I don't call them ghosts. They are Spirits (energy) and are trapped between them Earthbound. It's sad, because many don't know they are dead, and are not looking for the Light to go into. You must be sensitive enough to see or feel their energy. I've seen and felt their presence many times. I would tell them to ask God for the Light, and to go into that Light.....then there would be no more haunted houses....would there?

Rose   October 30th, 2009 4:44 pm ET

It's interesting that a major explanation of what ghosts are, revolve around the dead being unaware or unhappy with their now deceased status. Has anyone considered that we, the living, are projecting our own psychological needs upon these so-called ghosts?

The is especially noticable in Western culture, where individualism is valued greatly. The ghost has an issue, something unresolved. The ghost displays forms of neurosis and acts up or "haunts". The ghost is trying to reach out for understanding but is not generally successful. It cannot communicate properly. The ghost may be trapped with its circumstances, unable to move forward into the "light" – the great panacea. It may be in denial. The spirit requires the assistance of an understanding person to free/help it.

Usually upon some great revelation does the ghost meet its goal. It may be something to do with a crime against it, or lack of love or some manner of suffering. Finally or hopefully, the ghosts self-actualizes and is free (hello Maslow's hierarchy). If not, watch out for scary results! This is just my take on a constant theme about ghosts!

Dodie ~ California   October 30th, 2009 5:30 pm ET

@ Rose

Besides your witty and knowledgeable blogs, you speak with a lot of clinical terminology. I suspect you are in the field! I find your blogs very interesting! I completely agree with your take on this subject.

Rose   October 30th, 2009 6:00 pm ET

Thanks Dodie: Nope. Not in the field but I read a lot. My father was a lawyer so I was raised to question situations, not accept what may be "obvious" and look for evidence past the usual since I was a very young. Whenever any belief is held or some norm is established, just go back a few steps (historically, politically or socially) from what is established a number of truths will begin to unravel.

For example, the great monotheistic religions that dominate great parts of the world all have their origins within a very limited geographical area in the middle east (Judaism, Christianity and Islam). Why is that? God's preference for prophets seem to be all semites, even "his son". What about the rest of the world? Does this have more to do with political conquests and expansions of the winners in history, Constantine's conversion to Christianity, or the "truth in religion"? Anyways, off the ghost topic here – except for the most famous one – the Holy Ghost.

ckelly   October 30th, 2009 6:22 pm ET

The more we know the more we realize what we don't know.

All world religions deal with the "mysteries and mysticism". All pagan religions embrace the unknown or that which is not of the material world. Scholars like Carl Jung recognized the depths of the unconscious and man's innate Spirit. The psyche-the intangible human element. Modern physics considers all possibilities...

Its a wonderful, wonderful world. All that is seen and unseen-all the possibilities.....Materialism and science's evolution away from its own dogma, will give way to better explanations or "descriptions" for the spiritual experience.

You better know what you are doing when you delve into this, its not entertainment.

Dodie ~ California   October 30th, 2009 9:06 pm ET

Older TVs have what is called a fly back transformer which is like a capacitor. It holds electricity and current for YEARS. Just ask any old TV tech. You can be killed by touching one of these if not grounded properly even after years of non use.

jean   October 30th, 2009 9:09 pm ET

I do believe in ghosts. When I was 4, my father passed away. I don't remember when, but soon after his passing, I remember seeing him with this white light around him, and him telling me everything was alright. Still, 17 years later that is the most vivid image I have of him, and even though I was very young when it happened I know it wasn't a dream or imagination, it was real.

Nancy   October 30th, 2009 9:10 pm ET

I absolutely believe in ghosts – no doubt there is a process where spirits stay or simply get stuck – and linger with the living for a period of time. I believe a soul stays around to finish things that still need their help – when it is resolved they move on.

Can my dog sense a ghost in the house?

michael armstrong sr.   October 30th, 2009 9:10 pm ET

Ah, a lawyer's daughter. Yes, I completely understand the need for further investigation. Very pragmatic! It is obvious, you are well read. Formal education does not make one intelligent. Reading helps to create wisdom!

ken   October 30th, 2009 9:11 pm ET

ghosts are demonic, The spirits these mediums are connecting with are demonic. These mediums need deliverance.

There is power in the blood of Yeshua.

Jaamel   October 30th, 2009 9:12 pm ET

Hello Larry, I am a Muslim American, and even in our holy books it talks about a species of free willed intelligent being called the jinn(demons) that dwell on the earth along side with mankind, they typically look like shadows either with red, or yellow eyes and can shape shift, these sprits sometimes come to us in the form of humans, and Some of these spirits can be referred to as ghosts and spooks, you usually can tell a jinn from an angel by looking at the eyes as the jinn have a mystical look in there eyes, while angels have a calm stern look on there face, I can talk from personal experience that I’ve had many encounters in my life and yes they do exist. There is some scientifically physics that there are more dimensions then just our own, an example of this is on the atomic level, scientist have found that electrons appear and disappear from sight, and scientist can only explain this as the existence of parallel universes.

Nancy inWV   October 30th, 2009 9:12 pm ET

Hi from West Virginia. While I was a student at VCU in Richmond, Virginia, I lived in an old house in the Fan district. One night – after returning home, as I opened the front door, my room mate and I saw a ghost at the end of the hall, going through a door. It was grayish and transparent. That house was always cold, even on the hottest of hot days in Richmond. Still gives me the creeps thinking about living there. I moved out post-haste.

When did you hear that John Edwards was a Fraud?

Kris - Sarasota, FL   October 30th, 2009 9:13 pm ET

I would normally be skeptical about anything; however, I have experienced strange happenings. Once in a hospital my brother and I were awakened by all the lights in his hospital room, including the bathroom, turning on and off in the middle of the night. They would rotate in a pattern for a long time until we called the nurse. She then called the engineer. There was no explanation. Other things have happened...

Karin   October 30th, 2009 9:13 pm ET

We are going to have our house investigated for spirits...happy spirits so far...

yaya   October 30th, 2009 9:13 pm ET

Dandy   October 30th, 2009 9:13 pm ET

yes i do believe in them but can they communicate with us?

Mike   October 30th, 2009 9:14 pm ET

I would challenge any ghost, spirit, energy or the like to smite me. They don't exist Larry.

Mary G   October 30th, 2009 9:14 pm ET

I was 5 years old and on a house hunting trip with my family. We were looking at a 100 year old house to rent – old victorian, perfect for a growing family, and I was looking through the front door glass into the foyer and saw 4 women sitting at a table playing cards. No one else seemed to notice and I thought we were awfully rude to be spying on some people living in the house! I was very shy and said nothing – and never told anyone until I was an adult what I saw. We lived in the house for 9 years and my sisters always claimed to hear bumps in the night, but I never saw the women again...Do you think "ghosts" only show themselves to certain people? I will always be sure of what I saw.

Dodie ~ California   October 30th, 2009 9:14 pm ET

That medium's speech is very 'pressured'. quite unusual...

paula   October 30th, 2009 9:14 pm ET

Hi Larry, Two interesting things have happen to me. I went to my husband nephews funeral. He was 19 and died in a car accident. There were three candles and all three looked like they jumped right out of their holders all at the same time and landed on the floor with no one near them. I got all goosebumps when I saw it happen! Also twice now my house lights kept going on and off by themselves when we came come from my in-laws funerals. All of my family saw this happen. It never has happed since then.

Luis Villaona   October 30th, 2009 9:14 pm ET

I truly believe in ghosts, I will say that I have my own one. All my family is in the DominicanRepublic, and some times I feel someone getting in my bed and tells me that do not worry that is my sister. And that has happened more than once. I have more other stories.

Phil   October 30th, 2009 9:14 pm ET

What about sleep paralasys?

Gisela   October 30th, 2009 9:15 pm ET

Why is it that children are
more prone to see the dead? After a family member dies nieces and nephews always claim to see that relative and they are always asking for something to drink bc they are thirsty....

sylvia   October 30th, 2009 9:15 pm ET

My 24 year old son was murdered on 10/13/06 and everyone who knew him know that his favorite past time was being on the telephone. For 6 months after his death I had problems with my phone. It always said line in use but no one was on the phone.

Choly, Euless, Texas   October 30th, 2009 9:16 pm ET

Ghosts do not exist.
Being dead is just like sleeping without dreaming; it is a state of total nothingness.

Candace from Castro Valley Ca   October 30th, 2009 9:16 pm ET

Anyone who does not believe that here is a spiritual realm of the afterlife is in denial.....the human realm is not all there is...

@ Ken. How can you tell them from some who is psychotic??

@Pam. I am not surprised.

Hi Larry, I don't really know what this is that I found on Google earth. But if some of your guest or viewers woul go to google earth and type in 1252 Herndon Dairy rd Aiken,South carolina, then look down at the ground and see this red light then look closely at the faces in the woods, then look above at that bright light coming through the trees. I think either these are aliens or somehthing I've never seen before but take a look for yourselves.

I watch Ghost Hunters religiously, The reason I watch Jay and Grant is they debunk where possible and what is left analyze. That is not the norm for these type shows. My question is what are the experiences that led the two of them to go into this field. They have eluded to a reason but never elaborated.

Walter dos Santos   October 30th, 2009 9:17 pm ET

I believe that some people more than others are able to see things.
I write my dreams and they became reality I ask my friends if they are able to dream and it became reality? and they say no.´

I have had a poltergeist in my home. It went on for months, after my roommate and I had gone to bed, the kitchen cabinets would open and slam, over and over... for months, the two of us thought that the other was midnight snacking. One day I asked her about it, and she said she thought it was me up in the kitchen getting a snack at night! It went on for a while, then I could see them in the mirror coming down my hall to my bedroom and I told them to stop slamming things and to leave us alone, and they flew into the ceiling fan and disappeared. We never heard them again. This is absolutely a true story, have only told two people about it before now. I researched and determined they were poltergeist as they seemed to just be mischevious and not out to harm us.

Several years ago I visited an old cemetary on Port Townsend, WA where several Navel officers where buried from the late 1700's. When my family pulled up there were 3 people inside the fence walking around (a family...male, female and child) once we walked inside the fence the family disappeared....there was only one way in and they had to pass us on there way out....they vanished!

I lived for a short time in a home in Mattapoisett, Massachusetts that was built in the early 1800's from the components of a home torn down in Chicago. My family and I experienced many odd things that we came to attribute to some poltregeist/ghost in the home. huge boulders would appear in the basement, windows would open and close, phone rings from the carraige house to the main house when no-one was there, banging where there were no pipes etc. Even a sighting in the kitchen with the accompanying sweet smell and chill. Local townspeople would often greet us by asking how the house was treating us rather that how are you?, etc. Would have loved to have known the story there!

