poor. He could care less it was not his money. He would take
a large percentage from the proceeds of the spoils and give away
the rest. Quite a lucrative business to keep glue to the TV every
week to watch the" American Idol" show. Like I said before, to me
Simon and Crew are just a bunch of despicable people who
like a lethal virus evolved from smaller fad to a bigger strain.
your analogy).
Congratulations on your daughter's graduation in Arkansas.
Keep in touch friend. We may differ but we must maintain our
civility. You know that I like Cajazz. (that is a fact).

Again welcome back, you flair for commentary is always appreciated by many who read them. I certainly include myself in that group.

I don't think I used the word 'great' when referring to Simon Cowell, but I definitely stated he was a humanitarian or philanthropist, if you please. I know his demeanor offends many, but I just look at it as part of the show and to me it appears harmless.

Thanks on the congrats for my daughter, she is now an editor for Faridah Publishing, in Amman, Jordan, following a short teaching career. She taught me everything I know about trying to write in these blogs.

Take care Luis and try not to get overly philosophical and hardened over the humorous antics on the show...that's how hernias, hangnails, hemorrhoids and heart attacks can occur...I think..Stay healthy, Luis..

Fatmir Sadiku   April 19th, 2010 9:21 pm ET

Hi, Larry!
I have question for Kara; Is she related to Jaseph Dioguardi?

Thank you!

Cajazz76:24:8   April 19th, 2010 9:40 pm ET

Fatmir Sadiku

They are father and daughter....

Candy   April 19th, 2010 11:35 pm ET

I think the American Idol show is fixed, especially after last year's winner. I have lost all respect for the show. I thought it was supposed to be the most "talented wins" I guess that only applies to those who are not gay, or a minority! Too bad!

Luis B Rosario   April 19th, 2010 11:48 pm ET

@Cajazz
We are getting there brother! I haven't heard from Dodie and
Navajo Joe lately(although I was on the disable list myself-lol-
on a short vacation with the family). Your daughter is probably
better prepared than Simon Cowell but because wants to
keeep them honest she probably will never enjoy the fruits of
entertainment at the American Idol show. God bless her
and you because you are responsible for bringing her to this
world along with her mother. She taught you some for the blogs
but you taught her for the world. Congratulations.
It appears that Candy (above) is also fed up with Simon's
antics.

Navajo Joe has been on the west coast, working his ranch, and on Lake Powell over the past month or so. He just came back from CA last week or maybe a week before that. Now which one is Dodie? Is he the guy that likes to rattle my cage? Maybe I SCARED him out of here. Then again he may be right around the corner. Take care Luis...you see that Dodie chap tell him I have a few words for him...anytime he wants to hear them...

Luis B Rosario   April 20th, 2010 12:31 am ET

@Cajazz
As far as I know the Dodie I know is a female(mujer).
She is a great person and very articulated. I don't know if we
are talking about the same person. Say hello to Navajo Joe
and tell him to check the" horse's tooth to know its age, " while
he is at the ranch. A horse tha "t pisses forward may kick you
from the rear."

'TRUIMPH' FROM USA   April 20th, 2010 11:25 am ET

TO BE HONEST WITH YOU ALL I DON'T WATCH MUCH OF AMERICAN IDOL. BUT I DID HEAR THE CONTESTANTS ON THAT SHOW SANG AND PERFORMED SOME MICHAEL JACKSON SONGS. IF THAT EPISODE WERE TO BE REPLAYED I WOULD BE SURE TO TUNE IN. I DIDN'T GET TO SEE IT THE FIRST TIME AROUND. REMEMBER IT TAKES ALOT OF HEART AND COURAGE TO TRY TO SEIZE THE MOMENT WHEN OPPORTUNITY ARISES AND EVEN MORE TO TRY AGAIN IF YOU FAIL THE FIRST TIME~ MICHAEL JACKSON. HAVE A GOOD DAY EVERYONE. TRUIMPH

Cheers   April 20th, 2010 6:55 pm ET

@Candy,
How long have you watched American Idol? More than one gay or minority has done quite well. The judges have their opinions of who the better contestants are, of course, but as for the votes, it is not fixed.

Jessie from Auckland, NZ   April 20th, 2010 8:53 pm ET

Does American Idol need a shake up?.........I wonder.
