You have summoned up the Idol Machine in one season. The idol machine decides who fits, who molds, who can "we control".

For a show that says it wants a superstar and has one in their hands and lets him go? throws him under the bus? Please, dont waste my time or millions of viewers time. We got it. We have for 8 seasons now.

I don't know why, but Danny Gokey comes off as a very insincere person.

Larry, What Happen! Your lead trailer for watching upcoming show, gave way to the winner of American Idol yeasterday before the show was broadcast. In turn I didn't watch it. That was such ill programing. Don't wxpect this comment to hit the board but so be it...guys pay closer attention to lead ins as it can alter plans for viewers 🙁

Fab/funky fashion, versatile, guy-liner & all. Want to know what his fave performance was and What kind of offers is he getting? Hope it's all good! I enjoyed this season

I'd first off like to give congrats to both kris and adam. you guys were both great this week and both of you looked like rock stars singing with kiss, queen, keith urban ect. i knew before the results that the both of you are going to be very successful with your careers and i didnt mind who won. my question is for adam. on the show, you sang all different genres of music but once the show and the tour is over, what kind of record will you put out? are you more likely to have a band like chris daughtry or go solo?

First, Adam, you are the most talented and exciting contestant to ever appear on american idol. I was very upset at the result. But I am wondering if the contract that the runner up executes could give you more freedom to accept offers perhaps better than what you would have been locked into had you been the winner. Be honest are you glad to have lost the finally in order to avoid releasing that God awful song "No boundries"? Sorry Kara but that song did not flatter either Adam nor Kris' voice. Perhaps Danny GoKey should release it only because it may favor his voice instead.

I feel like I am missing something, this entry is about Danny, but all the comments are not? I was honestly trying to find forward/backward pages as I thought this might have been one post in a series I was linked to, but I can't.

Danny is a true hero, both true hero's and villains are never recognized as great people in their time, they are both mocked and laughed at... it takes years for people like Danny to impact the public and for people to realize what they have done, what they stood for and what they missed. I do not understand this.

Allison....were you nervous performing right there with Cyndy Lauper? Like you two were so close! You did an excellent job.

I admire all you contestants for your confidence to perform for us, which is such an important part of your success! The sky is limit "idols!" Your talents are amazing...forge ahead with confidence!

Do you think the judges are too much of a focus on Idol? It's interesting that a show about finding a star gives its contestants only 3 minutes of screen time compared to the judges who are slowly introduced, given an inordinate amount of time to critique the performances and are billed as the stars of the show. Do any of you believe you didn't even get a chance to fully present yourself to America due to the time constraints?

I totally agree with Gayle's comment posted above. I really thought that Adam would win last night. Don't get me wrong, Kris is very talented, but he's been done before. His act and style will get old fast. And like past seasons, the runner-up will get more recognition than the winner. But prove me wrong Kris...

IT'S SO OBVIOUS that Adam Lambert is the most talented EVER on ANY American Idol. Kris won because most people in this country are as boring as he is. Sorry Kris I'm sure you are a nice guy but you are just not that talented or special. There ARE SO MANY PEOPLE IN THIS COUNTRY WHO CAN SING LIKE YOU!! So what? After about a year we will not be hearing from you–just like that Rubin guy–what's his name? Adam Lambert is exceptionally talented. However it "may be" possible that Adam lost due to his sexuality, as he is apparently gay. Kris Allen may have won due to his strong Christian background. Perhaps a large number of votes from his existing Christian fan base was enough to cause the surprise win.

Clay Aiken was popular as a contemporary Christian artist until he confirmed he was gay. This is conjecture (but not absurd) and I hope I am wrong, as that would be the wrong reason for Adam to have lost and for Kris to have won.

Danny, you are a beautiful person. I was devastated when you were eliminated and yet I know that your career is going to be amazing. I so look forward to your CD but before that the concert! I am 41 but I'm going to the concert to see you!!! Take care and may God bless all you do. By the way, that was such a great performance with you and Lionel Richie–wow what a thrill that must have been!

Hey guys I wanted to know if any one has funny stories about each other?

I picked Adam from his audition as I saw The "IT" factor in him. He continued to be my favorite all through the season as he was exciting, unpredictable, and truly musically gifted. I live in "Small Town USA", and feel the hype by the media and attention to his sexuality was distracting to appreciating this young man's talents. To me it is so much more important that we love, NOT WHO WE LOVE. I'm a straight middleaged mother of 2 straight 34 and 29 year old young men; who is also a fiercely independent Iowan and I feel ashamed that a truly talented young man could be deprived of an opportunity to solidy his future because conservatives are more concerned about his bedroom preferemces. I'm not taking anything from Kris as he was the winner by America's choice. But, when I go to see Adam on Broadway, or in concert for $150.00 a ticket; I KNOW I will leave thoroughly entertained, waiting for the next chapter in Adam's career.

I find it kinda funny how Adam was on top all season and Kris BARELY blending in with the wallpaper just to come out and win, and from what I hear he won by a landslide. Many of us were in full awe and support of you since the beginning of Season 8, and to see Kris take top prize was not only a major upset but very disappointing. I don't see how naming Kris the American Idol came as surprise. He was in the bottom 3 only once (with Adam), it makes sense he would pick up Gokey's votes, and he has the family (tween) vote. I personally don't think America could've gotten this wrong. It's like comparing Steven Tyler and John Mayer; great in their own respects.

I think that Kris may out sell Adam in downloads & records b/c his voice is more radio friendly. However, Adam will make a boatload more money, b/c awesome groups will want him to tour with them.

Bottom Line – I'd spend $15 in Kris Allen downloads; but I'd spend $50 for ticket where Adam is the opening act.

This is what's wrong with our "culture" Larry.....Nothing against Danny Gokey, or Kris Allen but we are fighting a war on 2 fronts and our economy is teetering on the brink of a depression.

If Fox is going to support our "pop culture" nation with American Idol......maybe Mr. Rupert Murdoch can start instituting the playing of the "National Anthem" before the show like we do at "sporting events"!!

The Idol judges helped Chris win with their open bias for Adam. People of faith were also turned off by Kara's ridiculous comment that Adam was a "Rock God!" Come on... he can sing but he can't walk on water! At the end of the contest it always comes down to a popularity contest and who you connect with. Lets face it, as a whole, America liked the clean cut guy from Arkansas over the mascara screaming rocker from California. God Bless Chris and God Bless America!

Thank goodness you auditioned for Idol, or I may have never learned about you! Great decision. It's changed your life – and the lives of your new fans.

Don't forget that you vote to keep people on, not to kick them off. So, Kris' fanbase voted for Kris. They didn't conspire to "rob" Adam. It's Adam's fans' responsiblity to vote for Adam and no one else's.

Adam was robbed and the entire country knows it. He only lost because he's probably, maybe, could be gay. And small town conservatives could HAVE that sinner gay win. This is sad and ridiculous. I guess the only reason im not cryng at the injustice of it all is that history proves that the winner of idol does NOT mean you will have the best career. Clay Akien, Jennifer hudson. to name a few. Adam will rock!

There is a big difference between the Idol audience and the people who buy music and go to concerts. Adam appeals to the people who love music. Kris appealed to a variety of demographics that wont drive success in his music career.

All three of the finalists were great in their own way...but we all know that Adam is the best singer.

We, the middle class, are being squashed between the huge illegal population who have large families, filling up our prisons and are knowledgeable about using our resources; and the top government and corporate executives that continue to rake and strip all the natural resources for every bit of money they can grab!

When you have 25% of the population sucking everything they can anywhere from general fund monies to welfare, to drug & alcohol treatments, to wanting the government to pay for their housing, kids, educations, who are in jail and in prison… on and on and on… none of which pay ANY TAXES…. Then you have the blood sucking top executives of corporations and local governments grabbing every dollar they can get their hands on… what do you expect???

I work for the local government for 25 years. I see everything that goes on. I see many people who cannot speak ONE WORD OF ENGLISH gathering medical and welfare for the huge families. I also see our government top executives, adding an additional 5% to their salaries even though they have laid-off nearly 400 social workers. Our local government is as corrupt as the corporations.

Who is being crushed are those who go to work on a daily basis, pay their taxes and are responsible. I am in that group of people, and I see this group dwindling. So as long as more people are having their hands out than contribute, California will continue to be a mess and ultimately will end up like the 3rd world.

Recommendation:

Full investigation of every government level operating in California and remove “perks” for those at the top.
Full investigation of every welfare, medical, SSI, SSDI, low income housing claim
Deport every illegal person.
No tax credit for large families
Any family with more than 4 children will be charged additional taxes.
No Welfare for any woman with more than 2 children.
Prisoners in prison must work for their prison stay.
0 tolerance for gang members

If we do not increase people contributions and decrease corruption, nothing will change and California will go down in flames!!! The system is faulty!

I have been an Idol fan from the very beginning I actually got a DVR
so I could watch every episode but after last night I don't think that
I could watch it anymore. I am so upset that Adam didn't win he was obviously one of the best if not the best contestant ever on A.I. and I feel that he was robbed of the title. I also feel that he will become much more famous and outsell more records than Kris. I think that Kris will soon be forgotten while Adam will go on forever as a true artist.

Danny was my favourite since day 1. I was disappointed when he was voted off, but not dicouraged as I know we will be hearing and hopefully seeing him in the near future. I only wish him all the best and good luck with his career. I will definitely be lining up at the record stores for his c.d.

Hello Larry. I am Rowell from the Philippines. This is my take on this season's idol finale. Kris is undoubtedly the most likely to win as early as top three (3) due to the following issues: firstly, AI is showbusiness and the same is synonymous with the catch all phrase 'show me the money' and of the three Allen proves to be more marketable; secondly, the issue hanging 'bout Lambert's sexuality may prove to be risky if he wins and at this point in time the producers can't afford to take any risk; thirdly, Gokey should not blame himself nor his choice of song during the top three since i knew that he will be eliminated since he resembles and sounds like David Cook. well, there is nothing wrong with that BUT in showbusiness, to really make money, unless COOK is uber phenomenal, then there should only one COOK in the business to really sustain the people's thirst for him.

Ther, that's my take on this matter. Please extend my congratulations to all, by far, the show's finale is the best so far.

as the winner, is kris required to sign a recording or management deal with show's producers? what about the runner up? is adam a free agent now?

I don't understand why does it matter who is no. 1 or no 2, they
are both good in their ow n way. I mean Kris and Adam.

I have been a Clay Aiken fan since Idol 2 and I had dropped out
from his fandom last year. Because of his personal life.

So I am so glad I have Danny Gokey and Kris to choose from .

I voted only when it was down to the last 3 . I of course voted for
Danny as I like his voice. He didn't perform so well in certain
weeks. But on the whole I liked his performances. I just wish
he would be like Clay IAiken not to wear glasses during the show.
He would have won more votes. Actually my Clay fan friend also
voted for Danny. And when it down to the last two. We both
voted for Kris.