During time I spent in the Navy, the two ships I served on had bery bad boiler explosions which killed sailors on the ship.

There was several times that when working in the engineering spaces of the the ship you would hear or see something that could not be explained. I have had fellow shipmates who did not believe in ghosts, but did see one on the ship and were totally scared and did not want to go back into the engineering space alone.

I also worked at a Correctional facility in Missouri where there was an inmate that died in a coal crusher accident. several staff members who worked at this powerhouse has seen a figure passing or had various things happen that could not be explained.
Such as doors closing on their own own, many times when your in the presence of these sitings you wll get a very strange cold feeling and hair on neck and arm will stand up.

Yes there are ghosts out there!!!

My mother passed when I was 7. 40 years later this year my father passed the saturday before memorial day. My family had a house boat in New mexico where we would go on weekends and fish. this was when my mother was alive. Happy times for our family. two days before my father passed he was just sleeping and I was sitting with him and I told him that all the friends that went fishing with our family and my mom and my brother who was killed in Vietnam 2 years after my mother passed would be waiting for him to have a Big fishing party. THe next afternoon I was given a sign that they were here to get him. This was the ONLY time I had Ever seen this bumper sticker that said Ya'll Come on! Lets go fishing at Lake Conchas North Dock. That Is the Place where we keep our Houseboat. My dad passed the next morning. My dad had sold that houseboat the day my mother passed. They ARE Real! I have had many experiences in my 48 years of life. There IS life after death. I am a Sensitive and God allows me and my children to catch what we call glimpses. My children are now 20 and 24 years old. We believe TOTALY and have the UPMOST respect for ALL your guests.

Where do the ghosts of good people go as opposed to the ghosts of bad people?

Susan   October 30th, 2009 9:19 pm ET

My sister and I both saw two large dogs, could have been doberman's. They were like transparent.. The dogs walked right in front of us coming out from one wall and into another wall. We both screamed after it happened. We knew what we both saw. It was at a place called Shamrock in Florida in the late 1960's. My parents told us we were just tired, parents...

michelle   October 30th, 2009 9:19 pm ET

I have many experiences ...One was when my father was dieing, he was at home in his room, and we had a monitor in the room so we could hear him. my mom and sister and her husband were in the kitchen eating dinner when we hear many voices.. I turned to my sister and said did u leave the radio on in there, she said nope.. I went in to check and no radio on .. went back to the table and we hear the voices again and it sounded like a lot of people . similar to a party when people are milling around.. So I figured that all the family that passed away had come to get my dad and bring him home.. he died shortly after this happened.

I have had more experiences also .. so yes I do believe ...!!

On Nov. 22, 1986 my son was killed by a drunk driver about a 1/2 mile from my home. 2 years later around 3am I heard the handle of my husbands dresser ratteling at the foot of my bed it woke me up I saw a dark shadow at the foot of the bed the voice of my son said it's ok mom I just wanted to let you know that I'm alright. I sat streight up in bed and he was gone. It was a terrible accident I do have to say that I felt so much better after that. Since than we have had numerious things happen thigs that have been lost just suddenly appear. My son was 30, at the time he worked as a television producer his career was just taking off, he deffinately was not ready to leave this world so soon

I was watching a lady in Anaheim, California. I had the night shift, my client told me not to put out the hall light. As she slept she would talk and make noises as if she was afraid. The next night I worked, I asked her fefore she went to sleep why are you talking and making noises, she said her mother died a couple of years ago in the appartment. She comes to me and tells me to come with her. It is a better place. My lady had Parkinsons, she was in a lot of torment. After she went to sleep I sat back in the living room and heard her start again, ohhh no no. I went in to check her out and nothing she was sleeping. I sat back down and closed my eyes within 2 seconds something was over my whole body, tingling almost like a buzzing that you could feel. I was petrified, I keep my eyes closed and grabbed my Jesus medal and said God protect me, over and over again. It seemed like it lasted forever, but when it was over, I felt a peace, like maybe her mom was telling me I was doing a good job taking care of her daughter. I get lots of feelings if they are bad I usually don't do them. Thanks

Pam   October 30th, 2009 9:22 pm ET

Brie Z   October 30th, 2009 9:23 pm ET

About two weeks ago I had to write a memoir for a college class, so I decided to write about my first dog who died almost two years ago. While I was writing it, I kept crying at certain points off and on because I missed him obviously. The plastic part on my window shade slid back and forth for a few seconds, so I thought nothing of it. Then only the light I was sitting next to flickered once or twice, then a few minutes later it did it again.. both times I was crying. Nothing like that has ever happened to me in nineteen years. I do believe it was my dog Ernie just letting me know he was still there, and I was really comforted by that.

They are just kid memories – but when I was around eight or nine, I woke up one night to a indent in my bed like someone was sitting there next to me. It creeped me out for years! And my mother told me once when I was really young (three or so) I woke up when day and told my grandma talked to me. But my grandma died around ten years before I was born. I can still picture myself in my crib and her talking to me, but that may be just a made-up image i've carried for so long. I do remember dreams of when I was four and five though up till now.

Another one that may not be so ghostly – my aunt had a son Joseph, and they were both very religious. When he was three or so, she was dressing him one day and he told her that he knew he wouldn't be with her very long, but when God showed him who his mother would be, he thought she was so beautiful and kind he had to meet her. He was hit and killed by a drunk driver when he was twenty one in 1996.

michelle psychic/medium   October 30th, 2009 9:25 pm ET

those of you that have not ever seen or been touched in some way by those that have crossed over to the other side are for real. as far as your comments go ken and chickensinga both of you are severly misinformed. i can tell you that the spirit world is very much true and is very very much intigrated with our present lives. i can assure you that the most public of mediums such as John Edward, Chip Coffey, Lorainne Warren etc. are well educated and not frauds! fear is a very powerful negative manner to control others and not through faith. i have a very close relationship with God and always pray to my father and savior. maybe you should not be so closed minded and accept God's people as equals! do wonderful work. i look forward to seeing you next month! God bless all of you for the great information and evidence you have provided to so many people!

Jody - Austin   October 30th, 2009 9:25 pm ET

I know there are ghosts from personal experience. When my daughter was about 13, we moved into a house that was haunted by the son of the former owners. I would find her sitting up in the middle of the night in the living room with all lights on, petrified to go back into her room. Of course, like any mother would be, I was convinced that she just needed to be reassured that there were no such things. She insisted that something was moving things around on her desk and she would feel pressure on top of her when she lay down some nights. She was absolutely freaked out. This went on for a year or so until a friend of mine asked me if anyone had died in the house. As it turned out, the teenage son of the previous owners did. My friend determined that we needed to talk to him and let him know where his parents were. My friend, my daughter and I sat together in the room and calmly told him that he was dead and could either move towards the light or move to his parents house. We gave him the address. My daughter never had a problem again. And I do believe her experience was very real.

Leslie   October 30th, 2009 9:25 pm ET

I grew up in a house that had ghosts present from the night we moved in. They've always been friendly, though they enjoy playing with the tv as well as a little music box I have. The entire family has experienced them in one form or another, even seeing them from time to time.

LeAnna   October 30th, 2009 9:25 pm ET

I believe in the supernatural but as a Christian I don't believe in ghosts in the traditional sense. However, I've has plenty of paranormal experiences. That's why I love the Ghost Hunters. They are NOT frauds! I love the scientific approach they have. Keep up the great work!

Bianca Gibree   October 30th, 2009 9:26 pm ET

Jason and Grant are right when they say people want to know that there is something after life here. Please tell them there is. It is life with Jesus, the son of God who died on the cross for our sins. People need to get into a good bible base church and find the truth.
These enitity they hunt are demons, fallen angels that came here when God threw lucifer out of heaven and 1/3 of the angels went with him. There job is to mimic what we like, people we love , to blind us from the truth. Jesus is the only way Larry, and I know you have been told that a lot of times. Please forward to Jason and Grant and Coffee, and the Lady

Linda   October 30th, 2009 9:26 pm ET

Lived in an old house where I saw a ghost (grey cloud) move across the bedroom into another room. Found out that a teenage boy had died in the house many years before we bought it. That was my first of many experinces with angles and siteings. 6 months before my son passed from cancer, 3 children angels were by my bed as I woke out of a dead sleep. I saw the face of one but not the others. They were there to let me know that they are watching over me and my family. I have seen main family members at night when I would wake up out of a sound sleep. I finally saw my son and talked with him about 6 months ago. He has been dead for 3 years. Also, while on a cruise 6 months after he had died, he came to a lady with extra senses that was sitting right behind me in a class on board. She asked the instructor later if she had just lost a son or someone like a son, she said no. Later I was talking with the instructor and she told me about this passenger who approached here with this information. I started to cry and told her it was me. We met a couple of days later privately, she got in touch with my son and answered questions correctly that she would have never known in a million years. It was the most wonderful experience I have ever had and gave me great comfort!!! God bless her.
Thank you.

My previous home had a regular door lock and a dealbolt lock. I ever only locked the deadbolt. More than once I came home to find both locked. I live alone. One time I was working in the yard in front of the house and didn't lock the door, when I wrent to go back in it was locked and I had to borrow a ladder from a neighbour to get to a window and crawl back in. The home was previously owned by a lady who died. I don't know if she died in the house. My take on it was that she was still protecting her home.

My husband and I believe in the paranormal. We had the pleasure of seeing Chip Coffey in Buffalo this past August. His validation of my mother-in-law when she came through was correct. It was a true pleasure meeting him and finding out that she approved of me!!

My father, sister and niece took a few pictures while visiting Manassas battlefield. In a few of the pictures, in front of an old stone house, there are several orbits extremely visible. None of the other photos taken that day had that problem. I am confident that there was some paranormal activity present that day.

What me and My Adult children have noticed is they try and get our attention. We do NOT focus on them. They are different in different places. Its not the same thing everytime and yes we have been scared at times. we've been touched, whistled at VERY LOUDLY, and we have heard them call our names and we have had things moved very often. We have even seen them. They are everywhere! All different at different places.

I have seen & experienced a lot of strange things, any where that I lived. I have found that you need to trust in GOD and fear nothing.

Jonie   October 30th, 2009 9:35 pm ET

Yes, I believe in ghosts and spirits. Also angels and karma. Oh, the stories I could tell you just about this old house alone. I am being serious. I have lived here 25 yrs, the spirits, ghosts, orbs are more annoying then anything. They like to fool with electrical things, such as the clock radio, speakers. Now, Larry, you asked why would someone stay, haha, because I am a dominating force and they are not harmful, or otherwise I would have moved out after I first moved in. The house I grew up in also I would say was haunted. I do believe my animals can sense when they are around.

