Larry King Live WEDNESDAY

Posted: 03:08 PM ET

Vice President Joe Biden on money, jobs, and what the current economy means for you!

Senator John Kerry and his wife Teresa Heinz Kerry in their first interview together on her battle with breast cancer.

That's all on Larry King Live on Wednesday at 9ET/6PT!

What would you like Larry to ask Vice President Joe Biden and Sen. John Kerry and his wife Teresa Heinz Kerry?

People voted for abortion and ever so liberal progressive immorality thinking they be getting a much improved economy; war cessation; etc, etc. Now they might be thinking about the Republicans and the Tea Party. But I say Obama barely started his four year tour and we all know already how the economy, money, jobs are doing.

A. Smith, Oregon   February 9th, 2010 4:47 pm ET

I would ask Vice President Joe Biden the following questions:

1) Why haven't you gone to Haiti to survey the massive American relief progress?

2) The First Lady Michelle Obama is active with grade school obesity and health, why is America not fighting the tidal wave of Heroin flooding America's grade schools from Afghanistan's Opium Poppy fields? The Airforce should be instructed to bomb every Poppy field in Afghanistan.

3) Do you feel the Christian God tells you it is alright to send someone half-way around the world to murder a stranger under the guise of nations at war?

4) Why are you not constantly blaming Bush-Cheney for the current economic abyss America now finds itself perched upon?

5) Why isn't the video tape of the well dressed man that helped the Nigerian bomber pass thru the Amsterdam Security gates and spoke for him at the Security check points to get him on his flight to Detroit, not being released to the public and his photos are not on America's most wanted fugitive warrant posters?

The baby boomers out of work are up a creek without a paddle without health insurance reform. We lost our jobs and health insurance, many of us are not eligible for Medicaid, we're too young for Social Security, and we can't afford a private healthcare plan. How can HALF the country be against healthcare reform?? Baby boomers in this situation number in te millions. We are hardworking Americans who never took charity or government assistance. Now we are over 55, can't get a job that offers health insurance and are getting sick. I NOTICE THAT THOSE THAT ARE AGAINST HEALTH CARE REFORM ALREADY HAVE HEALTH INSURANCE FOR THEM AND THEIR FAMILY. HOW SELFISH!! Listen to the UNINSURED, NOT THE INSURED, AND PASS A BILL ASAP PLEASE. It's disgusting that ALL Americans don't want to help ALL Americans and only care about themselves and their family. We uninsured needed this bill YESTERDAY. We can't wait months and months for those opposed to agree to something they approve of. THEY DON'T GIVE A DAMN! Please pass a bill ASAP so that all Americans can afford insurance. Thank you.

Dodie   February 9th, 2010 6:56 pm ET

@ Joanne Wozniacki

Like you, I am also a baby boomer; fortunate to still be employed and receive medical insurance even though I accepted employment at a half the private sector's salary 20 years ago in order to remain employed and receive low cost health care. I am a very strong advocate pertaining to health care reform. I do not need it; however, as you stated, numerous millions of people who have worked their entire life, need it!

There is absolutely NO reason for hard working Americans not to receive affordable health care!!!!! This is not only a disgrace; it is totally disgusting and completely outrageous!!!!! Congress, get your….. &*#&#$% ….. act together!!!

I don’t care what the Republican or Democratic party thinks, the BABY BOOMERS NEED HELP!!!!!

shell Taylor   February 9th, 2010 7:33 pm ET

well,hello vic president,joe biden,i saw you in henderson,nevada,i was yelling,good,job,joe,and i have,an photo,with you,i wanted too,ask,did,you,and jill,have,a great,new year? i think you an PRESIDENT,BARACK OBAMA,ARE DOING, A GOOD,JOB,BUT I NEED MY,STUDENT,LOAN,TOO,BE,PAID,OFF,

