I really enjoyed the psycho-babble today by a guest MD. here on CNN who was really frustrated that America's Health Care bill was signed into law. He repeatedly stated many MD's refuse to accept Medicare patients which is very very close to TOTALLY ILLEGAL, although I have worked with many MD's that refuse to add more than a tiny portion of their total patient care with Medicare Patients.

Why? Because Medicare Insurance reimburses the MD's with the bare costs and if the MD orders exorbitant exams that are entirely un-needed or not fitting with that disease profile it is not paid for. MD's are unable to hyper-markup patient care costs on Medicare patients.

And with the new Health Care Bill, stiffer regulations and fines will help further prevent Thousands of fraudulent Medical Doctor claims for invasive operations that were entirely unneeded, MRI's, Cat-Scans, Lab Tests not received or entirely misdiagnosed.

In short, the guest MD' was frustrated because he'll make less money. I have absolutely no sympathy for Medical Doctors crying over their lack of work and lack of mountains of money flowing into their pockets.

I agree that there are some mediocre highlights in this new health care legislation, especially if you have a history of illness. The three you mentioned at the top of your program, Insurance shall not be denied based on pre-existing conditions, dependents can remain on parents insurance a few more years, and the one that's supposed to make you feel all warm and fuzzy, insurance can no longer deny coverage to CHILDREN with medical problems.
You should admit the failings of this travesty so here are some of those. We, the people, will be required, by monetary penalty, to buy insurance, waste of taxpayer dollars to enforce this new mandate, employers with less than 50 employees don't have to offer health insurance coverage, the window between those that the government deems can and cannot afford insurance. No regulation on the cost of health insurance premiums, insurers are free to raise premium costs just as they have in the past, nor the cost of health care itself. So hoist your glass and cheer for the passage of this legislation and let's hope we don't meet each other in front a death panel.

Hi Larry,
it has been said time & again by people who suffer & even by some MDs that American people have long been the victims of the insurers, big Pharma, hospitals etc who are in this game to make a buck & nothing more.
The way this nation has been drugged into addiction to medicines, forced into tests upon tests & surgeries is nobody's business.
With the passage of this bill somewhat & to greater extent in future I hope we see more steps taken to stem this trend & educate people.

New Harris Poll Data released on What Republican's think of President Obama: Viewer Warning, this is Scary!

57% of All Republicans polled Believe President Obama is a Muslim!
(President Obama and his wife, First Lady Michelle are Christians)

45% of All Republicans polled believe was not born in the United States
(President Obama was born in Hawaii, John McCain however was born in Panama City, Panama on a military base!)

38% of All Republicans polled Believe President Obama is doing many of the things that Hitler did.
(How twisted and confused can you possible get?)

24% of All Republicans polled Believe President Obama may be the Antichrist.
(Apparently even more twisted and confused than the Hitler question!)

4 Republicans out of 10 thinks President Obama is following in the footsteps of Adolph Hitler in his actions!

1 Republican in FOUR thinks President Obama might be the Antichrist!

Perhaps with the new Health Care bill, Republicans can now afford their mental health medication they are entirely missing).

what @ A.Smith has written should scare all Americans.
Where are we heading? Dark Ages?

This kind of lunacy is a wake up call. The President of United States considered the Antichrist. And these people cast votes. Are they literate even?
We are really gullible , the propaganda machines of lobbies have a hay day in this country.

We are experiencing the worst recession in 80 years. Any economist will tell you, you don't raise taxes in the middle of recession. Right or wrong, how on earth can you can you pass a new health care bill that includes the largest tax hike in the history of the United States? It will be a miracle if this country will ever pull out of this economic funk.

george   March 23rd, 2010 10:23 pm ET

This health care bill will be very costly to seniors. When the cuts take effect my doctor told me he will no longer serve medicare patients. My wife is on secure horizons,a medicare advantage plan. When the cuts take place secure horizons said co pays will increase, benifits will decrease.Since our representative did not receive a bribe,it will be very costly for us.So thanks democrates.

The problem is not so much health care bill, It's the Divison of people, the Christian faith is being lost, All I hear is people pointing fingers at the other side name calling. Were is love your neighbor or do not judge. I will be in a higher tax bracket for health care, though I am happy too pay so my Neighbor red whit or blue can get help. god bless, lets put the meaning of a true christian back in the country, Abortion God gave free will I am not pro and am willing to work out the issiue though if we do not work togeather that is the real problem. God Bless America.

dean   April 28th, 2010 5:55 am ET

i have lived in germany as a u.s. citizen for over 11 years now. i am a 46 year old male in lower middle class income bracket. i am self employed and pay 268 euro per month on health insurance and medical care here is 3rd rate in comparison to the united states.
if i worked for a company, i would pay at least 43% of my paycheck on health insurance, etc.
its not a good thing, because the health care really is not good and not at all cheap!
