Jackson's Final Panic

Posted: 12:33 AM ET

by Gerald Posner via The Daily Beast

t1home_michael_jackson_05_giA close Michael Jackson confidant tells The Daily Beast's Gerald Posner he believes the star triggered his death with a foolhardy plan to void a concert commitment: mixing pills to prompt a minor hospital visit. Plus, behind the scenes at the stormy meetings where Jackson’s advisers told him he was insolvent; threats that creditors would seize his assets if he didn’t do the concerts; friends’ worries that he couldn’t physically do the tour; and the pop star’s bartering of performances in exchange for works of art.

A close confidant of Michael Jackson tells The Daily Beast that he believes that the superstar was so determined to avoid a rigorous tour schedule that he intentionally took a large amount of prescription drugs in order to induce a hospital visit—potentially triggering a medical escape clause in his performance contract—but wound up accidentally overdosing instead.

“Like a child who doesn’t want to go to school, Michael thought he could get away from his obligations if he had a ‘note from the doctor.’”

This top adviser, who spoke about this explanation for the first time on the condition of anonymity, says that he believes Jackson was determined to force the AEG Group, the promoter of his 50-concert London series scheduled to commence next month, to reduce the number of dates. But the adviser says that Jackson was also well aware that he was subject to serious cancellation penalties if he failed to show up for any gigs. Medical infirmity, a standard clause in most contracts like this, might have provided him a consequence-free out. AEG did not return calls for comment.

Give me a break!!

I would love to see people be human, and all the dysfunctionally focused to get a life. I find it shameful the death of any human being should be pulled apart. Lets be what we would expect if one of our loved ones died. Its a heart-felt thing, not fodder for news ratings.

Bless you Michael, thank you for all you gave to make my life full of smiles and excitement, and may you rest in peace.

I'm only 20 years old, but I Loved listening to Michael perform! He was an inspiration to us all. He is living proof that when someone knocks you down, you just get right back up! My heart and prayers go out to Michaels family and foremost his children!

Radhika Chhabra   July 1st, 2009 2:48 am ET

I just can't believe it! People are still indicting Michael of doing something he didn't do. So many people close to him are coming out and disclosing the fact that Michael was surrounded by doctors prescribing him deadly medicines..but still ...people have to blame him for his death! I just wish that I had money to visit Neverland on Friday to see and tell Michael how much I love him..how much he gave to the world and how much he's loved by so many people!

john,rn   July 1st, 2009 3:56 am ET

Perhaps every story sounds reasonable here especially if he attempted to obtain a "get out of jail free card" if indeed Michael felt he was locked into 50 concert dates in which he knew he couldn't possibly complete, and then attempted to legitimize it by a supposed need for hospitalization, which sadly backfired. As far as the nurse's propofol story, when insomnia really hits hard and persists sometimes for years, individuals look for new avenues on which they may be able to sleep restfully. I can speak from a personal experience when I thought it would be a great idea to go to an anesthetist who would administer drugs (like propofol) and monitor me while I slept, after several episodes of anxiety post 9-11. I thought it would be wonderful if we had walk -in sleep clinics, and I am an RN. I think the registered nurse you interviewed on your show perhaps has made an assumption that Michael may indeed have taken the Propofol drug because he was found pulseless in his bed, and had mentioned being insomniac. Propofol used by anesthesia personnel is a short acting, rapidly body eliminating drug with a short half- life, so I doubt Michael had taken Propofol.

