Larry King, what's up with Anne Coulter threatening to sue Canada for turning her away from her prepared speeches there in Canada after anti-Anne Coulter protesters loudly complained against her appearance of spewing out Hate Speeches?

Is her lawsuit filed and going thru? Does Canada have different laws on spewing out sedition speeches than here in the United States where YES there are ancient laws on the books but they are very rarely cited and used against a suspect UNLESS a follower or member in the crowd goes out and commits a treasonous act.

Does Anne Coulter actually want people to go out and commit acts of treason Larry King, that is 'the' question.

OR Is Anne Coulter simply another circus performer like Glenn Beck as a 'entertainer' without substance, relevance nor validity.

Theresa   April 15th, 2010 7:39 pm ET

I as a Canadian NEVER want that female creature known as Ann Coulter to put even 1 toe on my country's soil. I think she can spew all the hate she wants on her homeland ...not mine. By the way...what's her problem ..I thought she believed in freedom of speech...that's exactly what the students @ the University of Ottawa were doing. I wonder what she would think of a Canadian coming to the US & stating one of the states would become our 11th province...I'm sure she'd have a mouthful to expel. All of your main Tea Party celebs & Republican celebs certainly have LARGE EGOS....please keep them all home.

dolores   April 15th, 2010 7:46 pm ET

I hope Mr/Mrs king stay together for the children..sometimes love flys out the window..but it does return..we need to wait it out..marriage is a commitment,,& he's not young..feel badly for them ...

Chris   April 15th, 2010 8:11 pm ET

I cannot believe someone continues to post that CNN panders to the right. As John McEnroe always said, "You CANNOT be serious." Whatever are you talking about? If LKL has someone on the program other than a liberal, that does not constitute pandering to the right. And we wonder why the country is in such pitiful shape.

Smith in Oregon   April 15th, 2010 8:26 pm ET

@ Chris after 8 long years of creating two foreign wars, gutting critical domestic programs, creating the huge Trillion dollar taxpayer abyss known as the Dept. of Homeland Security, illegal tapping of all domestic calls, email, cell texts, while 8 million American's lost their homes, jobs, 1/2 of their 401K funds and State after State teetering on the very brink of Bankruptcy, MANY AMERICANs know full well how America got to be in the economic ditch and in the toilet bowl of the world's opinion and approval.

I am however unsure beyond simply media ratings on how a speaker known for her toxic mix of hoping President Obama fails and rogue States creating Militias to possibly commit treasonous activity's has public value in airing. For the vast audience it is at best good for a laugh and some popcorn.

Hillary Contoocook, NH   April 15th, 2010 8:46 pm ET

If the Tea Party, Republican Party, Demoratic Party were anything like the quote below I would Follow any one of them.

But sadly none of these people are really in charge.

I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around [the banks] will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs.
Thomas Jefferson, (Attributed)

Chris   April 15th, 2010 9:03 pm ET

@Smith in Oregon,
You are certainly entitled to your opinions, but my point was and is why would anyone suggest that LKL and CNN are pandering to the right? Very strange.

Wayne   April 15th, 2010 9:06 pm ET

Ms. Coulter all due respect, it was actually about 7 years ago that a President began running up the deficit. Unpaid for medicare reform, 2 wars (one based on total lies) again unpaid for. Iraq came at a cost much more valuable than the deficit, over 5000 American lives, again based on the lie of WMD. Where were these people then? It just doesn't make sense that Mr. Bush and Mr. Cheney sent our soldiers in harm's way trying to push our values and spend our money in a foriegn country while there are people in our own country suffering and neglected from hurricanes Katrina and Rita.

Smith in Oregon   April 15th, 2010 9:06 pm ET

Ann Coulter on the Liberal Assault on America??

What Koolaid have you been drinking? Illegal tapping on all domestic phone conversations, illegal search warrants, illegal recordings of private text messages, cell calls, emails ALL came from the hyper-conservative Right and horrific Republican led administration of Bush-Cheney.

Liberals want to wind down both foreign Wars, does that somehow sound like an assault on America?

The hyper-conservative Right and horrific Republican led administration of Bush-Cheney ASSAULTED Americans leaving 8 Million American's without a home, without a job and missing 1/2 of their 401K funds! That is assault, Ann Coulter.

aaron in MA   April 15th, 2010 9:06 pm ET

Taxes, taxes, taxes – how about Welfare – we should be angry that lazy people get free food, shelter, daycare, cars, cell phones – what ever happened to "if you don;t work, you don't eat"? How about getting the illegal immigrants out of the country and making the lazy welfare recipients do the work.

michael armstrong sr.   April 15th, 2010 9:06 pm ET

Ann would make a great secretary of state.

michael armstrong sr.   April 15th, 2010 9:08 pm ET

This lady tells the cow how he ate the cabbage you go Ann .

michael armstrong sr.   April 15th, 2010 9:10 pm ET

@A.Smith I think CNN is confused .

Patricia   April 15th, 2010 9:10 pm ET

Hello All,
The tea party do bring up many issues that do need attention but...where were they when George W. was in office??? Most of the current difficulties were residual from when he was in charge, weren't they???

Anita   April 15th, 2010 9:14 pm ET

My husband just drove past a Tea Party rally in Denver. He thought the racist signage was disgusting. Halloween masks and beheaded caricatures of our President. As loyal Americans we are offended by these radicals. They are clearly people with time on their hands. Those who choose to incite them are playing with fire. Remember what happened in Oklahoma City.

Jane - WI   April 15th, 2010 9:14 pm ET

Perhaps there are so few minorities at these tea party rallies because maybe they are part of the 47% who don't pay any federal income tax. If you don't pay income taxes, why would you rally against income taxes? It's in your interest to continue having only a certain group pay them.

aaron in MA   April 15th, 2010 9:15 pm ET

Why don't the politicians take pay cuts? Teachers, Fireman, and Police Officers hold public positions and they can't be doing it for the money. They must do it because they want to SERVE the people. So why do we SERVE the politicians with huge salaries? If you really want government to work, give the politicians a public service salary. Then we will have a better chance of getting a government that wants to serve the people.

Jane - WI   April 15th, 2010 9:17 pm ET

People ask where the tea partiers were when George Bush was President? I am wondering where all these people were who complain about the incivility in tone were when it was liberals who were carrying signs of George Bush as Hitler, burning him in effigy, rioting at anti-war rallies, etc. It seems the only time the media is concerned about incivility is when we have a Democrat in the White House. I don't recall the media running story after story about liberals and their tone when George Bush was President. double standard?

Robert   April 15th, 2010 9:18 pm ET

Who is this mental midget Michelle Bachman? There was no deficit in the Bush Era? Is she for real or dillusional? America now "owns" some free enterprise businesses to control them and not allow them to do what republican deregualtion allowed them to get away with.

Wake up, or shut up!

bettyporter49@gmail.com   April 15th, 2010 9:19 pm ET

What exactly do the tea party think they actually are going to accomplish? Does that have anything to do with getting us jobs back? I do not think they even care that we dont have jobs!!!!