Joanne Wozniacki   February 9th, 2010 8:16 pm ET

Thank you Dodie for your intelligence and understanding. What the opponents to healthcare reform don't seem to get through their heads is, millions of the insured are NOT illegal immigrants or freeloaders, they are hard working Americans who worked all their lives, many of whom whose fathers served in World War II. We deserve affordable healthcare NOW, WHATEVER IT TAKES. Too bad if half the country doesn't care or support it. They don't walk in our shoes, and if they did, they'd be in favor of health care reform. NONE OF US ARE LOOKING FOR FREE HEALTHCARE, NOR SEE IT AS SOCIALISM. We just want AFFORDABLE healthcare available that doesn't discriminate against people with pre-existing conditions or the older Americans. I can't stand the selfishness running rampant in this country. Shame on you opponents to healthcare reform. Someday you'll be in my shoes and will sing a different tune.

Dodie   February 9th, 2010 8:29 pm ET

@ Joanne Wozniacki

I am 100% supportive and stand with you every inch of the way!!! My heart goes out to the millions of Americans who paid their dues, worked their entire lives, are not old enough to receive social security or Medicare and are basically tossed out in the cold!

I am very angry over this issue. I have many friends who are in need of affordable healthcare NOW that have worked their entire life.

Joanne, any support I can give, just let me know! This is an issue I would be willing to take time off from work and fly to Washington!

Joanne Wozniacki   February 9th, 2010 8:42 pm ET

Thank you, Dodie. I see we understand each other and are on the same wavelength. I can honestly say, if I did have healthcare and could afford healthcare at the present astronomical costs, I would still support health care reform so that all Americans could get it. It's the right thing to do and I believe, what God wants. I'm sick of these so-called religious fanatics, bible preaching evangelists, and people who don't miss church who are opposed to health care reform. Hypocrites! Also, to the people yelling that they don't agree with a government-run health care plan: The present system DOESN'T WORK for all Americans. The government stepping in is our only option left. From where I stand, I'll take affordable health insurance wherever I can get it and whatever it takes.

A. Smith, Oregon   February 9th, 2010 9:02 pm ET

Vice President Joe Biden, over 4,000 American citizens die each year because they do not have adequate health care. Many of those 4,000 American's have no health care insurance. More American citizens die each year directly from having no health care than those that died in the 9/11 attack. How does Homeland Security protect America citizens when the entire Republican party has turned its back on health care for American citizens?

Vice President Joe Biden, why did the Democratic Administration cut a deal with the Big Pharma's corporations whom American citizens are being forced to subsidize their extra high markup's on their drugs they sell in America to offset the lower costs for those same drugs in Canada and many other countrys?

Vice President Joe Biden, the Health Industry poured out OVER $250 Million dollars in lobbying Congress and Primarily 40 Republican Senators in 2008 alone! How do those corporations pour such huge amounts of money into influencing political outcomes without breaking graft and corruption laws in doing so?

Gerald Jolly   February 9th, 2010 9:08 pm ET

Joe Biden, too bad the entire Senate and House of Reps, are not filled with folks just like you.

Joe is my second favorite American of all time, only surpassed by my greatest America Hero JFK.

My question for Joe is.

LacrosseMom(the real one)   February 9th, 2010 9:42 pm ET

@ A. Smith, Oregon...... is this really you? Or is a Con using your name?

Thousands of Americans are dying this year, when will the Democrats whom we elected get a backbone and pass Healthcare & Healthcare reform?

Navajo Joe   February 9th, 2010 11:11 pm ET

Question: Is it more viable to create new jobs or to recover the ones that were lost?

Navajo Joe   February 9th, 2010 11:22 pm ET

@ A. Smith

My banter toward you is simply because you go off in a direction quite unknown to all who read your responses. To stay on point is a policy qualifier, though not often used. I think you could contribute to this forum, but you blow a bigger whistle than our tympanic 'mem-brains' wish to withstand. Not music...just gibberish....only you can fix it proper verb...moderate. peace....of our minds, as well....thx

Navajo Joe   February 9th, 2010 11:27 pm ET

@ A.Smith

Question three... Separation of church and state...your question you would ask of a vice-president?

