'Young Stevie Wonder' steals spotlight from Susan Boyle

Posted: 09:50 AM ET

Move over Susan Boyle. A week after the Scottish woman became a global sensation following a barnstorming audition on "Britain's Got Talent," a 12-year-old Welsh boy with a Motown voice has been hailed for his "life-changing" performance on the TV show after earning a standing ovation from Simon Cowell.

Shaheen Jafargholi's prospects looked bleak when the infamously hard to impress Cowell brought the audition to an abrupt halt just one verse into his rendition of "Valerie," the Zutons' song covered by Amy Winehouse.

"You've got this really wrong," Cowell told him. "What do you sing apart from that?"

Jafargholi instead offered to perform "Who's Loving You," written by Smokey Robinson and performed by a young Michael Jackson with the Jackson Five, bringing screams of delight from the audience as he launched into a note-perfect rendition that brought a beaming Cowell and fellow judges Piers Morgan and Amanda Holden to their feet.

"This is how one song can change your life," Cowell told him. "This may be the start of something special for you young man."

Sorry, but as talented as this lil tike is, Susan is in a class all her own.

Susan's story about life and dreams is a universally inspiring story that no one even this newbie to BGT can upstage.

There is a lot of talent in the world and the world needs to be uplifted in a time of crisis-The gifts and calling of God are without repentance-great Biblical truth!

That smelled of staging....the child gets scolded for a bad song...and then belts out like a professional.

Lovely voice the wee boy has but its just one of many. Remember young Frankie Lymen.....he took the world by storm in his day but was a one hit wonder. Sorry, but Susan Boyd is in a different class and she didn't have to be "cute."

I wish this young man all the success in the world, but let's wait and see what he sounds like when he's 47 like Ms. Boyle and his voice has changed!

I like music that is melodic and pleasant to the ear as compared to scretching , bellowing and banging. It will be interesting to see which contestant does more of what?

That boy is no Stevie Wonder. There is only ONE and he is blind
with more VISION than most folks on the planet .BLIND yet he
plays musical instruments and authered and recorded many
many songs that won grammy awards. He is a humanitarian
and an activist. So stop making silly remarks. There are many
that can outsing that little boy in his age group.
And I agree with Terry's comment that the "scolding"
was staged. It was all about the "hype".

How much money is Levi required to pay in support to his son each much and is he current in paying his child support?

It is hard to go up against rich people in court . I would do just what they are doing to head all that off at the pass given the Palins are already playing these games. Using the baby as a weapon, which our family has experienced twice now. It seems to be a common game some women play. Oh yeah the courts help them play good too. I find the whole thing offensive and very inhumane the way the courts support women playing games by holding the children virtually hostage from fathers. I am appalled at the whole dead beat dad thing too. Hey lets prove to the kids thier dad is no good. Man that's healthy! No wonder so many kids are so depressed. I'd be too if anyone told me my dad was no good.

This all happened with the help of USA, and Uk that they have helping terrorist group like Jews. They are like a back bitter. If you help them they will bit you. Jews have bit Palestine people know it your turn in future be ready for it. If you really want to sort out this problem then fulfill Palestine people needs.