Jane - WI   April 15th, 2010 9:19 pm ET

Patricia,
Democrats have controlled Congress since January of 2007. Congress makes the laws and spends the money. If you want to complain about the previous administration leaving a mess, you need to also look at your friends in the Democratic Party who controlled the spending for the past 3 years.

Chris   April 15th, 2010 9:20 pm ET

Why is the woman saying there were all these tax cuts under Obama. THere have been tax credits; those are a one-time deduction nothing similar to a tax reduction.

@Jane,
Yes, a double standard. Anyone not involved in the name-calling would surely recognize that.

Jon - Michigan   April 15th, 2010 9:21 pm ET

I truly hope Michelle Bachman comes back on to spread some more lies and mis-truths!

The closure of dealerships was 1) a result of two auto companies going into bankruptcy – not a result of the government. 2) something that GM had been trying to do for 10 years! 3) the number was not 3400 and the time frame was not 30 days – as a matter of fact GM gave the dealers that they were closing until the time that their franchise agreements ran out.

When Saturn is gone, what cars will a Saturn dealer sell? Think about it!
Having worked at a Pontiac dealer that was a stand alone Pontiac dealer, I understand that when Pontiac is eliminated as a brand that means a stand alone Pontiac dealer will not have a product to sell!

I love how right wing politicians either lie with reckless abandon or in the case of Michelle Bachman are just too ignorant to understand what they are talking about!

Jane - WI   April 15th, 2010 9:22 pm ET

I have seen no evidence of anyone spitting on these black Congressmen who chose to walk through the protesters for some strange reason. The footage I've seen shows one man with cupped hands shouting at a Congressman. Is that supposed to be the "spitting" incident? It is one thing to specifically spit on someone, and another to be shouting and spit flies out of your mouth as consequence of the shouting. Lots of cameras that day.....no video.

Chaney. La.   April 15th, 2010 9:23 pm ET

Sorry but Anne is not my cuppa tea, when the Canadians cried foul, seems like Anne decided to play the joker card..... she is an exaggerator, and is making a huge amount of money off her vitriole, and thats okay, but she will not be getting any of my dough, or my TV time.

bettyporter49@gmail.com   April 15th, 2010 9:23 pm ET

Is it that you do not see the problem in health care or that you just dont care? I am thinking it is one of the two.(I would like to ask!!)

Dennis Ulrich   April 15th, 2010 9:23 pm ET

Educate the tea party movement. A great many of them are on Social security and Medicare but are against big government spending. What do they think these programs are. I agree there is waste in government and if want to reduce government spending let's start with ending the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. We should then build a moat around Washington DC to keep out all lobbyists and let the government really be ruled and governed for and by the people and not special interest groups. We as average Americans cannot compete with the lobbyists as even our votes are swayed by corporate interests and lobbyists. Let us face the real issue and not rally around a "catch phase", personality or party. Let's govern for the people.

Jane - WI   April 15th, 2010 9:24 pm ET

It's interesting to read some of the comments on this blog about Ann Coulter from the "tolerant left". It seems they are only tolerant if Larry King has wacko lefties on his show such as Bill Mahrer.

Ana   April 15th, 2010 9:24 pm ET

The tea party represents what wrong in the US. The whole world is laughing at us that some old uneducated folks protest about things that they have no clue about. Palin and Republican party just take advantage of those people. They say they protest about taxes bla, bla, bla... but what they really protest about is the black president that govern this country (thanks God for him). They are bunch of racists and xenophobes that hate everybody who is not white and was not born here. They hate immigrants and have no clue what they are talking about. They talk about socialism, communism and fascism but they have no clue what those words really mean. If the hate socialism so much, why don't we take away their Social security benefits, medicare, madicaid, forbid them from using public roads and hospitals when they are sick and dying. Let them manage themselves and we will see how well they will do.

Chris   April 15th, 2010 9:25 pm ET

@Jane,
You are correct. It was Congress under the last administration who has more responsibility than anyone for the financial disaster from which we are recovering. It was they who insisted everyone and his brother was entitled to a mortgage whether or not they had any credit or any income. I guess one could say it was a matter of "don't ask; don't tell;" just give them the mortgage.

Alex-MI   April 15th, 2010 9:25 pm ET

Who is this host, and could he be any more biased? Holy cow

Jane - WI   April 15th, 2010 9:28 pm ET

What kind of poll answers would we have gotten had the media taken the time to ask questions of Code Pink members, MoveOn members, Daily Kos members and anti-war protesters about their feelings about George Bush? I am curious why we never saw that kind of poll when it was the left being incivil to President Bush? Why only a poll now that Barack Obama is in office?

bettyporter49@gmail.com   April 15th, 2010 9:28 pm ET

Ann Coulter you was so wrong to talk to that young girl like that.

sophia   April 15th, 2010 9:28 pm ET

okay enough.....I am not part of the tea party but I don't mind them assembling peacefully to protest against that is the American way. But enough with Aisha Taylor and her false facts. She is just an actress/comedian and shoud stick to what she knows and that is not politics or facts.

Jon - Michigan   April 15th, 2010 9:28 pm ET

@jane
so it's ok for "wacko" conservatives to make rude, racists, intolerant comments but when a liberal says something truthful about a wack job like Ann Culter it's a problem????

angela   April 15th, 2010 9:30 pm ET

This is blatent racism. When I saw a picture of a woman with a stuffed monkey around her neck with a sign go back to africa obama I felt sick to my stomach. This ignorance and nasty undertone is disgusting I thought we had finally got away from this idea.

aaron in MA   April 15th, 2010 9:30 pm ET

One of the most fascinating things about Sarah Palin is her glasses. They are way cooler than Randy Jackson's of American Idol, although his ARE featured at a lot of Wal-Marts.

michael armstrong sr.   April 15th, 2010 9:30 pm ET

I like you getting into politicks Ann you go for it girl .

sophia   April 15th, 2010 9:31 pm ET

whats with the name calling can't stand the facts so have to act like a child?

Jane - WI   April 15th, 2010 9:32 pm ET

Billl Mahrer and Michael Moore are not my cup of tea either. Yet, Larry King has them on time after time. Some of you posters don't like Ann Coulter, but forget that others have to put up with the likes of Al Gore, Michael Moore, and the nasty Bill Mahrer. It seems some on this blog only want to hear from those with their own political ideology, and unwilling to listen to the other side.

Carmella   April 15th, 2010 9:32 pm ET

The under current of violence is because our President is Black. The Tea Party is so angry that our President is black, plain and simply. They all have the philosphy that our country won't be right until the President of US is white.

You didn't hear a word from White America until we got a Black President.

The Tea Party is disguising their disgust. They say it's about taxes but it's really not, they just want a White President. That's why they are so negative and so violent. They can't stand it.

Tom from Vermilion, Ohio   April 15th, 2010 9:33 pm ET

How does Ann explain all this "vitiol" that's coming from the GOP and The Tea Party? Or, could it be, that she believes it simply doesn't exist. Why do the conservatives want to "purge" those moderate Republican who are not "pure" enough as well as those "radical?" Democrat liberals?

Michael   April 15th, 2010 9:33 pm ET

If I could ask Coulter one thing it'd be this: Why are you so focused on dividing people: republican vs. democrat? Shouldn't we focus on bridging the gap between our political differences, not expanding them?