I don't think I will ever buy a CD or download anything from Adam
as I don't llike rock music.

All the finalists were great in their own styles but i do believe the best man won.Danny was so very good and Kris was great and Adam sure could rock but i am sure Adams being gay cost him a lot of votes.Anyway i think the best man won.

I've had a sneaking suspicion for a few years now that the public picks a winner who needs the help to be successful. Obviously Adam will be a huge star no matter what and doesn't need the Idol title. Kris is really good but so low key I think he needs the title to get the attention and career he deserves. I still think Danny is the one who will go the farthest. Another thought: is the second-place finisher in better shape ultimately because he isn't emcumbered with the contracts and restrictions of the winner? Adam will be a big star and can name his terms whereas Kris has to take the Idol winner deal.

Adam Lambert is the best singer ever to appear on American Idol. Kris will be long forgotten i n a few months, his voice is ordinary at best. I predict a fantastic career for Adam, a truly incredible talent!

Kris won because he is the complete package. He has a great voice, can play many instruments and his music reaches a larger audience.

I hope that you don't take all of these rude comments to heart. You seem very sincere to me, and I was very sad when you were voted off the show. I know you will accomplish great things... especially in honor of your sweet Sophia. God bless you in all of your endeavors.

Adam or Kris? I can honestly say that the final night, Adam performed his very best, and Kris-kind of lackluster. But, by then, all the votes had been placed and the winner decided. That's "American Idol" period. That's how it works and, unless they change the format, how it will always work. It's the publics decision, except for the judges vote that they decided to instigate this year. I wish them, and for that matter the final 4, the very best. I think the American Idol will have an initial "leg up", but then it all shakes out and through the years after the final show, former contestants find their niche or not. By the way, the final show rocked...ALL of it!

People being offended by Kara using the term "rock god" for Adam is just silly. If Christianscannot tolerate a term like that as it offends their concept of God then those Christians shouldn't be watcing American Idol in the first place. After all it is against the Christian religion to worship false gods or to have Idols. If you want to get literal and feel it's an affront to your religious view point to use certain terms then remember the word and concept of having an Idol is strictly speaking against Christian doctrine. So what were all the conservative Christians doing in watching and even being a contestant on a show that will declare someone an "Idol". If it's not their thing they should just stay away.

I'm a huge AI fan but what does it say about us when only 27% of the voters in California cast ballots Tues. to try to change the financial woes of the state and 100 million cast votes nationwide for Kris or Adam?

I was shocked at the results last night. I was honestly pulling for Danny, but Kris was my 2nd choice.

My question/comment is that Adam is such a professional. It seemed to me and others I have talked to that Adam had more professional experence than the other contestants. It seemed he didn't belong in the competetion. Like a professional in a amature competteion. Did any of the contestants or Adam himself feel this way? (no knocks to Adam...you totally ROCK!!)

They need to change the voting system on Idol. Leaving it to the popular vote of the masses leaves a lot of room for lets say "indiscretions" to occur. Why do you think the founding fathers of this country did not leave the actual election of the president to the popular vote of the people. They had the foresight to set up the "electoral" vote in conjunction with the popular vote.
Idol needs to set up a cumulative voting system the scores and counts the results for each weeks performance and adds them to the "finals" score to determine the winner. You know like in school where your grade is determined by adding up all your scores on each test and quiz and the final test. Or at least give the the "judges" an actual role in picking and determining the winner.

The finale show was awessme! The seasoned artist with the newbys was excellent. Add a few more seasoned/newby pairs from all music styles and you have a Multi Million tour that the whole family can enjoy together. I thought Prince appearance on Idol was the greatest surprise, last night show left me saying WOW!

I cannot wait until you release your first CD. Keep it real and do not dispair over this loss; in many ways it was a victory in that you and Kris showed that you were united at the end. This sent a great measage to our youth and those who insist on making somehting negative out of this out come. Thanks to the entire group for the great music and reminding us how blessed we are in this country. I get goose bumps of pride when I think of your talent and the talent of those you shared the stage with these past weeks. It would truly be a pleasure meeting with you. I also have a son that I have not seen for 15 years.Once again I was sad to hear Honorable Judy, not mention Hispanic or Mexican-American, instead mention Jewish individuals, African- American individuals even though there are more legal Hispanic or Mexican American in the U.S.,and we have been awarded more Medal of Honor, that give us americans a right to say what we want, in are believes. Kris, how did you feel about the judges' reactions to your victory?

It's obvious that Adam's fans are upset. However, it is also obvious that there were not enough of them to bring him to the title. Why they are bringing up his sexual preference as an excuse for his losing is beyond me. Adam was good but hardly versatile. Doesn't anyone remember that catastrophic performance on "country music" night. Please. He is a rocker, with a few soft moments, but a head-banging rocker indeed. His concerts will be quite predicabIe and quite similar to KISS–tongue and all. I believe that America truly did get this one right based on versatility, musicality [guitar and piano], likability, and humility. Kris is most definitely an American Idol and a true role model for the next generation as is Danny. Adam will be a role model in his own right and I wish him success; but enough with the "left" – "right" excuses. You are not doing Adam any favours. There just weren't enough of you to conquer the likeability and talent of Kris. CONGRATULATIONS, KRIS!!

I have been disappointed several times with the final result on AI.
Last night was the hardest for me as I could feel that Kris thought he didn't deserve to win.

Kris-you deserve it! I voted for Adam but, apparently, more people voted for you. I also think you are fantastic and have the potential of a bright future. Surround yourself with the right people-it's important.

As for you, Adam, I join the many. many others that have become your fans for life. I will be watching for you and, yes! I will pay to hear you, both live and recorded. You are a rare and tremendous talent.

I am also impressed with your apparent humility and unselfishness. I paid attention as you applauded other people's successes and could tell you truly felt happy. Your kindness, maturity and composure just add to your appeal. May your character continue to hold steadfast as it will be tested!

Danny was my personal favorite! He is so sincere and sets such a terrific example of how to take a painful experience, work through it and find positive. How much better the world would be if we would not dwell on the painful and wrongs in our lives. I'm excited to hear more about this foundation.
I think Kris was more relatable than Danny. If you look at the stand-outs with Idol, does any one match Carrie Underwood....country. All -American. This discribes Kris too! The right choice for America won!!!

A big fan

I was sucked into AI this season to root for the local boy. However when voting for him during the final three, I got a lot of "dead" air and busy signals. This happened to two other people I know who also voted, one who was going back & forth voting between Danny & Kris. She said she never got "dead air" or busy signals when dialing Kris' number.

Just out of curiosity, did that happen for anyone voting for Adam last night? hmmm.... no sour grapes – all three were very talented and any one deserved to win. I just wonder how much of America really made the decision.

You are truly an amazing young man. Not only talented, but handsome and caring. Your demeanor during the Idol season was that of a gentleman and a true professional. I voted for you so many times each week that I thought my fingers would fall off. In addition to your amazing talent, you immensely resemble my very handsome 25 year old son. In my opinion, you are the most gifted artist ever to appear on American Idol. I'm not even sure I'll be able to continue to watch the show as Idol has lost all credibility with the results of season 8. You as the AmericanIdol would have brought relevancy to the show.
Thank you for setting the bar so high that you encouraged all of the contestants to aim higher!!!!!! You're the best! God bless!

All of you should get a life....... The "competition" results are based upon votes from the American Public... No where else... No one was robbed.... It is just a reflection of who likes who the most..... It really doesnt have a whole lot to do with who is most deserving... We all have our own opinions and there are as different as we are...
Just enjoy that we got to see alot of talented kids jump start their careers..... Kudos to the American Idol creators for such a great idea... I will continue to watch and enjoy

Do the 4 judges on AI really hear your song choice and arrangement for the first time when the viewers do, and if so do the producers isolate the contestants from all the crew during the entire week so nothing leaks? I find this orchestration a little hard to believe.

ADAM-Please hurry up and come out with a album quick i can not wait for all those KRIS voters to see what a huge mistake they made when their choice fails at sales.Once again thank-you for sharing your voice,talent and sexy moves to the world.I LOVE U 4-EVER!!!

Adam Lambert brought something to American Idol that no one has ever done and whether you agree or not without him on the show it would have been boring....imagine week after week with the likes of Kris and Danny....two parallel voices whose songs always sound the same....Adam, I don't doubt that you will have the biggest career of any Idol performer ever....and deservedly so....I hope the little tweens of this world are happy with what's his name.....undoubtedly the biggest upset in AI history....

I was voting throughout the season for Adam, Danny and Allison. Kris was my personal fourth. Be that as it may, I expect to see all four successfully making careers and several of the others following suit.. And I know that Kris has the same artistic skills Adam has for arrangements and suspect both have excellent composition skills. It is likely both will produce as well as sing for years to come.
Danny is showing similar talents and skills and will likely be targeted at music lovers outside my own preferences but he is going to be there.
Allison has an amazing voice, is smart and hopefully will avoid the worst pitfalls of young stardom to become a smashing success as an artist and as a young woman.
While I was a little disappointed that Kris won, in the end it doesn't matter. The door opened for all 13 of these people, now it is up to them to walk through it and take advantage of that opportunity to the fullest! And it is up to the rest of us to decide who to buy and to who not to buy for whatever biased (read opinions) reasons we have for the art choices we make for ourselves. Kudos to all our Idols for a job well done this season and wishing you wonderful success personally and professionally in the future.

To all of Adam's fans–Let's make Adam NUMBER 1 on the record charts as soon as his music comes out. I've already downloaded his album from itunes. You should too! Show them who the real American Idol is!

Danny you are a class act and I love your vocals and your positive attitude. I'm positive we will be hearing your wonderful music for a long time to come.

Question to all the idols...............Are you all pain while you are on tour and if so what are you all paid? Do you all get paid the same?

I've been watching American Idol since day one. I'm 65 and sure wish we had something great back then other than Ted Mac Amature hour or Ed Sullivan.haha

I'm from San Diego and I must say watching Idol this year, last night was a horrible disappointment picking Kris Allen instead of Adam Lampert. Mind you, Kris was good at playing his guitar, the piano and singing BUT he didn't have the personality, the charm, the showmanship nor the Voice and style that Adam did. Adam would dress not only in todays styles BUT he would wear a suit now and then that won alot of hearts and respect. It was nice to see a handsome man, wear a nice looking suit and so handsome like an Elvis Presley. He just knew how to present himself with class, polished and professional and alot of charm. He never got boring.

Kris has a nice voice BUT no real great charisma, personality or shows alot of charm. I happened to watch him this morning getting out of a limo and his complaint was, he was very tired, not enough sleep, he needed coffee so the interviewer went and got it for him. He was dressed so poorly and nothing to help all the young ones who voted for him, to help them set goals. He looks and dresses like everyone else. He doesn't hold a style of his own.