Steve Von Gunten   February 9th, 2010 11:55 pm ET

Dear Vice President Biden:

Tell me how is this administration going to achieve the goals of creating more jobs, balancing the Federal Budget, and stop wasting our tax dollars?

Another Joe from Scranton   February 10th, 2010 12:27 am ET

What really sucks is my wife had colon cancer. She went through chemo for 9 months and then had to have both breasts removed and then had reconstruction surgery. This just destroyed our credit. I then lost my job. Now I am finding I cannot land a job and it seems to me that with my low credit score, that is what is hurting me along with the fact nobody is hiring to get a job. I feel it is wrong that employers hold a credit score against you. My wife is doing well thanks to prayers to St Ann's church in West Scranton. I am sure you have been there Mr. Biden. I think St Ann needs to help you and President Obama with this enormous economy problem and health care problem we have. God bless you.

Navajo Joe   February 10th, 2010 1:02 am ET

@Another Joe from Scranton..

I sure hope the VP has read your blog Joe, the most viable situation presented here tonight. I kindly request all reading these blogs tonight invoke a line or two in support of Joe from the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton area of Pennsylvania. There is a lot of Joe's in this country, but here is one...Joe from Scranton...that is a real Joe with a real situation that is the epitome of how badly we are hurting in this country...LKL..if your watching or listening to your blogs help this man...please!!!! You have his e-mail address, we don't...He is suffering as much as the people of Haiti. I sent money to them via your show anthem re: Haiti..Get a word out for this man...Please!!!!!! Another Joe from Scranton...hope this helps...

Jim ..Ft. Worth...Texas   February 10th, 2010 1:18 am ET

@ Another Joe from Scranton.....

Hey Joe from Scranton, I back what Navajo Joe is doing there. Look America, we can help just by speaking up for this Joe. It's not right you're denied employment based on your credit skill as opposed to your abilities. Now here is something for Vice President Biden to lend credence to. You have a man in your hometown being unfairly treated by the banks and credit companies that our tax dollars bailed out. For your thanks you provided an avenue to inflict unnecessary pain on him by divulging his personal information to a potential employer. How ridiculous is that? Joe in Scranton...hope someone reads these...LKL...can you help?

Dodie   February 10th, 2010 2:04 am ET

@ Navajo Joe

Some of what people say on this forum often comes from other blogges as well as intensive reading, etc.. Case in point! A couple of days ago I made a couple of blogs relating to my concerns regarding Pharmaceutical exorbitant costs. The county in which I live and work can no longer supply psychotropic medications for the people in the area and are forcing employees to document patients looking bad/ill instead of a true balance so they will qualify for SSI; thus, the medications will be paid for by another government agency. This is very unethical and voiced my opinions with administration.

Because so many Americans are without health care, the Large Pharmaceutical exorbitant costs are affecting everyone! Something must be done about this. Who can afford $1.5 million dollars for Chemotherapy? People die every day due to this issue. I would hate to scare you with my last hospital bill.

Navajo Joe   February 10th, 2010 2:46 am ET

@ Dodie

I copy on the high cost of hospitalization, I have to say I am very lucky since the VA has taken care of mine for over 40 years. I am a bit ashamed for the entitlement after seeing so many without any. In regards to the psychotropic meds and their costs, there is a recent study that disclaims the benefits of antidepressants for the less than extreme cases of depression. Your well aware that marijuana is a psychotropic drug as well. I have been a proponent for advocacy of legalization of cannabis. Now there is a big dent in the unnecessary debt incurred on this country. We have the largest prison population per capita in the world. Marijuana use has been a large part of those incarcerations. Your governor is one the right track..Please lend him your support. Meanwhile, can you throw a blog to the 'Joe from Scranton....thx'

Dodie   February 10th, 2010 3:05 am ET

I was addressing medications like the following: Risperdal, Abilify, Seroquel, Depakote, Aricept, Lamictal, and Zyprexa.

As far as obtaining a job with bad credit. All I can tell you is we could be fired if found with bad credit. It really stinks!