Dr. Belinda Noah   April 15th, 2010 9:33 pm ET

As a candidate for the U. S. Senate and an African American, I can tell you that the Tea Party movement is not racist. Also, how can anyone say with a straight face that 47% of Americans do not pay taxes. They must not realize that social security and medicare are also taxes. Moreover, I am dismayed at the lack of outrrage by African American "leaders" due to the high level of unemployment and economic upheaval in the African American community. The African American community should take a page from the Tea Party movement and join them in protesting the government policies that are undermining the American people.

Dr. Belinda Noah, Attorney
Candidate for U. S. Senate

Chris Young   April 15th, 2010 9:34 pm ET

I'm so glad to see American once again getting really active and involved in the US government issues. I feel that the best changes in this country happen with the biggest, peaceful demonstrations. I'm tired of seeing eveyone just say what-ever! GO AMERICA....GO TEA PARTY.....this is what we are all about! Stand up America for what you believe in even if you are standing alone!

bettyporter49@gmail.com   April 15th, 2010 9:34 pm ET

Do you think we are stupid? The country was in trouble and bad trouble before President Obama became President. Do you think we dont know that?

LB   April 15th, 2010 9:34 pm ET

How can Estefan be non partisan if she is holdling a fund raiser for Dems?

Maria Cross   April 15th, 2010 9:35 pm ET

There were attacts against President Bush including a plane flying into the White House on Sept 13, 1994. I think any threat or threatening speech against an American President is treason, Democrat or Republican

Charles   April 15th, 2010 9:35 pm ET

Yes, Gloria, what an honor it is to be used to help garner votes from your camp.

Rich   April 15th, 2010 9:35 pm ET

Additionally, Ann's rational is on facts and figures which is the way comments should be made. Alot of people use "he said/she said" type of responses.

Why is it that black americans can use the word "N" and get by with it without a backlash, but if a white person said what your guest host said then there would be living hell. Double standards? I think so.

LB   April 15th, 2010 9:36 pm ET

@michael armstrong sr., "I hope not to see this host on Larry King again ."

Usually Tavis is pretty fair, but tonight he is definitely taking sides with the black guest against Coulter..

Jon - Michigan   April 15th, 2010 9:37 pm ET

@carmella
You have a great point about "disguising their disgust" considering that the whole tea party movement began before any legislation was signed by Obama, condsidering they claim they are against tax increases...What tax increase???? From the people you see at these rallies, my guess is that most of these people do not pay Federal taxes.

Paul Begala said it very well on AC 360 last night – most of the people at these rallies should be holding up signs supporting the government because they don't pay taxes!

michael armstrong sr.   April 15th, 2010 9:38 pm ET

@ LB and that is not a good thing we need to unite not devide .

Charles   April 15th, 2010 9:38 pm ET

@Jon-Michigan,
You are so wrong that most in the tea party do not pay taxes. I would say more but it would be just too obvious.

Betty   April 15th, 2010 9:39 pm ET

I think we got a truly great President now.

rc   April 15th, 2010 9:39 pm ET

Why has Sarah Palin had a Tea Party in her home town of Alaska or has she. You know.....the state she quit working for.

LB   April 15th, 2010 9:40 pm ET

@michael armstrong sr., "LB and that is not a good thing we need to unite not devide ."

I thought BO was supposed to be the uniter. I have never seen this country so divided. I hate to say it, but I think there will be violence before long.

Charles   April 15th, 2010 9:40 pm ET

@Jon – Michigan,
Guess I am confused as I thought it was the people paying no taxes who were holding up the signs in support of people who pay taxes taking on healthcare for the whole country.

Lisa N.J.   April 15th, 2010 9:41 pm ET

I think Tavist Smiley was surprised by how articulate Michele Bachman was. She had good solid responses and was not filled with the hate & vitiriol ; Several news outlets have tried to paint as an idiot. Glad she did so well

Alpha   April 15th, 2010 9:42 pm ET

Hello as another Canadian, I would like very much to have Ann in my country, the one Canadian female that talk for everybody, talk for you only.
Yes I am Canadian and yes I am for the TEA Party and hope that Ann, Sarah to came to visit to listen other opinion. I am ashamed for the way that the University has reacted. Canadians are not socialist, communist or idiots. Go Ann, Go TEA party.

Jon - Michigan   April 15th, 2010 9:43 pm ET

@BigD in MN
LOL my wife and I have alwaays wondered what people from MN think of her...she scares me!

Charles   April 15th, 2010 9:44 pm ET

@Dr. Noah,
Thanks for your comments and good luck with your campaign.

rc   April 15th, 2010 9:46 pm ET

I believe NASA has been lining their executive pockets and the President is reorganizing it in order to cut wasteful spending. Why fund with so much money when, lately, we have been using Russian spacecrafts for most of the missions to the space station. That money along with the dismantling of nukes can revitalized our ailing economy.

BigD TRUTH CENTRE, MN   April 15th, 2010 9:46 pm ET

Dennis Ulrich- Very Well Said– People Collecting Social Security & Have the Luxury of Medicare that Like You Say are Complaining about Socialistic Government Control & Spending & are True Tea Partiers Should Really Burn Their Medicare Cards & Tear Up Their Social Security Checks in the Fashion of 60's Protesters that They Hated Way Back Then but Were Afraid to Do Anything About It By Trying to Write the Longest Run-On Sentence!

John   April 15th, 2010 9:49 pm ET

Maybe the Tea Party Movement will reshape the Republican Party but I hope not. I would be disappointed to see a major political party become associated with such an anti-intellectual approach to American democracy. The ignorance driving the tea parties is the same ignorance driving policies for maintaining the social injustices we see in public education today.

Jane - WI   April 15th, 2010 9:49 pm ET

So the Estefan's are "non-partisan". Did they host a fundraiser for President Bush or other Republicans? This was not merely a party for the Obama's, it was a Democratic fundraiser.

Sarah Dozzi   April 15th, 2010 9:49 pm ET

Pres. Obama is working very hard to improve global public relations, medical coverage for everybody in the USA, and to improve the economy and to put people to work on infrastructure, technology, green energy, etc. No matter what he tries to do he gets absolutely no cooperation from the Republicans...and then they blame Obama! Watching Ann Coulter, or Sarah Palin, mouth off loudly does not add to the reputation of the USA in other countries. Imagine Ann Coulter's comparing Pres. Bush to Pres. Obama. Pres. Obama is trying to recapture USA's reputation by making respectful and intelligent decisions. He is trying to right the wrongs of the last eight years! Other countries, including Canada, deeply respect Pres. Obama – when will Americans see the light and support their beloved leader?

joe johnson   April 15th, 2010 9:50 pm ET

Hey Alpha, you can have them all and make sure you take their visas once they get to canada, so they can never come back

rc   April 15th, 2010 9:50 pm ET

I am curious. The tea party group are suppose to be tax payers right? Then how is it that they have been traveling around the country protesting? Do they have a job? Probably not. They are probably using the unemployment money to fund their trips. Talk about being two-faced.