Pam   October 30th, 2009 9:38 pm ET

Maybe someone can answer this. I no we all have had this feeling like something comes over you and you feel this has happened before.

Dodie ~ California   October 30th, 2009 9:38 pm ET

@ Pam

Before you pay someone, make sure this person can describe something very specific. Anyone can make generalizations that you could identify with. So it has to be very very specific. Be careful, there are many scams out there.

Don't answer any questions first. Don't discuss anything about yourself. People are interestingly experience many common things. You already told her enough she could make an educated guess at something about your mother.

Just be careful....

Deb M   October 30th, 2009 9:39 pm ET

I saw my 1st ghost before age 5, at a older ladies house who babysat us. First I heard men talking in the upstirs and asked her who she had working that day. Then when we went up to her mothers room, there was her mother standing in the corner. I ws sure she saw it so I was never scared. I've seen a number of them over the years and never fear them . When I had a B&B , we had a "Lady in White " that a number of people saw at the hosue. My 18 yr old son included.
I believe they could be souls that were not evil or sinners yet not believed in God, so never passed on to any where else.

Hello bloggers did anyone read my bog and go to google earth? I want someone to see that and give an opinion as to what they think.

Susan A. Condon   October 30th, 2009 9:41 pm ET

At age 23 I was "on leave," in Melbourne, Fla., ending my Christmas vacation with my parents before reporting to my next base, Elmendorf AFB, Anchorage, Alaska. I was spending the last night in the home my father built and I grew up in (my parents later sold the house and I never had a chance to spend another night in that house). In the middle of the night I was asleep in my bedroom and my parents were asleep down the hall from me. As I was asleep laying on my right side, facing the wall, I felt/saw an aparition standing over me. I awoke and called, "Mama?" As I was turning over I saw the aparition which was about 5'7", a slender female with hair almost down to her shoulders. As I turned the aparition quickly "walked out of my room and quickly down the hallway. Then, I heard a rustling of newspapers. I looked out my bedroom window to see if the neighbors were awake reading a newspaper. The next morning I was eating my breakfast before I was to board the plane. I asked my mother, "Were you reading a newspaper in the middle of the night last night?" To which she replied, "You heard it too?" Then, she proceeded to tell me that as she was laying in bed sleeping she felt a "hand cover her face" very briefly, then, as it disappeared she heard a rustle of newspapers. We both believe that it was my grandmother trying to communicate to us as I was to make the 4800 mile trip across the country to a "foreign land" to me (Alaska). We felt that was her way of telling us that her spirit would be watching over me and that I would be protected and safe. The reason why we really felt it was my grandmother is that she was an avid reader of the MIAMI HERALD every day of her life. She read it cover to cover. And the rustling of newspapers was her way of reaffirming to us that it was she that was communicating with us that night.

I've had countless paranormal experiences, but one stands out the most. It was my first paranormal experience, and prior to that i was a huge sceptic! My family and i had just moved back to our old house which is about 40 years old. Shortly after moving back, I walked into the house and there was no home. I walk towards the hallway that leads to the bedrooms and i began to hear whispering around me, i thought that it was the A/C since the house was over 40 years old. But the whispering persisted and voices became more distinct. Spooked, i calmly walk back towards the door and just as i was about to reach it i hear a voice directly behind me whisper straight into my right ear. I could not understand what it was saying, it was almost as if it were talking backwards! I've had many experiences since, but i do not feel any hostility from them.

angela   October 30th, 2009 9:42 pm ET

The events that are depicted in the paranormal movie absolutely are real, I have had similar almost identical happenings on and off for all my life. Energies are not just people that are still hanging around, there are many different types of spirits. Demons for example absolutely hate humans, you can feel it. Spiritual guides are elevated, like angels, in a higher place, they dont need us. You have to discern what type of spirit you are involved with, and what your own spiritual state is , and you must have immense respect for the spirit world. Souls are lost here.

Larry asked to tell your scariest story! My story is true, I was 10 years old and had a doll that was 3ft tall and had a live spirit in it, of a 8 year old girl that was killed in a car accident. This spirit communicated to me thru the doll. I had this doll until I was 22 years old. It was so attached to me that I could not get rid of it. My family witnessed several things that this spirit would do to me. Now as a adult I can talk about it.

Hammad   October 30th, 2009 9:49 pm ET

Why a ghost has never interfere in someone daily life,or has killed or harmed a person? The only thing they do is create fear (or suspense). What dont they participate in real life? Why are they real?

Gretchen   October 30th, 2009 9:50 pm ET

Me dog seems spooked sometimes. One time I found her in the corner with her face against the wall. She also hides behind our couches. We have had paranormal investigators that have investigated our house and had voices come through the EVP. It sounds like my grandfather...

Dodie ~ California   October 30th, 2009 9:51 pm ET

I believe there are energies that we can not explain. I believe Carl Jung's collective unconscious in which information is passed down from generation to generation through the RNA, similar to DNA for color of hair giving us knowledge from all those that proceeded us, like animal's instincts. I have been able to predict future events before they happened. I have no control over it. I think everyone can. I am not special.

I am sorry to say, I do not believe the dead are alive in ghosts. And believe me, I have experienced the death of my entire family except for my brother. He and I are the only survivors. Maybe I am just too pragmatic. I do not judge others for their beliefs as a belief is exactly that. You just can not Prove it one way or another.

personal experience in a ghost tour
It was last year summer holiday and i was a mentor to high school kids. We had a planned ghost tour at Vicksburg Ms. As a strong founded Christian i did not believe in ghosts. When we began the ghost tour in the evening the ghost tour guide said, "remember to keep your cameras safe. most of the times the cameras don't work here and they may stop working during the tour and after the tour they will work" well i had a digital camera and i really wanted to capture the ghosts. Few minutes later my digital camera started becoming blurry. when i start taking a photo i will see the person than i want to take a photo and then the person or object starts getting blurry and strips of brownish lines forms in the screen. then the whole screen is full of darkness or reddish color. even to-date i have that camera and the same happens when i want to take a photo. i truely can not tell what happened to my digital camera since that ghost tour. Anybody with explanations i will really appreciate.

michelle psychic/medium I have a question.. I have had such realistic dreams of having sex.. and wake up just as if i had sex.. can this happen ?? with a spirit?? I have had many just kinda wondered..I does not scare me..

Vaun   October 30th, 2009 9:53 pm ET

Everyone I believe has a gift, my gift is that I can see things that are not there. I have seen figures standing out of the corner of my eye and I have come in contact with spirits. I have dreamt about coming deaths, I believe that ghosts live in a different dimension then we live in. I believe that there are multiple dimensions that we can travel back and forth through. I don't believe that people that have this power deal with the devil......I believe in god and I believe he is always with me....this is a GIFT that he has given me and how I use it is my choice. If I can help them to cross over then I will be there to help them to take that journey.

I enjoyed the show and reading the blog. I am one who loves to explore every single little thing. I have watched the Ghosthunters, and numerous other shows. The kids-older, got me to be a fan. Not sure what channel we were watching last Halloween, about a special on ghosts of Gettysburg, what was odd was they went to bed, I stayed up most of the night watching and checking out the different camera angles on the laptop. Just felt I had alot of company with me. The more the merrier, I guess.

Hi Larry,
Just wanted to let you know that I own an apt bld that is haunted.... it was built in 1886. One of my tenants has pictures of several ghosts. She took them with her cell phone. Its amazing. I personally haven't seen any ghosts but the pictures she has made a believer out of me. I have always believed b/c of past experiences. What I don't understand is why all of these ghosts hunters, paranormal state etc... can't get any pictures of ghosts with all of their expensive equiptment but my tenant has several with her cell phone. She said ghosts do not like flashes or bright lights. maybe you can pass this info on to them. Have a Happy Spooky Halloween............Shirley

When I was in the Blue Ridge Mountains where it was just white with snow. My dog got very irriated and wanted to go back in the car. Shortly after a car comes up the mountain and parks. A man comes out in cut off shorts, sandles and a shirt. The temp. was maybe in the low 20's. He had a license tag from Florida which is where I am from.. We spoke for a short while, he said "I always comes here when I visit NC and he walked away and walked right into the deep of the snow and disappeared. The whole time my dog was barking which was very unlike my dog. We got freaked out and left very quickly. I think ghost.

I have lived fifty years in a house with spirits. we Have seen a little boy, had many other manifestations, and even had some bad spirits. thankfully, I got rid of them using a ritual from a witch. I am not afraid, Just because they do not have a body is no reason they cannot be here.

I'd like for Ghost Hunters to spend a few days on Cumberland Island, GA in the old home that I stay in with friends during the summer. The house was built by the Carnegies. Cumberland is a very beautiful, but mytsical place. Now that would make a great show!

michelle psychic/medium   October 30th, 2009 10:05 pm ET

Pam-it is widely believed that energy that forms into an appirition or ghost can start as a white or green circle. This form is believed as a way to see those that have passed on. If you would like you are welcome to email me the pic you are talking about and I will look at it and give you my honest thoght on it. I have alot of pics that have orbs in them and just as many if not more that are nothing but dust, light etc Hope to be of some help!

michelle   October 30th, 2009 10:15 pm ET

NC.. and I have to say it is always a nice feeling.. and yes i have a person that has passed and it is him ..

Also I have had many things happen to me.. from loved ones that have died.. Like feeling a pat on the shoulder.. like everything is ok.. I really don't get that feeling you were speaking about .. all my encounters with spirits or what ever it is.. have been good..

on a funny note.. i always figured it was maybe being sex and he is helping ...we have to have a sense of humor .. sometimes .. and i do.. that's how i explain things that happen to me.. I am a open spirit myself. so I figured I draw in the good.. always..

Sorry to burst anyone's bubble........but Ghosts are really demons (the fallen angels that rebelled and were thrown out of heaven to earth). People need to know the real history behind Halloween.