My first and perhaps last CNN blog, but anything for Michael Jackson!
You know, this is so painful and infuriating!! Though I thank CNN for covering Michael's surreally painful, unthinkable, devostating and oh, God, UNTIMELY death, I am so disappointed in CNN!
I truely trusted this news organization until today (6/30/09) when it became no better than the thousands of tabloid shows on our air! Yes, I absolutely WANT and NEED to know the cause of death. But Michael would NEVER intensionally kill himself and leave his kids. Which brings me to the reason I'm writing this at all! How can CNN fall into the trap of reporting trash about these kids not being his, or even Debbie Rowe's????? This does NOT belong on CNN!
I'm praying that these poor kids who just lost the father they adore are not allowed near television right now, because if they are imagine what they're feeling????? Michael IS their father! And even if he's not biologically, which I DON'T believe, they are a part of him! He raised them, loved them beyond belief and cared for them! That's all that matters! How would you feel in their situation? What DNA test? Do we really need to put them through that NOW?
Enough is enough with the stupid rumors, scandles, allegations and pure scum and dirt thrown at this man his whole life! All he wanted to do is give us music, make us think and WOW us. He didn't ask for any of this media frenzy EVER! Can we please mourn him and celebrate him the way he deserves so he can be in peace?????????? I don't see how he can be at peace when his kid's lives are about to be a circus all because they have money. Let these kid's mourn their father, remember him with love and not question themselves!! It makes me cringe when I think of them listening to this garbage. CNN should NOT give this the time of day!!!
Michael is magical! Michael was godsend to his fans and the world! There WILL never be another. His songs are untouchable and his message to help, to heal, and to love should always, ALWAYS be remembered, and carried on! PLEASE let's stop this insanity and help him and his family be at peace! My thought's and prayers are with the Jackson family! I only wish I could be there to pay my respects, to someone I respect, defend, LOVE and will NEVER forget! Michael has impacted me through his words and dance in ways no one will ever understand. To lose him is so deeply painful. It cuts like a knife–he's out of my life! He'll always be in my heart! I love you Michael Jackson! Rest in PEACE!

Dear CNN:

As much as I grieve the passing of Michael Jackson, and the pain it has caused his family, children, and fans, I must object to CNN’s unprofessional reporting on this sensationalistic event. Michael Jackson was a great entertainer, and I acknowledge him for that…however, in reality, Jackson was a tragic & self-defeating figure – not someone I would want my son to emulate. Jackson admits to abuse by his father, Joe Jackson, who is estranged from his wife & Jackson’s mother, Kathryn Jackson, a most honorable lady mother & grandmother.

Michael Jackson was a great singer & dancer!!!
Michael Jackson was also emotionally immature, an incompetent and dangerous parent, (recall him holding one of his children over a balcony in Berlin, placing HIS OWN CHILD at great physical risk!!!) Jackson also was charged twice with CHILD MOLESTATION, & admitted to spending the night in the same bed as a child with whom he had no significant relationship…this is bizarre & outrageous behavior. I am suspicious, (although admittedly it was not legally proven,) that Jackson engaged in child sexual abuse and illegal serving of alcohol to a minor!!!

Jackson was fiscally irresponsible…as a father, he spent way more, (by a factor of at least 10,) than his income allowed…as a father myself, when one chooses to become a father, it is time to sacrifice & be responsible!!! I, as a MEDICAL DOCTOR, INTETIONALLY DO not even own an automobile, because my son’s financial security comes before my convenience!!!

Jackson also clearly held himself in racial disgust, as evidenced by his actions, over the years, to appear “white,” (I am “Caucasian,” and I am proudly, part NATIVE AMERICAN, BEING A DIRECT DESCENDANT OF POCOHANTAS!!!) THIS ATTITUDE IS CLEARLY NOT AN ATTITUDE WE WANT TO EMULATE!!!

Finally, as a board-certified medical doctor in good standing, I have used Diprovan, as indicated, as a serious amnesic & anesthetic in the Emergency Department for critically ill patients…Diprovan is only appropriately used on patients in the Emergency Department under the constant oversight and care a nurse and a doctor ONLY IN AN EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT OR AN INTENSIVE CARE UNIT!!! Jackson‘s prior use of Diprovan was evidence of his unfortunate drug dependency, AND MORE IMPORTANTLY, OF HIS DOCTOR(S’) ABUSE OF THE USE OF DIPROVAN!!!

