When Reagan was President there were thousands of job loss along with stocks that went down and Family famers were losing Farms.
Willie was one that went aroung trying to help the Farmers of America.

Willie is a voice crying out words of wisdom about our Farmers and inviromental issues we face today. I wish people would open their eyes, ears and wallets to Farm aid and the lessons to be learned about how we can take control and survive via our family farms and wise choices.

Ms. Cheney is so wrong on her characterization of Canadian medical care. Contrary to what she has said,Canadians do get to chose their doctors and specialists. I also have never known anyone who has not had serious health issues dealt with promptly. Those who complain of waits are for the most part, patients whose issues are not urgent, although they think they are. Indeed there are waits for non life threatening problems and that is probably due to an unfortunate doctor shortage. Is our system perfect – of course it isn't, but we all get treated – rich and poor equally . Serious illness does not bankrupt Canadians and that's a comfort I like having. Long live Canadian heath care.

Hi everyone.i would like to inform you about Obama healtcare reform. Why everybody give us an example from Canada about how you have to wait 6 months for a surgery? I am european but if you come in my country( doesn't matter where I am from), just check, you will see different situation. If you go to emergency room, you don't have to wait many hours just to check in plus is free. That's why we pay tax in medicare there.Plus if I need some pills from farmacy, I don't have to see a doctor( to give him 300$ just to see my face), this is mafia on face., I can get a simple pain killer fro the farmacy, the farmacist man he know everything about your illness( that's way he have a school not like here if you ask them something they said: I don't know, you have to see the doctor but is saturday and iis closed).Mr,Obama will change something here soon, hope GOD.So, please post my email online and show the people how is healtcare in Europe.Just one example: why some VIP or actors go in Europe( Germany, Italy,....)for a surgery or tratment? because is cheap and fast and good. So, one more time, check how is in Europe no in Canada and...GOD BLESS AMERICA!

Dairy Industy is in the worst crisis ever. We need Willie and other celebrities to get the word out to the media and the consumers. Consumers pay way more than farmer gets middle man gets rich. Farmers need cost of production and supply managment. Best thing out there to save the dairy farmer is bill S889. We need the media to grab hold of the farmers stories and really start educating the american people on what is happening to the american farmers and if they are not careful, where will there milk be coming from? We know what laws our country has but not all countries have the same. Wake Up and help get the government to help the farmers.

Love you Willie!

I work in the fertilizer industry have for 11 years and it has taken a beating. We need our farmers, we need it home grown. You go into Walmart and the fruit don't smell like fruit, It ship from Mexico or overseas, A lot of farms have gone to turkey waste to put on their fields. then you wonder why there is a wide spread out break of sickness. LETS STEP UP AND BACK OUR FARMERS. Then they will back you and keep you fed

Terry, TX   July 22nd, 2009 9:16 am ET

Well Willie....why don't you ask Obama to give or Redistribute the 2.9 billion dollars that he gave in February in his Pork Package to Weatherization for 20 million poor people who are too lazy to go to Wal-Mart and buy a $2 tube of caulk and caulk their own windows...give that money to the farm industry. How about the catfish money....$2 billion for advanced battery trails etc...
Before long we will just be buying our food from Mexico.....Obama won't have a problem with that.

Donna   July 22nd, 2009 9:52 am ET

I very much agree with rmbf the media–National not just local media needs to get the message out to America about the dairy-ag crisis that is going on. The average person doesn't know what is going on!!
America is in real danger of losing massive numbers of FAMILY FARMS!! The government has been baling out banks and the auto industry which is worthwhile, however, think , where will the food come from when we lose too many farms-Factory Farms?? I'd rather eat food from the FAMILY FARM>
A BIG THANK YOU TO WILLIE AND FARM AID for helping to bring this issue forth!!