The demons masquerade as ghosts. It's all in the bible. We are fighting against unseen things.........not flesh and blood. Satan the devil is really the ruler of this world. He started the rebellion in heaven against God (Jehovah). The battle continues to this day here on earth.

michelle   October 30th, 2009 10:22 pm ET

here is one thing that happened to me and my 2 sisters. My Father passed away and about a week later we went to the cemetery . we drove his car, we got out went to the grave site.. then we walked back to the car.. and were chatting and all of a sudden we all said wow do u smell that.. a very strong smell of roses was in the car.. now at the time i smoked and my dad didn't like it.. and i was smoking in his car.. the smell of roses was with us till we left the cemetery.. now what was that?? Michelle?

michelle psychic/medium   October 30th, 2009 10:24 pm ET

michelle-i am glad you know who the spirit is! 😀 phew...i have had the same sort of things happen to me too as far as the touching goes. i have been touched, picked up, talked to, poked etc. it is so neat to know we are not alone and life continues!

muhammad taimur tareen   October 30th, 2009 10:25 pm ET

There are no ghosts. Assuming they are then they are a creature who can not enter human part of world. Those who belienve in them are the ones who can not understand the science phenomen they observe & take it as ghosts. Some see them becausr they are under the influence of drug or drinks or they are supersticious.
I challange any one who says he has had encounter with ghosts & I will remove their misunderstanding through arguments.

michelle   October 30th, 2009 10:29 pm ET

christianity BLOCKED the development of the soul after death. Christianity do not teach people the existence of the live of the soul beyond death. The death of the flesh is not the death of the soul. The soul of the love one continue to be around us after the flesh is gone. The flesh is like a car, and the soul is the driver. The car gets old and quit. And the driver get a new car. When you don't see the car, does not mean the driver is burried w the car? same as the soul . When you don't see the car, which does not mean the person is not here. And we always feel them around us. Why do we prepare the person what to do w/o a car, but we never prepare the soul what to do w/o the body.. And we ignored them when we feel their present. We shut them off ! It's about time for us to search for the knowledge of LIVE beyond death. And STOP the taboo of heaven and hell . Our camera caught them all the time. But we ignored those pix. Search for the EAST cause they know how to reach for the Souls.

Jessie from Auckland, NZ   October 30th, 2009 10:37 pm ET

There's a passage in the Holy Bible that warns not to seek out psychics and it is good many people are unaware and ignorant of the true facts behind them. It is not all it seems. Beware. Just don't delve in these type of things. They all belong to the OCCULT (Demons).

I'm trying to find the exact passage and will post back later.

Katrina,Ohio   October 30th, 2009 10:52 pm ET

Jessie could you please tell me the true meaning of halloween or anyone?

Jessie from Auckland, NZ   October 30th, 2009 10:56 pm ET

I will tell a story –

I have never had any experiences of seeing so-called GHOSTS (Demons I call them) or anything out of the ordinary. So whether they only pick on some people or not is debateable.

But anyway when one of my older sisters was in her mid-teens these black hands appeared to her while being seated at the kitchen. I have heard of other people seeing this as well.

My sister-in-law has apparently seen little fairies or leprechauns dancing at the foot of her bed. She told her husband (my brother)......see, look at them...........but he couldn't see them.

So I take it that they appear to certain people. I don't quite understand it. Only I think they can come in many different forms or disguises.

Jessie from Auckland, NZ   October 30th, 2009 11:32 pm ET

Katrina, Ohio –
Thank you for your interest. I have done some bible studying with the Jehovah's Witnesses and I think I got the information about Halloween from them. I hope this will help you. Quoted below:

Known for its witches, goblins, and other grotesque decorations and paraphernalia, Halloween – also called All Hallows' Eve or the eve of All Saints' Day – can be traced back to the ancient Celts of Britain and Ireland.

On the full moon nearest November 1, they celebrated the festival of Samhain, meaning "Summer's End". They believed that during Samhain, the veil between the human and the supernatural worlds was parted and that spirits, both good and evil, roamed the earth.

The souls of the dead were thought to return to their homes, and families would put out food and drink for their ghostly visitors in hopes of appeasing them.

Thus, when children today, dressed as ghosts or witches, go from house to house threatening a mischievous trick unless they receive a treat, they unwittingly perpetuate the rituals of Samhain.

In other words it's like honouring the demons.

You can try googling get more information.

Katrina,Ohio   October 30th, 2009 11:49 pm ET

Thank you Jessie I never knew that was the true meaning of halloween. I personally never liked halloween, because I don't care for scary things.

Linda   October 31st, 2009 12:20 am ET

What is a ghost? The scary things we see on TV? Do you mean the spirits of men and women after the person dies?

I did not like my mother when I was a teen. I didn't think she like me. I tried to associate with her, but it was difficult up until a few years before she passed away when she stopped screaming. When she died, I stood in the mortuary with my brothers, sisters and father. We were all afraid to approach the casket. I saw and felt my mother come to me. She took me by the hand, whispered into my ear, "I'm sorry for the pain I caused you in your life." She told me not to be afraid to approach her body in the casket.

I believe when a person dies, the spirit which possessed the physical body lives on as the same person that dwelt in the flesh, only without the physical illnesses and conditions.

ann   October 31st, 2009 12:23 am ET

yes! I do believe in ghost. I have had 5 different experiences which included smells, whispers, images, changes in the atmosphere and physical movements.

Our cottage has a ghost or two. Two people died in a fire and the cottage was rebuilt. It is built into a hill so there is an entrance on the second floor as well as the lower level. We would hear what sounded like someone coming in the upper entrance, shutting the door and walking across the floor. For the first few years we didn't think it was anything more than creaking or settling. But as the years went by, guests experienced it as well. One friend's toddler was napping upstairs. She heard the ghost come in and walk around and ran up the stairs to check on her child. She came back down and said she was sure someone had come in but found nothing. We told her we had all heard the same thing many times and there was never anyone, so we just kind of tuned it out. That's when we seriously started thinking it was the people who died in the fire coming home. They never came in when people were upstairs and we never felt any negative energy. That's my ghost story!

Janet Blommesteyn   October 31st, 2009 12:27 am ET

Dear Larry: I am terrified of spirits however, they been making their presence know to me since I was five. While pregnant with triplets, I have on tape saying it was two boys and one girl and where they were in my stomach. I was only 3 mo pregnant. the psychic stuff never let up. I explained to my 54 year old mother that two angels came to me and told me to "don't be afraid of the light, it's only part of where your going!" Then they said to get things straight before you die. I was so scared while telling my mother. The next morning she had called my sister and talked for 2 hours after a two year absence. My mother then had a massive heart attack at 4 PM just 24 hours later and died. It was on the last day of the triplets first year of kindergarden. My phone kept ringing on the day after her funeral. When I would pick up the phone talking would happen by the opperator. I told my mothers spirit if she was trying to tell me she was ok than I was ok and I loved her and good bye.–The phone calls stopped.

Jessie from Auckland, NZ   October 31st, 2009 12:33 am ET

Here is more information on Halloween taken from Jehovah's Witnesses book.

"The Encyclopedia Americana says: "Elements of the customs connected with Halloween can be traced to a Druid ceremony in pre-Christian times. The Celts had festivals for two major gods – a sun god and a god of the dead (called Samhain), whose festival was held on November 1, the beginning of the Celtic New Year. The festival of the dead was gradually incorporated into Christian ritual." --(1977), Vol. 13, p.725.

The book "The Worship of the Dead" points to this origin: "The mythologies of all the ancient nations are interwoven with the events of the Deluge........ The force of this argument is illustrated by the fact of the observance of a great festival of the dead in commemoration of the event, not only by nations more or less in communication with each other, but by others widely separated, both by the ocean and by centuries of time.

This festival is, moreover, held by all on or about the very day on which, according to the Mosaic account, the Deluge took place, viz., the seventeenth day of the second month - the month nearly corresponding with our November." (London, 1904, Colonel J. Garnier, p.4).

Thus these celebrations actually began with an honoring of people whom God had destroyed because of their badness in Noah's day. --Genesis 6:5-7; 7:11.

Such holidays honoring "spirits of the dead" as if they were alive in another realm are contrary to the Bible's description of death as a state of complete unconsciousness.--–Ecclesiastes 9:5, 10; Psalm 146:4."

In other words the dead know nothing.

There is a book that is out . that talks about people who have died. It says that when We die we go to the arms of Jesus or to hell.Hell is a place of torment , Heaven is a place of peace. It also says that we are asleep until the end of time. The ghost which people think that they are seeing are auctually spirts of the devil sent to torment people..that is there job they do it well.

To Marilyn Beardshear: From your comment it is very clear that your comments refering to the tooth fairy and Santa Clause means your jealous because you don't have the gift of connecting with spirits or having psychic events happen around you all the time. I have not wanted the contact and have not provoked my experinces. The contact I have had has not been evil. I have had approximatly 30 unexplainable events in my life of 44 years. The reason why people like me don't feel comfortable to talk about these things a lot is because of sceptics like you

I remembered when I was only 7, my family and I used to live in a haunted house. I was always afraid we could not sleep at night. At night the house was surrounded with weird noises, like there were wolves inside the house. And during the day chairs in the living room were moving. we found snakes under our bed. One day mom and I were in the kitchen and she was calling for my cousin who was here to visit suddenly we heard a voice saying that she just left. I still have goosebumps when I speak of this. When we were planning to move in the house, many people warned my parents saying that the house is haunted and it will take one of their child. anyway Mom used to pray a lot and she prayed we went to church every sunday, we left the house and nothing happened to us. it was a scary experience.

This happened several times so I slowed down and pulled over going slow. As I rounded the curve an 18 wheeler coming around from the other direction came over in my lane. Had I have continued driving the course I was going I would not be typing this right now..
I couldn't sleep that night so the next day I drove back where this happened (had to be a turn off or gate) no there was no turn off close, just fence. Ghosts?? Guardian Angel yes.. There is something and they're not all bad...!

If you don't believe in ghosts of anykind , then you can't believe in angels. If one exsists then they must both exist..

My boyfriend recently died and he drove my dog crazy for a while, I asked him to stop and burned sage. One day I had maie company in my home and my dead boyfriends ghost was very angry and scared my dog behind the sofa. After my maie guest left I told him that he would have to move on and let me live my life because he was dead.
I have had no more problems with him frightening my dog.

I had another boyfriend that died and he came to me in my dream to say good bye before I found out that he was dead,

I have ghost in my home all the time because I live across the street from the cemetary, so I burn a lot of sage to cleanes the air.

A lady and a bishop both told me that my grandmother Rose is watching over me.