Said doctor(s) should be held to account by the appropriate medical boards, legal authorities, and should be liable for medical malpractice and criminal culpability for criminal negligence for wreckless disregard for human life!!!

Jackson is, in part, an admirable artist, and a tragically emotionally damaged figure, who was the object of the nefarious and greedy disregard of the medical profession!!!

I prefer that CNN focus on the brave acts of Iranians demanding fair elections and freedom, and American soldiers and Iraqis who died and still act in the name of fairness and FREEDOM…THE TRUE EVERYDAY HEROES AND HEROINS OF AMERICAN VALUES AND HUMAN RIGHTS!!!

Let me first start by saying to all you MJ haterz, keep on hating no one cares about your mean and discontented spirit or comments. Your the reason this world is full of hate and anger....besides you guys are just making Michael bigger than life...in death! Believe that!

Now this message goes out to the media I would like to know what is more important to you? Getting A STORY OUT, or getting THE STORY OUT?What is more important being THE FIRST TO GET A STORY OUT? Or is it THE FIRST TO GET THE STORY RIGHT?

I can understand why some are so over hearing about Michael Jackson and that is because you are all in a race to be the first to break some sort of news. Well let me just say B.S. is NOT news.

Finding some woman on the street who says Michael talked to her about drugs without any credibility, to give her a national platform and sling dirt on a man who is no longer with us is by far a shocking realization of why celebrities hide away from world, and hide away from their fans.

Its not even us they are afraid of it's you mudslinging sensationalistic perverts.People are talking about how Farrah's death was overshadowed by the eclipse of media on Michael well I can say at least Farrah will rest in peace and no one is dissecting her every move she made in life and how much debt she left in death. At least she doesnt have a whole bunch of leaches comming out of the wood work talking bad on her for their 2 mins of fame.
I have watched every major(supposedly) News networks, slander, and defame this man and his work. These blood sucking vampires trying to suck the life out of Michael Jackson, his death and his Legacy. I can tell you we dont want to hear about all your speculations, phony revelations, or your inquries on who is his kids real father or their mother or how in debt you think Michael is.

If you take a hint and look around the world at how he touched people...those are the stories we want if your gonna continue talking about Michael stop trying to sensationalize every salacious angle you can find.THIS IS WHATS WRONG WITH OUR WORLD TODAY!

You must remember media, whether you liked him or not he was a human being! He was a son, a brother, and a father! This man was a pioneer, a musical genious, a Philanthroper, a great inspiration, this is a loss, a GREAT LOSS......this MAN has died!Have you no honor? No matter how he died,no matter how much money he had, what kind of trials and tribulation he went through in his past he has died! However in his journey with us he touched this world! There have not been many, if not anyone else to do that. So stop trying to tear him down to our level, it can never be done.Besides a mother just lost her son, 3 kids just lost the only father they know. SO SOMEONE PLEASE RISE ABOVE THE GUTTER BEFORE ITS TOO LATE TO HAVE SOME SORT OF RESPECT...SHOW AT LEAST A LITTLE BIT OF DIGNITY!

Why dont you guys take a look at the man in your mirror!

R.I.P. MJ Forever

CNN was very dissapointing in its coverage last Thursday. The TMZ site had confirmed Michael's death at 5:20 ET, and CNN would not announce the obvious for another hour 15 minutes. I can understand the tabloid syndrome. But, for the entire duration, it seemed that Michael Jackson was being referred to in the past tense already. Then up came this "coma". Was there one? And, after all was finally announced by the L.A. times and other major TV networks. CNN"s bottom line is that it remained "unconfirmed". It's almost as if that CNN could not be the first to confirm his passing, then the plan was "let's be the last". The whole thing was treated like a Presidential Election, being careful before announcing the projected winner.

