Judge Judy
Why is a juror question before picked to serve?
And would I be a good juror if before a Case ever
get started I already have my answere?

The man who tossed the child out the car is Guilty
Drew Petersen is guilty
Why spend tax payers money to
trial cases like these?

Have you ever felt the need to follow up on any of the litigants?

I love your show. Keep the DVDs coming!

Jennifer Laniado   May 21st, 2009 9:07 pm ET

Judge Judy,

I really think you are a great woman. Not having a mother-figure in my life, I look up to you.
I watch your show and listen to the advice you give to many young ladies my age. So, thanks.

My question to you, "What made you decide to go into law? How did you decide that you wanted to become a judge? What's your favorite part of your job?

VJ   May 21st, 2009 9:08 pm ET

Dog Fighting was in existence way before Michael Vick was born, so he didn’t create it. If these people cared about Human Rights as much as they care about Animal Rights this world would be indeed a better place. They treated blacks way worse that this everyday. I don’t see anyone in this nation standing up and screaming. These same folks eat meat…Did they not realize that the animal was KILLED for them to eat meat….GIVE ME A ………..BREAK……..

Dan Kerstetter   May 21st, 2009 9:12 pm ET

Has Judge Judy been considered as a nominee for Supreme Court Justice? Would she accept a considerstion?

Dianne C.   May 21st, 2009 9:12 pm ET

Judge Judy,

First of all, if I could be anyone other than myself, it would be YOU. We think sooo much alike!

I would like to hear your comments on the Casey Anthony case please.

And if I might add, you are definitely my favorite person of all times – outside of my kids that is. 🙂

And – I hope I never have to stand in front of you in court. 🙂

steve   May 21st, 2009 9:12 pm ET

Why do some people get more time for dog fighting then for killing a child in a car and hide the car for a week and only gets probation

Kozzmo   May 21st, 2009 9:17 pm ET

I don't think Vick will go back to the NFL. He would demand a top salary, he would be a distraction to the team, he would probably, for the contract he would recieve, be expected to play as a starting QB, and while he is a great athlete, with amazing speed, he has never mastered running an offense. He just doesn't have a knack for timing routes. So its just not worth the bad press for an NFL franchise to take a risk on him.

Jennifer Laniado   May 21st, 2009 9:17 pm ET

One more question- What do you think of the whole Miss California deal? I think she shouldn't have been able to keep the crown, I mean come on, posing topless and then trying out to be a role model for many young girls? How many girls do you think saw that and thought they could or would want to do the same!

Anna   May 21st, 2009 9:17 pm ET

Just wondering...if the show is taped in CA and the litigants come from all states, why do the opening titles make it seem that the court is set in Manhattan? The cases are REAL, the people are REAL, but the courtroom is NOT really in New York!

John in Marina del Rey   May 21st, 2009 9:21 pm ET

Michael Vick should never play in the NFL again.

Judge Judy, no offense – your Michael Vick comments demonstrate a major lack of judgment. The whole surgeon analogy could not be more false. Being a surgeon is a PRIVATE thing. Being an NFL player is a PUBLIC thing, where being a role-model and acting in the public-eye is a material element of the privilege of making millions a year. It's not simply about one's ability as an athlete – to suggest that is either naive or a subterfuge to justify your personal feeling.

Consider Pete Rose, banned from Major League Baseball for being accused of gambling. No dogs were brutalized.

Consider Marge Schott or Jimmy the Greek, both of whom lost their positons due to remarks deemed racist. Again, no dogs were brutalized.

What about the various baseball players kicked out for steroids? No dogs hurt their, either.

Michael Vick may have done his rehabilitation in prison, but that does not mean he is entitled to the PRIVILEGE of making millions in the NFL. That privilege was lost when he did something so brutal and terrible – that forever ruined his image and role-model status. AND HE GAMBLED ON THE DOG FIGHTS.

The NFL will only let back for (1) greed, as he will undoubtedly draw controversy and therefore revenue and (2) fear of being sued/attacked for being racist.