Kris dressed poorly alot in the show but Adam, just knew how to present himself with wardrobe, style and class. Yes, he may have studied theater, played professionally once in awhile BUT he presented Americans to dress up once in awhile with his great personality, charm and great voice and style.

I'm sure, they'll both do well and I pray they do but I think alot of the young kids voted for Kris when they all dress like him today. THey have no other goals to set as with Adam, they did. Dress up now and then and smile.

I'm not being mean but I feel the judges knew what they were talking about along with others. Also, I was told Adam was gay and this may have stopped him from American Idol. I'd say, this is his business if he is, it is a way of life today But he isn't hurting anyone and we aren't judging his sex life. Were judging HIM as a great entertainer.

I pray they all do very well BUT a big mistake on judging the real winner.

It is socially disturbing to see how serious people take this reality show. American culture is laughable. A competition is a competition. There can only be one winner, and the American Idol voters made their decision. All the backlash happening after the fact is insanity and psychotic.

How long are the idols under contract with AI?

Suzy Latham, you are out of your mind. Danny Gokey – insincere? What kind of people do you have in your life?! You could only hope to have someone who is of the caliber of Danny Gokey! For thousands of us, OUR American Idol. Good God almighty, Girl, swallow something – like coffee – and wake UP! I am actually laughing. Gokey. Insincere. That's like saying Kris Allen actually deserved to win. NOT.

Question for Adam:

You seemed to be the odds on favorite all season with your astonishing performances. You added theatrical and rock elements to those performances that were very common to music acts of the 70s and 80s and viewers loved it!! It has been speculated that possibly your showmanship made you too edgy for the safe American Idol image, and that hurt you in the end. Do you think it did?

Also, you seemed to be equally at home in each of the musical genres (except country music) you tackled each week. Do you think that it made it harder for voters to quantify what kind of album you would create? What kind of music do you prefer? Rock? R&B?

First I want to say "Hi" to all of you! This was by far my favorite season! My question is this. Do you guys think it would benefit American Idol to (As done with other successful reality shows) limit the number of votes people can make?

My question is for Adam, Have any bands contacted you about being a frontman and now that it is over when will you put out an album.

I think adam lost because, number one is a screamer, which became very annoying after a while. Every song was a scream. And secondly, I cannot see him doing much other than being on broadway or the like which is where he is now. If he was that good, someone would have found him by now. Danny Gokey was correct, you either loved adam or were stuck between Kris and Danny. The show where Danny was let go, they said the votes between the top two were really close. Danny's votes went to Kris. And they were and are well deserved votes. Kris earned the title of American Idol.

Have you noticed that California is complacent about backing their American Idols.?..Both Adam and Katharine McPhee...each one from California....each one so talented and so beautiful to look at !!! Each one really should have won. Each one deserved to be the American Idol. .As a Christian, I was thankful to see Kris and Danny with their wholesome attitudes represented on American Idol and hope they will continue to be role models and have great success. HOWEVER, i voted for Adam because in my opinion he was so far ahead of anyone else in the competition, talent wise. Besides that, Adam, your smile may be the most captivating one I've ever seen !!!

Last night's finale results on AI really surprised me. Personally, I voted for
Adam, Allison, Danny, and Kris while they were all still on. I really believed, and still do, that the last two standing should have been Adam and Allison. Their talent, uniqueness, and sincere demeanors had me at "hello." All that said, America voted and Kris was the winner. No matter who everybody believed "should have" won, I find it ugly and thoughtless to put down Kris (and/or Danny), like I have seen in so many comments on here. Why punish the performers with thoughtless, cheap blows? They all worked hard to get as far as they did, and deserve respect and congratulations. Grow up! Weren't you ever taught to "be nice?"

I supported you all the way from the first time the top ten was announced. I don't like all the prelims they do–my time is more valuable than that. You remind me of a young Elton John but you are more talented. It bothered me that Simon, Randy and Kara are so bias to their way of thinking–there should be no partciality shown at all during the entire episode and it happens season after season–I may agree with their choice but it isn't right. Adam was definitely talented but he was too much of a rocker and did not represent the American Idol that we have come to expect. You will definitely be a celebrity and a idol to many of us–the top four were all "winners" and have great careers in store without a doubt. God Bless!

This ending is nothing new with American Idol. We've seen this same crap before (i.e. Latoya London getting booted in favor of a far inferior contestant a few seasons ago). I was actually DUMB enough to think it wouldn't happen again. There is no way Kris Allen possesses the talent of Adam Lambert. I suspect Adam's semi-professional background caught up with him and Simon got pissed. Just another example of Simon Cowell's second class show. I think I'm convinced to finally just turn that show off for good! But I do wish Adam, Danny and Kris (and thats the order it should have ended up with) the best in their future careers.

Question for Adam & Kris:

All season long, you were able to rearrange the songs into whatever suited your style, but it seemed you were both forced to do the same arrangement of the finale song, "No Boundaries." Considering that the judges want you to be your own "artist," why was this so? and would you have liked to rearrange it?

Danny Gokey should have won!!! but Kris Allen was the next best choice to me. Kris can sing. When Adam "SINGS" he is great, but there was too much screaming and after the judges made a big deal of him screaming for a long duration he seemed to stop singing anything that really showed his great voice and only screamed with his tongue hanging out.

1. It appears again the wrong person won AI – not the most talented but the politcally correct person. The contestants become close on the show, but why are they so reluctant to tell the truth about who should win.

2. Kris there were stories about the conflicts between you and Adam; are they true?

3. Danny you were my favorite from the beginning. Do you think by saying that because of your Christian background and telling fans you and Kris that were the same, did you cost Adam his true victory?

Question for the judges – there are many American Idol winners that we now hear very little of or, in some cases, nothing at all. Does Kris have staying power? Adam seems to have a kind of star quality that leads to long-term success. I was honestly very surprised by the results and wonder if Kris has what it takes to remain on the scene long-term. What do you think?

DANNY-You were ok for me just ok on watching you on IDOL but now i do not care for you now(sorry about your wife) but you come off so aragont in your interviews you actualy thought you were going to win didn't you.You knew KRIS would win come on were you stuck in a sound proof room when ADAM was singing on stage? Chris, do you think after taking the title, and now having the immediate fame that an idol winner gets, that you will eventually lose your humble attitude and forget where you came from, or do you think even with all the fame, you will remain down to earth, grounded, personable, and humble, giving credit to others and your Creator? And if the answer is the latter which I'm sure you will say, what measures are you going to take in order to not lose that boy next door, humble, down to earth attitude that a lot of people fell in love with. The reason I ask is because fame can do crazy things to even the best of them, when they let it go to their head. Congratulations! I wish you the best from a fellow Arkansan.

I haven't read all the posts on this topic, but I feel all is well with IDOL – there was a lot of talent on the show this year. Kris Allen was quite artistic in his performances most of the time as was Adam Lambert – just different styles. Allen is American style, and in contrast I must add that Adam Lambert is more than an American Idol – I, without reservation, believe he is a global/international sized star that will go on to do great things now that he has had proper exposure! I think he is exceptional...

There's been talk that you led church in singing on Sundays and that you are a Christian. What is your faith, how strong is it, and are you going to use your platform to try to be a strong witness for Christ or will you keep it under raps and not talk about it much, for fear that letting it be known, could hurt your pop career?

To Kris: Do you honestly believe you outsang Adam at any point in the competition?

I think the best performer one. Krs Allen feels music and interprets music. Adam Lambert was ok but he just tried to be theatricle about everything. He tried to make everything extremely different. I think Adam would be awesome back on broadway or where he could put just as much emphasis on dressing up as he does on music. But with Kris, it is all about music. He doesn't have to dress up and just try to be strange. I thought Adam was a very gracious and kind loser even though I felt the best man won.

Chris vs. Adam? Why does everyone look at what happened this way? They are both wonderful singers and performers. I myself prefer Chris as I prefer his way of presentation more. I just could not get into Adam's way of screaming songs. Please understand I think he is brilliant as a performer and will find fame and fortune in his very near future! I wish them both luck as they go forward...they are so young and fame has a way of eating her young! God bless you both! Rock on!!!

To Adam: You are clearly too talented and too cutting edge for American Idol, many Kris fans complained it became a show all about you. Did any of the other contestants show the same kind of jealousy as the Kris fans did?

As, the show progresses from week to week, the contestants look more polished and professional. Does someone recommend these changes i.e. hair extensions, more tasteful clothing, etc. and who covers the cost? Do you get to keep all of the new clothing you wear on the show? I don't imagine Simon pays for any of it.

AI does not decide – America decides, remember?

My questions are for all the Idols. How soon will the rehearsals start in preparation for the summer tour? Will you all be learning new songs to perform along with the season favorites? Finally, what aspect of touring are you most looking forward to?

Some folks are complaining that this article was about Danny, but the comments are mostly for Adam . . . that is because other than the empathetic backstory, Danny doesn't feel real. He comes across as goofy, awkward, uncomfortable in his skin and somewhat arrogant. He seems to have an inflated opinion of his own abilities. I have nothing against him, but that's just what I saw. Kris has a bit less talent than Danny, but absolutely no arrogance whatsoever. If anyone had to win over Adam's sheer talent, I am glad it was Kris because you can't help but like the man's gentle, self-effacing demeanor, even if his singing leaves somewhat to be desired. It will be a nice thing for him to have his 15 minutes of fame.

Adam was fortunate to have an opportunity for his name to become a global buzzword by competing on AI. It was a very effective launching pad to a career that knows no boundaries . . . . .

Congrats Kris....and Adam. I know it's hard to win and yet still be in someone else's shadow! First to all the people who are so worried about someone's personal life: GROW UP AND GET OVER YOURSELF! I believe I remember some words from the Big Book 'judge not, lest ye be judged.' That's why it's called personal!

Anyhow, are there any plans for copies of the finale? Will Adam sign with Queen? Danny seemed pleased that Kris picked up his voters. But really, Kris, isn't it a little embarrassing to think that you probably won because you skated into 1st place on someone else's votes? What does that say for your talent? Kris & Danny are nice guys with their own fan base and they should do ok. But what would have been very interesting is to have let voters have ONE vote each–now that tells the real story. Would Adam have won? We'll never know because the voting system is very flawed. It'll be interesting to see if Kris can live up to expectations as No.1. Thing is, even as No. 2 Adam will surpass expectations. He's got the goods and doesn't need 1st place to prove it. All he needed was exposure and he got it on AI.