I dont know if i am attracted to ghostly buildings, or ghosts are attracted to me!
when i was 17 i started working at a pizza place in old town here in portland, or. i started being the prep cook shortly after being hired. this meant that i was one of two people entering the building so early in the morning. the building was once the merchant hotel, the largest hotel on the west coast. our pizza restaraunt was the very large lobby of this hotel, as the story goes.
our dough room was on the 2nd floor, and when you were in there with the machine running, you couldnt hear much else. except for when you would hear your name called seemingly from the bar downstairs. this building is in old town, directly next to chinatown, with tunnels that connect all of the buildings all the way out to the river for shanghi. many more stories from this building, restaurant.
next at age 20, i moved to san francisco, where i worked at the great american music hall,(1906) although there werent so many ghost stories here, we always wondered about it being a brothel, at one time it was connected to the very famous next door neighbor mitchell brothers theater.
moving on... at age 24, i moved back to portland, and started work at the melody ballroom (1925) been there ever since. the first i saw was a man in a zoot suit walk through a wall. i have seen shadowy figures as well but the strangest was the fireball that moved around in the basement bar. some say that we icelandics have a strong ability to see things that others cannot. the women in my family seem to be quite sensitive when it comes to events that have not happened. predictions if you will.

Greetings Larry, I love your show.

The Ironic message is that despite considerable attempts by Christian Leaders and the Pope, Halloween remains the most openly celebrated festival honoring past spirits.

Another irony is that any spirit of the dead knows more about the life after death than any living Pope ever will.

Do I believe in Ghosts and various Spirits? Yes, absolutely!

I have seen several during my lifetime.

Those that condense briefly are less unsettling in my opinion, while those that more fully condense into a near solid physically appearing form for some unexplained reason are more unsettling. I'm not sure if that is some form of social conditioning or just the mind trying to place a round peg into the square hold of comprehension.

Katrina – You're welcome. Thanks.
Linda – What an amazing thing to happen to you. I have heard of things like this happening to other people. The thing I don't understand, is why does it happen to some people and not others. Maybe ghosts are selective.

From my bible studies I take it that ghosts are really demon spirits (evil spirits) and they can even appear as angels of light. So I take it that when a deceased relative or loved-one appears to you.........that it is really these demon spirits masquerading as them.

I think when a person dies their physical body goes back to dust.........but the breath of life/life-force/spiritual body goes back to God and is in his safe-keeping till the coming Resurrection Day. Where all the dead will be raised up again to face Judgement.

My understanding is that the spirits of human beings don't just continue being active after death. Like floating around the earth. As for continuing on up in heaven........I'm not so sure.

But as I was told by a Seventh-Day Adventist Pastor..........we don't know everything. I suppose the things that are secret belong to God.
You make that choice can force it upon you.
Detestable Practices –

Deuteronomy 18:10-12

"There should not be found in you anyone who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead. Anyone who does these things is destestable to Jehovah (God)."

I had an experience where i was living in NV and my grandmother was in MD living at the time with her son and my mother. My mother had come out to help me with my new son and my grandmother was staying with her son while my mother was helping me. One night I had a dream about my grandmother. She was in her bed in NJ (they went back to NJ after my mother was through with helping me) I went down to see her in her bedroom. I turned on the bathroom light and it was shining on her. I saw her trying to move over to the right side of her bed because thats where she said she always saw my grandfather. I went over to her and kissed her forehead and told her how much I loved her and said good-night. Several months later I was back in NJ living with my mother. For two months I was helping take care of my grandmother and on the night before she died I was trying to go to sleep and couldn't. I was saying a rosary and all of a sudden I felt a present down at the end of my bed. I know it was my grandfather telling me to go down and say good-bye to my grandmother. When I finally got to her bedroom I turned the bathroom light on and there was my dream happening all over again. When I went back upstairs I told my grandfather to take her home because I couldn't be selfish anymore with wanting her to stay here. With telling him that I went right to sleep and didn't wake until the next morning when my mother told me to check on my grandmother because she thought she had passed over. She was right and my grandmother was on the right side of her bed where she always saw my grandfather and had a beautiful peaceful smile on her beautiful face. I also had someone touch my right shoulder while I was laying in bed. I thought it was my husband but when I turned to look he was facing away from me sound a sleep. I also have a psychic friend back in NJ and she knows John Edwards and they both are the real thing.

I will try to make this short. About 10 years ago my family went on vacation to Loon Mountain, NH. I purchased a condo for a week but had to make changes because someone else decided to join us..I called and they told us we needed a larger unit, they were accomodating but the woman wasn't real enthusiastic, to say the least. I actually asked her if there were something wrong with the new unit and she said No. Well, she was either lying or wrong. Anyway, first day there my (at the time) 9 year old daughter went chasing up the stairs after who she thought was her brother. I was in the first room at the top of the staris and I saw them both run by. Anyway, my daughter came back to me and said "Who is that boy in the red shirt?" and I said "What boy?" She said "The one behind the door." So, I went in the next bedroom and didn't see anyone. She said she thought she was chasing her brother but when he ran into the room he was hiding behind the door. When she yanked open the door and saw him she was scared out of her mind. OK...All I want to say about that week is it was probably the worse week of our lives. There were radios going on that weren't plugged in. There was noise that sounded like people talking or singing but you couldn't make it out. When we were checking out I made my husband stop at the office. I went in and said I wanted my money back because they rented me a haunted unit and it was not a good vacation, to say the least. The woman didn't flinch and said "Our policy is there is no refund." My question was? Why not call me crazy? So we drive home to MA. Finally home, I tell the kids to get to bed cause they have school on Monday (it was a Saturday). Then I go in the family room and get on the pc to play some games on Pogo. While I'm playing I see (who I think is my son wearing a red shirt and jeans) walk in the kitchen, btw, the kitchen and the family room are open to each other. Anyway, I see him open the cabinets like he's looking for something to eat, so I say "What are you looking for?" No response. I say, "there is tuna in the fridge if you're hungry". No response. Then he turns and goes back down the hallway (I never see his face) leaving the cabinets wide open. I say, "Hey, shut the cabinets." No response. Now, I'm mad. I get up and say, "Who do you think you are? I told you to shut the cabinets". Then I get down the hall and I stop at the bathroom door, FEAR like you'd never believe struck me. I was so scared to open that door, but I did...and no one. Anyway, I go in my son's room and there he is sleeping not wearing the red shirt I saw before. I start back down the hall and my other son says, Mom. I go in his room and he's looking like he is scared out of his wits. I say "You okay?" He says "Yeah" The next day he says "Okay, now I can tell you what I saw last night, now that it's light out" He then told me he saw the "thing" walk past his room and go into the kitchen. He heard me talking to "it" and also heard me yell at it and chase it. He called for me cause he was terrified. Days go by...I take a nap in the afternoon, then I wake up because the water is running in the kitchen. I think, omg, they left the faucet running so I yell to turn it off. It's still on so I get up and go to the kitchen. I see a boy facing away from me with a red shirt on washing his hands like a maniac, I mean scrubbing so I say Matthew? Just hoping it's one of my son's friends...he stops, he shuts off the water and he turns around....OMG!!! I was so frightened by that face I fell backwards into my son's bedroom...then I woke up. Anyway, I drew the face and called my daughter in to look at the picture and immediately she said..."That's him! That's the boy from the condo!" I felt so bad that such a little girl would have to see such a horrifying thing. I would also like to say I've had many psychic visions concerning people I know.and they have come true. Is there a connection? I don't know. Anyway, that's my story.

Hi My Favorite Larry!
I had an experience with an entity that manifested to myself and my girlfriend at my home in Los Angeles; We were 5yrs old.
It appeared as a red mist and formed into the stereotype devil form.
He was holding a pitchfork and we could see his horns. It was against a white wall floating about a foot from the floor.
Of course we were petrified into silence just staring at this red figure of the devil.
Somehow, it either disappeared or we snapped out of it and ran lick two demented bansees to the kitchen where my grandmother was. We clinged to her skirt yelling, crying and unable to make her understand what happened. When she got it, she grabbed the broom and went, with us adhered to her skirt, looking around the small house but, of course, found nothing.
This has stayed with me all my life and shows like TAPS and Psychic Children fascinate me hoping I'd understand better what my experience meant. Love to Jay, Grant, Chip and the rest.
Thanks Larry..............................Marie from Claremont, CA

Hi again, Larry,
I forgot to ask Chip a question; When are the new episodes of Psychic Children going to air?? The ones that premiered are getting really old now. It's never crossed my mind that these kids are very confused and scared due to not being "Understood", shunned ostrasized and criticized. I feel for these kids and hope that more of them get the help they need.

I had an encouter with an evil ghost once. I was living in an apartment building and I was laying down to go to sleep. I was on my side, when something or someone started choking me and I heard a male voice laughing. I was frozen stiff and unable to breathe. I thought " This isn't funny. Stop laughing at me. " and saw my hand reaching out for help and then it stopped. I couldn't sleep at ALL that night.

When I was eleven my father passed away. The night after his funeral
he appeared to my sister and me. He was wearing the same style and color of clothing he usually did when alive. He spoke to comforting words to both of us. We got up to sit at the top the stairs leading to the first floor. Our father appeared to us again at the foot of the stairs. This time he didn't speak but opened his arms toward us and smiled. Then his spirit disappeared. It was comforting to see him after the shock of his sudden death due to a massive heart attack. I really haven't seen any other spirits since but do know that both my sister and myself saw Daddy the night after his funeral.

In October, 2003, Grace Cobb, the widow of classmate and friend, George Cobb, came from West Milford, NJ to visit with us and with another lifelong friend in Montgomery, Texas.

When we drove to Montgomery, near Houston, to bring Grace back to North Texas, we decided to come home through San Antonio so that Grace could see this beautiful city with its famed River Walk. Our son had agreed to go along to do the driving and because he is interest in the macabre, he insisted that we make reservations to stay in the Menger Hotel. This hotel, which opened in 1859, is the oldest hotel west of the Mississippi that has been in continual operation. It is located on Alamo Plaza, right across from the Alamo itself. Just 23 years before the Menger opened for business as a boarding house, 189 Alamo defenders and 1600 Mexican troops were killed there, many without the benefit of a proper burial, leaving many souls in search of eternal life, thus making San Antonio one of the most haunted cities in America.

The Menger is said to be haunted by 38 ghosts. It is claimed there’s a ghost for nearly every era, including a Spaniard, a Confederate Officer, a man in buckskin, and one in a top hat. There’s Sallie White of the housekeeping staff and a persistent woman with the quavering voice who wanted room service. Her calls come from an unoccupied part of the hotel – from a room that had been closed for years.

It was Halloween so what would be more appropriate on Halloween night than to spend the night in a haunted hotel. After we checked in, we did the usual things…toured the Alamo, …took a River Boat ride …and went for refreshments to the Buckhorn Saloon.

Brant and Robert were sharing a room and Grace and I were in an adjoining room. We met in the hallway when we had yelled at one another that we were ready to go downstairs for our 6:30 dinner reservation in the Colonial Room Restaurant. We discovered then that Brant and Robert could not get their room door to lock. They tried several times, but each time as soon as they tried the door, it popped open.