Derrick T,   April 15th, 2010 9:51 pm ET

Why was there not a Tea Party movement when George Bush was in office? How fast we forget Iraq and the WMD theory that lead us to war in the first place. If the president was Sarah Palin or John McCain we would not be having this conversation.

Jane - WI   April 15th, 2010 9:52 pm ET

Jon,
No, but just be consistent. If you don't like people making remarks about Obama, you better not have been making comments about Bush. If you want people to tolerate left wingers such as Mahrer or Michael Moore, you should be prepared to be tolerant of people such as Ann Coulter. Why are liberals so full of anger and hate for those they don't agree with? The media is always telling us how "tolerant" liberals are.

Charles   April 15th, 2010 9:52 pm ET

@rc,
Many of them are retired with good incomes on which they pay taxes. Planning for the future it's called; a novel concept in the US.

LB   April 15th, 2010 9:54 pm ET

@Jane – WI, " If you want people to tolerate left wingers such as Mahrer or Michael Moore, you should be prepared to be tolerant of people such as Ann Coulter."

There are many double standards and lot of hate coming from the left but they always seem to justify it.

Jane - WI   April 15th, 2010 9:54 pm ET

Dr NOah,
No one said that 47% of Americans don't pay taxes. What they don't pay is income taxes. Of that 47%, 40% also get checks from the government to reimburse them for the money taken from their checks for SS and Medicare.
If you use roads and want a military to protect you, you should be paying at least a little something into the federal tax system.

Chris Young   April 15th, 2010 9:55 pm ET

Every aspect of government spending needs to be evaualated. The space program is a part of that. I don't always agree with the views expressed, but I want to hear both sides myself. I'm not usually in sink with the current government administration, but everything is now coming out in the open. Leave no stone unturned. Thank you CNN for broadcasting all views.

Jane - WI   April 15th, 2010 9:57 pm ET

jon-michigan,
I would suspect that many in the tea party movement are paying taxes. They are fed up with having to support the 47% who don't pay federal income taxes or get an extra check back from Uncle Sam.

Jerome Smigelski   April 15th, 2010 9:58 pm ET

Tea Party is needed to keep this country on the straight and narrow after people like Bart helped sell america out. 47 percent Don't pay taxes and alot of them are freeloaders., Jerome S. Michigan

Charles   April 15th, 2010 9:58 pm ET

Dr. Noah,
To Jane's point, 47% pay no federal income taxes and 3% pay 3.3% of the federal income tax revenue so basically 50% pay no taxes. And there are some who pay taxes who receive refunds for more than they paid due to earned income credits, etc. There is a serious lack of understanding about who is paying all of the taxes but we want those paying to continue paying more and more.

rc   April 15th, 2010 9:58 pm ET

Everyone is also forgetting that of that percentage, there are many disabled vets of the military etc.. who also do not pay taxes. Even with that some are having additional withholdings come out of their pay.

Tom from Vermilion, Ohio   April 15th, 2010 9:58 pm ET

The "comments" posted regarding Ann Coulter indicate moderates do indeed understand her for what she "really" is. Good Night Everyone!

Wayne   April 15th, 2010 9:59 pm ET

Ms. Coulter, you and others like you continue to downplay the racism in this country. I do agree that in some cases the race card is overplayed, isn't it O.J.? But the point is, that until your folks sleep in blankets purposely infected with smallpox, are enslaved and stripped of your heritage, beaten for allegedly whistling at a white woman, washed off streets with fire hoses, injectected with syphillis for experimental purposes, come home from fighting a war and serving your country only to come home and be beaten and discriminated against, you have absolutely no idea what real racism is. You all say this is all history. Help me understand why there is suddenly a push to celebrate the confederacy while still downplaying slavery. Again, you have no idea about real racism. I've lived it.

Jane - WI   April 15th, 2010 10:00 pm ET

Some people are wondering why those who complain about big government are willing to take SS and Medicare? I believe they've paid into the system all their lives. Why should they not get a return?

also, those who claim they don't pay enough in taxes (such as Warren Buffet or Bill Gates), could easily write out a bigger check to pay Uncle Sam whatever they want to. I haven't seen them put their money where their mouths are.

LW   April 15th, 2010 10:00 pm ET

Jane just want to let you know that I am a minority and I have been paying taxes since I was 16 years old. You said there are no minorities at the Tea Party tax rallies because we don't pay taxes. I really get upset when people like yourself want to label minorties as being lazy and don't work, or we are receiving welfare. Truth is check out your stats you find out who the majority of the people in this country who is lazy and receive food stamps and welfare. Let's stop labeling one another. And by the way I have no desire to attend a Tea Party meeting. Frankly, it's a waste of time. The media is giving the Tea Party too much attention.

Just my point! How about Kathe at about 7:20 and Ana at about 9:20? Their comments will not be subject to moderation but mine will? They can make fun of the elderly and Kathe´s comments, full of errors uncharacteristic of elementary school grads, are also reasonable just because they´re liberal?

1-Who owns your home?
2.Who Finances your car?
3.Who lends your employer money to make pay roll?
4.Where did all our tax money go?
5.Who got bailed out was it you?

The people all of you are talking about here are not the people running the country.

Charles   April 15th, 2010 10:24 pm ET

@Hillary,
Some save and pay cash for their cars; some companies don't need loans to make payroll. Most have a mortgage but receive tax deductions for the interest they pay; renters do not receive any such deduction.

Banks were bailed about; almost all have repaid the taxpayers with very high returns. For example, Goldman Sachs repaid in a few months and paid 17% interest for that few months.

Next point?

Great show tonite with Tavis Smiley, Aisha and Ann Coulter! The shining star was the actress Aisha! She went toe to toe with Ann Coulter. Aisha was informative and articulate. I would LOVE to see her become a FREQUENT guest on all of CNN programs.

Charles   April 15th, 2010 10:33 pm ET

@Ann,
You are right but it was better than usual tonight except that I did not care for Aisha. She talks so fast and doesn't take time to articulate. It was though she was thinking the entire time that she just wanted to "get Ann."
She's hardly a challenge for Ann in reality.

Raggedy Andy Coulter with a geoduck extension has been living the life of a tranny and enjoying the status of a celebrity at the expense of those of can ingest the oral representations that comes out of that face. There are so many shriveled by the recent invitation gone spunked in Canada when Coulter, who has always had a problem with Canadian heritage and contributions, made a flippant rant of the racial outbursts that are norm for the numbnut.

Smith in Oregon   April 16th, 2010 12:08 am ET

The American public should begin realizing the Texan mega corporations behind the funding for the Tea Party are not only joined at the hip with the Republican party, they also pay very little if any taxes!

Yes, the same individuals largely bankrolling the Tea Party are Republican Party insiders and the mega corporations connected to that movement operate thru off-shore tax shelters to evade legally paying Social Security and Medicare-Medicaid taxes on their employees.

All the cooking of the books ENRON engaged in is certainly copied loop hole after loop hole by many Republican led corporations. And didn't Bush-Cheney fully know what was going on at ENRON? ALL the red flags, the hundreds of Millions of dollars flowing thru off-shore accounts, all of the untaxed profits.

If the 'true' issue of the Tea Party is fair taxes then go after the Republican led Corporations who appear to be the largest tax evaders in American history.