I enjoyed the heck out of Adam's performances. He was the only one on AI worth watching. Everyone else is so ordinary and predictable. Kris and Danny sound like a hundred other guys. If that's what you enjoy, go for it! I'm really pleased with how the WORLD embraced Adam's music and performance. Just no one like him out there. Now THAT is what the judges have been trying to tell people like Lil and Anoop, Matt, etc–make it your own. Adam's 'Ring of Fire' was a shocking delight. Unforgettable. He ripped "One" right out of his soul. Adam's performances are the only one's I bought on itunes. I can turn on the radio and hear dozens that sound like Danny and Kris. Why do I need to buy theirs? But there's only one Adam. Great season contestants. You did well. Great finale. Now, make some important changes to the judging system if you want to win back Idol watchers.

Is it just a coincidence that the first time the show introduces the "judges save", they end up saving the guy who ulitimately wins?I'm not sure how its possible that America just a few weeks ago wanted to get rid of Kris and now America votes him the winner?! Danny's faith in God is a plus. This will work in his favor as God continues to open doors for him. The man that won the idol is the one that America picked and people have got to stop the sour grapes because Adam came in second. Notice I said came in second as to lost!

Watching the rerun again, Kris Allen won on the night 2 – 1. Adam Lambert had the best stage presence throughout the show and he captivated me very early in the show and i picked him to be in the finals, even before the judges recognised this so kudos to him.

Kris Allen on the other hand was the most original performer throughout the competition. He stuck to what he knew and never waivered even once despite all the negative criticism he received from the judges, who practically would have handed the title to Adam without him singing if they had the chance. Kris excelled in his ability to rearrange songs to suit his vocal range, while Adam sometimes tryed to scream his way through.

The best man on the night won, even the judges have to agree, look at their facial expression when Kris performed the 3rd song, they knew his version was better than Adam's. So shameful only Randy could say it out, the rest were kinda biased and shamefully could not admit it. Kris's version would be rembered for a longtime compared to Adam's. Kris's creativity won him the competition

The judges will comment when they feel "that was the wrong song choice for you." How much help are you given in picking songs each week? Do you have the final say on which song you'll be singing?

Well sure Adam can sing and sure he is a glamorous chap.. it is wonderful that he can scream like a lady in a monster film from 1953.. But I do not belive that the show we all watched was Broadway musical idol.. Yes his schtick would be great for a Queen reunion or for the rocky horror picture show.. Maybe even a great stand out for some eastern european emo punk pop bubblegum rock band.. but really American Idol . I belive that his music would sell for a few weeks for the curiosity of his odd-ness but then it would wear off and our local record store's would just sit on stacks of adam lambert records.. Now hook him up with real rock stars like clasic rock stars and modern rock stars as a member of the group not the name of the group and that Band will own their genre..

The ten finalist are very talented, however my favorite to win was Adam. I participated in on-line polls and votes and, Adam was always the projected winner. I am disturbed with the voting. People vote for the same contestant as many as hundreds of times. There are instructions on the web telling people how to vote multiple times using Skype and by other methods. Not fair!!! The voting needs to be controlled. One vote per person. Period!! Maybe the judges should decide who will be the winner. I take some offense to that because I am a christian and a strong one at that. I voted for Danny all throughout the season. When he was let go, my votes turned to Kris because I felt Kris was more "radio friendly" than Adam. Both are extremely talented but ultimately, I believe Kris won due to overwhelming popularity with all the younger teens/adults out there that listen to his type of music. Adam was clearly the best singer. From his Satisfaction all the way to his final song. Even when they sang together with Queen, Adam was superior. He could sing anything. I am not in America, so was not allowed to vote. It was also the first time I’d ever watched American Idol and will probably be the last. I actually wish I had known the outcome so I wouldnt have been so bitterly disappointed. I was devasted when they announce Kris as the winner. I felt so cheated for Adam and all his followers. Who cares if he wears make up, etc? Isn’t it a singing competition? Many many great artists wear make up, including Kiss and we all know how great and successful they have been. I watched Idol each week and looked forward to it, just to watch Adam. His performances were so memorable, his voice amazing and he always went to great lengths to make his appearance fit the song. ADAM YOU WERE BRILLIANT!!!!!

I would like to ask Adam if he would prefer to sing solo or be part of a band? Also he once mentioned about his Mum's music. Was his Mum the musical influence in his life or did it come from both parents?

We know the Idols receive compensation when doing their summer tour – do they get paid for being in the American Idol contest? Example, contestants on Survivor earn more money the longer they remain on the show and are not voted off.

Why does AI allow unlimited voting?

Of the 100 million votes cast in the finale it'd be interesting to know the breakdown of how many actual different numbers those votes came from.

Do any of the AI contestants think it'd be more fair if only one vote per number were allowed?

It would certainly give a better indication of the future success the winner might have as those people voting 100 times aren't going to buy 100 copies of one cd?

There weren't really any losers on Wednesday night.

I think Kris will really benefit from the guidance and artist development being the AI winner will give him.

Adam already knows who he is as an artist, he just needed a venue to get his name out there. He would probably be held back by the heavy hand of being the AI.

I can't understand this whole noise about Kris not deserving the title!!! I can't understand what some of you are saying, that he won't be remembered in a few months! Is it his fault that most of the votes went to him and a landslide victory for that matter??

C'mon guys, he got majority of the votes by the American public!!! In what way did he rob Adam? with a gun to his head or with a gun to the head of all the people who voted for him???! I hope Adam gives you all (Kris haters) a share from his millions in the comming years!
In summary, these factors worked against Adam:
there was lavish praise from the judges, over assumption by the general public that he'd definitely be the winner - remember Simon's comments on Tuesday night- 'do not assume that Adam is the winner yet because this is still a competition'.

Kris is a very humble and talented, fresh faced guy who never saw himself better than anyone there, he said Adam deserved it more right after he won!! never heard such before-what humility!! his own victory shocked him!
I don't doubt that Adam is a brilliant rock star with stage presence, strong vocals& handsome to top it all. He would definitely do very well (remember Chris Daughtry& Jennifer Hudson?), ADAM WILL STILL SELL MILLIONS OF RECORDS, (AND SO WILL KRIS)! so STOP HATING (Kris)!!!
So if you know he (Adam) would sell millions of records why waste your time hating Kris? except you're not sure!

BOTTOM LINE:
Kris deserved to win and Adam deserved to be runner up FOR THIS PARTICULAR REASON: IT SHOWS HOW IMPERFECT WE ARE AS HUMAN BEINGS, MERE MORTALS THAT CANNOT DECIDE ANOTHER HUMAN BEING'S FATE OR DESTINY BECAUSE IT IS ONLY IN GOD'S HANDS, AS PROMOTION and RECOGNITION COMES ONLY FROM GOD AND NOT MAN.

Gosh this Danny Gokey comes off sounding somewhat insincere. All too holy to be true......... Especially when one hears him saying to his fans – when he was voted off and they could no longer vote for him – 'you all know what to do now....' and thanking them for voting for Kris, and the talk about 'we slaughtered the lamb'. That is so incredibly yucky. Clearly for them this contest ended up having nothing to do with singing and performing talent, but all to do with who was 'acceptable in so-called religious bible-belt middle America. Lets all be safe and make sure that pious mediocrity rules!

Larry, this is a big question that I can't find anywhere. When American idol first started there was the 1 million dollar prize for the winner or it was a 1 million dollar recording contract. I don't hear this mentioned or see this in print anywhere. Is this still the prize for the winner, and how does it work? Do they just write the winner a check for 1 million or do they do it in payments based off the recording contract or what? Thanks for asking this question if you do.

Since Adam didn't win, does this mean that he is open for other contracts outside of American Idol?

I personally think that Adam should have won. He was consistent throughout the show and I personally didn't know what Kris' name was for the longest time. Adam, you should be very proud that you have made an imprint on American Idol! Kris, you were good and I'm interested to see what you have to offer for your future.

I would also like to note that I think that Kris got most of his votes from Teens because of his cute looks and little boyish attitude. I'm sure that there are a lot of parents upset because their children's texts limits have exceeded.

This question is for Adam Lambert. I've loved watching your mother's reaction throughout the season. She seems so cool. There is so much discussion about who won and who should have won American Idol. I believe that the judges had already decided for themselves who was going to win the competition. However, when the modus opperandi of the show is to give people the right to chose who goes through to the next round or who is the eventual winner, the rules apply to everyone of the contestants as it doesn't favour one over the other.

Congratulations to all 13. I thought Allison was the best and I was really disappointed when she left because she has the pipes of a superstar and I am sure she will be a success.

I think that the voting is NOT fair since one phone can vote so many times. I am willing to bet that there are computer programs that have been developed to dial a certain number over and over during the voting time period.

I will continue to watch Idol because I enjoy the music so much. I wonder why there are not more music shows on TV?

Danny was my favorite contestant, and my heart broke when he was eliminated. I would like to know if he had not been a contestant, who would he have chosen to win?

We think Adam lost because he wanted people to think he was a hard edged rocker, but it was obvious that he is a feminine guy who just played dressup. He's a friendly guy with a great voice but at the end of the day he's a poser.

This question is for Alison. For a 16 year old you came across as being very self-posessed and confident on stage. Most 16 year olds in your situation would have been overwhelmed and intimidated. How were you really and to what do you credit having such self-assurance at such a relatively young age?

While both finalists are very talented in their on way, I was happy to see Kris win because he hasn't been in the "industry" before now. No professional training, broadways, etc. as Adam has had. A truly fresh breath of air and deserving of the win!!!

Prior to this season, I had no interest in AI, then, one night, while flipping through the channels I stopped at the beginning of Adam Lambert's "Satisfaction" song. Ever since that song, I was captured and thoroughly in awe of this guy.

Adam's talent and willingness to challenge the status quo (in my opinion) single-handedly rescued what would have been another BORING AI season.

Ok, so Kris won by popular vote. If people were allowed to vote only once (thanks "DialIdol" software), then do you suppose that someone else would have been standing in the winners circle? Regardless, we have two distinctly different winners. Let us revisit the #'$$$'s next year at this time and I am sure we will discover the true Idol!

Wow... just by reading the comments on this page, it is easy to see that Adam should have been the winner. Too bad people could vote thousands of times each (10,000+) for Kris. 38 Million (or roughly 40%) of the votes were from Arkansas alone! Sounds like Arkansas Idol, not American Idol. Adam really is a worldwide star. I have seen posts from all around the world commenting how good Adam is. I have not seen one for Kris that comes from outside the United States (not to say there might be one or two lingering out there). Kris's talent (1 in a 1,000)... Adam's talent (1 in a Billion [1,000,000,000]). Is there even anybody out there that can come close to Adams talent? I don't think so. Just like Daughtry should have one. Whoever wins the AI title doesn't necessarily deserve it. The whole voting system is flawed. Boo... I give the show one more year... two at best.