R.   May 21st, 2009 9:22 pm ET

we are big fans of Judge Judy. Just wanted to know if she had any family issues with her children as teenagers growing up.

angela   May 21st, 2009 9:23 pm ET

Judge Judy, are we losing our freedom in this country?

angela   May 21st, 2009 9:24 pm ET

meg   May 21st, 2009 9:26 pm ET

angela   May 21st, 2009 9:26 pm ET

I would LOVE to see Judy on the Supreme Court.

Karl Comfort   May 21st, 2009 9:28 pm ET

We need more programs like "Judge Judy". Thank You for just plain common sense. Seems like this younger generation has lost this. Wonder what Judge Judy thinks about the discussions between Omaba and Dick Channey?

greg   May 21st, 2009 9:41 pm ET

question for judge judy. so judge judy , you don,t only disagree with the beauty queen. but with God , GOD said marriage is between one man and one woman, please read yourt Bible.

mike   May 21st, 2009 9:41 pm ET

I would like an explanation from Judge Judy as to why she said "jewish people are great Americans, Afro americans are great Americans and white people are great Americans". Why were Jewish people separated from "white people" and/or black people?

kathi   May 21st, 2009 9:44 pm ET

is Judge Judy a grandma ?...

Sherry Summers   May 21st, 2009 9:45 pm ET

I LOVE JUDGE JUDY! I've watched her show ever since i was a little girl! I love how outspoken she is and how honest and how FAIR she is. She is such a lady! She Rocks!

William from Canada   May 21st, 2009 9:47 pm ET

Is your hair your natural color? And how long does it take to get it perfect?
It is beautiful.

Jack   May 21st, 2009 9:47 pm ET

I hear Judy plays a mean game of gin rummy... no surprise from such a smart lady.

Essie   May 21st, 2009 9:48 pm ET

Judge Judy, what are your thoughts on the 5 policemen who were fired recently after the high-speed police chase?

Nancy Manali-Leonardo   May 21st, 2009 9:48 pm ET

Judge Judy,

What do you think about a family court judge ordering a 12 yr. old child to leave the state where she was born (Hawaii) to attend a boarding school in up state New York? The family of this child were wealthy and going through a divorce. There were no findings against the family to warrant this. The child after one month tried to kill herself (no prior history of this), and after four months was able to be transported back to Hawaii. When she returned to Hawaii she was diagnosed with a serious psychriactric disorder. She has never been the same since. This judge still sits on the family court bench!

Stephanie James   May 21st, 2009 9:48 pm ET

Hi Judge Judy,

If you were nominated to serve on the Supreme Court would you?

Dianne C.   May 21st, 2009 9:49 pm ET

If everyone had the ethics and morals as you do Judge Judy, this would be a nicer world.

I also wanted to comment on your TV show. I like Burt (I hope I spelled his name correctly. He makes a great side kick!

Jerroid   May 21st, 2009 9:51 pm ET

Good Evening Mam,

This country is precious, some of us take for granted the importance of rules and law. Laws are put in place to protect us from ourselves. You are a good and realistic role model for many around this world. Keep doing what you doing telling it how you see it. I truly hope you are next to be appointed to this country Supreme Court. I am most definitely sure that you are at the top of President Obama list.

Harry   May 21st, 2009 9:51 pm ET

Certainly dog fighting should be stopped, however when people get more upset about that than about what happens to humans something is very wrong with society.

Mike   May 21st, 2009 9:53 pm ET

I watch Judge Judy sometimes. I wouldn't want to be in her courtroom, and have her mad at me.

Zena   May 21st, 2009 9:53 pm ET

Judge Judy you are such a great role model!

Dr Maurice Malin   May 21st, 2009 9:54 pm ET

Good Evening Larry:

Who would you like to interview that you have not been able to. I think your book is exceellent.