And when it comes to cleaning up the huge enviromental disasters those same Republican led Corporations cause to the tune of Hundreds of Millions of dollars per site, WHO PAYs the CLEAN UP?

American taxpayers are stuck with that huge tax bill also, the Republican placed Federal Jurists and Appeal Court Jurists routinely disallow huge major settlements against these Corporations for toxic dumping and cleanup costs.

Cajazz76:24:8   April 16th, 2010 12:09 am ET

Dr. Belinda Noah

If your convinced the Republican/Tea Party are not racist you're a lost cause in your run for the Senate. You haven't a snowball chance in hell of winning on a Republican ticket in November because I guarantee your name will not even be on that ticket. I have seen the Uncle Toms at the Tea Party gatherings and trust they are as much of a token as you're being by supporting the Republican/Tea Party. You lost in 2006 after initially claiming you won and reported your e-files were hacked. Look, I don't care if you were the Queen of England in a past life or kin to the boat driver Noah, you are suffering from delusional visions if you think you are going to win on a Republican ticket come November. However, I wish you well. Your just not wrapped like a Rebubbacant...Save your money and spend it on your kids education or change to a non-racist party.

I always thought she was first known as Andy Coulter...something never quite resonated from between her hips that said she was quite anatomically correct, as her pitiful attempts to become bed-rolled and betrothed attests. She is what she-it is...a raggedy plastic implanted Polemistic Pundit in search of a Pole. The things Coulter was never accused of were being droll or real...

The same old lies, the tea party right keeps on repeating, they say it to them selfs so much they begin to belive that crap comming from between their lips. Look at the facts. Tea pariters cannot think for themselfs, they need the likes of Ann Coulter, Rush Limbuagh, Sean Hannity to do there thinking for them and to tell them how they feel. I would like to see you tell all the mothers that that health care that her child can now get because of a preexisting condition that they could not buy before at any price, you are going to take that away 2 years from now. Repeal that. You want to start a riot.

Great job Aisha Tyler! I was very impressed with you on Larry King tonight. Would like to see you discuss politics more often.

angie   April 16th, 2010 12:39 am ET

Ann Coulter claims that 20% of Tea Partiers voted for Obama. How is it that these people would vote for Obama based on a platform of health care reform, then now oppose the president for passing health care reform legislation? And if this is the result of some poll, how many respondents only claim to have voted for Obama in an attempt to skew the results?

Barbara   April 16th, 2010 12:40 am ET

hockibabe   April 16th, 2010 12:45 am ET

Smith in Oregon, I couldn't agree with your post more. They also forget about a S & L scandal. Republican's have always been in bed with war monger's, big oil, big business, insurance and on and on. It is embarrassing to think these are "right" thinking people. I should say "far right" thinking people are this gullible. If you so much as uttered a different opinion on the "Dubya" administration you were labeled un-patriotic, un-American or against the troops or called names because we were in a war. Well....I'd rather have a thoughtful Commander in Chief than have a President send our troops into a war of "his convenience". His children were not asked to put their life on the line. He (GWB) set this country and our standing on the world stage in peril.

jack   April 16th, 2010 12:48 am ET

In fairness, I do not think Anne is nuts. I think she adopted a right wing crazy persona to make money. But , the people that buy into her warped views, really need to educate themselves and stop believing her garbage.

jack   April 16th, 2010 1:01 am ET

@Dr. Belinda Noah...Maybe you are so wealthy you don't need your social security. It is one of the things you equate with tax that is very much needed. The same goes for medicare. Read your history, and you will see the awful plight of the elderly that had to move to poor houses or live on charity, if they could find it. Today with the scattered families, moving in with family members would often not be an option either. The tea party is an unrealistic, and perhaps selfish response to a gathering storm of poverty .

jack   April 16th, 2010 1:10 am ET

@Barbara...If you are so against liberal programs, let me have your social security. If you accept that or medicare or enjoy any of the myriad services taxes pay for, you are accepting fruit from the poisoned tree of liberalism. lol

hockibabe   April 16th, 2010 1:12 am ET

Aisha Tyler... What is that? I'll tell you what it is--it's racism. Not until the dead weight of our parents die, will we EVER get past this rabid racism. I'm a M/W/F and am so sick of hearing this right wing rant ad nauseam.

Bush Cheney admin violated every Bill of rights freedom we have as Americans- Mr. Obama is doing well considering the battles he has had to fight just to get our heads above water. I am still waiting on the economy to recover. Where are the road jobs bridge jobs and other jobs that will start rebuilding America? We need this asap take a look around at the conditions of our infrastructure. We also need immediate federal assistance with our states education funding without stipulation. Let other state offices fend for themselves, however, save our childrens education.

Most of the highjacker's on 9/11 were of Saudi descent and when the King visited Bush W...held the Kings hand as they walked and they even nicknamed an ambassador Bandar Bush. I mean, what is up with that? Blackwater Co., was protected and given catered food while our service men/women ate spoiled food. They were also part of the Abu Ghraib embarrassment. Ms. Coulter needs a history lesson if she thinks Hitler was a Socialist and Anti-Christian. He was a Fascist AND a devout Christian who thought he was doing Gods' work by ridding the world of Jews. Has no one pointed out to Ms. Coulter that the black cross on all of the nazi planes and tanks was a stylized Christian cross?? Why don't the politicians take pay cuts? Teachers, Fireman, and Police Officers hold public positions and they can't be doing it for the money. They must do it because they want to SERVE the people. So why do we SERVE the politicians with huge salaries? If you really want government to work, give the politicians a public service salary. Then we will have a better chance of getting a government that wants to serve the people.

Theresa   April 16th, 2010 11:56 am ET

To all those that think |Ann Coulter NEVER lies or spreads untruths....always checks her facts..sorry on that account. I remember when I saw aninterview with her..with a \Canadian interviewer. She was adamant that we Canadians fought in the Vietnam War & was unrelentless insinuating the interviewer didn't know what he was talking about. That's right Ann...we Canadians didn't know what our country does. We leave it all up to the Americans who know everything about our country. Please ...the only time Canada gets on American news these days is if the Tea Party members & Republicans are criticizing our health care or they like to mention socialism. We rarely get a compliment. I couldn't believe when Americans actually complimented us for the Olympics in Vancouver!!! Thank you!!! By the way Ann ...once again Canada did not send canadian troops to Vietnam ...hre only way a Canadian fought in vietnam was if he had dual citizenship!!!!

Charles   April 16th, 2010 12:07 pm ET

@Theresa,Funny how to criticize Ann. Many times I feel that you think you know more about the US than we citizens do. Americans like Canada; if they don't like your healthcare system, it's their right. It doesn't mean they don't like Canada. I do, however, understand your feelings. Again, I feel the same way every time you pass judgment on us.