His teen boppers went over to Kris – sorry Dany, but young teen boppers don't really know the depth of what talent means, they look at the boy, the cuteness and after a wekk, they are on to the next cute person. But Kris, to put in his own words on American Idol when it was announced he won, "It should have been Adam" – was the truth and it should have been Adam. What part of American Idol, don't most people understand. This is a contest for amateur's not for Theatrical drama theater experienced people. Kris who was the amateur is the true winner. Adam is a drama queen – king has performed in theater's and play's. This show is for people like Kris Allen and Danny Gorkey should have been the two finalist competing against each other. It is kind of like the Miss America, you have rules and regulations to qualify and if people would have known from the start that Adam Lambert had all the experience that he had at the beginning of the show he would not have made it to the top 10 finalist. Don't Get me wrong Adam is wonderful and very talented, he shouldn't have been on American Idol with all his experience. BEST OF LUCK TO ALL THE AMERICAN IDOL CONTESTANTS. YOU ARE ALL VERY TALENTED.

i would like to know whats the point of having judges the entire season if they dont get a say in who wins. i think that the american people should get a portion but i think the final vote should be from the judges. afterall they are the most qualified.

BUT...
I am absolutely APPALLED at the controversy over Kris's win. I wasn't at all surprised Kris won because I think he appeals to a wider audience. I would think most of Adam's fans are rock music fans. People who don't like that style of music probably wouldn't like Adam, or, at least, would prefer someone like Kris. I know Danny and Matt had a lot of fans, and I would think most of those fans would have gravitated towards Kris rather than Adam.
Winning American Idol must be one of the most exciting things that can happen in a person's lifetime, and Kris's win is now being downplayed by the media and others. It is so unfair, immature, thoughtless, and rude.

I truly believe Kris won because of his wider appeal, not because of AI "over-pimping" Adam, and certainly not because Adam is gay. As for the over-pimping, didn't this same crowd blame this for people unfairly getting MORE votes than they deserved? You can't have it both ways. And the gay argument is just stupid. Even if people did vote against Adam over his sexual orientation, I have no doubt at least as many people voted FOR him because of it. Therefore, that would be a wash.

To Kris, I would say a big, fat congratulations on your win, and don't let anyone take away your joy over this awesome accomplishment. Kudos, and I honestly wish you all the best!

I was awed and amazed at Adam's vocal abilities for the whole season, but then I thought, well if I were voting based on the type of music I like and would buy, that would be either Kris or Danny's. When I thought about that, then I was almost certain it would be Kris because I'm not sure that AI is drawing the same crowd that would love Adam's music. Even when the Judges didn't much like his take on his version of Ring of Fire, I felt that it still showcased his vocal abilites and that many that like that sort of music would love it.

Would have been really cool with this season of trying different things to have a finale between the final 3 contestants!!

I will be attending my first AI concert in Sacramento this summer because this is the first time I actually like all 10 performers. My question is what should we expect? I know that Adam and Allison have talked about recreating their fantastic duet but will anyone else being doing a duet? Maybe some dueling piano. Also during the tour are you looking forward to meeting some of your fans? I'm hoping we get a chance to meet some if not all of you and get a few autographs. Keeping my fingers crossed. And one final thing. Thank you so much for giving us all such great entertainment these past few months. I wish you all great success.

This is not a question but I hope Adam will get a chance to see it. I totally support his silence on his sexuality. That is absolutely no ones business. No one asks Chris if he has sex with his wife and should not ask Adam who he has sex with. That is a part of ones life that is personal and it should remain private. One other thing I am 66 years old and have never been a rock fan and certainly not a Kiss fan but that was fantastic.

so many people feel that the voting system is flawed. we all believe that it should be one peron, one vote. if that was the case, we are sure that adam would would have rightfully won and that is why we are so disappointed. with this travesty. it becomes meaningless if someone has a contraption to vault the total number of votes by the thousand and other who spend many minutes just to make one call. with the voting system as such, you can never have a true winner.

American Idol is unpredictable and that is what makes people vote. Hello, I am a huge American Idol fan and I have never missed a epsiode since it debuted on the air. I love this show. I would like to ask why the American Idol Tour doesnt come to Houston for the tour much. They didnt come here last year and they are not coming this year either and I am so sad about that.. I would love to see this year's Idols on tour, and it would of been wonderful to see the Idols last year too. I would love to give Adam, Anoop and Kris a hug and see them in concert. Maybe they will come here one day soon and then I can go see them, in concert.

I completely agree with a comment made by myman earlier... i agree with everything you said. Danny is a true hero. This blog was about him, but yet none of the comments are. The ones that DO happen to be about him are just horrible. I don't see how someone could call him insincere or arrogant. To all the contestants: how many hours of sleep you had in average? How many free time you had and what you usually do?

It's interesting to see God's handy work in all of the idol winners. There is a reason for everything. Kris and Danny use these talents for Christ and know one else... The song the Famous One needs to be at the centre of your careers.

I just love Danny Gokey! Not only is he an amazing talent but I love the depth of the amazing person he is!! It is an honor to support him in his music and in his vision for SHF..He is a grounded man of faith and knows what is most important in this life!! A true gift!!

We love you Danny and hated to see you go. Just wanted to let you and Idol know that there were a lot of people like me that didn't vote on anyone till the last day because everyone was such an outstanding performer. Some of the votes that noted as yours going to Chris were not, but were solely being held out till that last day and the performance that Chris put on and the ability to play different instruments at the same time left many in awe. Adam- When you sang "Born To Be Wild," I just about fell off my chair! You are seriously the most talented, amazing singer I have ever seen or heard. Will you ever come to the prairie provinces of Canada to do a show? You have so many fans out here and none of us could vote for the "American" Idol. Please don't forget about your frustrated Canadian fans. We are so proud of you!

I've been a big American Idol Fan from day one. I have to admit I was voting for Adam from day one. I'm from San Diego and I now live in Florida part time and I'm told you can tell a Calif. gal from a Floridian. Very Interesting. I guess it is because were so open to new things, think more open and were our own person. Some had a hard time accepting me here where I now live part time and I used to model professionally and have a great job in San Diego. Dealing with Public life.

But, I was for Adam because he did show alot of class, showmanship, professional and I liked his style. His clothes, hair, and some thought he was gay, didn't like his style here in Florida but I have found people here too reserved..haha...But, Adam was my number one pic because of his style, voice and sort of an Elvis Presley style about him. We loved him in his suits and found him very first class. So, yes, we were for Adam.

But, we liked Kris too but he sort of looked plain like some of the rest, and didn't stand out like Adam did. But, he did have a great voice, gift of piano and guitar. Also, seeing his family and the way his Dad hugged him was warm. But, yet, were voting for the music and style as well and how he reacts to the public, questions and press people.

For me personally, I'd say, their BOTH winners in their own way. Two American Idols. Kris for his style and low key ways and Adam for his Calif. gift of knowledge, music and being so professional and knowing how to dress for each night. He stood out with alot of class and personality. Someone you would not forget...EVER...probably one of the best ever on American Idol when it came to professionalism and strong voice. Unique style.

I will say, I have to agree to keep RELIGION out of American Idol when voting and how you feel about if he or she are gay. We vote for their gift from God. MUSIC and how they bring it to us from the heart whether their rich already or poor, it is whomever showed the best perfomances during the whole show. Voting should be based on that only. Not religion, race, or sexual differences.

Again, BOTH were great so I personally feel, we have to American Idols and some of us wish them the very best. Again, Adam was and still is my favorite but best luck to Kris as well.

Hopefully you didn't make Simon to mad with the "Don't Care" thing because with your unique voice, I think you could start a whole new type of music genre or something (kinda like when someone started the rap sensation) Do you write songs? I think your voice is so strong, cool and unique that it looked like it was hard for you to take just any song and make it your own. You definitely have your own style. You need some stuff written with your voice in mind and you'll be awesome.

He may not have won american idol, but he will always be an idol and a hero in my eyes! I never cared for Danny's style, but he also seems like the least likable person of the top 13. And after watching the dynamic of everyone on Larry King Live, I'd say the rest of the contestants feel the same way.

Hey guys, i just think these three duds are are fantastic, let'sjust sit back and enjoy their them 'cos i believe they all will make big while delivering fantastic entertainment for us all.

I wasn't a huge fan of Danny on the show, but I really respect his goals for using the fame he's gotten from 'Idol' to help others. To me, that is more important than fleeting fame or fortune. Good for you, Danny Gokey.

I laughed when I read the section about what he would have done differently and he talks about overthinking everything. Danny's a Taurus, and this is such a Taurean trait! We constantly analyze and rehash to a point of madness! I thought that was funny.

Early on, I felt 'Idol' exploited Danny's personal tragedy a bit too much. It was important that we, the viewers, knew about his loss, but the producers should really have downplayed it a bit. This was a very personal and painful thing for him to go through. I also worry that his grieving process was interrupted by all of this and that there are still going to be tough times ahead.

I like both Kris and Adam, but Adam DEFINETLY should have won. You are amazing. I was just wondering if there is any truth to the story about 38 million votes coming from Arkansas? Kris was the best to me, so he got my vote. I am not a mad voting fool, I only voted 1 time and got through after 4 tries. But I simply didn't like Adam's vocals. I loved his genre and stage presence, but that isn't enough in a singing contest. I loved Kris' guitar and piano – plus his arrangements were tight. The dude rocked out and he isn't even in the genre I like, Adam is.

I don't know how many people there are like me, but I seriously voted for the singer I thought did the best job – that was Kris. I don't care if they are all gay or strippers or christians or whatever – I am none of those things and couldn't careless. I wasn't a fan of anyone – but I loved Danny's voice as the raspiness was coolio. But I wasn't much into his genre either. Nonetheless, I would have voted for him over Adam too. Actually Alison as well (although I'd vote Adam over Matt – no knocks to Matt who also has a cool bluesy style).

Anyway: CONGRATS TO THE WELL DESERVED CHAMP! I didn't know if you would make it Kris, but I can only say that in my opinion, America got it right. As a songwriter/arranger, you've got the goods.

All might recall that Kris was the only one told that if AI didn't work out, a professional star was willing to 'do something with him' and that is because Kris has real and amazing talent. Danny and Adam too, it is just that Kris has overall popular appeal. And that from me, who is way more into Adam's genre.

Congratulations on making the top 3. I loved your singing and your performances all season. You were one of my 2 favorites. I think your foundation is great. I work for a non-profit and there are not nearly enough to help everybody. I especially like the eyeglass idea. You know there can be only be one name for this eyeware line: Gokeys! "What kind of glasses are those?" "They're Gokeys" (People don't call them sunglasses, they call them Ray-bans) You can work Gokeys into your songs! "Grabbin' my keys and my Gokeys and I'm headin out". All of the best to you and the foundation, I will watch for your music, your 'Gokeys' and info about the foundation. Thanks for being part of Idol so we could meet you.