I remember CNN in 2001 when 9/11 occurred, and Daryn Kagan was anchoring. She was doing a great job until she got pulled by Aaron Brown. Why couldn't they pull Wolf Blitzer on the Michael Jackson breaking story and put in Anderson Cooper (a much better after-work persona). Mr. Blitzer is better for mid-day anchoring, in my opinion.

I really haven't watched CNN since that evening, not even Larry, which is my favorite program on CNN. Because I know what I'm going to see; tons of repititive sickening slow motion footage of the "final days" etc. with classy slick technology embellishing every move made. CNN.com makes for a good outlet in these circumstances. We can read what we want when we want, and we aren't at the mercy of talking heads, whoever it is.

Suggestion for the public: stop following the story for about a year. When that curiosity about Michael Jackson surfaces, just download some tunes on your media player.

Barbara Ann Jones R.N.   July 1st, 2009 11:52 am ET

Wrong. "This is it; ...my last curtain call...". Michael wanted to sing to his fans (and get the cash he needed to set things up right, as who wants to do what he does at 50!) Back in Jan (according to Nurse Lee....Dr. Lee) who cured herself of colon cancer, saw the kids for a cold. The pain is real and the effects of the narcotics is exactly what he complained of. He would deal with that later..no other options placed before him. (Nurses are teachers) Asking for help with sleep for months (sleep centers in NYC are excellent) pain management....forget it....you can all read it later, but the story is unfolding before us right now and with each new piece I am assamed of being a nurse...a "REAL" nurse no less. If everyone I am seeing on TV sent $5.00 to a start up fund Michael could rest at Neverland forever; children could be served there following Michael's dream and his own kid's would have a secure and proud future. It is the least we can give for all he gave us....We are the World....aren't we?

Spartacus   July 1st, 2009 1:03 pm ET

This JUST HAS TO BE SAID.

Everyone aknowledges that this man made a stellar contribution to the entertainment world, and speficially the music buisness...HOWEVER...there are 2 things I have noticed that are HUGE THINGS which have resulted as a direct result of the way this entire matter has been delat with by the press and those surrounding The Jackson family.

#1- ALMOST EVERY SINGLE ONE OF MICHAEL JACKSONS LIVE PERFORMANCES THAT I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO FIND, WATCH AGAIN, DOWNLOAD, EXAMINE.,..AMAZINGLY, INCREDIBLY ARE ALL, EVERY SINGLE ONE EXCEPT ONE 3 MINUTE SONG I FOUND I CALLED "GIONE TO SOON" WHICH HE SANG AT A GALA FOR SAMMY DAVIES JR. IS "LIP- SYNCHED", INCLKUDING , SHOCKINGLY, WHAT I ORIGINALY THOUGHT WAS ONE OF THE GREATEST LIVE PERFOMANCES EVER, MICHAEL JACKSON LIVE IN BUCHAREST 1993, AND WHIOCH I HAVE NO DISCOVERED IS MORE THAN 70% LIP SYNCHED...IN OTHER WORDS...IN ALMOST EVERY SINGLE LIVE PERFOMASNCE HE DID, HE WAS FRAUDULANT, PASSING IT ALL OFF AS REAL,M WHEN IN FACT IT WAS NOT.

I WANT TO STRESS THAT I LOVED THE GUY's music TOO AND AM not LOOKING TO DO ANYTING HERE EXCEPT CALL IT LIKE IT IS...

...OTHER SINGERS HAVE HAD THEIR LIVES AND CAREERS RUINED, SOME ARE ALREADY DEAD BECAUSE THEY DID THIS...FRAUDUALNT "LIP-SYNCH" THING, AND I WONDER IF MOST OF HIS HARD CORE FANS ARE IN AS MUCH DENIAL AS HE WAS FOR MOST OF HIS SHORT LIFE?