Keep it up (a nice jewish guy in Canada)

Elizabeth Fabianski   May 21st, 2009 9:54 pm ET

Judge Judy ~ you are one of the best if not the best. A true role model for me. I admire you greatly! Elizabeth in Illinois

Harvey   May 21st, 2009 9:56 pm ET

Judge Judy – How much thought do you give to a case before you hear it on the air. Are you predisposed to a decision before the parties argue or do you hold your decision till the end? Be fair. Aren't some cases obvious?

Erin   May 21st, 2009 9:56 pm ET

my mom loves your show, it makes her day!

Harvey   May 21st, 2009 9:58 pm ET

Larry, I'm sure you know what to expect from your guests when they ask you a question. How often do they lie to you and what do you do when you know they're lying? Who did you catch?

Ben Abebe   May 21st, 2009 9:59 pm ET

Hi Judge Judy,

What is the harshest sentence you have ever given someone in your courtroom?

Samuel   May 21st, 2009 9:59 pm ET

When does a man stop paying for his crime. Most of the people I hear saying Michael Vick should not be allowed to earn a living in the NFL are jealous white Guys who couldn't play boys club football, and are mad because of the amount of money these men earn. I don't hear them yelling Martha Stewart shouldn't be allowed to have a T.V show and she's a convicted FELON, Mike Didn't kill the dogs himself. He's guilty of financing a illegal sport. Now peta and every group wants to make him a poster boy like Barry bonds, he didn't invent dog fighting like barry didn't invent steroids. Mcguire was doing it years before barry was accused, but nobodys calling for jail time. !!!!!!!!!!!!! (Is that Crickets I hear)

You are truly an inspiritation for many woman in this country. Will you ever consider of being on the supreme court? I think you are qulified for this most high precious position. I think you are capable of making good sound descision as it relates to the 21st century. I hope to see you on the U.S. Supreme Court bench. I think that you hold the basic fundamentals to be a good American citizen.

claudette woods   May 21st, 2009 10:01 pm ET

Judge Judy, you are one of a kind. My Dad told me I could be Prime Minister of Canada , if I put my mind to it, I told my children the same. I went back to school after I raised my children, at fourty yrs, and got my nursing degree , and nursed for 25yrs. I watch you every day, I like your style. You're a smart cookie.

Ann Worden   May 21st, 2009 10:21 pm ET

I did not enjoy Judge Judy being on your show. Her show is one of the worst I have ever seen on tv. I always looked up to people who are judges in a very respectful manner; however Judge Judys' courtroom is a ridiculus circus. She is more of a rude commedian, insulting and discusting. I can't believe why anyone would be on her show after seeing her behavior towards the people. And does she honestly believe that she has no regrets about any of her verdicts?

Desiree   May 22nd, 2009 12:17 am ET

I think Jude Judy is awesome. She is smart, funny, and cool. I watch her almost every night with my parents. I want to know what the strangest thing that happened during the show was.

Desiree   May 22nd, 2009 12:19 am ET

Judge Judy rules!

Single Dad   May 22nd, 2009 12:25 am ET

Judge Judy,

I believe there is an epidemic in this county with woman gaming the family court system and judges allowing it. The Violence Against Woman Act has set the stage for woman to have their husbands removed from the marital home and from their children and the Judges hands are ties to make logical decisions in the best interest of the children.

Question: What do you think should be done to reform the Family Court system to help focus on the best interest of children. What are your thoughts on VAWA?

Desiree   May 22nd, 2009 12:31 am ET

how old r u

Cathy   May 22nd, 2009 12:38 am ET

I just want to say that I never, and I mean never, miss your show, Judge Judy. I tape it four times a day and watch it at night when I just want to relax and listen to someone I know will absolutely make sense. There are so many ridiculous things going on in the world between people, and I feel really good knowing that you've got your little (huge that is) corner covered. Thank you. I think you are probably the most fascinating and beautiful person on tv and I always agree with you. Why? Because I'm no brain slouch either. :). If I'm following you, I know I'm still okay.

Tim   May 22nd, 2009 12:44 am ET

I'm a 23 year old man and I believe that younger women have a role model that they need to learn from! Judy is a sexy woman who really knows how to present herself! I especially enjoy how she truly thinks before she speaks.