Dodie   February 10th, 2010 3:16 am ET

cannabis should have been legalized back in the 1960s. Of course I am aware of the depression studies. If the person is malingering or has an axis II diagnosis, the meditations will not usually work.

Kat   February 10th, 2010 9:08 am ET

Hey Larry, love you. I have 2 questions......

Hello Joe Biden, I love you! How does it feel to be the vice pres with a group of self serving Publicans who choose to fold their arms and do nothing when the country so badly need help with healthcare and jobs?

The fact that no othe rpresident in history has ever been treated so terrible bad for trying to help Americans, do you think that it is because Pres O is a black bloke?

Kat   February 10th, 2010 9:12 am ET

JB, the Publicans have encourage Tea Partys and all their cousins to come out and make an uproar over health care which is badly needed in America.

Question is, why don't you lot round up people like those who we saw on DateLine a few weeks ago who had to watch their children die a slow and painful or unnecessarily painful death all because they thought that they were covered until their child need a transplant or had a heart attack?

You guys need to round up these people and let them come out and stand in Washington and DEMAND that the Publicans get up or shut up and help the President! When has become all about these horrible politicians? Who put them there? They already have the best insurance and if the Publicans really mean Americans any good as they would want us to think, why do they not then ask Pres O to give Americans the SAID insurance coverage that EVERY PUBLICAN HAS RIGHT NOW?

Kat   February 10th, 2010 9:14 am ET

The Publicans care about their mistresses more than they do Americans! Look at that old you-know-what who sat infront of a microphone talking about the married lobbyist that he was mesing with. They all make me want to sick with their lies, ugly racist mentality and hypocrisy!

Kat   February 10th, 2010 9:18 am ET

The Publicans get a lot of their campaign monies from insurance companies and that is why they will not stand with Pres O and have healthcare pass. For once Americans got soemone who really wants to help and they foolishly will not give it a chance!

The people fighting this and spreading rumours are already rich and have more than enough money to pay for medical help! Thou fools! Support the President on healthcare and make ya life easier!

Kat   February 10th, 2010 9:24 am ET

Neither the British nor Canadians have to wait for insurance companies to approve their medical treatments. I have German and Austrian friends who live here and fly back home for medical treatment. Why? There is a much better healthcare system.

Americans sit on their arse and complain and complain and when someone comes to help with change to make things better, they decide to stay with th eevil and then keep complaining. Why not just shut up??

Change is painful! If you have a terrible husband or wife, the change process is painful. If you have an addiction, the change process is painful. NOTHING comes easily!

Change in America for blacks was painful and still is! Many lost their lives fighting for change and even when it looks unachievable, they fought on! Obama, keep going because a lot of them still hate the fact that you are black!

Gerald Jolly   February 10th, 2010 11:16 am ET

@ KAT, great post, and right on the mark.

Please allow me to correct just one thing.

Who is more repugnant than the three EVILS.

Dodie   February 10th, 2010 11:54 am ET

@ Gerald

Ah, I just love Bushwacker! That is probably the best term I have seen for that person.

Yes, due to the CHENEY/bush era...

President Obama took the helm of a ship that has run a-muck with no fuel, filled with bullet holes, and sinking swiftly! He has filled many of those holes with American green backsl However, the holes far exceed the green backs. Therefore, we continue to sink slowly.......

Ted   February 10th, 2010 12:41 pm ET

Great blogs, however your complaints will be ignored in Washington unless you use more radical measures.

The french, italians and other nations go on the streets and march on the central of their political power and hundreds of thousands fill the streets!! In that number they cannot be overheard or ignored.

Take my word, the democratic party is just as corrupt as the REPUGNANTS are, (that is for you Gerald!), they care only for their coffers and it is filled with donations from big banks, big pharma, big insurance and big military suppliers. They are not about to cut off the flow of that green elixir. They had a full year to pass a health care plan and the repugnants did not have the numbers to stop them. Instead each democratic senator and congressman-woman wanted his/her cut before they agree to vote for it and the time ran out after the MA election. Now they do not have the absolute majority to pass anything.