#2- FARRAH FAWCETT...I CANNOT STOP THINKING ABOUT THIS PERSON WHO IN ALL LIKELIEHOOD AND FOR ALL INTENTS AND PURPOSES WAS TEN TIMES THE HUMAN BEING MJ EVER WAS...EVER...AND SHE HAS BEEN PRACTICLY FORGOTTEN BY THE PRESS. HERE IS A WOMAN WHO SHOWED MORE CHARACTHER IN DEATH THAN MJ SHOWED IN HIS ENTIRE TIME ON EARTH...{WHEN I HEAR The REVRAND AL SHARPTON AND JOE JACKSON SPEWING THEIR BS GARBAGE AND ATTEMPTING TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF MJ'S DEATH FOR PERSONAL GAIN I WANT TO BE SICK TO MY STOMAC}

THIS WOMAN FILMED HERSELF DYING WITH THE HOPE THAT IT MIGHT HELP SAVE EVEN 1 LIFE.

JUST FYI...MJ HAS NOW DIED IN WHAT WILL 100% TURN OUT TO BE COMPLETE AND UTTER SELF ABUSE AND CAN ANYONE EVER ARGUE AT THIS POINT THAT DESPITE ALL HIS WONDEFRUL TALENT, HE WAS A SICK AND TROUBLED, TRAGIC, AND PATHETIC HUMAN BEING who somehow got away with SWINDELING HIS FANS
INTO BELIEVING THAT HE WAS GIVING THEM HIS 100% ON STAGE...WHICH HE CLEARLY WAS NOT...AND EVERYONE NEEDS TO GO RE-EXAMINE EVERY SINGLE PERFOMRANCE HE HAS EVER GIVEN LIVE IF THEY ACTUALY THAUGHT ALL THIS TIME THAT HE WAS ACTUALY SINGING,

THERE IS, IN MY HUMBLE REVIEW, A HUGE CREDIBILITY ISSUE WITH REGARD TO HIS LIVE SINGING...THERE IS NO QUESTIONING HIS BRILLIANCE AS A DANCER, BUT ALL I HAVE SEEN OVER AND OVER, CONCERT AFTER CONCEERT, LIVE PERFOMANCE AFTER LIVE PERFORMANCE, THE SINGING IS LIP SYNCHED...AND HE SAID NOTHING, AND NEIUTHER DID HIS FANS !!!

WE NEED TO CLEBRATE HEROES ON THIS EARTH, NO DOUBT ABOUT IT

FARRAH WAS a HERO
MJ, WHILE A WONDEFRULLY TALANTED PERSON, WAS THE FURTHEST THING FROM THAT !!!

Rest In Peace Michael...Thank-you so much for all the joy you brought the world, Me and my dad would sit and listen to you in the 80's and I grew up listening to MJ. My dad has passed as well and his name was Michael and my son's name is Michael. I love the name and miss my dad dearly and we all miss Michael Jackson. Too bad his life was in shambles and hopefully he didn't feel like there was nowhere he could turn for help. R.I.P...

Let michael rest in peace he gave his all to his fans the best we all can do is let his music bring us together as one his legacy and music will live on forever.

Dodie ~ California   July 1st, 2009 9:49 pm ET

@ Spartacus

Unless you have the actual films of MJ and the technological ability to freeze, stop each frame....and even then it is difficult to determine lip sinking unless from a professional with the correct equipment and the original film. Downloading condenses everything. You can NOT determine from down loading anything. I only suspect some lip sinking because of his hard dancing would cause heavy breathing. Difficult to sing when one is out of breath.

2. This is NOT a tit for tat... one star against another star. They both had their gifts. The only difference is that Farrah was NOT world known like MJ. I watched CCTV, central china TV and they did a 30 minute tribute to MJ and nothing on Farrah, most likely because they do not know who Farrah is! So the fuss is over a WORLD star, not an American star, even though many Americans seem to think they are the world!!!

Being a stage 3 Cancer survivor myself, Filming the death does NO one any good, especially if she elected NOT to have specific treatments that would or could have saved her life. If she filmed her survival... then people could learn from it! So what you are saying, at least for me, has no meaning!

