Casey Anthony's defense questions three more witnesses

Posted: 11:57 PM ET

By Drew Petrimoulx via WDBO

Three more witnesses were deposed Monday by Casey Anthony's defense.

The depositions center around what happened on August 11, 2008 in the same woods where Caylee Anthony's remains would be found four months later.

art.close.CayleeMeter Reader Roy Kronk(pictured) told fellow employees he thought he saw a skull that day. His tip to Crimeline was responded to by Deputy Adriana Acevedo who was among the three witnesses questioned by defense attorney Jose Baez. Acevedo told investigators that she never met with Kronk and only did a limited search in response to his tip.

David Dean, another meter reader, was deposed by Baez. He was with Kronk on August 11th. Dean told investigators that Kronk said he spotted what he thought was a skull in the woods, but they got distracted after spotting a dead rattlesnake.

This show is now at the same level as The National Enquirer.
Anthonys, Drew Peterson, California Beauty Queen and so on.
Come on folks get it together and talk about something that is not pure smut or about psychopaths.

Charlie Jacobson   May 12th, 2009 12:57 am ET

To Cindy and George Anthony .My heart goes out to you both and your beautiful Grandaughter Kaylee. The world whould have been a better place with your angel. When this is all over I wish you both peace and love. Charlie (:

The ScamAnthony's need to stop using Caylee's blood as part of their retirement plan. These so-called grieving grandparents spend all their time buying fishing boats and selling Caylee t-shirts and setting up fake foundations as non-profit, yeah right!! All the Anthony's have done IS profit from Caylee, from selling her videos and pictures to networks!!! Caylee will receive justice even when these sorry exuses of grandparents have done nothing but obstruct justice!!!! Why seek immunity if you have done nothing wrong and never lied about the circumstances in this case. They need to be in the jail cell with their lying and murderous daughter!!!!!

john   May 12th, 2009 8:50 am ET

A poor little girl is murdered and the bloodsucking grandparents go on and on. Now, we are questioning everyone except the mailman to try to pin this on someone other than the sleazy mother of this poor child. She will get off and be able to go out and party all she wants, and the grandparents will write a book and they will all be happy....except the poor child whose life was cut short.

Dave of Detroit   May 12th, 2009 9:23 am ET

This is called the O.J. Defense-Blame the meter man, the police department, the gloves don't fit etc-combined with the "Twinkie" defense. Not to hurt anyone's feelings, but I wish that a National Law was passed to move all cameras out of all courtrooms in the U.S. and that the media were restricted to getting the results from the jury and attorneys after the case was resolved. Why you ask? Because it is interfering with due process, the rights of a person to be not guilty until proven guilty, and is raising attorney fees to heights undreamed by mortal man-plus, it's none of our Damned business!

Joanne   May 12th, 2009 9:57 am ET

LOL A lawyer deposing who is not qualified.

No Rose   May 12th, 2009 10:51 am ET

Charlie at least spell the child's name right, it is spelled Caylee. Thanks

Gypsy DD   May 12th, 2009 11:02 am ET

I will not watch the Anthony Circus on your show...why are you feeding into their lies and schemes..this is not news ..this just plain ole publicity for the her family and their many "cough" charities that support them. As well as giving the defence the right to say that a jury pool has been tainted..yes by them!

You and your sponsors need to be aware that many people are incensed that you would give them a platform on your show.

What about having the other side of this story on your show..people who actually looked for Caylee Marie ..unlike her family..and people who have been trying to stop the family gaining publicity for the crime their daughter committed.

Now if you were to have Mark Klaus, Tim Miller, John Morgan and Mark NeJame on your show to discuss this might actually get a viewing audience.

Melinda   May 12th, 2009 11:30 am ET

Charlie, Caylee is the correct spelling and do you think you could live at peace full well knowing you lied to no end to protect the murderer of your own grandchild? I pray for the Anthonys to tell the truth, to seek justice for their granddaughter. Casey is an adult who chose her path. Caylee was an innocent toddler, their own flesh and blood, and I will never understand George and Cindy's lack of regard for their granddaughter.

Dave, here in Florida we have what is called the sunshine law. It allows all released items of discovery to be made public. You know what, if people are going to commit crimes, they have to suffer the consequences. Criminals are the first to cry "boo hoo", "poor me", "it's not fair".....but none of these people gave their victim a second thought before committing the crime they are accused of.

No one, other than the State and the voice of the public , is standing up for Caylee Marie Anthony. Not her grandmother Cindy Anthony, not her grandfather George Anthony, not her uncle Lee Anthony or her own mother Casey Anthony.

You say it's none of our business. I strongly disagree with you. Victims need voices to advocate for them, especially when there is not a family member who cares that justice is served for them. Very much like Caylee Marie Anthony.

Larry, swallow the airfare, the hotel, the meal, the limo and do not put George and Cindy Anthony on your show tomorrow. Become a victims advocate instead of the taking part in a campaign based on lies. From Casey to their organizations, it's all a scam, one to BS the public about the evidence and Casey and the other is to scam innocent and caring people for money while exploiting missing children.