Adam and Kris are true artists, musicians, and performers. They both have a great deal of confidence, which is why they never felt they had to compete, they knew if they went out and did what they had been doing all of their life that they would be winners. Adam and Kris were the right choice for the final two.
Danny is simply a singer who had to watch other performers to figure out what the judges were trying to tell him about his performance. He never deserved to be in the top two. I am totally put off by Danny's arrogance.

Congratulations to Kris for being named "American Idol." You are promising young musical artist who week after week gave everything he had to the contest and came out on top honorably. Embrace your "victory" - it was earned! I really think the judges were not clued into the appeal of your quieter, less showy brand of American pop music along with your creativity, freshness, sincerity, and attractive voice. You may have picked up some of the "Gokey voters" but believe me, you and Danny are worlds apart when it comes to artistry, performance skills, and creativity and not all of us who supported you supported Gokey. Congratulations also to Adam – who did not garner the majority of votes in the end – but who comported himself with grace, humor, and humility. Adam is an AMAZING talent – powerhouse voice, incredible showmanship, dramatic flair and style. He seems incredibly grounded and I'm certain we will see and hear a lot about Adam in the future!

I am impressed by the graciousness of both Kris and Adam. It is wonderful to see their mutual respect, how utterly at ease with and supportive of one another they were throughout the competition and now. I voted for Kris, Adam, and Allison throughout the competition and I'm glad that I did. They are all terrific performers with unique gifts. I'm sure that big things await them all and I'm looking forward to buying their CDs and watching them further develop their talents!

Kris you were my pick to win, you are my idol and I would vote for you again and again and again. When you sing I see your hart and your soul stand tall on that winner's podium you deserve it. It's like every week you took us on a date and we have fun with this really nice guy we got to know you week after week and in the end we fell in love. I can't waite for your album looking forward to it.

First of all congratulations to all of you. As an American Idol fan of all seasons, I do believe you all have such talent. My question is What do you think of the voting system ? I am a Adam Lambert fan and of all the times through the season I had a hard time voting. The Tuesday nite finale I was unable to vote it was busy the whole four hours all three lines 1, 3 & 5. Some how doesn't seem right if you are told to vote for your favorite and you can't.

Why is it all the Adam fans seem so angry and bitter? It's not like Kris' name was pulled out of a hat! This is based on votes and Kris got more of them...therefore he won. Period. It seems to me the only people you should be angry with is you for not taking it upon yourselves to vote more efficiently. Stop hating! I am a Kris fan all the way, but Adam is incredibly, amazingly talented. He just doesn't sing the kind of music I would buy. And apparantly Kris doesn't sing the kind of music you would buy. And that's fine! But stop being so angry and blaming everyone from the mailman to your mother about Kris winning and stop whining that life isn't fair. It's American Idol...that's all. The world will not stop rotating because of this. And Adam will go on to do great things, so don't worry. Lighten up, people.

And by the way, Kris fans had a terrible time voting, too. I know Adam's fans did as well because I checked his line several times and got the same problems we did on Kris' lines. So, no, it was not a conspiracy!

I greatly admire that you've never allowed yourself to be made a victim. You've faced extremely difficult situations yet you didn't let them defeat you. I think Dear Abby said something similar when she said: "Don't let your past dictate who you are but let it be part of who you will become." I'm glad you've overcome them, or we might not have had the benefit of hearing your beautiful voice. I cried when he left and would have liked him whether or not he is christian, not all of his fans are radical red staters. I like adam too. i didn't even vote in the final (I boycotted it) but if i had voted i would have been for adam. the Danny fans aren't out for revenge or to start a regious movement, we just like the most talented people to win, Im not gonna lie there are those who hate gays and did vote for kris out of pite but guess what most people aren't like that. really people don't take it so personally.

I am confused by people's comments. Where were all of these people during voting night that loved Adam so much? How was he "robbed"? Everyone knows he will be a huge star. And so will Kris. They are both incredibly talented in their own way. Danny and Allison are also winners. They will all have great careers and a loyal fan base. No one lost here! Even though I thought Adam was a great singer and entertainer, I, personally didn't love Adam's style of music and am drawn to Kris' style more. I love that his musical talent embraces the piano and the guitar. He looked and sounded amazing with Keith Urban! Could Kris look any cuter with his hands in his jean pockets and that guitar slung over his back?!!!
I would love for all of the Kris vs. Adam debate to stop. Why can't people be happy for all of the contestants? They got the opportunity for huge exposure and many of them will go on to have successful music careers. Kris and Adam are both winners and as we have seen with previous American Idols – the winning ticket isn't the only way to huge success. I am actually starting to feel badly for Kris. He WON – and he says it should have been Adam – only because that is what the judges kept saying!! BUT...America votes. And they voted for YOU KRIS!!!!!! So be proud!!!!!! You deserved it!!!!!!!
I, sincerely cannot believe that people are saying that Kris got the "Christian, straight" vote. People are just looking for a reason as to why Adam didn't win. Maybe it's just that people liked Kris' sound and style more. There are plenty of gay and "out there" big name singing stars. It's simple – Adam didn't get enough of the popular vote. But that isn't going to matter anyway. And if Adam had won Kris would still have gone on to have a huge career too. In my opinion, I think Kris is going to be hugely successful. Half way through I knew Kris was going to win. His appeal to a wider audience and his undeniably cute way was generating a ground swell of support week to week. I cannot believe how much the judges underestimated him!!
Let's enjoy the success of both of these men. They clearly aren't bashing one another and must find all of this amusing. There are plenty of fans out there to support both of them. The competition is OVER!! Time to let them cut their albums and let's enjoy their incredible talent – whatever your taste in music!!

I love his voice!
His voice appeals to me – so distinctive -soulful -powerful.
I am so going to miss hearing him sing on Tuesday nights and I will be awaiting the release of his CD.
I cannot wait to buy it.

I wish Danny would have (not sure if these songs would have been on the viable list of song choices) sang Eric Clapton's" Forever Man" or Stevie Ray Vaughn's "Caught in the Crossfire" during Rock week.

I also like many of the other contestants such as Alison, Anoop, Kris and Scott. Alison's version of "Papa was a Rolling Stone' was amazing.

However, Adam's voice never appealed to me. I see Adam continuing his career on Broadway as a successful theatrical singer.

I did not vote for him because I do not like to hear him sing – His voice does not appeal to me. I would never want to buy his CD and listen to10-14 songs in a row. I could care less about his or anyone Else's sexual orientation.

I am so sick and tired of Adam's disappointed fans playing the gay card.

When does this victim mentality end?

In the past I read blogs that said Scott was getting the sympathy vote because he is blind – that Danny was getting the sympathy vote because he is a widower. Such insulting nonsense!

-Katie Perry wearing an "Adam Lambert" cape.
Sorry AI...you should not allow your musical guest stars vocalize their choices. Revise your contracts with these "stars".

-Simon Cowell refusing to give Kris a standing ovation when he was announced as the winner. Randy, Kara and Paula rose to their feet applauding- Simon just sat there – totally disrespectful, immature and selfish.

Shame on you Simon!

It has been posted that Simon said that Kris won because he is a nice guy not the best singer. Year after year the judges stress that it is a singing competition. It has also been posted that the win was a landslide . There have been several people that tried for 4 hours to vote for Adam but was never able to get in to vote. We feel that this years results was unfair due to the voting situation. We want Adam to know that we look forward to hearing his music. Adam please keep tweeting and keep us updated.

What a GREAT season for American Idol. I have watched Idol since season 2 on and off but NEVER have I rearranged my life around it!
Come hell or high water every Tuesday and Wednesday the kids would be in bed so I could sit down and enjoy watching Adam sing and perform. What a pleasure it has been to watch you! The last time I saw American Idol was season 1 and parts of season 2. Then I got out of it. However, this year's American Idol was something else. I honestly got so addicted to it because of your voice. I love how you sing and how you play the guitars and the piano. So kudos with that and thank you a lot!

1. What type of music do you plan on making? Like will it be the same style like how you sang "Ain't No Sunshine", "She Works Hard for the Money", "Heartless", and all those good tunes you did.

Strange how great Adam is handeling the loss but his fans are a bunch of sore loosers who are doing nothing but making themselves look stupid by making up really lame excuses for him loosing....No matter who beat Adam you would be saying the same thing about them.....I have read some remarks that it was rigged.....where's your proof? Danny is the only person on the show that DID seem sincere. He never tried to hide his feelings and I thought it was refreshing that he stood up for his beliefs, despite it being the unpopular thing to do. My congrats to Kris on winning, but Danny will always be MY American Idol.

Adam, Your performance with Kiss was absolutely stunning. You looked and sounded like you had been with them FOREVER! Question for Gokey – Can we expect a studio version of Hero from him in the future. Seems that song really fits his voice.

Folks stop saying Adam is better than Kris it’s a matter of preference. I feel they are two different artists and fans voted for who they preferred. Kris steadily excelled as the competition progressed. It does not matter how you start the race, its how you finish and he had a very strong finish. That’s what made him win the competition and folks can’t seem to realize that.

The turning point for Kris was the last four weeks he grew as an artist and viewers started to take notice. Especially the week before the finally. Kris won because his music was more current and “fresh”.

How we need some real roll models in our day and age. Why not incloude a religious song in your album? Remember Barbar Mandrel who ended her programs with a religious section. Everyone loved her.

First of all, I wanted to say Congrats to Kris. You have a phenomenal voice. I understand your comments on why you didn't want the votes to be based on your faith, that it's about the music. But I do want to encourage you and Danny on being open in regards to your beliefs. So often it is frowned upon and not spoken of. Thanks for standing up for what you believe in!

I found this season to be the most memorable. Everyone in the top 13 has tremendous talent. I was equally enamored with the comraderie displayed by everyone – true friendship I believe that will last, for a lifetime (like military buddies). I agree with Escorpiocrone. There was a lead-in broadcast on CNN on the West Coast BEFORE the Idol finale aired in our time zone. Idol may be billed as "live", but it is time delayed on the West Coast, just the same way Leno is, to accommodate the East Coast time zone.

The lead-in announced Kris as the winner and Adam as the runner-up, as the ad asked us to watch the two of them on LKL.

This truly ruined the Idol finale for myself and my family.

I have a few questions for you all :

Kris – Have you planned anything about your album? What will it be like? Have you written any songs for it? How did you teach yourself to play guitar? I am also 13, and I really want to learn playing the guitar.I have one but I just cannot seem to get the right chords.

Adam – I think we all get some idea of what your album is going to be like.Have you gotten a record deal yet or are you planning to relax at home a bit before the tour and not jump into doing your album yet?

Anoop – Did you practice classical singing of the Indian culture as a child? If you did, do you still?Are you very attached to the Indian culture? You have a very large fan base in India and Bangladesh by the way!

