Coulter: Why we don't celebrate 'Historians Day'

Posted: 10:33 AM ET

NOTE: Ann Coulter will be our guest tonight on LKL!  What do you want to ask her? Let us know!

By Ann Coulter

Being gracious winners, this week, liberals howled with delight at George Bush for coming in seventh-to-last in a historians' ranking of the presidents from best to worst.

This was pretty shocking. Most liberals can't even name seven U.S. presidents.

Being ranked one of the worst presidents by "historians" is like being called "anti-American" by the Nation magazine. And by "historian," I mean a former member of the Weather Underground, who is subsidized by the taxpayer to engage in left-wing political activism in a cushy university job.

So congratulations, George Bush! Whenever history professors rank you as one of the "worst" presidents, it's a good bet you were one of America's greatest.

Six months after America's all-time greatest president left office in 1989, historians ranked him as only a middling president. (I would rank George Washington as America's greatest president, but he only had to defeat what was then the world's greatest military power with a ragtag group of irregulars and some squirrel guns, whereas Ronald Reagan had to defeat liberals.)

Please ban Ann Coulter. I am so tired of hearing her wacky, bomb thrower antics. Why do you, Larry, keep having this person on your show? I will not be watching.

Bill L.   February 19th, 2009 12:08 pm ET

Why keep giving her the opportunity, why? The only reason you have Ann Coulter on your show is because you know that she will say anything to sell her book and it will bring you ratings. You will ask her softball questions and she will get away with spewing fact less statements. She is bad for America and bad for American politics. She doesn’t speak for me. I will not be watching.

nellie   February 19th, 2009 12:20 pm ET

I usually do not watch programs that spew hate, one sided or guest who think they know everything, just to sell a book. This person needs to remain on Fox. I tell you, i am so glad the republican party chose M.
Steele, I can't wait for Ann, Rush, Bill and Hannity to start strutting their gold grilles in their mouths and wearing their pants below their butts to recieve the minority vote!

James in Kamiah Idaho   February 19th, 2009 12:33 pm ET

Coulter, you spindley legged Wraith, what the hell do you know about history? You've spent your entire life ignoring that subject, as your present commentary shows....

and while I can certainly name 7 presidents, I doubt that you can name a single truly beneficial thing just one president has done... here... I'll pick

George W. Bush.

James in Kamiah Idaho   February 19th, 2009 12:36 pm ET

Dear Larry, I'll be watching, and oyu can bet your last set of suspenders I'll be commenting on your blog. This is gonna be a hoot!

But in a more respectful tone... ask coulter this little gem will ya...

Why is it that whnever something bad happens, conservatives blame liberals 'first'?

Lorraine Norris   February 19th, 2009 12:51 pm ET

I can't imagine that most of the free world woudl be intersted to know what Joy Behar or Bill Maher think or have to say. Please, there are many interesting guest that you could have on your show so why have these people on?? Oh and by the way: Bill Clinton's comment on shooting straight with the American that was a classic and I personally will never forget it. My husband and I had a tremendous laugh with that one. In these difficult times we can all use some laughter and humor.

bofuj   February 19th, 2009 1:07 pm ET

I like you very much, but I think you made a mistake in letting Coutler spew her venom, hatred, and mischaraterizations on your show. From her perspective, It just validates her (sic) values, and encourages others to hop on her (sic) bandwagon.

Would you give Hitler, Pol Pot, Aryian Nation, KKK, Hamas and others who espouse hatred, anger, prejudice and discrimination a national public platform?

I don't think so. What if Coulter tells you the Holocaust is a fraud?

Point is – where do you draw the line? By having Coulter as a guest, you are on a slippery slope when it comes to interviewing villanous evil people.