A reasonable question to Larry who sits right beside him:

WHY do no media outlets see and remark upon the amazing resemblance I notice between MJ "friend" M. Brando and Blanket Jackson? Look at the memorial photos of this seems so clear to me........not that it matters to him and his siblings..MJ was and always will be their beloved father but still in case of medical emergency later on in Blanket's life...... IF M. Brando is the Bio Dad, the family raising him should know or be told....IF that is the case.

I do think it odd the media has not fastened on to this obvious resemblance but perhaps that will be a good thing for this sad little boy.............just wanted you to at least think about it Larry, as you know all the players involved personally. Thanks for listening.....

naila   July 24th, 2009 4:37 pm ET

would it be possible for you to call Janet Jackson on your show......has MJ been buried??

When art, music and work come together, our culture is enlarged, and it might just survive to a higher level than speculation booms and bursts...

In Puerto Rico the American Psychiatric and Psychological Association have basically taken over the VA and are being allowed to use outlook to their free will. In outlook they are freely advertising and asking other psychiatrists to support the idea to have the President of the United Sates let them take over money and management of the SanJUan VA and start a pilot universal health plan covering the island of Puerto Rico and their veterans so that it can be incorporated later into the States.

The data they are using to show the President their capacity to do that is taken from their application of performance measurements of the Stategic Plan for Mental Health and Suicide Prevention, a program that has resulted in a large increase of veterans suicide rate in the United States.

We know that the suicide rates in Puerto Rico is not being trully measured and if low are due to the older programs still use that both APA's want to replace.

We believe they are not really thinking about the veterans best interest but private interest is their first.

Because they are promoting visits to psychiatrist taking place for only 15 minutes every 4 months we also believe there are pharmaceutical companies' interests involved.

Larry King showed an astounding callousness when Elizabeth Edwards answered his question of how she was doing in some self effacing manor and he responded "you are stage four aren't you?" He and his guests know that this finger in the wound approach of his is the cost of using his show to reach a large audience for a cause. It sickens me to hear an interviewer show the real purpose in his interview, to titillate the viewer for ratings..

Joseph Daniel Brian Lawlor   August 30th, 2009 8:26 am ET

Our grandparents and those before them were more self sufficient as a community body but big business gradually bought out the small businesses and moved it all to one central area. Leaderships must come back to the local level to reinvest and rebuild that which was taken away. What does a community body need Larry? It needs food so farming better be nearby. It needs shelter, clothing and a roof over its head. What does it like to do for entertainment. Build a community brewery and other wants to the community but build what it needs before building what it wants.
Government, Industry, Finance, Academic, Military, Media, Religion(spirituality+ethics) and the Peoples. The first seven to be properly wrapped around each individual out there as we rebuild from the local level on up where the top end and bottom end will meet in the middle.
Growing contamination within our food lines and increasing food costs will force the local level to get back into farming to feed the local body.

I think Larry, is one of the finest, if not THE FINEST, in the staff at CNN.

Not afraid to axe the "hard ?'s" and never afraid to let "his" viewpoint be heard.

I wonder who will fill his shoes, if and when he retires.

Nobody I've seen so far, other than Lou Dobb's maybe.

Maydell McGahey   October 18th, 2009 8:14 pm ET

Regarding the Balloon Boy: My Mother and I have noticed that he has been sick on TV on his last couple of appearances and wondered if it might have been caused by the GLOSTICK that he was chewing on the whole time his dad was holding him on the interview. We just prayed that he wouldn't get the end off of it. The glo in the dark stick cannot be meant for human consumption and the Dad should have taken it away for safety , but did not.
Simply Concerned
Thank You

Please discuss the current frightening news about Bisphenol A contamination in canned foods and plastic containers. Are we all being poisoned? Drinks, juices, water, mayonnaise, ketchup, salad dressing, PET FOODS, soups, anything safe? Do we have to grow our own orange trees to have safe orange juice? Can we never have another diet drink or a bottle of water? What is happening to our beloved cats and dogs who are so small, and often eat canned food daily? We have to make a BIG NOISE about this to get food manufacturers to stop poisoning us, our children and our pets.