Michael made bad choices that probably cost him his life. We do NOT know that for a fact as of yet. Farrah did make bad choices that probably cost her life. So whats the difference. Give it at rest! Good Grief!!!

If you do NOT want to listen about MJ, then you have the freedom to turn the channel!!!

latasha   July 1st, 2009 9:50 pm ET

Long live the king! R.I.P michael jackson showing love from motown thank you for your art, your endless talent michael can never be duplicated.

Dodie ~ California   July 1st, 2009 10:05 pm ET

@ Drew E. Fenton,

Unless you know the man in person for a long time, your opinions are just that! Just opinions! You have no idea what his thoughts were, as I. I only hope after you die, someone does not spew Conjecture about you as you are with MJ! He was human, we all have our problems. The only difference is..... he has been under a microscope for 45 years out of his 50 year life. You have no idea how bad parents treat their children until you work in the field! What MJ did was nothing to what I have seen.

Pop Princess   July 2nd, 2009 12:33 am ET

My friend and I were discussing the sudden and tragic death of the KING. It seems strange the doctor and the unknown male conducted CPR for 45!!!!!!! This is ridiculous!!!! As I understand the brain, can not survive for over a minute without oxygen. This would lead to some sort of disability. So my friend felt MJ’s unconsciousness might have been common. And his heart stopped and was revived regularly. But this time he was not revived. Why? Is it because the doctor is African Americans? Could he have survived if the doctor looked the same as him? I think not!! We must wait for more hard information. Right????

We have a problem with all these snakes alleging their “so called knowledge.” These persons seem to want 16 minutes or so in the spot light. This may be their sole reason, but what about the media. It is dislikable for them to discuss MJ’s minor children in such a distasteful way as they have. Yes, I want news. Even more than this. I want news that’s ethical, honest, and accurate. This has not happened. MJ is their father period.

MJ’s death will not be in vain. I am also a perfectionist. It is hard to stop. I often want to pick and pick at stuff. Unlike MJ, I do not live in a fishbowl. No one besides my family and close friends really know me. But MJ was he KING. What I have learned is you can not please some and some people are jealous. I will be me. I am not perfect. Well almost. I will take care myself more. I will think positive and believe the best. What do you think?? One more thing. MJ could have used strong women. One who is a Christian and black. One would have help him not to focus on what he lacked, did not have or missed out on. No one has had a perfect life or ever will. We have to approach life tribulations with the frame of thought that the glass is half full rather half empty. MJ played a role in his untimely demise. What do you think? pp

Lisa   July 2nd, 2009 2:33 am ET

The nurse/nutritionist account that Michael was looking for someone who would administer the deprival drug and spend the night with him (to monitor his condition) seems to me to be supported by the facts that bare out in this case. The fact that the doctor did in fact spend the night actually lends credibilty to the nurses' version. This is consistent with why Michael would have asked his doctor to spend the night with him (and the doctor spent the night to monitor his condition). I really can't see a motive for why the nurse would make up such a story. Her version carries alot of weight for me. (Also, if the reports are true that the detective did in fact find presciption bottles for this same drug on the property)... It would further support the nurses' account.

rthoo   July 2nd, 2009 2:56 am ET

Wow, I wanted to leave a loooong comment as I am so angry at CNN for sensationalism but I am happy to see that the feelings out there is mutual all around. Yes, CNN, THINK ABOUT MJ'S KIDS. PLEASE DO NOT CONTRIBUTE TO YEARS OF EMOTIONAL PAIN BY SUCH HATEFUL STORIES.

Spartacus   July 2nd, 2009 10:22 am ET

@ Doddie...{or whatever}

You seem to be a bit misinformed or angry even and I am not even going to go there, because quite frankly what you seem most...is just plain dead wrong.

You do NOT need any special equipment, and I already own over 100 STUDIO QUALITY Michael Jackson Video tracks and can tell you that NOT ONLY AM I RIGHT, but a 5yr old can see from them that he IS 100% CLEARLY LIP-SYNCHING in 99 of them.