Allison – What did your parents say to you dying your hair red? I think it's really nice by the way! 😀 I would love to have that hair!

All of the contestants – What was the best part about your "Idol " journeys? Did you miss your hometown friends all the time or were you always very caught up in being with the other contestants?

2 THINGS to discuss next Monday:-

1. How to channel the negative emotions of majority of Adam's fans feel ? I feel there's no outlet. Some people went thru anger, despair, depressions and acceptance. Americans should be honest, open and fair. This is the 'feel' we don't have an outlet.

2. Adam is now VERY big internationally –
from Australia, Japan, South America, England to whole Europe, Canada to South America. Could you ask how he'd position himself in this?

He's not only American's now. I'm afraid.

Adam is perfection from head to toe – his look, his clothes, his jewelry, his makeup, his easy ways, but his voice is amazing and it reaches to heaven. When he performs, I absolutely am transfixed on him and I can't take my eyes away. I can't wait to see him in concert and I look forward to hearing him sing anytime, anywhere, and can't wait for his CD. He is the best artist to come along and I thank Adam for sharing himself with all of us. He is it and made Idol this season. The fact that Danny called Kris the winner so easily just now is so distasteful. I find Danny to be very calculating, insincere, insecure and probably a little bit upset that he didn't take the title. I believe the sincerity of Kris and the friendship between Kris and Adam, but I see through Danny's insincerity. What a lousy thing to say on your show when Adam has the most amazing vocals and is the best entertainer ever on stage. Adam is a Star and will be for as long as he wants to be. Adam, you deserved to win, but probably better you didn't because you are not bound as tight to the Idol contract as the winnere. Kris, you are a good singer, but there is no comparison to Adam. I truly believe you won because of Arkansas vote and because Danny lost and you inherited his vote, – don't get me wrong, you are good at what you do, but Adam is the best.

What was it like being able to live in that gorgeous mansion?

Danny was my favorite from this season. It was awesome to have such a talented and sincere contestant from my home state. Go, go Gokey! I was completely bummed the week he left the show. Was sure he was going to make it to the finale.

Congrats to Kris! I met another blogger who was a big Kris fan b/c her home state was a neighbor state to Arkansas. She knew I was a Danny fan after I blogged about going to Danny Gokey Day in Milwaukee. It was a blast.

Question for Adam: First of all, congrats not just for what you have achieved (and will still achieve, no doubt) but for being such a gracious person. We Kris fans love you, too. My question is: Seeing how you two are close friends, how do you feel about some of your fans who have been bashing Kris and saying really horrible things about him on message boards?

I am from Tanzania East Africa ,I think the only deserving American Idol is ADAM LAMBERT ,ok there were others who were good like Danny,Matt,Kris but Adam was way far in terms of all the aspects performance,singing his personality his presence on stage was electrifying and he could sell around the WORLD just look at the comments from him and others he overshadowed all others !!!

Adam, you were fantastic throughout the competition. Did you believe you were going to win? Not discounting Chris and the other competitors but based on your consistent performance and the judges' comments which were mostly favorable each time for you; did you think Ryan was going to announce you as the winner?

I can not believe how everyone is taking Adam's loss so hard. IT"S ONLY A SHOW. My goodness, it's not life or death. Let it go and move on to more important things.
Everyone's down on Danny, Why????? How is Danny affecting your life? What did he do to you that you must say such things and be so hateful. Maybe, its because he is a believer in Christ. The voting is based on your preference. Has anyone thought that maybe the people PREFERRED a different type of music. Yes Adam had a good voice. I think his performance was terrible. The Devil eyes every 5 seconds. The screaming and theatrics was not my taste so why would I vote for the music I do not enjoy. I don't care how good your voice is. Adam has a great talent for making songs his own. At least I can give credit where its due.

What impressed me was that the group seemed to like and respect each other. And I really like Kris and Adam;s remarks-they were not competing against the other, but doing their best. This is the spirit, and wish success for each of this years group.

Anyways, American Idol is so unpredictable. I was betting (not really BETTING as in money) on Adam. I love his rocker-ish voice, but I almost hated his emo half. I know a lot say he's gay and all, my dad did too, but to me, I thought he would win! Kris is an AWESOME acoustic singer and all, but some of his preformances were lacking. So, sorry to all the Kris fans who read this. But I REALLY thought Adam would win.

I actually favored Alison ALL through out the competition, And I also thought Alison would make the top 3, but they didn't think of her as THAT good.

My question is for Adam. I know people have their fave performers and that they want them to win but, I would like to know what your thoughts are on a lot of your fanbase being more than harsh in their reactions to Kris having won?

I've spent an hour reading all of these blogs and thinking to myself how very SAD this world has become. I hope none of the kids from American Idol take the time to read most of the comments that have been posted. I understand the right to free speech and we as(Americans) should be thanking God for the rights we have and share to be able to make comments about our opinions. But what is so SAD is that many of these comments are rude, hateful, ignorant, spiteful, and intolerant, I have watched American Idol from season one and the person I might really enjoy listening to has not always been the one to win. To me that was O.K. because after the first season it was clear you didn't have to win to have a successful career. The best singers went on to have record deals and put on concerts.

Winning the title doesn't guarantee anyone success no more than being voted out early keeps contestants from getting great record
deals, fame and fortune. American Idol is just an aveune for people who have been blessed with great voices to be heard and notice and given the chance to make it in the music business. Simple everyday people that even though very talented most likey would never get the opportunity to be recognized by anyone who could jumpstart a career.

So I'm sorry but to me in the world we are living in today with American soldiers fighting and dying for our future safety, millions of people losing their jobs, their homes, their life savings, couldn't or shouldn't we try a little harder to treat each other with respect. If you have watched any interviews with the idol contestants they truly care and respect each other. As fans of different contestants, with their different styles and sounds I would like to believe with all the other stuff going on that we could be as mature and respectful to these young people as they are to each other.

Seriously this season American Idol had so much talent, by far the most gifted group to date, each contestant gave us all some really great performances and whether you really like (as for me) the local young man with the smooth sound, or the very talented and fun to watch guyliner/rocker, or the raspy sound of the one who so recently had a great loss, or one of the soulful young mothers, anyone of these young people have been given a great opportunity to have a wonderful career.

Even with the struggling economy there are enough Americans and fans abroad to make all of these kids very rich and famous. We will have a much better time following there success and enjoying there concerts if we spend less time criticizing who and how they became famous and just being happy that they made it to the big time.

Just think we will all be able to look back and say I remember when – I voted for that guy or girl 50 times during a show they were on before anyone knew their name, and look at their lives now!

I TRULY WISH FOR US ALL THAT WE COULD, SHOULD AND WOULD BE JUST A LITTLE BIT NICER TO EACH OTHER-

danny you are not just an amazing talent but an amazing person too.. i just want to know did you ever cry about your lost of your wife during the competition? how did you deal about it? does american idol prevent you to talk about your emotions about your wife?

To Adam-What kind of songs do you write? Do you write the lyrics and the music? I think you have a pleasant voice even when you do the screams. Not everyone can get away with it like you do. Your voice is unique. I think it is the best I've heard in a long time, no fakey sounds, just pure melody with a beautiful voice.

What Danny said in Larry King Live last night has some truths in it, that Adam was actually kind of hurt by the judges' praises. Adam is a genius, but American Idol is voted by the majority of Americans who are most likely 'a boy or a girl next door'. Kris has that kind of package in his outer appearance that relates intimately to the everyday americans. Let's face it, geniuses are not easy to live with and thus hard to relate to, and as the judges' comments on Adam, they are a 'league of their own'.

Did you google yourself or read internet blogs while you were on the show and how difficult was it to read negative comments?

To the guy who said it is all just about the votes, NOT SO, if the voting were fair, it would be one vote per phone, not the voting frenzy of casting hundreds or even thousands of votes....its like whoevers fans get tired of texting or dialing will lose the competition. Adam is not only the best this season but the best ever........tuned in every week to see him, tuned in to watch Adam, not American Idol.....the most exciting and talented contestant the show has ever seen. Something went very wrong this season, and it has a shady feel to it..........

I enjoyed your performances on A I this year. You definitely know how to entertain audiences. I was watching some of your past performances on youtube at the Cabaret and was wondering why you didn't perform the song "Quiet Desperation". You would have killed it on A I and I think Simon would have been impressed. I also would have liked to hear you perform some "Elvis" songs. You should think about doing some remakes of Zeppelin,Queen, KISS, ACDC if you can get the rights to their music.

I have never blogged before or emailed any news organization but I feel compelled to do so today! I would be described as a right winged conservative Christian. I am a wife/mother/nurse. I love American Idol for it's pure entertainment and to see people have a chance to share their talents. I don't want to see this turn into a right wing left wing, blue state red state type of arena! I voted for Adan every week because of his talent, he's different and he stayed true to who he was! I loved Kris too....he was like watching "mine that bird" at the Kentucky Derby!!! He really pulled to the front when he sang "Heartless"! I was so torn but I felt Adam was consistent and that's why I voted for him! As far as the "Christian" factor is concerned....We are all God's children and he loves us all! Please don't turn American Idol into something it is not. It is about singing and talent and pure entertainment and giving people a chance!

Do you think a more fair voting system should be implied? I mean does a persons vote really count when people and programed machines are voting? To me this is the biggest down fall for idol and this is the reason things (seem) unfair.I personally don't think the judges or props and such can sway a vote.Also people will vote for contestants for a variety of reasons.Similar to an election. (so be it) I want to thank IDOL for giving the viewers a great show this season. And the best finale(show) ever.

Adam Lambert is a true star. I am sorry for America which didn't get it right. All the seasons they have chosen mostly the same versions of boring singers. Many of them has been forgotten just in months. Now a shiny brilliant rare rock star is there and the stupid voting system which lets repetitive votes count ruins everything!
I am a fan of Iran and Adam has a lot of fans like me all over the world. We respect you Adam so much and we believe in you as much as you are believing in yourself. Well done so far. We are following you and even buy your songs and albums which is not easy but you worth it.

Adam, you are the idol of true music lovers. Many of those who didn't vote for you are not the concert goers or the album buyers. Your performances were the best ever on American Idol. We love you and we will buy whatever you put out!!

Was it as irritating for you guys, as much as it was for us (the viewers) when you finish off a performance – which you worked so hard on in a short amount of time, giving your blood sweat & tears for – and you are standing centre waiting for your critique.... and the Judges just waste airtime by arguing and acting foolish instead of offering advice on your performance?? eg/ crayons? Adam- I have great admiration for the artist you are. I am glad you are true to yourself and enjoy life. I would like to know if you have any plans of an album. Simon didn't get you – that song BAD WORLD friken rocks and I loved the theatrics and the song. Definately put that on an album, it will make you rich. Clay Akins comments are surprising being that he didn't want to admit his life choice until after Idol and apparently is ashamed of who he is. Ellen Degeneris is a great role model so I don't get the BS you wouldn't be a good role model. Someone blogged that about you before the finals. LOVE YOU DOG!!!

