Simon Cowell should crawl back beneath the English rock he slithered out from. He's lucky the audience doesn't have heads of lettuce to throw at him during his ego maniacal rants towards some hapless contestant.

And my comment would be to ask the question what cred does Ellen Degeneres have to be an idol judge? Ridiculous. I like Ellen very much. She has a wonderful talent but it isn't music. What were they thinking when the suits recruited her for idol? And Simon leaving is a big shame. I liked the chemistry of Simon Randy and Paula and to me without those three (sans the Annoying Cara) idol has reached its peter principle.

I can't wait to see them. I think Kara is the best part of American Idol.

simon knows exactly what he's talking about and just gets crap for it because he gives harsh criticism.
idol isn't just about "music". it's about performing and when you perform, you are entertaining. ellen knows how to get up in front of large groups of people and entertain. so that's where her credit comes from.,
and that "annoying Kara" has probably written half the songs you listen to.

Saw Aretha Franklin on Entertainment Tonight just the other day, saying that she would love to get a call to be a judge on American Idol. How about it? Would like to see her on there. She could probably take Simon's place.

Good on the Idol Judges for trying to give something back.

The roman emperors had the circus for the folk so they would forget that they are hungry!
We have the DWTS where a lot of untalented so called "stars" hopp around with professional dancers, who do everything to make them look good.
Kate Gosselin must have swallowed a broom before she got on stage and had some problems with her feet. Are they made of wood?

Simon Cowell is the best judge on the program. Some don't care for his style but of the four, I certainly would take his direction if I were a contestant.

heard there might be a chance paula abdul will come back for an episode to possibly be a mentor, that would be awesome!!

I'm a big fan of simon. I understand that he likes to critic everything into perfection, how ever there are some rare occasions when he may go a little over the top. But all in all, i believe simon calls it like it is...and randy has a good ear to....

Please stop cracking me up. LMHO.

@ Ted & Jessie from Auckland,

After assuming the position one must in order to birth and conceive children... It is no wonder why Kate is unable to dance!

She needs to find a regular job!

I agree with you on Denegeris. She often repeated the same thing like I love, love your clothes, personality. but not much about the singing except I love your voice. Most times she takes the cue from Randy.