Theresa   April 16th, 2010 12:23 pm ET

@ Dr. Belinda Noah... I as a Canadian watched on my tv screen especially 2 the time of the health care town hall meetings. I can't believe that you actually wrote that the Tea Party members are NOT racists.....I'm certain all are not but DO NOT say that all aren't. I actually watched & viewed blatant racism...shook my head in sadness that a supposed democratic country could treat it's fellow citizens like that. I don't care who you are ...everyone from time to time has racist feelings & actually has said racist comments. BUT to actually scream these horrible comments & carry placards as such is just horrible. To me people who act this way are frightened ...of what I have no idea. Are they frightened they might have to share...especially the elite caucasians ....they might not keep a hold on their precious hierarchy & someone who they think is lesser might get a bit ahead. My parentwere of Ukranian heritage & years ago the English Canadians thought anyone of a foreign heritage was not their equal. My father was born in Austria...my mother in Canada. My father would not speak Ukranian because he didn't want an accent because it would be harder for him to get employment if they didn't think he was English. This took many years before attitudes changed..thank goodness. My sister adopted 2 Korean children, my very new son'in'law is Caadian born Chinese. His parents were born in Hong Kong. Why is it some people don't want to get to know another culture. People basically are the same world wide...they want to be able to take care of their children well, able to provide a bit more than the basics, be happy & healthy!! My daughter lived & worked in S. Korea for 6 & 1/2 yr. I visited her there once...met many of her Koreans friends & their families. What friendly people & yes , all they want is the best for their families!!!

Theresa   April 16th, 2010 12:32 pm ET

@ Charles...I have never professed to know as much about your country as you Americans should know. You have to admit Charles the average American knows almost nil about the my country. My sister is an American citizen, has lived in ths States for decades & yes I know more about your politics than she does. For goodnes s sake we get almost equal newas about your country each evening as we do about ours. Can you honestly say that about ANY American newscast that has even 5% each eve about Canada? One year my sis & her family were visiting @ Olympics time ...my brother -in -law who is American was shocked that Canada's coverage was more than just Canada. So, Charles if I offend you or your fellowcitizens I'm sorry.....I just like to educate myself about my country & any other that I find interesting!!!

Cajazz76:24:8   April 16th, 2010 12:48 pm ET

Theresa...just to update you on your misinformation....OH CANADA!!!!

The Canadian government sent troops to Vietnam in August 1954 during the partition of Vietnam. They stayed through January 1973. They incurred casualties and several deaths. Confirmation and further details appear in the articles on International Control Commission and International Commission of Control and Supervision, both of which contain extensive links and references.

The government of Canada awarded medals to 1,550 of these troops for their service between August 7, 1954 and January 28, 1973. . A second medal was also awarded to the 240 Canadian troops who participated in Operation Gallant in Vietnam from January 28, 1973 to July 31, 1973.

Cajazz76:24:8   April 16th, 2010 12:53 pm ET

once again Canada did not send canadian troops to Vietnam ...hre only way a Canadian fought in vietnam was if he had dual citizenship!!!!

Cajazz76:24:8   April 16th, 2010 1:10 pm ET

Theresa..............OH CANADA....

Over 40,000 Canadians served in Viet Nam...over 4,000 were wounded and over 400 were killed..If you knew all you thought you knew about your Canada you would know Canada has a Viet Nam War Memorial in Windsor...however only about 125 names are listed there....most, by far, did not have dual citizenship.....

The Dude   April 16th, 2010 1:23 pm ET

Theresa you need to relax. We are here discussing a TV show. Not Canada. If this were a CBC show I would hope that Americans would have the manners not to insult Canadians.

… A typical cri du chat from Ann

“In fact Sarah Palin has created more jobs than Obama has. She created eleven jobs fact-checking at the AP just for the Palin autobiography.”

The only Job Sarah Palin created was when she walked off her job as Governor and Sean Parnell assumed Governor of Alaska! I would venture to say, probably the best thing that could happen to Alaska! Thank you Sarah for bailing out when you could no longer ‘snow’ the people of Alaska!

For all of you Americans who have informed me I'm ignorant, uninformed I just want you to knowin 1954 Canadians Polish, & Indians were in Vietnam to monitor a ceasefire agreement.Alsothe canadians that fought in Vietnam were part of the US military, most became US citizens on return or had dual citizenship. What I said was Canada did not send troops to fight in Vietnam as they have in Afghanistan. @ the Dude...I am relaxed so, I don't need to heed your advice. By, the way I have not caklled anyone a racist hillbilly. Those are your words not mine. And yes,I don't need Americans coming to my country telling me how to live my life. Theresa   April 16th, 2010 3:37 pm ET

@Cajazz76:24:8......I beg to differ on the # of canadian troops that were in Vietnam...remember we are a small country...population approx. 33 million & in the 50's & 60's less than that. I do not think we ever had a military with 40,000. From all that I've read the total am't. topped 3,500 military in Vietnam & that's all I have to say. Have a good weekend!!!

@Theresa

Canada has an active military of about 68,000 and a reserve of about 27,000...and your population is over 34,000,000...and in the 1960's it was less, around 21,000,000...you got that correct, congratulations..

mike   April 16th, 2010 4:25 pm ET

Theresa...Cajazzz is more correct than you..here is some of which I found.

The Canadian government believed that because of its membership in ICCS, that Canada had to remain impartial during the Vietnam Conflict. While Canada as a nation was not involved in the fighting, Canadians themselves formed the largest foreign contingent in the U.S. military during the Vietnam era. Although exact numbers are not obtainable, some estimate that between 30,000 and 40,000 served and that 12,000 Canadians actually were in American uniforms in the war zone.

Because it is almost a state secret, most Canadians do not even know that their own Canadian Armed Forces won a Nobel Peace Prize for their efforts in Vietnam.

When the Canadian Vietnam veterans returned to their homeland, they were even more unwelcome than here in the United States, where at least returning veterans had access to government resources. Today, there is a memorial, “The North Wall”, at Assumption Park, Windsor, Ontario, overlooking the Detroit River. It honors the 103 Canadians who lost their lives in Vietnam and the seven who went missing in action. It is a fine tribute to those Canadians who served and sacrificed all for their belief in freedom.

@Dodie

You may be referring to a pocket lizard, perhaps?

Dodie   April 16th, 2010 5:42 pm ET

@ Cajazz76:24:8

Perhaps a pocket lizard that can spit pearls...looking for a full necklace...

Gerald Jolly   April 16th, 2010 5:46 pm ET

@ Cajazz 76.

Thank you for the honor you pay Canadians with dual citizenship that served in Vietnam.

Semper Fi my friend.

You know of what I speak.

All i can comment is i'll be voting Rebublican,i don't agree on the H.C. program, and on jobs for U.S. citizens the President has done nothing but extened unemplyment benifts, also as a Latino all his promises are false, i pray he'll only be a one term President. Because of the H.C. program i feel Democrat Senaters will lose their seats this election year.

Theresa   April 16th, 2010 6:20 pm ET

@Cajazz76:24:8.......I'm not hard headed......I hope I learn something new everyday.....if I'm wrong I have no problem admitting it...... what I read I know isn't always the truth but hopefully for the most part it is. I have to admit ...I didn't know there was a memorial "The North Wall" honoring our Canadian vets. Thanks for informing...there I have learned a few tidbits today. Teah...it's good for the brain ...hopefully to ward off alzheimer's. I need all the help i can get since I had 2 mild strokes in 5 wk... It's scary since you don't know if or when another might happen. Once again ...have a good weekend!!!!!

