Tofu-loving license plate rejected by DMV

Posted: 07:01 AM ET

CENTENNIAL – A Centennial woman's love of tofu has her involved in a conflict with the DMV.

Kelley Coffman-Lee is a vegetarian who requested a personalized license plate that would read "I love tofu" using these letters "ILVTOFU."

She says she wanted to show her support for a vegetarian lifestyle. The DMV originally approved her request, but later denied it saying the license plate could be offensive.

It is offensive....and if it's going to be an issue and people are deliberately going to abuse and be offensive...go back to the standards plates....

I recently saw a news story about an event that occurred on March 15th called Z-Day which featured the work of Jacque Fresco and the Venus Project. After researching Mr. Fresco further, I found that he had been on Larry King's show a few times over the years. I think it would be great to have Jacque Fresco on the Larry King Live Show again to discuss the recent increase in the popularity of his vision for the future. There are now millions of people who are aware of The Venus Project and I think it would be an exciting topic for Larry's show.

ILTOFU? Only someone with sex on their mind would consider this offensive. If I add a CK in there, well OK then, but this whole story is silly–silly DMV beaucrats with nothing but sex on THEIR minds. So, does this mean TOFU is now a dirty word that can only be eaten, but you cannot print or say? It's kind of ridiculous, don't you think? Maybe the vegetarian lady whose plate was rejected should write the DMV and tell them TOFU-OFF!

I asked for the following tag: PASSLEFT. At first it met opposition because of the word 'ASS' which it encompassed. But as you can see, there are many words which bare that word.

I stood silently praying that the right answer would be revealed.
(The closing of a deal). It was. Although I certainly appreciate the concern, God met the challenge and gave the ok.

Leave it to quiet prayer, without personal will and He will do the deciding. Now I have to explain what my tag means to every passer-by. (It was a simple reminder to please pass on the left, when driving)
Nothing more.
