All of a sudden everyone wants to give their opinion on the best way to address the health care problem in America. It didn't appear to be a problem during past administrations. We finally have a president on-board who is dedicated to bringing about the change that's needed, and now there is a problem. Health care in its present state has been allowed to exist through administration after administration without the resistance that the country is now giving President Obama. In pass administrations, the middle class American has shoulder the expense for the rich and the poor. The present President is attempting to give this group a break, and the country is complaining. At least we have someone in office trying to correct the wrongs of the pass. It is a reason that the black population is a high percentage of those to benefit from this health care package, and President Obama is not responsible for it being that way. President Obama is not for blacks whites, blue, reds, nor green. He is for the people, and he has always emphasized his concerns for the middle-class American. There is a war between good and evil going on in this country, and each man will be judge accordingly.

Elizabeth Edwards is a remarkable, intelligent, lovely lady who presented facts, not fiction, when voicing her support for heath care reform. Shame on you Larry, for bringing up the "personal" stuff. The lady was there to discuss serious issues relating to heath care in our country. It was inappropriate for you to ask about the DNA situation involving her husband.

The only reason why Obama is championing health-care is because he thought he could get an easy win on it. We'll he didn't think the citizens were going to object. He should fire his radical-left advisors. They don't represent the majority.
The Dems got it wrong in 1993 and they are doing the same thing now.

The sad thing is that the message is being distorted for the sake of politics and not the cause. The constant argument that the use of get mindlessly tossed into the conversation in an attempt to help justify the cause in regard to the government’s demand that ‘everyone’ must have health care and he argues that they are using the analogy of, ‘It is like “an” auto insurance.

If you drive a car you have to have auto insurance”. Does that mean that the twist is that the government is really saying if you choose to live, you will have to have Health Care coverage?

Well after being left out of the system. It is exactly what it means. The previous government administration excused it by defending the free enterprise and his message was that you will be left out because he never said anything to the Health Insurances for using this infamous label of a “Prior existence condition.”

I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) in February 2000 after my husband died in 1998. I had my child in 1993 and in the end being a widow to a World War II Veteran and having a young child at the time 6 years old and being left out from the Health Care System it was not a religious experience.

I had to make a quick decision to move back to Puerto Rico where MS is considered a “catastrophic condition.” At the time I just wanted to know how was my health situation but the health care system in the United States in one of my biggest exacerbation decided to send me out of the hospital at 2:00 am on a private ambulance to my home at the time. There was no medication indicated or doctor’s appointments or a follow up doctor appointment.

I was simply left out like a garbage bag and the meaning to respect to my rights as a patient were never handled. I had to that myself with a recent exacerbation of MS. I had to make my decision for my sake and for my child. I just wanted answers as any other patient will do with a medical condition but the Health System in the United States at Miami, Florida just left me out of the picture because I was diagnosed with MS. Now I was expendable.

My right to choice was taken away from me. My rights as a patient were taken away from me. The Congress cannot entrust the Current System which is corrupted and the System has to be revised to protect consumers with Chronic Conditions. The system cannot continue to be left out. Consumers and Americans should pursue the Health Care in America. They cannot subject themselves only to please the free enterprise.
It seems to me that the Free Enterprise has being allowed to get out with Murder and something has to be done to keep a watchful eye over the so call system. The system is not perfect and we cannot create such a monster to do things like this without being reprehended.

I would like for Mike to understand that we humans are not indestructible. We have to push for the leadership to create the laws that will protect the less fortunate. If we combine this situation with denying Vocational Rehabilitation to Persons with Disabilities it will be the worst nightmare.

The right of choice was taken away from me ever since those adjectives of “whiners” and the constant use of the expression “less keep safe the free enterprise.” The free enterprise is composed of 500 companies or Strong Financial Institutions in America.

They do not care for the patients with Chronic Conditions. I do not have any choice but to entrust leaderships in the government and the nonprofit organizations to protect me. The “auto insurance’ analogy in a way worries me because the poor cannot afford to pay everything and I hope that the leadership will be sensible enough to American’s who are less fortunate financially.

I hope I will have the choice to protect my health so I in turn, can protect my child to become a responsible adult that will not break her back for the so call free enterprise. I hope that the fortunate will not become an instrument to the so call free enterprise and we all can get the Health Care Reform that we need.
