The media circus around this is appalling. People like to argue "freedom of speech" but I believe freedom of speech is the right to stand up for yourself and your principles. It is not about the right to gossip and malign.

Just because the Anthony's are standing by their daughter, it in no way diminishes their great sadness over the death of their lovely granddaughter.

It is very, very difficult to stop loving your child, regardless of the circumstances.

I couldn't go 2 minutes without knowing where my child is, never mind 31 days. It just doesn't make sense that she went for so long without telling someone that Caylee was missing.

It was said in the past that Cindy wanted to get custody of Caylee, if Casey were such a wonderful mom then why take the child? I understand they love their daughter but they are still doing her damage by not admitting to themselves that she was not a good person.

The best thing the Anthony's can do for their daughter is to be silent. On several occasions I've heard Cindy trying to throw other people "under the bus" to take the focus off their daughter. That's why many people have problems with them. I would stand by my daughter if something happened to my granddaughter... but I would never LIE.

If they lived at your house...Why not reaching out to Law Enforcement before the 31 days of not seeing Caylee.

this woman (cynthia anthony) is a joke. first of all you find nothing wierd about partying when your daughter is missing and not reporting it. also she made comments that she even thought of suicide back in August 2008 when SHE INSISTED CALLEY WAS ALIVE AND SOMEONE HAD HER. She also has stole money from her friend, X boyfriend and grandfather. Casey never wanted this child and wanted to give her up for adoption and has told her friends her mother was controlling and tried to strangle her once. She wanted to stay away and make a life away from the Anthony home.. and Cindy always interfered and was too controlling. The truth of the matter is.. IF Cindy was a better mother to Casey and did not force her into having a child that she was too young to have in the first place and allowed her to give her up for adoption this all would not have happened. I think Casey for sure manipulated her parents and controlled the house hold. George in jail on tape once said she is the boss.. and I beleive its always been that way.. unfortunately and sadly enough. I am sorry for the loss of Caley Marie who was beautifl and did not desserve to be killed. But.. I beleive your daughter is guilty as sin!

I have met everyone who has ever babysat her, I have been to every house she ever stayed at, and have met everyone of her play friends always with my 35 yr. old daughter. Don't you really know who Zanny the Nanny is? Cassey said she had been leaving her with Zanny for a Year and a Half! Zanny is Zaniflex or Zanex , Look closely at the pictures of Caylee, the dark circles under her eyes, and she was probably tierd more often the last year and half of her life. Cindy keeps saying what a loving and caring mother Casey was. Yet when Casey was on the telephone talking to, I think it was her brother Lee, Casey said "mom keeps saying I'm an unfit mother and maybe I am". So what is it Cindy loving and caring or unfit? Also they say they have someone else in mind who could have murdered Caylee, and I even heard the defense might point the finger at the meter reader who found Caylee. Casey said out of her lying mouth that the nanny took her. So how pray tell did someone else or the meter reader get Caylee from the nanny? I really would like to know how they are going to answer that one.

The highest percentage of my blogs are positive and encouraging, infact besides Levi Johnson's appearance I don't think I have ever posted a negative blog anywhere. C&G: My heart has gone out to you both since day 1 ( or 30?) of hearing this story. I still have deep empathy for your grief.
Being of the same age/generation as C&G I can tell you that I was raised with a father that had a belt and an Italian temper. Although both my grown sons can concur that I never hit either of them I believe that they would both tell you that they would not want to see my reaction if a two year old immediate family member that lived under my roof had not been home for 7 days none the less 30 days hadn't been seen or in their bed at night.
Cindy and George, help me to understand this part as I do understand that one should never ever say "that wouldn't happen to me" until they walk in someone else's shoes. Why didn't you demand to see tor speak with the baby that lived in your house with her adult mother that was coming and going? Does a Disneyland salary allow for a nanny full time? George, you were a cop how do you explain this?
As a member of the healthcare community for more then 30 years I can confirm first hand that "once you have smelled death you will never forget it and nothing smells like it". You were both trained professionals?
George, I heard your retired and although you seem like one hell of a nice guy thrown into this nightmare, I pray that you are not accepting the OHIO taxpayers money as a means of funding your "retirement." The state of Ohio is in dire straits along with the country with their unemployment rate. As a retired police officer that in your own words has "smelled death" it suggests that you were incompetant during your tenure and "did time" in place of doing your job. Now that your both raking in the bucks you might want to "donate" your retirement monies to some unfortunate families in Ohio that have lost their jobs or homes. Leave the "kid finding" to the professionals.
Trust me, I will be one of your strongest and vocal supporters once Casey has "had her day in court" and they show me who really killed that beautiful baby Caylee. I know without a doubt that it wasn't for money (as the could have sold her on the black market) and it doesn't appear that your life style suggests "shady" people had a vengence against you.
As a parent, I too would support my children. You might want to be a little less vocal and public about your support. It appeared as though you made an effort to be on LKL and that this wasn't just a matter of reporters surrounding your home and vehicles. Which I thought was appalling at the time. As a parent we also sometimes have to accept defects. It has become more apparent that Casey Anthony is the product of a genetic deficency that has been apparent for a lot longer then the short time Caylee had on this earth.
God Bless Caylee Marie and keep her safe now. As a mere human I apologize that her own family couldn't do that.
The next time I watch them will either be at the trial or when Oprah does the interview!

If that child was unwanted anyone of them could have walked to a corner store, post office, hospital, or if no vehicle available called or asked a neighbor to call 911. Almost a year later and Caylee could have to continued to perfect her version of "You Are My Sunshine" which we have all seen with tears many times.

