Tina Fey plans to take on Sarah Palin again on 'SNL'

When Tina Fey returns to “Saturday Night Live” to guest host on April 10, she’ll apparently be reviving one of her most popular impressions. Fey told Britain's Daily Telegraph newspaper that she expects to portray former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin in another sketch.

“I’m sure we’ll be trying to write something about her,” Fey said during an interview to promote her new movie, “Date Night.”

A spokeswoman for “SNL” said she could not confirm which sketches were in the works, noting that it was a live program subject to change.

Fey’s devastating take on the onetime GOP vice presidential nominee was one of the standout memes of the 2008 presidential contest, culminating with a guest appearance on “SNL” by Palin herself.

The writer and actress said she’s been too busy working on “30 Rock” to pay much attention to Palin in recent weeks, but the former Alaska governor has offered her fans and critics plenty of fodder. She joined former running mate John McCain on the campaign trail, debuted a new show on Fox News and signed a deal to star in a docu-series about Alaska that will air on TLC.

Kudo's to Tina Fey on her plans to continue her incredible portrayal of Sarah Palin, 'You Bet Syeah!'. I look forward to watching and laughing so hard my ribs hurt with Tina Fey as Sarah Palin.

Tina Fey was great impersonating Sarah Palin during the 2008 campaign. But enough is enough!!! I've seen Ms Palin more than enough times on my tv screen since then. If Tina Fey continually keeps the image of Sarah Palin alive & thriving.....we'll unfortunately never get out of our lives. What I want for Ms Palin is total obscurity.......when you hear her think...oh,yes....wherever can she be !!!!!!!

I find it amazing how people keep saying they don't wish to see or hear about Sarah Palin, and then do exactly that, people keep talking about her one way or another. Let us face it she has something. You will either hate her or love her, but you will not ignore her. People make comments about her being stupid, well she sold 2 million copies of her book, ran for Vice President of the United States, and yes she may just run for President and win, I would not call her a dummy.

Palin 'sold' 2 million copies of her book because Americans love sensationalist shock trash; much in the same vein why 'Desperate Housewives' is a no1 show in the US and Paris Hilton and the Kardashians are considered celebrities because they can step out of a car in full view of the paparazzi on the same day they purposely forgot to wear their knickers.

Palin did not run, but was selected by McCain as his running mate for Vice President because he thought that women in general would support another woman; even if she proudly stood in the way of the rights of rape victims; while locking down the ‘Country First’ patriot bigot vote. Two birds/one stone which did not work very well.

Lastly, I believe that there exists many Republicans would not want her to run for President. She'll win her 'Real America' vote of bigots, racists and non-passport holders; but few others, because Palin is a fog horn of 1950s era red scare-esque fear monger tactics and empty rhetoric laden stupidity with crosshairs references.

Palin stays around, Palin disappears...same difference to me. But she does have a purpose for the former. Beginning in the campaign of 2008, she revealed to the world just how hopelessly backward a large region and demographic of this country continues to be in 2010. This continues today with Tea Party marchers who carry their pictures of monkeys depicting the President with statements like ‘Go Back To Kenya’….and probably don’t even know where Kenya is.