Fanny Mae   May 12th, 2009 11:31 am ET

I agree! Lets see the other side of the story for a change. How about talking about the trauma that the people, yes they are people. Law enforcement personel had to go down on their knees in the rain and mud, trying to retrieve each and every tiny little piece of Caylee's body. Can you imagine the horror of that, and then going home to their own children and hugging them tightly. They are paid to do this job, but I wonder how many sleepless nights, flashbacks, and conseling they have had to go through. Talk to them on your show!!! Where were the Anthony's and what were they doing? They were dining at the Ritz and planning their next strategy with their camp, along with publicist and network representative. How they could swallow their crab puff, I do not know!! Sure didn't look like loving grieving grandparents to me. They have no idea what "normal" people do. The Anthonys have done everything azz-backwards since July 15. The only normal and reasonable thing was the 911 call. After that, zilch!

debbie   May 12th, 2009 11:46 am ET

Scott Peterson never has confessed either so why should Casey. It is plain to see little Casey simply got in her mother's way of partying. She was to spiteful to give her daughter to the grandparents so she took her life. Casey will never admit to this crime and all this money and time and blame is so unnecessary. Casey knows what happened to her daughter and only Casey can tell the truth, if she would. I understand her parents are in the middle of losing their grandbaby and seeing their daughter facing murder charges but instead of acting like they really believe her lies they need to get Casey to tell the truth. Caylee deserves that much .

Keri   May 12th, 2009 12:08 pm ET

George has a history of violence, scamming employers with workmans comp. claims, failed car business, and two bankruptcies. Would you trust him with your donations? The public is not a welfare and unemployment fund to support Cindy, Lee, Mallory, Mallory's mother, Kidfinders, Dominic Casey and yourself.

trimm   May 12th, 2009 12:23 pm ET

I for one will not be watching this interview.
I have absolutely no sympathy for any of the Anthonys at this point.Go home and get a job.

Cecybeans   May 12th, 2009 12:44 pm ET

Maybe you could ask the Anthonys why it is so different in FL that an irresponsible, narcissistic party mommy who kills her child can waste valuable resources and generate profits from her deed by concocting outragous lies and trying to frame others, when in CA the same type situation is handled swiftly and without all the ridiculously convoluted confusion. Is it because of people like them who angrily perpetuate their daughter's lies and obstruct justice with every deed? Is it because they think nothing of exploiting the media for their personal agenda and profit? They insult the intelligence of taxpayers everywhere and disrespect their granddaughter who died in part from their neglectful inability to manage the escalating crimes of their own wayward child.

MikiM   May 12th, 2009 1:32 pm ET

I am turning your show off Larry, in spite of all our pleas to you, LKL has chosen to go the route of the journalistic bottom feeders and serve up this sensationalist excrement.

Kimberly   May 12th, 2009 1:35 pm ET

Why would you want to support the Anthonthys and their sham foundation and allow more air time for them to spew lies about this case, and just as importantly, give them blood money to support the defense of their daughter, the murderer of their own granddaughter, Caylee Marie.

The reason why the public has taken on the Anthonys with such vigor is that the Anthonys have never taken a stand for Caylee, never been a voice for her or made it their goal to seek true justice on her behalf, in reference to her death.

Their agenda is raising money through media appearances and their suspect foundation for the defense of their daughter – the likely murderer of their granddaughter.

We all saw the The Anthony Circus Show the first time. I fiind this show offensive to the memory of Caylee Marie. I'm drawing the line, I'm taking a stand for Caylee, along with so many other people she never met.

One more thing, I will not support those who support the Anthonys in their agenda. I will not watch your show.

Thank you.

MAMABEAR   May 12th, 2009 1:51 pm ET

Poor Larry King. He is just to old to handle the likes of Cindy A. I hope he doesn't ask question that might make her chew him up and spit him out. I really hope that this post makes it to Mr King's Security. Please-Please stand close to Mr King in case Cindy goes off on him. She really might jump across the table and do him damage.

I hate for him to do this interview sense he is so close to retirement. Hang in there Mr. King.

James   May 12th, 2009 1:58 pm ET

I'm gonna flip that switch too!!

trimm   May 12th, 2009 2:19 pm ET

Paula   May 12th, 2009 2:48 pm ET

Please rethink having these clowns on your show! George and Cindy are doing nothing but lying about the facts and evidence and have not physically LOOKED for their little grand-daughter when she was supposidly missing. They say Casey is innocent, then who did murder Caylee? Oh yes, was it the nanny, Jesse G., Tony, Ricardo, Amy??

Just take a look at the video taken and the Zenida Gonzales deposition and you will see the TRUE Cindy and George Anthony.

If you MUST have them on your show, keep them in their place! Ask hard questions and do not allow them to start on their Casey is innocent campaign or to "send Casey letters and support" campaign.

Please be an advocate FOR Caylee not a vehicle for George and Cindy to again prosper off the death of their precious grand-daughter and protect their daughter at the expense of innocent others

Dallas, Texas!

