Larry, we are a military family both my husband and I.

When are people going to wake up and see that we are at War!

This guy Hasan is a Terrorist through and through.

Everyone is afraid to profile. Well we should! It is the Muslims that are killing our people overseas and now in the US.

Everyone is so worried about stepping on someones toes because of their faith that they are overlooking the big picture, we are at War.

War is not nice, it is not fair, it is War.

During the Japanese War everyone in the US that was Japanese was put in internment camps because they did not know who was good or bad.

We need to all be aware that when people are at War you need to take precautions and step up awareness of security and safety.

These things have been sorely overlooked.

All of us at the base think that there are a lot more Hasan's in the US just waiting for a phone call or email to attack when the time is right and throw us all in a spin. If we don't get a handle on this immediately we will not win the War.

This guy wasn't someone that just flipped out. He was a cold calculating killer just waiting for time to strike.

vicky   November 9th, 2009 10:18 pm ET

How he left the country in 2002 ?Who connected to Al Qaida

After 8 years we couldn’t destroy Al Qaida

Now republicans blame this administration what joke

Major and DC Sniper for them no excuse

But I don’t believe in death penalty because what happened in Taxes ( House fire)

Amelia   November 9th, 2009 10:23 pm ET

I was living in the MD area when the snipper was killing innocent people for no reason at all. we were terrified on a daily basis. he can't be human to be able to terify so many innocent people. the victims all had families that loved them very much and he has left a huge hole in their lives. None of those victimes deserved to die, none of them. I'm glad that his exucution didn't drag on for years and years.

Kevin   November 9th, 2009 10:24 pm ET

I have been waiting to see the Larry King Live show about John Muhammad. WTH.... It is past 20 minutes into the show and we just went to commercial. I don't care to hear about Hassan and that the FBI knew about his existance since December 2008 or that he acted alone. I heard it all before on Campell Brown. NOT NEW INFORMATION that is of dire need to know. People want to know why I get sick and tired of watching the news. Keep with your commitments to your programming schedule.

Bakul Parikh   November 9th, 2009 10:31 pm ET

I am wondering what the nurses treating Nidal Hassn feel? How do they feel treating a person who has committed such a bad act?
Regards,
Bakul

David   November 9th, 2009 10:40 pm ET

How ironic that Virginia is going to kill a man who became terribly disturbed as a result of his war experience, only a few days after Ft. Hood suffers at the hands of a man also terribly disturbed as a result of war experiences. Will America be smart enough to make some simple logical connections here?

curie   November 9th, 2009 10:48 pm ET

Larry, i want to extend my deepest condolence to all . but this guy came back from a war no one try to help him.

LB   November 9th, 2009 10:50 pm ET

@David, Are you for real? Hasan has never been to the war zone and a lot of guys have gone to war, but have not committed the types of crimes Muhammad and Hasan committed.

Why should they get a pass?

PTSD   November 9th, 2009 10:52 pm ET

As a former gulf war veteran now suffering from PTSD, i feel sorry that John Mohamed did not seek prayer when all else had failed. i went thru two divorces myself, i had homicidal thoughts, I LOST TOUCH WITH SOME OF MY KIDS , and I was not given any help by the government that transformed a sweet young man like me to a monster. but for God, I could have been in the same predicament like John Mohamed or even major Hassan, but God kept me and I am grateful.

bob`   November 9th, 2009 10:53 pm ET

you do realize larry is the worst interviewer ever? ted koppel or david letterman even would have done such a better job interviewing the dc sniper's ex-wives!!! larry's horrible – and keeps pointing his finger at the camera! that's rude. i've watched the dude for years cause he always gets great guests but blows it every night!! how many times is he going to ask people how they feel????? get to the meat of the story larry!!!!!!!!

JMJ   November 9th, 2009 10:54 pm ET

All of the Montgomery County killings happened within 5 miles or less from our home, my son's school. One was at a gas station next door to my neighborhood Safeway. The snipers terrorized the metropolitan area. One of the worst things–in addition to the loss of lives and injuries–was the fact that our children were terrorized. Muhammed and Malvo affirmatively targeted and shot a child at a school; one of their communications said something to the effect that "Your children are not safe." The morning Conrad Johnson was shot was awful. It mean the sniper(s) was back in Montgomery County (after moving around the area). Our fear ramped back up.

My son was a senior in high school when this happened. Ms. Rivera was killed a few blocks from his high school. He is now 24; he said that reading today's articles, reading the timeline and about the victims brought back the anxiety that he felt back then.

Muhammed destroyed so many people. He has given his children an unbelieveable burden to live with. I wish the ex-Mrs. Muhammed every thing she needs to attend to their needs. For everyone who lost a loved one or who was injured by their bullets, I wish you peace and healing and relief.

charmaine green   November 9th, 2009 10:54 pm ET

I lived in Silver Spring, MD when the DC snipper was on the loose. I remember this as if it was yesterday. This is the worst month that I had ever lived. My roommate and I were litterally prisoners in our home and Aboslutely scared for our lives....... Im sorry for the families that lost their loved ones...!! god bless....