Cajazz76:24:8   April 16th, 2010 6:32 pm ET

@Gerald Jolly

Dual citizenship or not...they volunteered and served and were never given near the recognition they deserved, especially by their own country. By far, most did not have dual citizenship at the time of their service. Many were North American Indians living in Canada...all in my eyes are heroes. They served in all branches of our Armed Forces and when they returned stateside and back to Canada, they had it worse than most U.S. veterans. Since the majority did not have dual citizenship, those that needed medical care that was provided by the VA never received it, even though they more than earned it. Thanks Gerald for catching on to what has been ignored for so long. To so many Semper Fidelis became Simply Forgot Us........

I know you have been ill for a while and I have been wishing you have a complete recovery.. Never think for a second I am not appreciative of the contributions you make to those of us south of your borders. A little bit of jostling will just get your blood running a little hotter and that can't be all bad...Enjoy your weekend and never give up blogging. Your always one to get our eyes opened a bit wider and recognize we are not alone in this world of information..and although it makes me cringe to even think of her name, I apologize for any intrusive behavior of Raggedy Andy/Ann Coulter.

–Australia the Vietnam War ended in 1972
–New Zealand: The longest and most contentious overseas war for New Zealand was Vietman.
–Canada (as discussed in this blog) No need to make this the department of redundancy.
–Ireland: Soldiers from Ireland fought in Vietnam Between 1965 and 1973
–England

Dodie   April 16th, 2010 7:00 pm ET

That is what I get for posting while talking to a co-worker. The list is countries that were involved in the Vietnam war along with the US. I am sure there are more countries, but this is what I found.

Chris   April 16th, 2010 8:18 pm ET

@Dodie,
I have to wonder why you paint such a negative picture of the tea party as though they are ignorant and uninformed. Some of your friends do the same but I caught one of your last comments about them.
I do not belong to the tea party but they are quite educated, make a good living, pay taxes and the group is not supported by corporate America.
Also, there seems to be a need to make them racist (a little like Democrats trying to make President Clinton racist because of a comment he made about Jesse Jackson when Barrack Obama was campaigning). It would seem to me that any intelligent person would not expect a great presence of black Americans in the tea party since 95% of them voted for President Obama. The tea party is opposed to the spending and budget he has set forth, thus supporters of him would most likely would not be involved with the tea party. There is nothing racist about them.
It diminishes others perception of our intelligence when we cannot speak the truth about someone or a group simply because we do not agree with them.

Chris   April 16th, 2010 8:23 pm ET

@Theresa,
What did you see on television that the tea party was doing to suggest they were racist? It's interesting that you feel you have seen something to that effect yet no one has been able to step forth with any footage that would suggest racism. There are a small number of black Americans who belong to the tea party; it's hard to imagine they would want to be with a racist group. So, again, what specifically did you see?

Sorry to hear about your health issues and I hope you are making a full recovery.

Dodie   April 16th, 2010 10:06 pm ET

@ Chris:

To make a statement without investigation is exactly the creation of ignorance akin to your band leader, Sarah Palin. It really is quite simple, go to Google and type in Tea Party Racism, violence, etc. You will have the entire evening filled with videos and pictures depicting Racism within the Teabagger demonstrations. I do not know where you have been, but Racism is evident in many of the demonstrations along with violence.

These Christian minded right-winged disciples of the Republican Party are blinded by the fact of what has cost this nation between the years of 2000-2008. They are childish in their behaviors and want to blame the current administration for all the ills of this country which most presumably started 50 years ago with the worst catastrophe during the Cheney/bush admin. All you need to do is check the facts!

Cajazz76:24:8   April 16th, 2010 10:32 pm ET

@Chris

I have wondered for the past 8 months, or so, why the current uproar from the right-wing conservatives, now Tea-Party Neo-Nuts, were so silent during the eight year debacle of the Cheney-Bush hierarchy.

I was constantly sending letters of disgust to Washington and my U.S. and state legislators. All the bastards were Rebubbacants and, of course, they never answered with anything that addressed my specific concerns, just a canned piece of crap.

Do you realize what the right-wingers cost this country? You and your affiliates blame it on a president tasked with a situation, unseen in the history of this country, caused by his predecessors.

How soon we forget in this country and how easy we are to post blame on the wrong person. I'll bet you cannot even identify our current president is a light year ahead in intelligence than the one who cannot even spell the word. Stop and think and learn on your own the truth of what you are denying to yourself.

Theresa   April 16th, 2010 10:42 pm ET

@ Chris...I don't have to hear people screaming racist comments , but I can read what is written on placards that are racist comments. To depict your Pres. as an ape to me is racist. It;s not alwys what you say but how it is stated & the tone of full sarcasm & disdain is racist...listen to sarah Palin..she enjoys inciting fear &terror in many of the groups she speaks to. If you think what she says is A.O.K.;;;then I have to disagree with you. I thought she stated she would like to work with the Pres."'she has done everything but tried to work with him. You don't have to agree with someone all the time to be able to have a good working relationship...you don't have to even like them. I just think it's so sad that people just enjoy aggravating each other ...your country is beautiful, has many positive qualities but when it's own citizens cannot even agree on the simplest things this is the start of a true decline. Chris ..are you going to say many of the problems aren't because Pres. Obama is biracial. In my opinion that is the main reason there are so many problems. It truly is sad...hseems as if he truly cares but when people are impeding every solution without giving it a try ...there is a problem.. Thanks for asking about my health..actually yesterday I thought I was having another stroke ..it seemed to pass but today I feel as if I've been run over by a bus. i have tonstay healthy ..my brand new son-in-law 7 daughter are coming for a visit ..bringing pics from their wedding. Thet were married in Maui...from the pics you should be proud of that city..it's absolutely beautiful..theystayed at a wonderful hotel....traditional Hawaiian customs followed. They loved it!!!

Gerald Jolly   April 16th, 2010 11:01 pm ET

@ Chris.

Is your father's name KARL ROVE??????

Chris   April 16th, 2010 11:19 pm ET

Dodie,
It is so sad that you have to constantly put down anyone of the Christian faith. Everyone is entitled to their faith and it seems that you approve of all faiths except those most common here in America. Strange. Also, there is no connection between the Christian faith and the tea party. They have promoted/advocated nothing pertaining to religion.

One of your buddies one night posted that you were a psychologist when it was asked if you were a doctor. If you are a psychologist, and who knows, it's sad to think someone with that type of training designed to help people is one of the most negative people one could ever encounter.

Speaking of Christianity, God bless you :-).

Chris   April 16th, 2010 11:21 pm ET

Gerald Jolly,
LMAO! I totally agree with you when you say, "shame on the genetically dysfunctional people who bore me." Too funny.
As for fathers, I assume you never had one. Good evening.

Gerald Jolly   April 17th, 2010 11:37 am ET

@ Chris.

You must be clearvoyant, you're right, I dont have a father.

You see, he died serving our country in 1943, the sad part is that he died for the undeserving also, just like you and the TEABAGGERS that you so adore and represent.

Cajazz76:24:8   April 17th, 2010 8:48 pm ET

Donald L Allen

I cannot deny a single thing you have ever said..........and for good reason.