Redvines   February 19th, 2009 1:23 pm ET

Please do not have Ann Coulter as a guest. She spews hate. Mr. King, you are better than this. I will forego this episode.

live in alberta   February 19th, 2009 1:48 pm ET

Larry – Isn't it wonderful how, when your country is in trouble, noone steps up with a plan for recovery, but when your president tries to bring forth a recovery program, everyone has a better idea? Where were all these people before the recovery program? Thank your lucky stars that you elected a person who has some brains and the backbone to use them! I hope he succeeds, but if he doesn't, I'm sure there will be lots of people who will be quite willing to say "I told you so".

Bill N   February 19th, 2009 1:49 pm ET

I will go for a walk instead of watching LKL tonight. Walking is healthy, tonights LKL, not so. Sponsors please take note.

Dana   February 19th, 2009 1:50 pm ET

I watch your show every night , but when ann coulter is on I can not sit and watch the ignorance of this loud mouth so far on the right side she has fallen off . love ya larry but gotta turn the channel

ROBIN A   February 19th, 2009 2:36 pm ET

I don't see where Obama's new plan to help homeowners refinance is doing anything that I or other homeowners can't already do for ourselves. I'm already processing my orig. mort. to get a lower interest rate & the plan won't help me anyway because my loan isn't backed by Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac. I see this as one-sided. It really isn't helping those that need it most. So, here they go again. Patting themselves on the back. For what?

D.A. Reuter, Bremerton, WA   February 19th, 2009 2:37 pm ET

Why are you giving Ann Coulter this time to spread her fascist views (yes, she is a fascist). She is part of the plan to replace our democratic form of government with an oligarchy. Mr. King, I think that you need to take a refresher course in civics and you need to remember that we fought a world war against people like her.

Just close your eyes when you listen to her and you are transported to Adolf Hitler's Nueremburg rallies.

On my enlistment into the USAF and my first day of work with Civil Service, I took this oath:

"I, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.”

Ann Coulter is an enemy to this nation and I am doing my duty speaking out against her.

CANDY   February 19th, 2009 2:38 pm ET

ATL   February 19th, 2009 2:44 pm ET

I agree with Frank and Bill. LKL, you should not give Ann Coulter any more free air time. She promotes hate. I definitely will not be watching.

Bob   February 19th, 2009 2:48 pm ET

I am very disappointed that you would consider having her on your show. She complains or tries to bully her way onto any show that does not want her as a guest. I cannot stand this person. She and Rush Limbaugh are only spewing unctuous bile and vile ad hominem attacks. I have never heard her really have anything positive to say or contribute about anyone and anything and I am really sorry that you would even consider having her on your show. She has plenty of other places to be seen and heard i.e. on Fox.

Bozly   February 19th, 2009 2:53 pm ET

WHY do you folks in the media still give Coulter airtime to spew her ditherings and blather ? Let her just fall to the wayside for the saniety sake of the truer majority !! Know that "conflict" is suppopsedly deemed good for "ratings", but guess many producers fail to note how many utilyzing the remote as someone like Coulter is so repugnently repetive in her rants that she is just found way too boring to put up with !!!

pepper   February 19th, 2009 3:03 pm ET

CNN, why would you provide this woman who clearly has divisive hate rhetoric a forum to sell her wares?
You're beginning to look and sound much like FOX NEWS!

Wanda   February 19th, 2009 3:04 pm ET

Larry, if you're trying to woo Faux News viewers you're as mistaken as Mr. Steele who thinks some "rap" will woo black people to the Republican party. All you're doing is turning off your faithful viewers.

I like Joy, so maybe I'll flip over to CNN with my mute button on to see if the Coultergeist has disappeared yet.

I love Bill Maher and always watch when he appears. I missed the show with President Clinton so I hope you are going to air it again this weekend.

Thanks for all your other shows, but I won't watch or support Ms. Coulter on any format, even for you.

Gardner   February 19th, 2009 3:04 pm ET

Will the government bail out the oil companies if their fortunes turn south? Has anybody checked the price of crude oil lately?