I have "dug down deep" for honesty in the making of the following comment., so here goes: If I were presented w/ ONE THIRD of the eveidence that the Anthonys were w/regards to my daughter's behavior in such a situation, there would be NONE of the willful denyal they now exhibit. I would pay for my daughter's attorney, and I would visit her in jail, BUT, even though It would tear my heart out to know what she was now facing as a consequence of her actions,, I WOULD NOT LIE TO COVER FOR HER!! Period....I raised her to be accountable for her choices and as my ONLY CHILD , although love her with all of what is in my very soul, I would not try to protect her from such an action as the murder of my grandchild...She would answer to ME, the legal system, and God almighty, IN THAT ORDER. that baby (Cayle) never had a damn chance, in that family. It is a pity that Casey's parent do not know their daughter very well. If she can stieal money from different people and refused to tell them; this means she can do anything more grievious without telling them. Why are they too sure that she can not kill her own daughter. Please, Casey's parent should take heart over their daughter's matter. She committed the murder. The verdict of the case will shock them the more if she later confess all the truth.

This story really hit's home for me because i have a daughter and her name is Kaylie...when she was 3yrs old her and a friend wondered into the woods while we attended a baby shower...it only takes a second for them to disapear granted Kaylie was only missing for an hr because i imediately contacted police....its was the worst hr of my life!!!!!!!!!!! I don't understand why she would wait a month and claim she was doing the search herself that is a down right LIE!!!!! and then everything she told the police was a LIE!!!! she is sooooo GUILTY!!! The Anthonys are trying to establish a foundation in Caylee's name to assist families with abducted children. Justice is best served whenever a jury determines why precious little Caylee lost her life, and by whose hand. In my opinion, after there is legal resolution, Caylee's memory can be honored with donations.

I found this episode distrubing to watch on May 13th. I feel there are things the Anthony's know but are covering up. By omission the Anthony's are lying. I know it is there job to support their daughter in anything that she does, but will they still support their daughter if they found out that their daughter knowingly killed their granddaughter. If I killed my son accident or on purpose I would not expect the act to be lied about, overlooked, or excused. However I would never harm my son for any reason.

Ann, Ann, Ann (or shall we say Cindy) – under normal circumstances a memory can be honored with donations but to donate to people who aren't honoring the child's memory would be hypocritical, no? To honor one's memory, would be to help find the murderer and if the Anthony's really believed in their daughter then they would still be out there looking for the killer. Question, the defense is that Zanny the nanny took the child and we have seen the civil depositions....Cindy point blank said this is not the same Zanaida. So, if she believed that and believes her daughter that Zanaida took her, and that Zanaida is still out there why are they not looking for her? Also, I get standing by your child but I would think standing by your slain grandchild would come first. Stand by Casey and give her the unconditional love, nobody would think poorly of them for doing that but don't stand by Casey at the expense of lessening the gift God gave them named Caylee. Anyone who sends donations to the Anthony's will be donating to Casey's defense and not for Caylee...they think all the public are stupid and can be fooled.

I bet the reason Casey would not reveal who was paying for her expensive defense team was because if people found out they were paying for Caylee's accused murderer,s defense some of the money would stop coming in. Casey told the judge in private and the public will never know.

Great job..tastefully done!..I was a Mom at 16 and again at 17 and survived..and so did my sons!..they grew to be strong, healthy young men and I had no help from anyone..sure, it was hard and I missed my senior prom but once I knew I was carrying a child..that was it..that child was the most important person in my life..when they got older and I was in my 30's I had plenty of time to party.and I did!. My Dad always told me 'you made your bed, etc'..he has passed on now and I still carry some of his wisdom with me..he always made us stand up and face our consequences for our action..Caylee was not a mistake..she was a gift..if Casey didn't want the gift she should have 'given it away' ..NOT DESTROYED HER!..

I have been curious as to how this family has been able to afford such an expensive defense team-and from the onset. These famous lawyers and specialists in their fields are probably going to total multi millions of dollars by the time all is said and done.I find it most curious that Casey will get the best defense that money can buy. Too bad LKL didn't get an answer for that.

I just can't get my head 'round all the people who are willing to identify w/the Anthony's (unenviable) position of parent of murderer vs. grandparents of murderd child, so sympathetically...Personally, I'd feel alot more compassion for them if they'd stop REPEATEDLY demonstrating the lack of parenting skills that produced a Sociopath (their daughter) to begin with..Example: lying, denial, enabling, etc..Guess we know where the girl learned her behavior, don't we?

Add to that their willingness to implicate any and all OBVIOUSLY innocent people to deflect from thair offsprings guilt.

What if, by some miracle, their efforts DID get this creature (Casey) off the hook? That would mean that they are more than willing to live with the fact that the murderer of their INNOCENT grandchild "walks"..It also means that Casey gets to "breed" (or cultivate) more potential victims for herself.....Friends, boyfriends, GRANDCHILDREN for ole George -n- Cindy, etc.
I don't know who is "advising" these two people (or not, as the case may be) But it seems to me that their best chance to save this little monster (Casey) is to wait until the penalty phase and plead as parents that since they've already lost a grand-daughter, that their daughter should be spared to spend life in prison..i.e. two deaths in one family is more than enough, or the "haven't we lost enough already" argument..
Personally, I think Casey Anthony DESERVES to get the needle, but my logical side thinks she should be spared so she can be locked up and (along with her whole family) be studied for the perverse abberration that she is (or they are)..This creature is a mutant...We should study all mutants to learn how NOT to make any more of them.....