Don   November 9th, 2009 10:59 pm ET

What I find reprehensible is the absolute exploitation of this man's imminent demise by his ex-wife Mildred. Her shameless book plugging from one talk show to the next tells more her hypocritical desire to be in the spotlight rather than her purported disdain of the same media that seeks to exploit her children. What is the purpose of this media attention to her anyway? Do you Larry and others hope to gain some insight into the mentally of this man? Well..I haven't heard anything more than Mildred plugging her book....and now it seems Carol also. I am a opponent of the death penalty and of the profitteers that seek riches from the carcasses of the condemned.
If this man is put to death I look forward to Carol,Mildred and their books going away for good.

Marisella Ortiz-Lowe   November 9th, 2009 11:06 pm ET

All my respect to you, Marisella Ortiz-Lowe

Dodie ~ California   November 9th, 2009 11:10 pm ET

So everyone in the Military knew Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan troubles. Even more credence that both base commanders need to be relieved of their commission!

Charlie   November 9th, 2009 11:11 pm ET

The DC sniper's both of them were cowards and not human, pure evil. They caused so much fear and death. They have taken too long to execute this scum of the earth good riddons.

angela   November 9th, 2009 11:14 pm ET

JO Lee, your comments are painfully true, we have not learned from history, it will beat us to a pulp. I am about as liberal as you can get, cant even kill a fly and even I know you are saying is true. after 911, we needed to deport them all, each and everyone and lock the door. Problem humanely solved, keep off our shores. Oh I wish we could just wave a wand and make them all go away, I wish wish wish. a peaceful solution, bye bye.

Charlie   November 9th, 2009 11:15 pm ET

The United States needs to take a good look in the mirror hello wake up this Hasan is pure evil and we will see at the end what he was connected to. He should be ashamed of himself for this coward act good riddons.

angela   November 9th, 2009 11:25 pm ET

Personally, I hope somebody pulls the plug on this monster. Think of all the money that will be spent on his healthcare that could go to treat poor people that need it. Money is money and what the gov wastes putting him back together could have been spent somewhere else. But he is smart, smarter than many, he has fooled and will continue to fool, he can play so many cards it isnt even funny. He seems to be getting sympathy. And oh yes, please lets start firing those who believed in this trickey monster, make em pay, stupid US gov, they need some Windex for their crystall balls.

Dodie ~ California   November 9th, 2009 11:26 pm ET

@ angela

We just need to be very careful who we label a terrorist.

Do we have sleepers here? I am sure we do. Terrorists usually try to take out hundreds of people using bombs. That is their signature usually!

You need to remember when you enter another country trying to kill a certain group of people, you often take out a lot of innocent people. CCTV, Chinese TV did a report with the people of Afghan. It was interesting to see how they want us out, they want the Taliban out. They want everyone out. It reminds me of the Vietnam war. Fareed did a report this weekend on CNN in which he asked heads or x heads of several countries including Russia. All said they would recommend withdrawal.

Can you imagine.. lets say China is coming over here and end up killing your family by accident as they thought a Chinese terrorist was hiding in your home. How would you feel? This is what we did in Iraq and this is what we are doing in Afghanistan.

The military personnel do NOT have all the truth. Trust me, I know!!! They only think they have all the information. That is what they are lead to believe!

Terry, TX   November 9th, 2009 11:50 pm ET

We have been infiltrated by Islamic Terrorists....in our schools, on our blogs, in our universities, in Mosques and private Muslim schools. We just had 50 brave Americans gunned down with 13 assassinated....they say THE PIG may be paralyzed....well I hope they push Islamic Terrorist Pyschopath's wheelchair right up to the death chamber. Being politically correct is killing Americans...when a religion kills and massacres.... there should be no mercy.

Why has CNN erased the story practically from their homepage? Why?

Terry, TX   November 9th, 2009 11:53 pm ET

Oh....off message.....the DC Sniper.....may he fry in hell.....why.... he massacred 10 innocent people.....no mercy....no humanity for him.... lights out for this pig.

Dodie ~ California   November 10th, 2009 12:06 am ET

@ Terry, TX

We need to see what the FBI investigation shows before we start pointing our fingers. We have NO proof one way or another. This is how lynch mobs get started. This is not about being politically correct, this is about waiting until we gather all the information.

Yes, this major needs to be accountable for all his actions! There are no excuses. I also say, no one should ever get a mental insanity deal for murder, rape or other horrific crimes! We all need to be responsible for our behaviors.

O.H.   November 10th, 2009 12:21 am ET

Don't believe in death penalty. It is a way of justifying murder. The 10 Commandments are VERY clear. And frankly, in my personal opinion, it would be much more painful to spend the rest of life roting in prison, that's what he deserves ! And maybe spending all that time in jail will make him suffer and bring him to his knees in pain of regrets.

What Would Jesus Do ? One cannot be a Christian and be OK with the death penalty, simply impossible !