Finally, Brant put the bar across and exited through our room and joined us in the hallway. Then he decided to try the door one more time. When he turned the knob, the bolt slipped into place and the door was locked. (Now which one of the 38 ghosts was at work?)

We read on the Internet later that The 8th Annual International Ghost Hunters Ghost Conference was to be held in San Antonio, Texas on June 19, 2004 at the haunted Menger Hotel. But we didn’t go. No way, we don’t believe in ghosts!

Larry.... Whenever you do a program on topics such as Psychics, Witchcraft, Pseudoscience, Quack Medicine, Halloween, Ghosts, UFO's, Contacting the Dead, Etc., PLEASE make sure to also interview a well-known sceptic (or is it skeptic?) so that your viewers will have an opposing point of view to consider. During your show last night about Halloween and Ghosts, you interviewed many people who believe in that sort of nonsense, and you did not interview a single sceptic. Well known sceptics such as James Randi would be a welcome addition to any of your shows disussing any of the above listed topics. THANKS!

If you don't believe in ghosts of anykind , then you can't believe in angels. If one exsists then they must both exist..

Yes, I agree.

That was an angel watching over you that day I'm sure.

Also animals do exist on a higher frequency – they are more highly tuned..........especially cats and dogs. I believe they can see ghosts.

Jessie from Auckland, NZ   November 1st, 2009 8:08 am ET

You better believe there are GHOSTS They are not connected with the dead. These are the DEMONS (fallen angels thrown down to earth from heaven when they rebelled against God). Do you know who led the rebellion.........none other than SATAN (Lucifer)...........who wanted to be like God. Lucifer was the finest angel. He is now a fallen one and ruler of this world. Be on guard as he is roaring around like a wild lion waiting to devour.

JESUS cast out many demons from people when he was here on earth. These demons are evil spirits and they can manifest in many ways.

There is some belief that mental illness can also be attributed to being possessed by these so-called demon spirits and that they need to be exorcised or cast out.

Jessie from Auckland, NZ   November 1st, 2009 8:21 am ET

@ patsy October 30th, 2009 9:17 pm ET

You were very brave in what you did and it was probably the right thing and scared them off. Some of them can get very violent and have to end up getting a priest in to exorcise them – cast them out. An exorcist has to know what they are doing as these demon spirits can be very powerful.

Jessie from Auckland, NZ   November 1st, 2009 8:39 am ET

There is no afterlife – when you die your thoughts perish and your body returns to dust. Life does not continue in another realm. There remains the hope of the RESURRECTION where all the dead will be brought back to life sometime in the future and then to JUDGEMENT.

These ghosts or demons are the evil spirits probably masquerading as dead relatives and so on. They are not human spirits. Our spiritual bodies or life-force or the breath-of-life probably returns to God and awaiting the time of the resurrection. This will be in fulfilment of the SCRIPTURES (The Word of God).

Dear Larry,
I saw the Michael Jackson movie over the weekend and I thought it was wounderful. I believe after seeing how hard everyone worked to prepare for the This Is It tour, Janet Jackson should go out and do the tour for her brother. She dances as good as Michael and I think it would be wounderful not only for his dances and musicians to put on his last show but for the fans. No matter what people thought of M.J. everyone agrees the was a showman and the king of pop.

Thankyou for your moment.

Come on people, lose the faith, see the facts, use reason and common sense, not the bible

Stanislaw Giers   November 1st, 2009 2:38 pm ET

Jessie and H.Van der Ziel

You are wrong both of you you said that these being that show themselfs to us (Jessie Im talking to you now) are demons in this logically you are correct however you yourself do not understand the full meaning of the world Demon !
Demon from ancient greek means merrelly a spirit its meaning is the same as modern day spirit(presumably even a higher being than just a spirit capable of materialisation into our world) ...If You indeed read the Bible and it contained these things you said it did ! Thats what Demons mean in it the negative meaning was added by christianity after the Bible was written !!!!!!!!!!!!!

under the greek and original meaning GOD is also a demon !! (look the word Demon in Wikipedia)

Now the Bible uses clarification here when it deals with Evil spirits it always add Evil before the word Demon !

I saw it few times ! Since Demons are just afterlife beings there are some Demons that obey God thats how Jesus was able to cast them out now I know what I said might offend your religious feelings but its no blasphemy !!

Also Religions falsify the whole truth and Jehova's well I don't
have a particulary good opinion about you guys ! I researched your teachings and thats a complete lie !!

Here's some citation from your book I got !
"What does the Bible teach"

"Satan uses certain religions to teach that after deadth people change into Ghosts that we should worship. In the thoughts of this teachings they can become powerfull enemies or powerfull enemies......"

Ok Indeed Worshiping Dead and placing them before God is bad ! But what does the term worshiping mean in this case !

we people have a tradition to build graves for the ones that die its to worship them honor them does that offend God ?
Are graves an sing Against God Jehova ??????

ok People can't be Ghost and don't have souls right ?
so if we die and go to sleep if its over how are we to be salvated ? Isn't the Ghost soul the conscious the explanation for this ?
"As we found out from the chapter 6 a human in time of deadth ceases to exist..."
Ok So were gone were die and we do not exist were no more ! So technically and logically according to your teachings there can't be any salvation cause there's nothing to save ! these who died are dead will remain like that forever they don't exist and yet in other fragments of that book I read they sleep !!???? ok but they don't exist so how can they sleep if they do not exist !!!! there not here null they can't sleep ! because they need to exist !!!

"The Bible teaches us how to not allow yourself to be manipulated by evil GHOSTS !!!! and how to free themselfs from them. lets think about christians from the I century the Bible sais "they brought theire books and burned them with everyone" Destroying these books these christians gived us an example of how we can free ourselfs from evil spirits
A person that wishes to surve Jehova should get ridd of everything that is connected to some sort of Ocultism. These may be Press,Books Movies, posters,Music which explore and invite us to these practices...."

Ok that part reminded me of the time when Nazi Germany "Freed itself" From "evil ideology" they publicly burned all books that were "harmfeull" According to Nazis !!!
I wonder isn't it a propaganda theme ??? huh well Don't talk to dead ?? because ?? They don't exists you know they can't say nothing !!! Than again there shouldn't be any God or evil Demons according to your religion you know no salvation as well !!

I Think thats enought of this I cited some parts that show how falsified your teachings are ! Now Im not saying Demons do not try to act as dead people I think that must be a common practice ! And yes for people who are amateurs Ocultism might be dangerous because its opening a door only the problem is that we don't know who is on the other side here's the deal it can be a sexy girl or a psychopatic killer ! Now we have no means of verifying it you see !

However making millions of people beliving in your lies is indeed a huge probe of offending us !!
and morally when you see a crying member of familly who had his love one die the least moral is to say that he does not exists just like that ! Even these evil demons have more honor to adleast pretend to be dead familly members !!!!
it gives a lot of comfort to these people and you have no right you and others like you Jessie to take it away or forbidd it !

Jehova witnesses are a religion based on collecting money from fools that belive these lies ! Jesus warn us that there will be false prophets telling us that the world will end these has been written into the scripture as well have you not read any of these ! about the False religions ??
You're quite picky of what you read not the whole bible only the parts you think may justify you !! As far I can say the Bible itself does not dissaprove these practices only warns of its dangerous ! When these angels rebbeled from God they also brought some teachings to humanity GOD did not banned these teachings only the angels were punished and not for the love to human womans but for creating golems it was a response to demands of the people that die that God act so it makes me think if these Angels would stop at taking the woman as their wifes God would let it be as he is a mercifull Lord but the injustice of hurting people was the reason he acted !

If God does not exist how do you exist ! have you ever thought about it ? Why are you here ? whats the reason !
You take things for granted ! just because you don't see anything are you sure you're not as that naive to actually do not know when you're lied too ???
Tell me in what do you belive ?
In science ? than tell what is a computer program in its true form ??? Have you ever thought about it ?

Sheryl   November 1st, 2009 3:02 pm ET

Wow, some of you sure seem to think you know it all. I believe there are spirits, but I wouldn't begin to put down other's religious beliefs. I'm wondering where some of you hang out because I don't want to go there. You're too judgmental.

CeCe   November 1st, 2009 9:28 pm ET

I believe in Ghosts or spirits if one prefers. There was a time I was not sure but then it all made sence when a sixth grade teacher said You hear stories of ghosts but we all have souls (spirits) when we die a lot of us goes through a cleansing in Purgatory and who is to say that Purgatory is not hear on earth and they will eventually go to Heaven and not Hell. So they could be waiting for prayers for their souls to get into Heaven faster. I've also had experience with them and I am not saying that some spirits are not evil. If you ask me we have more to worry about the living hurting us than the dead of course it is unnerving encountering a spirit and it's actions which is usually not harmful, Demons of course are harmful. Padre Pio had encounters with both. (A very Holy man of God who had encounters with both.

Rose   November 2nd, 2009 11:49 am ET

When considering beliefs in ghosts or spirits based on religion, we should consider the following:

– For many North Americans (not all), the belief in ghosts is wrapped within the very strong context of Christianity. That is, reference to the Bible, Jesus' power against demons etc, holy water, crosses, etc. Within this predominate religion and culture, the interpretation of supposed supernatural events are perceived and given definition.

– In non-Christian societies, the Bible or Jesus are not deemed to be part of any belief or solution. In the Islamic world the concept of the Jinn (now distorted to "genie" in western culture) exists. The Jinn is believed to be a "smokeless fire" or energy and can take on forms. Created by God and co-exists with Man. There are a multitude of accounts concerning the Jinn for centuries including their role with Old Testament prophets such as King Solomon (mentioned in the Quran). It is believed that the Jinn can taunt, harm or help people.

– In many parts of Asia, a very strong belief in Animism exists (usually in some form of Buddhism). This is the belief that souls or spirits reside in animals, plants, rocks as well as humans. Native Americans also believe in this.

– Ancestor worship is a widespread custom in Asia and ceremonies are performed to appease ancestors as they can intercede on behalf of family members. The dead ancestors visit the homes of their living relatives. They also believe in reincarnation and that affects their understanding of the soul.

In other words, a person's cultural and religious beliefs can strongly influence what is considered to be supernatural. What is accepted in one culture is rejected by another. A crucifix can do battle against a nasty spirit in one part of the world but may have no effect against a spirit in another cultural context. We seem to have multi-cultural spirits who abide by their own socio-religious norms.

