Larry, I am an average joe-blow from Washington. The most I have ever earned in my life was 65k a year. Wasent for the lack of trying. When Obama outlined his healthcare reform package, I was thrilled! The problem that I have was that after he announced this during his address to congress, was that some ppl were concerned or outraged that he was going after just the wealthy ppl that make over 250k a year.

Why are they out raged? I, and my Family, can live comfortably on 65k and be able to pay all my bills. But I still want to help my fellow man out when he\she asks for help. I guess thats my point. Simply put, If we ALL chip in what we can, not what we want, and not let the few greedy people out there refuse to help, then we would all benefit, and the crisis would hasten to its demise.

Obama is right when he said that its time for change. I say GO, MAN, GO!!!! Thank you

I think ur society is sick to want to take away the babies from the biological mother. USA is rich enough and has the resources to assist ths lady to take care of the children. Other societies is dismayed at american insesitivity to how they treat their own people. Larry, I love your show. Sometimes I find myself a little confused about what's going on. It does seem however that things ( our economy ) and morale, is changing for the better. I really love that our President Obama makes it very clear that no matter Republican or Democrat.., we are ALL in this together, ( good or bad). We are One Nation, not to be divided. All any of us have is hope . If neither you, nor I are running this country, ( nor have what it takes to) , than lets have some faith in the one who Is.

First of all with all that is going on, with the budget and everything else, can someone please tell me why the FootBall, Basketball, Baseball players are still getting paid millions, Why is there so big of a interest in paying someone to play a game, then trying to build jobs that will bring and build up a community.

The Republicans should change their name to the Loyalists! If the Kings of England had the same kind of group, the Magna Carta would have failed. Love the Big and Bold designation-Sure beats Big, sneaky and underhanded that the Bush people came up with-I really loved Bush signing a 670 billion Budget for the war during the big controversy of the Republican TARP Bill and then signing the 810 billion Tarp Bill 4 days later-not bad for a "Lame Duck" President. Notice that very few Republicans mention this bit of chicanery while criticizing all of Obama's Bills as Irresponsible...Wonder why that is??????

On your second point, $1 dollar is about $199,000 too short.
If each of the 300,000,000 million Americans were to be taxed $200,000, that would pay off the debt, China, Russia, and others, and cover expenses; like the education, health, the military. There would even be a little left over for some 'fun' stuff.
How is that $200,000 per citizen NOT going to be passed onto children, grand children and great grand children???
The World Bank and the International Monetary Fund should have stepped in when Enron exposed the Ponzi way your Captains of wild economics are padding their wallets.