Tony   November 10th, 2009 2:10 am ET

Hi Larry
I enjoy vieing your show because you get to the point and expose the truth. Having said that I would like to see you interview the islamists which preached hate against America on the sidewalks of New York and how they love Bin Laden for attacking America just after the attack at Fort Hood. Please expose these jokers to the American public because our enimies are right here living amongst us. I promise you if I heard preaching of that kind on the streets of Oklahoma I would run not walk and kick the crap out of them thuroghly. Please remember we are not at war over seas we are at war here at home as well.

jackie   November 10th, 2009 4:41 am ET

Can't wait for larry to retire.

He reads his questions and it takes him f-o-r-e-v-e-r to as even one simple question.
Then he makes the grossest noises, like he is adjusting his dentures or something.

Someone get him some mentodent or something so he's not constantly flapping his gums or losing his teeth or whatever it is he is doing making all those GROSS smacking noises.

I just can't watch/listen to him anymore. I would like to hear some of the more interesting topics, but just can't - he's sooooo GROSS!!

And monotone and monotonous and reading questions like he's just learning to read and is in first grade. I have ALOT of patience for first-graders learning to read, but not an old man who needs to step aside and let someone like Wonderful Anderson Cooper (NOT wolfe! he's just as bad, if not worse) do the job now.
Thank You!!

Patrick from BâIe   November 10th, 2009 9:16 am ET

Mankind is living at a time when the vast majority no longer recognize or understand their spiritual origins or their destiny. This situation will not last forever. When this epoch is over, men will come to realize that they have no prowess, authority, or responsibility, out of whatever earth-born, materialistic egotism, they argue forthwith to order and subsequently execute a fellow human being. The consequences, especially in this epoch of individual freedom and responsibility, are not worth even the argument in favor of such acts, let alone the actual willfully taking a human life. Unfortunately consequent man, more often than not, learns the most important lessons through his most serious mistakes, and this is a big one, rather than through his knowledge, awareness and wisdom.

Terry, TX   November 10th, 2009 9:48 am ET

@Dodie ~ California.....the facts are in on Hasan.....the witnesses are speaking....the connection with other Islamic Psychopaths made.... you are welcomed to keep the political correctness all you want....his words of God is great.....his emails and contacts....he just needs the death chamber....lights out.

Janice Mahon   November 10th, 2009 9:51 am ET

I live in central Maryland and the horror and the fear that we went through because of these two murderers cannot be described. I live around eight miles from Bowie, Maryland where they struck. One day I went to a local gas station to fill up, and we were all ducking down, filling up our cars, not knowing whether they would be there ready to shoot.

I await the execution with sadness for the victims' families, but you can be sure, I am happy that this freak killer will go to his just rewards. Thank God for the State of Virginia to go with this execution, unlike California where he would remain on death row for over 20 years.

As I said, living in America and being tortured on a daily basis by this low life was like going through a terrorist attack. You would have to live it to really see what we went through.

Asnell   November 10th, 2009 11:13 am ET

I think he does deserve the death penalty. What he did was just uncalled for. I mean what was his reason for killing all those people?
I dont care if he pleads insanity or what; in the end he needs to be in the chair, in the gas chamber, or injected. And they shouldnt wait years to do it.

David   November 10th, 2009 11:20 am ET

LB, yup, I'm for real. I never said Hasan went to war. I said he was terribly distrubed as a result of war experiences; in his case it would have been listening to them over and over again from his patients. Furthermore, I would argue that his repeated exposure, albeit vicariously, could be more traumatic than those who experienced one or more tours of duty.

Vallary   November 10th, 2009 11:40 am ET

Yes, I do think he should be put to death. What he did was awful and he is getting cleaner and change to say good bye to his loves ones. Instead of being shot like a dog and no change of living or saying good bye. I hate it has taken 8 years to give him three meals a day and health care.

Dodie ~ California   November 10th, 2009 1:11 pm ET

@ David

Listening to others' trauma would not create PTSD! We are trained for it. This seems to be possibly a personal rage against the military for whatever reason. And, as much as I hate to say this, there are some professionals in this field who are unstable. That is why they gravitated to this field.

As far as responsibility. I completely agree. I never liked the idea of people getting off a charge for being "menatlly ill" It has been used to often to alleviate people from being responsible for their actions and behaviors. I deal with mentally ill people on a daily basis, and they know what they are doing. If they don't, then they would be 5150!! (hospitalized)

We may never know the cause behind this horriffic situation. I will wait for the FBI investigation to see what they turn up!

Dodie ~ California   November 10th, 2009 1:13 pm ET

@ Terry, TX

We all need to wait for the FBI investigative conclusions!

Dodie ~ California   November 10th, 2009 1:19 pm ET

@ Amelia

That must have been very traumatic for you. Never knowing if or when someone migh shoot at you!

Tina   November 10th, 2009 3:36 pm ET

Is MGM filling for bankcropcy?

Tess   November 10th, 2009 4:43 pm ET

NO QUESTION ABOUT IT. I WATCHED WHEN THERE WERE SHOOTINGS AND WHEN THE POLICE WERE LOOKING FOR THEM. TO USE A BOY AND INNOCENT PEOPLE KILLED DESERVES IT.