Lastly...this is not PERSONAL...I do NOT LIKE having to point this all out...BUT IT IS THE TRUTH, AND PEOPLE NEED TO SHUT UP ON THE EXAGGERATIONS ANS BLOWN OUT OF PROPORTION LOVE AND ADULATION, WTF WERE ALL OF YOU WHEN HE WAS ALIVE?

I did this because I want the TRUTH to be known...and the TRUTH is a LIVE PERFORMER he has been de-FRAUDING the public for 30 years by "LIP-SINCHING" .

I discovered at first by accident.

I am just pointing a FACT.

if you CANNOT ACCEPT OR REFUSE TO ACCEPT IT that's your problem, decision or whatever...BUT IT IS 100% a fact.

I have worked for the Singing Telegram Company Of Montreal for 35 Years. Believe me I KNOW when someone is lip-sysnching.

I also am accutely aare of how Great and I mentioned this many times, his studio work was...

BUT WHAT YOU DO NOT SEEM TO UNDESTAND IS THAT IT IS "FRAUD" PLAIN AND SIMPLE TO DECIEVE YOUR FANS INTO BELIEVEING THAT YOU sINGING liVE WHEN YOU JUST PLAIN ARE NOT...

AND IN THIS REGARD I HAVE PROOF THAT HE IS GUILTY OF THIS TO THE 100TH DEGREE.

LETS ALL STOP TREATING THIS GUY LIKE A G-D.

HE WAS A FANTASTIC DANCER, AND FRAUDULENT WHEN IT CAME TO SINGING LIVE IN ALMOST 90% OF HIS LIVE MATERIAL.

PERIOD !!!

STOP LIVING IN NEVERLAND...

HE LIED TO HIS FANS FOR YEARS REGARDING HIS LIVE PERFORMANCES !!!

Spartacus   July 2nd, 2009 10:28 am ET

I AKLSO WANT TO ADD HOW RETARDED DODIES COMMENTS WERE REGARDING |fARRAH FAWCET, AND THERE Is NO QUESTION WHAT SO EVER THAT A PERSON CAN LEARN THINGS NOT ONLY ABOUT DEATH BUT ABOUT A PARTICULAR DISEASE AND THE HUMAN CONDITION AND REACTION TO IT BY FILMING IT...

ARE YOU REAL THIS LOST DODIE?

DID YOU REALY SAY THAT NOTHING CAN BE GAINED FROM WHAT FARRAH DID...

FARRAH WAS 50 MILLION TIMES THE HUMAN BEING MICHAEL JACKSON WAS AND I STAND BY THAT, MICHAEL JACKSON WAS SELFISH...,INCREDIBLY SELFISH FOR WHAT HE DID TO HIMSELF AND IN THE WAY HE DIES...IT WAS SELF ABUSE NO MATTER HOW MANY WAYS YOU SLICE IT DODIE...ARE YOU REALY THIS RETARDED, DO YOU REALY SAY IT WASN'T?

PLEASE AMERICA, I AM BEGGIN YOU...

GROW UPp ALREADY!!!

Spartacus   July 3rd, 2009 9:26 am ET

OK Lookit,

I want to make this clear, IF YOU CANNOT REWAD PLEASE DO NOT DIRECT YOUR MISGUIDED COMMENTS AT ME.

I AM WILLING TO ADMIT THAT I MAY BE A LITTLE OFF IN THE NUMBER...IT MAY EVEN BE ONLY 50 OR 60% OF THE TIMES HE PERFORMED LIVE,

BUT THIS IS NOT THE POINT

THE POIN T IS, IF YOU READ WHAT I WROTE YOU WOULD HAVE NOTICED THAT I GIVE HIM 100% CREDIT FOR BEING ONE OF THE MOST UNIQUE AND TALENTED STUDIO RECORDING ARTISTS THAT EVER LIVED...I SHOWER HIM WITH PRAISE IN THAT REGARD...