Cathy   May 22nd, 2009 12:47 am ET

Judge Judy,

Do you have a stylist, or just great taste, because you look absolutely stunning?

Nancy Fraser   May 22nd, 2009 12:47 am ET

Judge Judy where do you get your metaphors from? You once told a man that he was as "dumb as a bucket of bricks". I agreed though I had never heard the phrase before.

Jim   May 22nd, 2009 12:50 am ET

Would your Judgeship consider dinner with a vietnam era vet, computer nerd, tennis player, Eagles and Vivaldi Four Seasons fan, half-breed (Ojibwe), progressive/conservitive liberal? That last part means I believe we should protect our way of life but the average citizen doesn't really need nor want to know what we send our well trained boys to do. Been there, done that. I'm not unknowledgeable about what happens in wars. Including undeclared wars. Also Judy, I think our justice system is mired in antiquated thought. There must be better ways to allow criminals back into society than total ostrasization. But I would enjoy a lobster dinner to talk with you about these things. I would enjoy an evening just talking about how television is wasting our vitality. But most of all, I would just like to hear about you and how you got where you are.

Please write a book.

Daniel   May 22nd, 2009 12:53 am ET

I wish more people would think like you do. You are an inspiration!

james   May 22nd, 2009 12:54 am ET

Are we done with this miss cali thing already? I've had quite a few gay friends in the past and all have tried to get in my pants. Thanks but no thanks. Yes, Americans in general will become "more tolerant" of same sex SEX! With constant constant constant constant constant pushing of it I am sure it will....much like say if it were white power or sex with large chickens. Love is love but as far as I can tell homosexuality is sex with the same sex....not love of the opera or anything like that. Believe me there are plenty of people tired of all this miss cali slamming and it has absolutley nothing to do with the JUDEO-christian agenda. God bless Iowa my home state. With gay marriage do they revieve special tax insurance? If so, I want to marry my nephew. Would you be intollerant to this? If so...we need alil bit of that constant bla bla to make it acceptable. Also...pierced and tatooed people are wonderful americans as well...not just looking for atention.

Kedusha   May 22nd, 2009 12:57 am ET

Nobody messes with judge judy. I've watched your show since i was 12. You are a unique person who settles disputes fairly. Your the best

james   May 22nd, 2009 1:44 am ET

Interesting comment from someone above....why is it that you said jewish and not say morman? Always found it odd the hate of christians when it is the jeish faith that is the grandfather of the christian religion. Ughhh. One less thing I could do without is all the jibbe jabber of jewishness....hahah. Gosh I sound like a hater but it just gets old. Can we give alil love to the summarians?

chidi   May 22nd, 2009 5:11 am ET

Welldone judy...u r my role model

Kawthar   May 22nd, 2009 5:53 am ET

I am from Trinidad and Tobago. Iwatch Judge Judy everyday. Ilove her style and I think that all judges around the world should take example from her. I love her no nonsense attitude. Keep it up!!!! I love you.

als   May 22nd, 2009 6:30 am ET

Judge Judy is the best. I wish Pres Obama would pick someone who thinks like Judge Judy. If shes not available maybe her husband .

Dave of Detroit   May 22nd, 2009 5:50 pm ET

Judge Judy-Is it a conflict of interest for a Vice-President of the United States to be allowed to keep his large Block of Halliburton Shares when his company is getting exclusive no bid contracts from the Pentagon?

You're great but I still want Whoopie Goldberg to replace Justice Souter on the Supreme Court. Her name "Goldberg" has the Supreme Court ring and I would love to hear a ruling beginning with the phrase{ "You have got to be S--- me, are you out of your mind?" I can just see the ACLU lawyers running for the door with papers strewn all over the place!

felton bernard   May 22nd, 2009 8:11 pm ET

I watch Judge Judy courtroom show most every day and I know she's the best at what she does. I've see the rest of the Judges on TV but they don't add up to Judge Judy brilliant mind, yes she should consider Supreme Court she'll bring down the house. thanks Judge Judy for doing your Duty you go girl.