Although President Obama promised a lot, I personally knew he will never deliver half of it, because he must depend on his party and the independents and they have a price. They care very little for their constituents, but only their own well being. The democrats lied to us before the 2006 election and they will lie again and again.

Our President means well, but he cannot get his party to deliver the goods and without them he is powerless. After watching him for a full year I find him charming, honest and well meaning, but he would be better of as a professor at Harvard giving great speaches. One has to be a bastard to get results in Washington, because nice guys always finish last!!

Friends, do you wanr results? March into the office of your congressman or senator and demand results. Tell him to move his ass or he will be out of a job. March on the congress and do it every day until those people wake up. That is the way to get what is due to you. Cpmplaining in LKL blogs will get you zilch!

Ted   February 10th, 2010 12:52 pm ET

One more! If you support the constant wars we wage on several nations, then you should not complain.
You cannot spend trillions on warfare and expect there is more money for other goodies you want, because there is none!
Force our leaders, (what leaders?), to stop all wars and bring our soldiers back home.
In Germany there are still 150,000 military members and why?
More in England, Italy, Spain, Greece, Turkey, Holland, Iceland, etc.
Why are those soldiers there, against whom do they defend us?

Dodie   February 10th, 2010 1:45 pm ET

@ Ted

Excellent blog as usual. You are right on target and exceptionally stated!

I completely agree with you, unfortunately! Just sitting in our homes complaining with the use of proper English denoting well educated and intelligent people will be of no avail. The Democratic Party does NOT care about Americans either. Both parties are only concerned about their well-being as you stated. Most unfortunate, as Americans do not seem willing to organize for a large demonstration in Washington DC other than the Tea Baggers and they are organizing for other causes with Sarah Palin their cheerleader. I am ready to take time off from work and fly to Washington; however, I do not know how many other Americans would or could even afford the flight there.

At this point in time, Radical means are necessary to make change. I do not see anything else short of threatening to take away Congress’s healthcare in order for Americans to receive healthcare.

Unfortunately for us, America is sinking and those at the top are grabbing everything they can so they will not sink with the rest of us. Even people who work for large corporations, making mega bucks are trying to squash those of us on Larry King Blog who want to stand up and say………. E N O U G H ……. Therefore keeping the proverbial bricks on our shoulders so we will quiet down!

Anytime someone makes the statement that we need to separate Religion and Mega Corporate involvement with government legislation, is immediately challenged! Americans were willing in the 1960s & 1970s to demonstrate long enough until the Vietnam War was finally ended. I truly believe if Americans did not demonstrate, the Vietnam War would have continued on for 10 more years killing another 57,000 Americans.

Our complacency will be our ruin!!!

Ted   February 10th, 2010 1:58 pm ET

@ Dodie

You are so correct, we did have guts 40 years ago to go on the streets!! Today we have people sitting on their asses and complain, but have no intention of taking the first step.
USA, the greatest nation on earth! Yes, 40 years ago, but not anymore.

Roberta   February 10th, 2010 2:59 pm ET

@ Dodie -you're talking about flying to Washington, taking time off work..When people are unemployed thro' no fault of there own, losing their homes this really is a fairy tale. You critcize the Tea Party–all members are not the same-they certainly were noticed last summer. Some of their complaints are warranted.

Dodie   February 10th, 2010 3:27 pm ET

@ Roberts

I had mentioned there are many people who do not have the ability to do what I had discussed whether it be from financial, medical stress or other burdens. This is exactly what certain people want. As long as we are unable to do anything, what would be the reason for change?

If you are in the position of losing your home, as you are unable to obtain employment, I am truly sorry! We are also looking at layoffs.

A. Smith, Oregon   February 10th, 2010 7:08 pm ET

Vice President Joe Biden, why haven't you been on the Congressional and Senatorial floors imploring the Democratic members to pass the health bill?

