Meghan McCain To Guest Host "The View"

Meghan McCain is heading back to "The View."

The divisive daughter of Sen. John McCain - Democrats kind of dig her softer side of the right wing ways; Republicans kind of don't - will return to guest host the chat show for a three-day stint, starting on Sept. 9. She's stepping in for famously conservative Elisabeth Hasselbeck, who is out on maternity leave. art_meghan_mccain_lkl

McCain, who has her own blog and is a columnist for Tina Brown's The Daily Beast Web site, first appeared on "The View" as a guest in March, raising eyebrows when she said that conservative radio host Laura Ingraham's comments about her weight - she mocked her as being a plus-size model who couldn't get onto "The Real World" - were "terrible" and made her want to pull a Tyra Banks by saying, "Kiss my fat ass!" to Ingraham.

Her appearance proved to be popular enough that she was invited back in April as a guest host for two days, filling in when Barbara Walters and Hasselback were out. Whoopi Goldberg told the perky blonde that she "can come back and play with us any time."

Who cares?

Any replacement for the infamously stupid Elisabeth Hasselbeck is welcomed. Hasselbeck lacks balance and epitomizes right wing ignorance. Is there any way Hasselbeck can be replaced permanently? Meghan presents a more constructive conservative voice.

I don't really trust anything Meghan says. I have to believe she has some stupid motive. Republicans cannot be trusted. Look at who they chose as a running mate for McCain. Sarah is a poor excuse for a knowledgeable politician. Megan is hooked on sex. Where are these right wing Republicans going with these two whack jobs.

Actually they should of hired Sarah Palin instead for at least she still seems to have a huge following
where as for Meghan,
oh God no comment that I would put in writting!

I agree with you Rose about Hasselbeck. . .I also, think that Whoopi has more COMPASSION for people & children than that SO-CALLED MEAN SPIRITED CHRISTIAN Hasselbeck.

Get Rid of Hasselbeck !!.....she wanted 7 children, then she said 10,,,bet she doesn't have any more everything seems to be so easy for her & perfect..Rose is correct ....

I have written the View before to get rid of Hasselback. She only sees straight ahead. Evidently life does not seem to through her any curves. She is to single minded and mean spirited. I remember her crude and rude remarks about Michelle Obama. She praised McCains' wife to no end thereby showing that she was to biased and remains so to relate information. She probably played up to McCains' wife to do some social climbing. I woulod not trust anything she has to say.

Baba Walters told Hasselbeck. "do not take your children to the white house"..but she did without taking an extra diaper for her son,,he has a soiled diaper she said, tk him to the rest rm got rid of the contents & put the soiled diaper bk on..odors were offensive all thru GWBush oval office/after B Obama won/...& she told this story on Jay Leno Tonight show !!! NO CLASS, NO BRAINS !!...we could not believe our ears when we heard this....

The View's producers refuse to get rid of Hasselbeck even though an entire website was created for the sole purpose of firing her. Thousands of people signed on to get rid of her from the show. That's not a good sign for any co-host, yet Barbara Walters continues to keep the offensive Hasselbeck. Why? There are so many more suitable women who could co-host. Hasselbeck induces the "cringe factor" and is has a negative effect on the show.

She opposed the morning-after pill (even in the case of RAPE and INCEST) stating she believes life begins at conception. A person who supports denying access to women in need, due to her personal religious beliefs (chosing myth over science in legal and medical matters).

C'mon Barbara – give us a break after so many years. NO MORE HASSLEBECK. Bring on someone who can think.

The only organization that should hire Palin is the circus. Filled with clowns and buffons. No precious air time to be wasted on an air head. It's no surprise that Hasselbeck introduced Palin during the election. Monkey colonies claim large followings too.

It is very amusing that those people who turn down abortion at anytime, because life beginns at conception, never raise their voice when thousands of civilians are killed in wars started by us.