I have watched this competition for years, but never really been that into it because of the boring, bland and safe singers that it tends to have (lol no offence to anyone :p), but then I saw Adam and was completely mesmerized by his daring performances on stage. He's truly a unique talent. The music industry has been producing forgettable crap for a long time now, and it’s time for someone like Adam to come and mix things up a little. I'm in my twenties, but I have always thought music was better in the 60s, 70s and 80s than what it has been for the last 20 years. Now we have these one hit wonders who can't sing for there life, but who become famous only because of their looks. You, Adam, on the other hand have real talent. I hope that when you make a record you take some influences from those great music decades and make it relevant and current in today's music market. And I really hope the record label doesn't tone you down in any way!

Kris and Adam, I thought your performance with Queen was amazing! And you Adam, with your vocals, did justice to Freddie and Queen. I want you to do your own thing, and own record, in the future, but if they do offer it to you, you should definitely consider doing a few Queen concerts here and there too. If there’s anyone that can show tribute to Freddie with their voice, it’s you.

Maybe the next Season of American Idol should be done differently. First off, Do not reveal the singers, Name, photo, or information. Lets judge this next show by the true talent. Everyone is so in love with Adam who is drop dead pretty, a professional to begin with. He was in Theatrical – drama theater play's performing parts. That isn't what American Idol is about, it is about the amateur person. At the age of 23 Adam has been around the block more then once. He has true talent and if Queen or Kiss was smart they would take him on as the lead singer. He would fit in and put them to the top of the charts. Congrats... they both did amazing and I would have been happy either way because they have different styles of singing, and they both rocked those types, so you really need to judge more on which style America likes better.
I think that to make the voting fair, each person should only be able to vote once, so that way people can't change the way it goes. If I had 2 texts per minute from person A and a competitor had 3 texts per minute from person B, who do you think will win? The other competitor does, and maybe I was better, so is that fair? No it isn't.
What do you think about changing it to 1 vote per person? If there was only 1 vote from each person, the margin of wins and losses may be smaller or larger.

Danny, this is the first season I have watched Idol. I believe you were there for such a time as this. Great idea, but we all know American Idol like everything else in Hollywood is all about the stuff on the surface. It explains why they put bikini girl through to Hollywood and then had her on the finale and then had Ryan Seacrest waste time showing clips of her and talking about her on Larry King Live instead of talking to the Idols who the audience wanted to hear from. It is very interesting to imagine what the outcome of this season would have been had you only heard the contestants voices and not seen them. I would guess Kris Allen, Danny Gokey and perhaps Allyson might have been the top 3 because that had the most raw talent.

I noticed that Adam's right hand thumb isn't painted. Why is that?

Thank you Kris Allen fans. You are totally responsible for getting Kris into the final 2. Yeah! Having Adam and Kris together at the end was like making lemonade. Adam and Danney at the end would have been rancid.

After 4 days of thinking it over I think this was actually the best outcome for Adam, especially if we can stop the hating on Kris. We've seen Kris who got bussed so many many times from the judges get the crown he didn't want. Adam who got every form of praise imaginable has been heroic in his steadfast support of his friend Kris.

My questions and comments are for Adam: you are a such a brilliant and amazing performer that I fell in love with you from day one and couldn't wait to see you from week to week! I've now downloaded all of your music from American Idol on iTunes and my question is this: how hard is it for you to translate the intensity of your live performance of a song to the studio version? Although I love ANYTHING you do, I just noticed that the studio versions sound a bit more subdued although still outstanding! I do, however, really enjoy the intensity (including the pauses, the phrasing, and the visual performance) of your live versions. Also, do you use a studio band or Ricky Minor's band from the show for the recording sessions? I can't believe there are people who think that religion plays a role in who wins or loses. I for one am not religious in the least and I supported Danny because he has a great voice and he has that soulful R&B sound. My next favorite was Matt for the same reason and when it came down to Kris vs Adam, I supported Kris because his style is closer to what I like. I know this is true of many of my co-workers, friends, and family. We just don't enjoy Glamrock as much as other styles of music. I believe when Danny referred to his fan base as being more similar to Kris's fan base, he meant in terms of music, NOT religion. Last night on Larry King he said there were all kinds of factors that come into play for voters and he specifically said he thought the judges always complementing Adam might have hurt Adam because he thought voters might have felt that Kris wasn't getting the credit he deserves so they decided to vote for Kris to show that he too deserved to win as much as Adam. So all this talkk about religion and Red state vs Blue state is nonsense – As a matter of fact Danny's state of Wisconsin is about as Blue as they come!

On the last night for the sing off between you and Kris I was wondering did you or someone else suggest that you tone down what some called your screaming style that some found offensive and also if you changed it up and not had tongue action that some of the news media were laughing about and that's why you chose to sing the songs in a toned down manner so that more people would find it appealing?

Do you think that it is fair that the judges favor those who have a wider vocal range despite the fact that in reality, artists who are topping the charts and getting awards are not necessarily those having a wide vocal range? They always mention artistry but it seems to be overshadowed more by big voices.

Follow-up: Given this observation, do you think that people like John Mayer, Katy Perry, Duffy would have any chance of winning American Idol?

1. What is the salary you make during the Idol concert tour and does Kris and Adam earn more than the other finalists?

2. There are always differences in a diverse group of people and don't say there wasn't! I was wondering what was a major source of contention amongst a couple of you that grew to the whole group as having to take sides and how was it resolved?

How long did you have to rehearse with Cyndi to work through the arrangement? The artistry and chemistry between the two of you was awesome.

Also, any chance of more duets with Adam? During Rock Week you said you had considered "Somebody to Love" by the Jefferson Airplane. I lived through the '60s in the Bay Area and was a big Airplane fan, but I can imagine you and Adam doing the Marty Balin and Grace Slick parts to some of their classic (and more obscure, but great) songs- example, High Flying Bird – and blowing them away by comparison.

Last season I watch this show. Adam should have easily won

According to Simon Cowell, this competition is based on talent. Okay, lets just say that if we never saw what Adam or Kris looked like and knew nothing about them, just heard them sing, not taking into account what style or type of music one likes best.. just based on raw talent of singing ability.. Im sorry, but Adam would win hands down. He is the most talented.. even though some may not like the high notes he hits,(some call is screeming.. its singing) the fact is, he can hit them and that is talent and a gift and something to be awarded.

I know Kris said that he would hope that people would vote based on the music and talent, but the sad truth is, people dont. I feel Adam was robbed, and what an insult it is to him to not take the Idol crown. He was the most consistant, creative, exciting, and talented contestant to EVER grace the idol stage. His confidence and how he takes command of that stage, is like no other. The votes were NOT based on talent. I dont think the judging should be left up to American anymore. At least not to decide the winner of american idol.. I feel the judges should decide that from now on. American takes to many other things into account when voting, except the raw talent.

Kris, you have a lovely voice and can sing as well.. I just think as far as who would be the most talented, it would HAVE to go to Adam.

And by the way, I'm a radical Christian, and I love Adam's "guyliner", nail polish, absolutely love the hair...everything! In regards to your sexuality, its nobody's buisness. This was a singing competition. As far as I'm concerned, if people didnt vote for your because of your sexuality, then they should throw out most of the clothes they wear because its a good chance they were made for a fashion designer who's sexuality they might not agree with either.
My "Chrisitan" vote went to Adam. Even if I didnt like Adam's music and style, honestly, I still would of voted for him because that would of been the right decision BASED on talent. Honor should be shown where honor is due, regardless.. and Adam deserved this honor.

What Adam is or isn't in his private life is no one's business and has absolutely NOTHING to do with his talent (which is the best to come along on the music scene in a long time). I was texting my granddaughter and asking her to vote, I was hitting re-dial and doing the text thing too to vote for Adam. I have him on my iPod and can't wait for his first record to come out! Since you have been on Idol have you had time to listen to more secular music and if so are there any current artists that you like?

Danny, please check out the rights to the awesome hit single from 1992, "Would I Lie to You?" by Charles and Eddie. Sadly, Charles Pettigrew passed away in 2001, but Eddie Chacon is still producing music. I think your R&B combo of smoothness and gravel could make that song a number one hit again. How much control do you and your fellow contestants have in choosing your music after the season is over?

Danny, you were my favorite throughout the whole competetion. Do you have any idea what you will be singing on the tour?

Wow, Jovie, you must write fiction books. Where are you getting all this conspiracy stuff about Danny trying to get Adam kicked off. Not from anything he said. He said good things about both Kris and ADAM. Adam said great things about Danny. Danny said he thought that his fans would probably vote for Kris because they were similar in styles. Adam said the exact same thing. You need to find some kindness instead of hate. There is enough of that in the world.

My question is for Adam. Adam, I think you are amazing and I can't wait to see you on tour and buy your CD when it drops. My question is did you ever hear from Robert Plant or anyone else from Led Zeppelin regarding your performance of "Whole Lotta Love". It was amazing!

It is not fair for you to be critical of a minister for wanting a Believer to win. Makes sense to me. Just like it makes sense that some women and girls wanted Allyson or Lil to represent; some gays may have thought Adam should win so that he could represent; some teenagers may have supported Allyson because they wanted a 17 year old to represent; some people of Indian descent may have wanted Anoop to win so he could represent, etc... It just so happens that Kris's Christianity was well known and so Pastor Pruitt supported him after Danny was eliminated. For all you, me or Pastor Pruitt knows, Adam may very well be a devout Christian also, and it was just not emphasized on the show. Maybe if Pastor Pruitt knew for sure that Adam was also a Believer he might have encouraged people to vote for him so that Adam could represent. After all he did say some very complimentary things about Adam.

Danny & Kris~ As men of faith, how has the American Idol experience tested and also strengthened your faith?

First, I would like to congratulate Kris on winning and all others for their good work. Really couldn't wait for Tuesdays to see the show, did not like Wednesdays because I would get all nervous. (especially one Wednesday in particular I did not like). I would like to ask Adam how it felt to perform with KISS and QUEEN. (It was awesome watching it). I wish all of you the best in whatever you choose to do and am sure you can do it.

Adam – I think that so many people can take lessons from you, you know who you are and you embrace it, you’re not afraid to be yourself, instead you have stayed true to yourself. You also seem to be able to find the positive in most situations. Unfortunately, I think that so many people feel out casted and oppressed in today’s society to the point that they are afraid to be themselves. Would you ever consider writing a book or doing motivational speeches? Also what is the meaning behind your tattoo?
Congratulations to you, Kris, and all of the other contestants. You are all are winners!
