Rihanna breaks silence about Chris Brown

artrihannagramgiNine months after she was assaulted by Chris Brown, Rihanna finally opens up about the night that left her bruised and bloody.

"This happened to me. ... It can happen to anyone," the singer, 21, tells Diane Sawyer in an interview airing Thursday on Good Morning America and on 20/20 on Friday.

Rihanna says it was particularly difficult because of the special place Brown held in her heart: "He was definitely my first big love."

Both singers have worked to move on. Brown is serving a community labor sentence in Virginia and working on new music for an album titled Graffiti that will drop Dec. 15. Rihanna is shaking things up with her edgy fashion and releasing her fourth album, Rated R, on Nov. 23. The album's first single "Russian Roulette" debuted last week.

Rihanna appears to have been the victim of a vicious and violent attack and assault.

Chris Brown should have received a Prison Sentence. His mere slap on the wrist sends the wrong signal to men that treat women with such brutality. And the injustice of this sentence is very likely to enable Chris Brown to brutalize another women in the future.

Chris Brown should have gone to Prison

What Brown did was wrong. But i don't think we should condemn him to death, just yet. Brown, if you're listening you need clean up your act, now that you're cut some slack. And It looks like you have a lifetime to convince the world that you're not a lady hitter but actually a gentlemen like in the songs you sing. Practice what you preach brother!!!!

Rihanna, if you hear me, I'm very sorry for what happened to you. But forgive, move on and stay alert. If you dwell on the past, it will affect your future negatively. I'm glad you have you're projects going on

I don't even know what Rihanna was doing with that loser Chris anyways........She is too pretty and got too many things going for her.........

Chris claims that was the first time, but seriously Chris it's like that saying once a cheater always a cheater......... Once a beater always a beater......

Rihanna you are to good for that idiot..... You deserve someone that is going to love you and not put their hands on you..... Forgive and FORGET....

Look Chris who got the last laugh..........Rihanna.........
All the way to the bank making her millions while you are on the side of the road picking up garbage..... It shouldn't be too hard anyways... Afterall you are trash........

It's good to see she's able to talk about it. That's healing and moving on...