Vice President Joe Biden, why haven't you been repeatedly punching back at the reckless and outrageous slurs, smears and accusations by former vice president dick cheney?

Vice President Joe Biden, why haven't you been traveling across America, meeting with each of our US State Governors to determine how to best apply jobs programs. In short, find out what each State desperately needs in regards to how the Governor in that State see's it?

Vice President Joe Biden, why hasn't the photos and video's of the second man that helped the Nigerian Bomber thru Amsterdam's security gates and checkpoints been released? Why isn't that man on America's most wanted fugitive list at this time?

Vice President Joe Biden, more than 4,000 American citizens die EACH YEAR from having no health care, nor health insurance. Shouldn't true Homeland Security focus on the protection and saving the lives of American Citizens?

Joanne Wozniacki   February 10th, 2010 7:30 pm ET

I agree with you A. Smith on all you said. I'm so SICK of these selfish, pig-headed, evil republicans opposing the health bill with so many uninsured desperately waiting for it to pass. They're awful human beings and a disgrace to our country. They don't care how many people are hurting, sick, and have no hope without immediate affordable health insurance.

Would you enlighten my curiosity, do you enjoy writing those gibberish and senseless texts you post on LKL blogs?

The great majority of us bloggers try our best to voice our opinion in a way that other people understand what is on our mind.
Your blogs make no sense and you just take up place and irritate us.
I know you from past experience with you that you can write a proper text and you are not stupid.
Why do you act so?

Mike   February 14th, 2010 3:26 am ET

Republicans want a million troops sent to Afganistan, iraq. They want fresh invasions of Syria, Iran, North Korea, Yemen, and possibly a world war with Russia so as to show American might, etc- these are money "well-spent" but healthcare for all Americans, job creation stimulus, revamping the economy, etc amounts to wasteful spending that drives up the deficit? Who is fooling whom? And if Americans "sent" the message from Massachussets Senate election then too bad!!

Joanne Wozniacki   February 14th, 2010 5:04 am ET

Absolutely correct Mike. The republicans never want anything that helps the middle class or lower. They don't care who's struggling, how many can't afford healthcare at today's costs, how many are jobless, nor how many are losing their homes. They also don't care how many senior citizens have to choose between the medication they need or food on their tables. They are liars, they are selfish, and they only care about money above and before human beings. They are disgrace to this country. You can be sure the opponents to healthcare reform have health care, along with their families and the hell with everybody else. If they were sincere about want an alternative health care plan, they would have come up with something workable. All they want to do is delay and kill any healthcare reform, and they don't care if sick people with no insurance die without it.

Kudos to Vice President Joe Biden for punching back at the continuous pundits from former vp Dick Cheney. Dick Cheney's repeated attempts to rewrite the horrific history of the Bush-Cheney administration won't fly if those in the loop such as Vice President Joe Biden keep pointing out the falacys and utter falsehoods being uttered continously by Dick Cheney as Cheney crawls out of his bunker to lob rocks at the Obama-Biden administration.

I'm pleased and happy that Vice President Joe Biden has decided to punch back at former vp Dick Cheney and Cheney's attempts to rewrite his secretive and down in the bunker sordid history of his own administration.

Keep up the blows and punches Vice President Joe Biden, beat him down without mercy. Whenever former vp Cheney exits his bunker for yet another crass and highly negative comment on national security, blast him, and pound him over and over again!

Sorry Leslie, some of us are too wrapped up in job losses, no health insurance, losing homes, and the decline of the Middle Class and Lower Class in America. We're also focusing on the right wing idiots who don't want "change" nor healthcare reform, nor give a hoot about their less fortunate fellow Americans. That doesn't leave much time or energy to focus on pictures of Mars and what's going on in other parts of the world. It's exhausting, disappointing, and sickening.

If the terrorists from Guantanamo to be trialed in New York were sent to prison in New York at the time they were arrested or captured; and now being trialed in New York, will anybody would have say no or demonstrate against it? I support Maher; President Obama needs to be tough if he wants to be know and remembered as a true American President.