Rose   November 2nd, 2009 12:29 pm ET

The "psychics" that appear on TV are fake. They are making a lot of money with appearance fees, book sales etc. Most have the same old story – a ghost with a problem is harrassing an innocent person. They need to uncover the problem before more harm is done. They miraculous can see and speak to the dead, usually within minutes of their arrival at the victim's home! Wow – what a skill!

After purifications, prayer, holy water sprinkling and taking Jesus' name – the ghostly problem usually goes away. It's the same situation over and over again. These scammers need to get off the air and people need to stop being naive about them. Entertaining – yes, reality – no.

This in the Texarkana News Paper on the front page & on the internet. I meet my husband on a blind date, 3 months later we got married & have been maried for 20 years. In 2005 he filed for a divorce and we are still married to this day. Wayne was militay and is very controlling, he has a few girlfriends but one of them has been cutting the spark plugs in the car and rigging it to catch fire. One time it caught on fire while I had thee state awarded foster children in the car with my own two children. I put the children out of the car and ran the car in a rain puddle to put the fire out. I have been to the police the police went to the DA when Wayne broke into the house, the police saw him do it & pressed charges against Wayne, but the DA denied the charges said Wayne was not going to hurt me, he was just mad, then wrote denied on the papers. I've been to the Sherriff but when we appeared in court the judge had to drop the charge because the papers were not signed by the DA. The Deputy Sherriff was mad when I told her that I went to the FBI, then she stated in the report that I said I have a gun permit & I will carry my gun everywhere I go & kill anyone that gets in my way. That is not true. I tried to move away but was told that I had to bring the children back. A stick was cut & used to put packets in the alternator of the car, wires cut with paper placed between them for the sparks to start a fire, wires pulled from starter, fuses taken out & moved around, dog food placed nice & neat in it's own spot under the hood, sunflower seeds in another. I saw her under the hood of the car that I borrowed one night. I had gone to the police that day, then I called Wayne's girlfriend Comelia on wayne's phone & told her that I know what she has done and so does the police. I knew that she woould come back up thee, so I called the police & asked for them to drive by my house more often. She did not come by in an hour so I went to the back room, I heard someone outside, I looked out the window & saw the hood up on the car, the doors open & the trunk up. A short female with a black bibbed cap, coveralls (Light),black shirt, Jacket with hood, black boots, white gloves with black tips & palm. My van had messed up awhile before, but the other day Idecided to have the van checked out & foundsome of the same things wrong with the van that was wrong with the present car. One of the wrecked cars had a nest made in it & a Texas Pete Resturant package on top of it, unopened. The same type of packets that were in the borrowed car. Things like Red River news paper, packets from Texas Pete Resturant, Popeye's Chicken, a pecan was placed under the hood each time for a while, but they stoppedwhen it hit the news paper. The bolts under the hood were loosened to the point that the hood bounced when I drove, I stopped the car & called the police.
The OSBI told me that I would have to die before the could investigate, but they were taking the information for just in case, for when somthing does happen. The police do not have my evidence any longer, the sherriff does not have any evidence logged in the books, & the DA said he has more important cases. Our county has had more that 25 domestic violence death cases, then I have ever heard of. No one seems to care what happens to these families in domestic violence. One lady called the police 5 times, help did not come & her husband killed her that night. I have gone to the FBI & the US Attorney to get help. the FBI agent gave me his name & number, I gave the US attorney all my information & evidence. I called the Red River Army Depot where Wayne & Comelia work to get their tag numbers sent to the FBI agent so that the information could reach the US Attorney. Now there is a warrant out for my arrest & I could go to jail for up to 3 years, $250,000 fine & 1 year suppervised probation I go to jail Oct. 27th. But no matter what happens I hope that you run this story. I know that women & children are being killed & nothing is happening to prevent these needless deaths. I have more important things to do than this crazyness. I am on the Govenor's Committee, I am trying to open two homeless shelters. One for public & one for Veterans. This is on the front page of the Texarkan news & on the internet. I am a minister that wants to tell the world that I lied and why I felt I had to. I don't mind going to jail if my children are safe. Please help us abused women by telling this story. Thank you very much & may God bless you in every way. The DA did not sign the papers for me to press stalking charges against Comelia (girlfriend). I have filed 4 PO's 2 restraining orders & all were dropped, not by me. About 22 police reports have been made & many pictures taken to prove that Wayne & his girlfriend are trying to kill us. They both work on vehicles that have been blown up in Iraq, they learn how they were blown up & how to repair them. They are using this military training for thei selfish reasons against American civilians. Idabel has had a riot that brought in the KKK and made their own news paper. The law has left one girls body uncovered for more than an two hours uncovered. My husband told me a plan was in place for him to bury me also. "Because men don't just wake up one morning & decide to kill their mate, they plan it out. And you are crazy as hell if you think that there is not a plan for me to me put 6 feet under." Now I found out that the PO was signed in Feb. by my attorney & his, but they said, "We just dropped the ball". Now to get a PO they are scheduling me a trial for the PO. I have never heard of a trial for a PO, but was told "this is a special case". The state Senator told me he would get another attorney. I have to come up with $15,000 for a new attorney that can get me off. McCurtain County has more domestic violence homecide in OK than any other. My son has heard his father say that he would kill all of us then himself because no price is too great. I did not try to lie, I just needed help to save my children. Please help me any way that you can. God Bless. Can read in McCurtain aily Gazette on internet. NAACP had a walk-in Oct.30 & will have a march Nov.21 our Law Enforcement Agencies need to be investigated. Why must we citizens be forced to defend ourselves?
Must I die too, in order to get help, OSBI said YES.
Yes I am a minister, Yes I did lie & yes I am willing to admit what I did & why. I am not a minister that lives like hell & still tries to lead others to heaven. People say, "Why should I go to church when that preacher is doing the same thing that I am. I do not have to go to church to go to hell, I can go on my own." There are some of us that are real & when we mess up, we are willing to ask for forgiveness.

H. van der Ziel   November 2nd, 2009 4:28 pm ET

@ Stanislaw Giers

I exist because my mom and dad had sex. My dad made my mom pregnant, not because of some god.
Why does anyone exist, just because you can't explain doesn't mean it hás to be a god. Thát's naive
you're using this god as an explanation for everything, for the existance of the world, for your own existance.
There is no god, otherwise this world would've been better. We as humans messed it up, but if this god of yours is so compassionate then why doesn't he come and help ?

Stanislaw Giers   November 2nd, 2009 6:12 pm ET

@ H. van der Ziel

In other words God does not exist because you're life is pathetic don't make me laught !

You Expect God to come down every time little poor you is hurt
and make it all better buahahahahaha are you serious !

there is no God because the world is as it is ! what did you expect from world you're naive God is above these things he helps these THAT REALLY NEED HIM not some loosers than don't know what to do with their lifes !!

Just because you can't explain dosent mean there's no God as well !! XD:)
it has not been rulled out you see !

make me make my self clear God is not compassionate in the sense Religions portray him ! God main purposse of existence is observing us and learning gathering universal knowledge ! (now for many people its hard to comprehend)
Love is not real it its just something we created to help us its a literary concept !

You're obiedient to your parents cause you live in society in which that is a norm you go to School because its a norm compassion love, evil greed etc these are just some created norms + and – thats the whole truth !
+ is Good
– is Evil
+ can be used to describe God
– can be used to describe the Satan

God and Satan exist have a will of their own and can be communicated with if you wish !

electrones + and –

you never answerd my question
what is the true form of a computer program ?
You're suppose to answer that question ! if you can you'll understand what Im talking about than you'll understand that demon and spirits are in fact really real ....

Stanislaw Giers   November 3rd, 2009 11:53 am ET

H. van der Ziel

You know suspecting me of Russian ancestory is an offense for my nation ! Not because of the Russians thought but because of your lack of knowledge ! Why don't you adleast research my name that should tell you where Im from !

So you wanna a proper discussion but you don't even know the basics I wonder about what can we discuss ! about how a big of a morron you are !!
Of course church lies an incredible discovery there ! Religion was created to manipulate us ! however it used some real knowledge in order to do so ! Just like Egiptian priests used an sun eclipse to tell people their Gods where angry our priests use their knowledge to manipulate us !

now becarefull its easy to be misslead by false rationalism or logic ! but here it is God didn't create the universe but was created with the universe ! now its hard for you to understand because you don't know about what are we talking of !

Computer chip does not hold the program its not a program its just a thing the program resides in it reads the program but the program in reality is something else !
Something you might see or not ! thats the real form of the program its like the light inside the lamp you see it but can think thats the program an inteligent energy !
don't tell me im lying or its false Im using it now thats how this message to you is transmitted !
and thats what Ghosts are ! they're thinking programs ! they do exist really and thats what God is in reality now its hard to understand for someone like you but ...... Its not like I care !

H. van der Ziel   November 3rd, 2009 12:21 pm ET

You keep on insulting me, and keep on giving arguments without proper a foundation. You base it all on nothing.

God was created by men, it's only an idea, that's all it is and that's all it will be. Just like ghosts and spirits. These things don't exist. Face the truth. See it from an angle that uses reason. spirits of dead people ? come on

You just keep on telling yourself all this crap. Do that.

Jeri   November 3rd, 2009 2:32 pm ET

God is a belief. It is fact in some people's minds and a delusion in others. I've been reading and this blog has been reduced to swearing and illogical agruments by Stanislaw. You have the freedom to think what you want and others may or may not agree with you.

The Buddhists are best off. They have a philosophy of ethical behavior with no god or deity. If you can't make a point here without being abusive, then you're point cannot be well taken.

Don't bother writing back to me with more rude nonsense Stan. Bye.

Stanislaw Giers   November 3rd, 2009 2:44 pm ET

no body asked for your opinion its my private war with that other guy so buzzz offfffff

There are things you can say nicelly and there are things that you must say being rude to make a point your opinion does not matter in this !

its kinda was a Halloween blog why not keep it like that !
so these jerks like

H. van der Ziel can go somewhere else and preach their ignorance as to the Budhists were their believes prove my point the only thing is that they don't belive in the central God as we do but its not important there's many good things you can learn from them and shintoism to my comments to that guy its a fight between him and me and its none of your buisness so spare yourself any future troubles and backdown !