Blu   May 12th, 2009 3:12 pm ET

I will not watch.

kel   May 12th, 2009 3:21 pm ET

Dear CNN,
As I sit here reading all of these negative comments with no response from this network, I am quite shocked at the arrogance shown to your viewers. We are mothers, fathers, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, brothers, sisters and friends. Yes, I am just one of the "little" people to your large network, but I can assure you that when the "little" people gather we become the mass. We can and will step up to the plate and do the right thing . In other words, we are the buyers of what you have to offer and at this point I am no longer interested in what you have to sell. So I will take my dollars and no longer spend them with your sponsors and make sure to let them know why. And I will no longer use CNN as my news source.

Dave of Detroit   May 12th, 2009 3:46 pm ET

Looks more like a lynch mob to me but then I went through the Detroit Riots.....Let the justice system take its course folks-she has a blindfold on for a reason!

Brian   May 12th, 2009 3:56 pm ET

Mr. King,

I'm not going to watch more Anthony spin. I stand for Caylee.

Thank you.

Susan - Canada   May 12th, 2009 5:10 pm ET

I cannot believe what is happening here.....all comments are pretty negative and there is another blog on here with over 1,000 comments which are also negative towards the Anthonys.

Larry....your viewing public do NOT want the Anthony's on your show. Why is CNN still going to do this interview? Unbelievable!!!

MMcandy   May 12th, 2009 5:33 pm ET

Evidently Larry King and CNN have nothing better to do with their money then indirectly fund the Defense of Child Murderers. Whoever the idiot is that booked the Anthony's for CNN should be fired. I would like to see money flow to worthy Child Charities; rather then be wasted on these Missing Children Foundation Wannabees. Give it up Anthony's Caylee was never missing, she was hidden by your murdering daughter, no one is buying your missing children spin.

MMcandy   May 12th, 2009 5:35 pm ET

Stop giving the Anthony's a Pulpit to spread their filth... some things are worth more then ratings Larry. Pull the plug, have some honor like Oprah displayed.

Manassas   May 12th, 2009 7:53 pm ET

Your audience is outraged. They want justice for Caylee Marie. Their informed and their not falling for the Anthony spin.

Are the Anthony's truly seeking justice in this case? Are they honoring the life and memory of Caylee?

Their priority is defending Casey, the murderer. As you know, she's their jailed 23 yr old daughter, the mother of their only grandchild, Caylee Marie.

See the outrage?

trimm   May 12th, 2009 8:26 pm ET

Tom Gunther   May 12th, 2009 9:23 pm ET

With John in El Salvador and Elizabeth making the talk show rounds, who is watching the kids and uner the circumstances why wouldn't you want to be spending as much time as possible with the kids?

rowzmerri   May 12th, 2009 9:53 pm ET

this is going to be such a frustrating interview with the Anthony's insult to their Granddaughter and to us. Now she loves and beleives her daughter...before she told Casey's friends what a thief and liar her daughter is and now she sings a different story. I think she loves this attention; she loved the attion she got with Casey's friends and that drama of inserting herself in it all....and as now, all to late. They both should be silent...instead of shamefully acting like they are such a great family.
And If Larry doesn't handle them like a good interview would, and not with kid gloves then I hope that she retorts him as she did Geraldo...and I will change the channel.

Sabrina   May 12th, 2009 11:49 pm ET

Wow the Anthony's again! Its so obvious Casey killed her daughter and they are covering up for her. Why don't you be smart and turn the tables and ask the tough questions at least. Or do an interview with the people that will tell the truth The Grunds, Leonard Padilla, Tony L.... Do not continue to let the Anthony's use you and your show to make more $$$ of Caylees demise, its sick!
THIS IS NOT A MISSING CHILDRENS CASE!!!! IT IS A MURDER CASE and there is a huge difference!

Missy   May 13th, 2009 12:05 am ET

Why would any talk show have the Anthonys and their secretly paid attorny on their programs> They are only going to lie and advertise their latest scam Foundation. "If you love Caylee, send money".

Maybe there will be something exciting on the show like Casey swallowing her gum instead of looking like a cow chewing.

MMcandy   May 13th, 2009 1:54 pm ET

Everyone knows CNN paid the Anthony's to appear one way or another to appear, call it photo licensing fees if it makes you feel better about funding the Defense Team for a child murderer. Can we have subtitles on how much they are being paid? Were the questions given to the Anthony's ahead of time? I think everyone supports Larry King if the Interview was truely fair and you allowed opposing viewpoints on the show to confront the Anthony's on their lies. But they will never appear when someone actually Educated about the case is on... they can only fool newscasters. No one is buying that Caylee was ever missing nor that Cindy and George are qualified to run a Foundation for Missing Children. Caylee was hidden not missing.

MMcandy   May 13th, 2009 1:57 pm ET

Thank you CNN for allowing our viewpoints on this blog, I don't think you are deleting all the opposing views. I have to give you credit on that one point, I just don't like to see corporate money going to the Defense Fund of a child murderer.

MMcandy   May 13th, 2009 7:47 pm ET

I guess Larry is still having the Anthony's on his show.... This is all I can say now, a picture tells a thousand words?