I MISS HIM, HE WAS ONE OF THE GREAST DANCERS I EVER SAW.

I HAVE PICTURES OF MYSELF AND MY FATHER MEETING THE SUPREMES IN THE 60'S, MY POP WAS IN CHARGE OF PROMOTIONS FOR DECCA RECORDS AND MOWTOWN IN CANADA AT THE TIME.

WHEN DIANA INTRODUCED HIM TO US, I SAW THAT...I WAS IN SHOCK, AND HE SANG, OOH HOW HE SANG....

BUT SOMEWHERE ALONG THE WAY THINGS CHANGED AND I ISSED IT UNTIL I WENT BACK AFTER HE PASSED AND WATCHED ALL THE OLD VIDEOS AND CONCERT FOOTAGE.

I BELIEVE WITH ALL MY HEART THAT ANY PERFORMER WHO LIP-SYNCHS IS SHORT CHANGING HIS AUDIENCE, AND WHAT I FOUND TO MY HORROR WAS THAT MICHAEL, {FOR WHATEVER REASON-MAYBE HE EVEN NEEDED TO OR HAD TO FOR BREATHING REASON} STOPPED DOING IT ON ALL OF HIS SONGS, ONLY SOME OF THEM, THE REST IS ALL LIP-SYSNCHED...

IT DOES NOT CHANGE HOW IO FEEL ABOUT THE MAN OR HIS MUSIC...IN THAT REGARD I LOVED HIM...WILL ALWAYS LOVE HIS ABILITY TO ELECTRIFY AN AUDIENCE...BUT AFTER MY REVIEW I HAE TO ADMIT TO MYSELF THAT THIS WAS MOSTLY DUE TO HIS DANCING...WHICH WAS PERHAPS PART OF ONLY A TRIO OF DANCERS WITH THAST KID OF DANCING ABILITY IN MANKIND'S HISTORY...

BUT...

THAT STILL DOESN'T JUSTIFY IT, I DON'T LIKE IT, AND I REALIZED I AM NOT SAD HE PASSED, I AM VERY ANGRY AT THE MAN...

IF HE WAS EVERYTHING ALL OF YOU ARE SAYING HE WAS, HOW COULD HE HAVE DONE THIS TO YOU/US...I AM ANGRY AT HIM FOR ABUSING HIMSELF...

HE ROBBED HIMSELF AND US OF A LOT !!!

MOSTLY, IF IT OFFENDS YOU TO KNOW WHAT I FOUND I AM SORRY

I JUST WANTED TO MAKE IT CLEAR THAT LIP-SYNCHING FOR WHATEVER REASON IS IN MY MIND VERY WRONG AND HE DID IT A LOT LIVE.

LASTLY,

DESPITE THE FACT HE DID IT, I WILL MISS THE MAN BIG TIME
HE WAS TRULY ONE OF A KIND.
AND I WILL REMEMBER HIM THROUGH HIS MUSIC,
SADLY, I WISH THERE WAS FAR MORE MATERIAL OF HIM IN THE DAYS WHEN HE USED TO ALWAYS SING LIVE WHEN HE PERFORMED LIVE,{EXCEPT ON THE OLD TV SHOWS LIKE BANDSTAND ETC ETC..}

WE ARE ALL GUILTY AS WELL OF ABUSING HIM.

HIS FANS, THE MEDIA, AND I THINK EVERYONE WOULD AGREE, THAT IN A WAY, IT WAS US...THE WORLD... AND THE NATURE AND THE ANIMAL KINGDOM HE LOVED SO MUCH ALL KINDA HAD A HAND IN HIS TRAGIC PASSING.

IN THE END THOUGH, IT'S JUST GONNA BE THE SELF ABUSE, THE MASSIVE SELF-ABUSE THAT REALLY MATTERED.
