Kate Gosselin: I've done tv, now on to movies

Posted: 08:04 AM ET

Answering what she described as "any and all reasonable questions" on the Monday episode of "Jon & Kate Plus 8," Kate Gosselin refuted allegations she and her now-estranged husband Jon staged their renewal of vows in Hawaii, she insisted her kids were OK on the show - and she left the door open for a second marriage.

Despite all the troubles being a reality-show star has brought her, Kate also said she wants to stay in the limelight even after her show goes off the air. "I've done enough years on TV that I feel like it's a normal, comfortable, natural place to be," she said. "I'd love to be in a movie at some point, I'd love to be the voice of a cartoon character in a movie for my kids. I think that would be fun."

As for being married again? "To be honest, I don't know," she said when asked by a viewer. "I really don't want to be married again, but I don't want to be alone. The alone-ness is really alone." For the most part, the questions steered clear of the family drama. Viewers were interested in Kate's shoe fetish, and whether she's still clipping coupons.
Kate, 34, did lash out at the media, saying the glare of the spotlight has made it hard to maintain friendships. But she was firm in her insistence that fame hasn't harmed her kids, a claim Jon, 32, made to try to end the show.

she needs to stop being a fame monger and focus on her children. her constant thirst for the limelight is perplexing.

Kate is no actress just beacuse she had a reality show she is not an actress .

Kate stated: "the glare of the spotlight has made it hard to maintain friendships."

When will Kate ever be responsible? Now she is blaming the media for her relationship problems. I would venture to say that it is due to her outrageous personality, or lack of it! Narcissistic people are too self absorbed and make terrible parents and friends.

As for being an actress. Now that is the Joke of the year! Typical Narcissistic thinking and behaviors.

Yes we know, Kate! (( ITS ALL ABOUT YOU!!! ))

I think Kate is already an actress. She is playing a great role of a great mother which is certainly the best act ever. She is in reality a selfish arrogant money hungry woman who has no qualms about exploiting her children for her own means. She constantly states she is tired of being part of a media frenzy then appears on every moment of t.v. exposure she can. Just a little bit of a hypocrit – No this is another great example of her excellent acting ability. Please Kate get off t.v. and be what you profess you want to be a mother if you know what that means.

OH KATE, PLEASEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!why not focus on what really put you in the spotlight in the first place- your children !!!!!!!!!!!there is not a man on the planet that could put up with you !!!!!you would run them off in no time!!!!!spare me your threat of making a movie, you are bad enough in a reality show !!!!!!

If she can do it, good for her. We all have dreams.

Lois   October 28th, 2009 3:44 pm ET

She is delusional - she is not an actress by any stretch of the imagination....just because she was on a reality tv series....give me a break.

Go look after your children and stop exposing them to this material crap.

Movies? This confirms that Kate is interested in fame more than her children. The recent dragging her whole family through mud with no concern for her children's long term well being was proof enough.

By the way Kate, being in the movies requires some talent. Get back to us when you find some. You better look very hard, because we haven't seen any demonstation of it, not on your show, not as a guest host on The View. . . no where. The media whoring continues.

Why not ACT like a mother. That is a fantastic ROLE and requires a lot of time to spend in rearing 8 children. You won't need to worry about a second husband until you lose that control freak attitude.

I would like to know why shows like "Entertainment Tonite" and "Extra" waste so much air time interviewing Kate Gosslin. They treat her like a queen who could do no wrong and do they think the viewers are so desperate in seeing her on every interview shows. I am already so fed up seeing and hearing about the Gosslins!