H. van der Ziel   November 4th, 2009 10:05 am ET

You're the one being ignorant Stanislaw, you're the one that starts the insult, that says this is a fight.
It's not a fight, it's an arguement.
I came to this site hoping that people will listen and say 'hey, you know what ? there might not be a god, and these ghosts and spirits are actually not real, it's all in my head' .
But apparently, there are people like you who believe in this nonsense.
If that makes you happy, keep on believing it. I know better then that

Bianca Gibree   November 4th, 2009 1:43 pm ET

To H. van der Ziel
You need to own a Christian bible and see what God says about ignorance. There is a God, there is Jesus and there is the Holy Spirit. They are one a Trinity. God sent His Son Jesus to be Born of a Virgin, to walk amoung men, as a man, feel all a man feels. He was the Light of the world. And the Light was in Him. Mr Zeil, have you ever stolen, evensomething small? have you ever Lied? have you ever looked at a women with Lust in your eye? I guess that makes you a thief, a Liar and an Adulter. Lets not go no further. Jesus came to this earth so that he may Die for your sins, and mine, he paid the price so we won't have to. There is only one way to get to heaven and that is through Jesus. If you chosse not to believe in God, the Holy Spirit and Jesus, rest assured you will DIE and go to Hell with satan where there is screaming and nashing of teeth. I would perfer in the Trinity. I will pray Jesus opens your heart and eyes and I will see you in Heaven. There is a God and His son Jesus and the Holy Spirit, I will also pray for the people on the blog that need prayer for Salvation. Ghost are fallen angels, commanded by satan to imitate things we are familar with or just to scare us. Why would you want to believe in the bad of satan and not the good os Christ.

Bianca Gibree   November 4th, 2009 1:46 pm ET

God was not created by man. He always was

Stanislaw Giers   November 4th, 2009 2:23 pm ET

Bianca Gibree

you used to much of that church propaganda there but what you said made sense I know Jesus died for my sins too and I know Ill be punished in hell and yet I know that God allowed me to do what I wan't to ! Im am Judgmental but that was the task our lord gived upon me ! Im a demon !
which means Im suppose to test other people ! But I will not forget Im also the one being tested and I will recive my punishment and reward as well both at the same time probably

H. van der Ziel
you see God exists and is present everywhere that guy Bianca maybe a bit fanatic but adleast he knows that God exist in fact even these Jehova witnesses know that God exists I just don't like that they lie about him the truth is not so scary !!! So tell me why is it better to know that once you'll die its all over thats what I find weird assuming God does not exist i still will belive in him cause thats psychologically more comfortable !

However Im not so Ignorant I just proved my point !
You were seeking attention you yourself admitted it unfortunetly you should use my advice and go some place diffrent than this It was stupid and at the end you are an idiot it dosen't matter what you say you can't change the truth and stop dreaming You don't know anything I suspect you're some kid that tries to prove how grown up and smart he is because he dosen't belive in fairy tales ! but the truth is some fairy tales are real you just need to learn to read to understand ! You see Grown ups read things diffrently than kids they read what is written and what is not everything has two sides and when you write comments you do not just give what you write but also what kinda person you are ...argumenting in the end is a form of fight and true heroes reveal themself under pressure so some things are necceseary to be done althought for other they might seem 'rude','ignorant','Judgmental' they do not understand why these things are ! Do you understand ?? What I was trying to do if you do you'll understand it all. And as to God I gived you an answer guidance START THINKING THINGS THREW YOU DO NOT KNOW NOTHING YET YOU HAVEN"T SEEN ANYTHING YET OBSERVE THINGS THAT HAPPEN NEAR YOU AND THAN ASK YOURSELF WHATS GOING ON ! No body will say that you're right because you yourself do not belive in this thats why you're here you're looking for confirmation but there is no such things your theory is false ! God exists and is real ! accept it and start deciving yourself !

H. van der Ziel   November 5th, 2009 2:40 pm ET

@ Bianca

I know the bible and all those stories about jesus and his 'father' and that holy spirit that presented itself by a flame over the heads. I know the 10 commandments. I don't believe in them. I think they're good moral rules, but not in a religious way. I believe the bible is a book with good moral standards, but i don't buy the whole holy father crap.
I don't believe that jesus existed, nor that he died for my sins. That's just bullsh*t.

@ Stanislaw

Dude, Bianca is a girls name, moron.
Just because you can't live with the idea that you'll die and that there never will be a thing after that, doesn't mean there is a god and that it hás to go on. That's really a stupid reason to believe in god. And just because you say something without sientific fact or reason doesn't mean you've proven your point.
I think it's weird that you'd assume that i am a child. There is no evidence, there are no clues for that. You can't even write normal english, so in that matter, you're the child here. Next to that, i am not seeking for confirmation, i was hoping to change peoples thoughts, hoping that there were no idiots like bianca and yourself, given the fact that you guys believe in god. It is you that needs to think things THROUGH( not threw, that's the verb to throw, you douche). There is no god, there was no god, and there never will be a god. We humans live on this earth, and we control most of it, not some imaginary man in the sky who punishes everyone that doesn't do what he wants.
Please, i'm begging you, use reason, not some stupid book that tells us about a guy that created miracles. That's just plain gay

Stanislaw Giers   November 6th, 2009 11:06 am ET

H. van der Ziel
Belief system Is it neccesary for me the important thing is that he exists I don't need any other belief systems they're usseless to me ! God exists and does not thats what I belive he is the begining and the end I guess he described himself in the best way and while describing him Ill use his knowledge so for me God is who he is in accordance with his words "I am who I am" I guess the rest is for me to decide in which form I wish to accept because I think forms are created for our limited minds to choose for so he can be whatever he or I wish him to be and yet this will not be him but just somekinda avatar the presence the form he chooses to comunicate with me ! God's true form is that of none cause he has no shape and form he only shows us some shapes and forms because he knows we react to them ! So what these catolics say that God is with you and me might be true because im begining to think that its just where God is and that is everywhere ! so do you follow my logic if you look deeply into science (all science ) You see numerous possibilities you'll understand that in reality it is you and me who shape reality only you need to find some streanght to do so ! And just saying Im weak does not help! watch some anime I think good title would be "The End of the evangelion" do some research on the movie and tv series before you watch it ....also my english is for me to decide so there and you can't stop me from being rude its nothing you will change ! Do you think Im the one to easilly give up my knowledge and logic just because some sort of a morron will tell me to do so ? or do you think I will bow down in obidience What did you think what worth would it have if it could be so easilly lost ! You're belief system is worthless you choosed a belive system that tells you to sit do nothing and cry about your life because its a fault of God who does not exist ! Instead of that I belive in action logical action in doing things trying to living althought its hard there's always somekinda jerk who pushes you down but all attempts are in vain I won't fall down ! Its impossible for me to fail there's no such logical possibility for me to fail ! thats my belive system ! If Im doing something it will give some results negative positive it needs to be pointed out but the results are positive either way because they're the proof I achived something my activity was spotted I have been recorded registered ! its a proof of my life and existence and a mark for future generations cause this blog will not be deleted these informations you and I left here will remain here for future generations it will be interesting to see what people will think of it in a tousand years from now on !

And God he is here as well also reads these informations and registers it because collecting information is his ultimate purposse or that is I belive in which is only a factor of the whole truth cause as a human Im unable to see it all it would be to much ! I have a limited perception of this but its a huge perception in it all right cause I see clearly the things you do not ! Were both people one is standing with closed eyes it is you you are affraid to open your eyes Im the one who has already oppened my eyes but now I need to decide in which direction should I go there's four direction but Im only one person so I can't go in four directions I need to pick a direction and than when I go I can think did I pick the right thing or the wrong one etc etc etc its long ! very long but thats the point of my existence its better than doing nothing !

H. van der Ziel   November 7th, 2009 8:41 am ET

It's moron, not morron, you moron

Who are you to say that i've chosen a belief ( not belive) system that tells me to sit and do nothing ? That is not true. My beliefsystem isn't wrapped around a religion that tells me that there is a creator who created the earth and tells the people on the earth to worship him and follow his rules, otherwise you'll end up in hell. I don't have a beliefsystem that tells me that there is a god but yet there isn't one. If that beliefsystem works for you, then use it. It doens't work for me. My beliefsystem is that i have control over my life, without a creator that tells me what to do. I can go where i want ,say what i want and do whatever i wish to do, without being limited to my religion. I can say goddamned without even thinking about this man in the sky who might not like me saying that. I can curse and make fun of jesus without having to care about peoples feelings because the people i hang out with don't care about god, and don't believe in it either.

Your reason for god's existence is pretty lame, because when something bad happens you can either blame him or leave him out of it. And if there are good times in your life( which i think there aren't) you can either give yourself or god credit. It's way too easy. He is there or he isn't. If you say he isn't there you deny his existence.
You know, you're very limited if every time you write on this blog you call me names. But then again, you were already limited by believing in god

Stanislaw Giers   November 7th, 2009 11:06 am ET

You know you're only here because I don't want you here and Im calling you names ! Limited you say
Doing or being wherever you wan't I don't think you can do that
cause you already fallen in my trap and it will end only when you give up or I have enought of you but for now you're way to fun !
you use big words but can't back it up whatever I said I had my proof for it and I tried to explain it to you

You're ignorance is really the only limited thing here..,,You still won't prove anything you can't even explain yourself ! This is way to easy for me buahahaha !

poor smart you to not understand what kinda Joke you are !

you're pathetic to not realise that with each comment you give out more and more USSEFULL INFORMATION you're just an idiot to not understand it !

The game is simple as long I tell you to Shut up I know you won't shut up as long as I tell you that I control the situation you will try to prove I do not you're just as a puppet you do exactly what Im expecting you to do ! at the end you'll do everything and say everything I expect to hear from you !

You know its hard to dissprove a belief system that assumes that God Exists and does not exists at the same time cause !
in both examples God Exists or God does not exists it proves possible ! as to making jokes about Jesus or God you can do whatever you wish ! Its not that I care !! You've mistaken me with these church fanatics ! and by the way you're limited for attacking me for something trivial as God you are pathetic !
But you see people can actually choose to be so limited and still remain happy ironicly you're the one trying to blame God for your misfortune and thats why you defy his existence its a punishment for not helping you around isn't it !

here's the deal whatever you say proves nothing and its not a fight you might win you know ! Hey but please continue Im really enjoying my self ! HAHAHAHAHHA XD:)

Lisa   November 7th, 2009 5:20 pm ET

Ok. Time for Giers and van der Ziel et al to cut the crap and end this. Obviously, you have differing opinions, and name calling is not going to substantially prove anything. The rest of us are tired of the ongoing tirade of insults. Move on.

Stanislaw Giers   November 8th, 2009 4:00 am ET

I think its Van der Ziel who should cut the crap besides this blog is already dead !
is there anybody who wants to tell a ghost story ?
nope I don't see anyone it seems we can do as we please for now !

Stanislaw Giers   November 18th, 2009 8:06 am ET

You know you don't need to die you can be his guardian angel even now just do something with that nany