Dodie   April 18th, 2010 1:04 am ET

@ chris

I stated: These Christian minded right-winged disciples of the Republican Party are blinded by the fact of what has cost this nation between the years of 2000-2008.

Chris: Where do you see that as a put down? It is a fact! The Republican party is made up from the Christian right-wing and is responsible for the catastrophic mess we are currently experiencing. The problem lies as there is no separation between church and state.

I do not want any religion running this country....selling fear "Muslims are evil" kind of garbage just does not flow well with me. You have been involved with the Christian wars for over 1,000 years. Isn't it time to give it up?

Everyone has a right to believe as they want. I have no issue with your Christian beliefs except when they intersect my style of life and the way this country operates. Like you, I also have the right to my personal belief system.

luckybee   April 18th, 2010 9:28 am ET

Much cheaper as the cost what democrats have to pay for theyr wars.
The battle of Iwo Jima has cost the Amerikan (Rooseveld) about 7000 deads; and it was just one battle, of the many battles that have to be fought. The Korean battles; kost more than the battle that G.W. Bush have to do in as wel Iraq and Afghanistan together. That was a Truman war.The war that Kennedy has to fought in Vietnam, kost much more Amerikan dead than Bush wars all together. It will cost us more dead if G.W Bush let it happened that the war must be fought in our towns and citty's, in the west.We have luck that he choose to fight them in theyr own country's.

Dodie   April 18th, 2010 12:08 pm ET

@ luckybee

You make statements without investigation. The Iraq and Afghanistan war has already cost this country financially more than all the previous wars combined. We are still fighting these two wars and the cost is currently in the TRILLIONs of dollars. When you discuss war, one must also take into consideration all the medical costs for those who fought and served. Not to mention the loss of precious lives. You say your very religious; however, I have a very difficult time understanding how religious people can be so concerned about a fetus; and have not a care in the world about the young men and women dieing every day because of war! If life is so precious, then we should abolish war. When the platform belief is...."life is precious", one cannot pick and choose who lives and who dies! A false logic in deductive reasoning! This is completely incongruent!

luckybee   April 18th, 2010 12:52 pm ET

Dear Dodie We are attacked by the islamists, in the shape of Al Qaida, and Bin Laden. We didn't start the war.
Yes I am a religious man, but even the bible said, we have to protect our wife and child, and don't believe the soothing words of the beasts. Matheus 7 vers13-23.

13 Enter ye in by the narrow gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many are they that enter in thereby.
14 For narrow is the gate, and straitened the way, that leadeth unto life, and few are they that find it.
15 Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves.
16 By their fruits ye shall know them. Do [men] gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but the corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
20 Therefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father who is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy by thy name, and by thy name cast out demons, and by thy name do many mighty works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

And that is what G.W. Bush have done.To hew and burn the bad trees.

There were no Iraqi Muslim terrorists on board any of the aircraft during the 9/11 attacks
(15) out of (19) were Saudis..(2) were from the United Arab Emirates...(1) was from Lebanon and the purported leader was Egyptian.

Bush did not attack Saudi Arabia. Osama bin Laden is Yemeni and his family moved to Saudi Arabia and are some of the wealthiest people in that country..I know first hand because I lived there for nearly five years ...Bush did not attack Yemen..nor the U.A.E....nor Lebanon..nor Eqypt.

The Bush family is very good friends with the Saudis...its about the oil/money..There were no Afghani citizens involved in the 9/11 attacks. The U.S. had no reason to attack Afghanistan because one of small group of terrorists who took up residence there.

We are not the world police you know. Here it is over 9 1/2 years later and that small group led by bin Laden and Osama bin Laden himself, according to what is known, they still exist.

Bush lied and misled this country to attack Iraq...why? Primarily because he is an ego-idiot who wanted to show his father and the world he would finish what he thought his father should have during the Gulf War.

Like YOU he mixes his religion with his politics and the U.S. and the world is suffering intensely for it. Your religion should be something you regard as very personal to get you through this life and comfort you to accept your death. It was designed to do just that. How unfortunate it has become so bastardized.

I want YOU to justify the nearly million or more Iraqi dead, the U.S. and allied dead, for your beliefs and Bushs' ignorance. You can start now because it will take you to the end of your life to convince me and those who can see what is REAL and what is not.

luckybee's words..My God is a jelause god, he don't want us to whoreship others than him.

So you think ALL Arabs and Muslims should die and their God is an idol of your God....I have to inform you all Arabs do not speak the same language...and all Muslims are not Arab...and there are many manufactured Gods..many of whom reside above the sun visors of automobiles all around the world...and which of those Gods told George W. Bush to kill all the Arabs and the Muslims? And why would God, if he created everything, want his own trees burned..or the beasts he created killed...and if your God knew before you were born what you would do your entire life, where is the humor in that?

Why would your God be jealous? He can have anything he wants, anytime he wants it...If he doesn't like what he created he has the power to change it, right? Why didn't your God punish those he created to do what he knew they would do before he created them? Seems like we should attack your God and leave all others of the hook for complicity...Face it luckybee, aren't all Gods are manufactured?...If not in each and ever mind that believes, then in a factory somewhere in China or India or Japan or Mexico or some place were labor is cheap and they can be made for a dime per dozen and sold to appease mans true enemy.....his FEAR. Man's first enemy was his fear.... which he manufactured his God to combat ...I am not saying do not create a system to console your inevitable demise. I am saying do not use your system of belief to destroy others, when we have successfully proven that it is a waste of innocent lives...far in excess of those who have taken life and should be punished for it....

Dodie   April 18th, 2010 7:29 pm ET

@ luckybee, luckybee, luckybee,

Listen to yourself talk! You are terrifying.......

You stated: "They are all arabs; they speaks the same language, they are all moslims. Even Sadam was a moslim. What are you complaining about?"

(So that is good enough reason for these people to die???) Are you kidding me???? What on earth happened to "life is precious "

You stated: "We are attacked by the islamists, in the shape of Al Qaida, and Bin Laden. We didn't start the war."

(The christians have been at war with Islamism for over 1,000 years.... Isn't it time to lay down your weapons and reach out and shake hands???)

So if I was Jewish, maybe my "god" would tell me that killing all christians would be OK? That logic is just insane!

Bottom line: Your god does not give a darn about life is precious if you justify the killing of all these "people" Yes, they are like you and I, they are Homo sapiens... Humans!

You are the terrorist to my psyche!!!!

Johannes 14,1-14
Christus vertroost Zijn discipelen
1 Let not your heart be troubled: believe in God, believe also in me.

2 In my Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you.

3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I come again, and will receive you unto myself; that where I am, [there] ye may be also.

4 And whither I go, ye know the way.

5 Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; how know we the way?

6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life: no one cometh unto the Father, but by me.

7 If ye had known me, ye would have known my Father also: from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.

8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it sufficeth us.

9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and dost thou not know me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; how sayest thou, Show us the Father?

10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I say unto you I speak not from myself: but the Father abiding in me doeth his works.

11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.

12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater [works] than these shall he do; because I go unto the Father.
.
13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

14 If ye shall ask anything in my name, that will I do.