Ben   February 19th, 2009 3:14 pm ET

Mr King,

I won't be watching your program tonight. Once less person watching your show tonight. I can't stand her.

Laurie   February 19th, 2009 3:31 pm ET

You have such an excellent show, I look forward to watching you during the evening. However, I think I will pass tonight...when Ann Colter is on there is to much of her nasty, tasteless verbage flying about. I have never heard her say a decent thing about anything or anyone that is not in tune with her line of thinking. It is a free country and she can say watch she wants, so I will do what I have told my kids to do,,,,,turn of the switch. Catch you Friday nite.

Again, thank you your wonderful show and your caring about your fellow man.

I will not be watching your show tonight because Ann Coulter is a waste of air time. She is the walking embodiment of "Ignorance". While I appreciate divergence and intelligent discourse, Coulter does not express anything but hatred and distortion.

Why are you giving her a platform? C'mon Larry, do us all a favor and bring the show up to standard and dump Coulter. I'll be going through my garbage can while your show airs today, in hopes of gaining more awareness from the bugs crawling there – they're a better, more enlightened choice of company than spending an hour with Coulter.

Monique   February 19th, 2009 4:11 pm ET

I will make sure I do not watch tonight. I'm so tired of this crazy-looking lady spewing her hate.

Keith Ballew   February 19th, 2009 4:17 pm ET

How can you say truthfully that George "W." Bush will be one of our greatest Presidents? I sure that was some dry humor on your part. If not you are loony toons like Rush Lamebrainer.

Gene from Tulsa,ok   February 19th, 2009 4:20 pm ET

You know I really shouldn't even comment on this event cause I don't care for Ms. Coulter and her ultra neo-con ways. I only saw this online when I was surfing the cafferty files and saw she was gonna be on Larry King. I think George W. Bush was one of the worst in history via the condition of the nation. If a CEO left a corporation in this bad of shape you would call him a terrible CEO, If a homeowner left his/her house in this bad of shape you would say they were a terrible homeowner. Well the same principal applies to the president, and yes if Obama is here for 8 years and we are still in terrible shape then after 8 years that would make obama a bad president. On a different note I think it is sad that most republicans love a strong conservative and they think Ms. Coulter is insane. But I don't blame them, to me Ann Coulter is to the republican party what the KKK is to christians, an extremist making a mockery of a cause.

Darion's   February 19th, 2009 4:30 pm ET

Here's a question, what will those that oppose the Stimulus Bill and basically any progressive Democratic ideas do when crime runs rampant when the poor that were middle class start committing crimes to make ends meet? If people cant work they will support their families one way or another, what does the almighty republican party have to prevent that? Remember it was the democrats that helped gain a foot hold on the war on drugs and the mafia. What was the last important thing the republicans did for America? Oh yeah, let the Oil Guys get rich

Karen   February 19th, 2009 4:33 pm ET

Most people say they will not be watching your show tonight because of their dislike of Ann Coulter. I would consider watching if you could promise that you could stand up to her and not allow her to trample you the way she does every show host or guest she encounters. I don't understand why the media continues to give her a forum to spew her hateful remarks and promote her books. I guess that would be my question "Why are you having her on your program?"

Darion's   February 19th, 2009 4:37 pm ET

What besides the coat tail riding of all republicans does Ann know about politics of today? Does she know how much of an idiot she is and how she is turning all future republicans away from the party. I am a conservative democrat and there are somethings I dont like about the party, but the one thing that this party does do, is admit when its wrong. The last 8 years were wrong and so are you Ann!

Gardner   February 19th, 2009 4:48 pm ET

Larry, It seems as though the majority of your viewers can"t stand Ann Coulter. I feel the same way about Bill Maher!

hugh ~ california   February 19th, 2009 4:54 pm ET

Having this racist on your show is an insult to all sensible Americans. Ann Coulter is a right-wing racist who should be censored, not tolerated and put on the TV screen for people to watch. Most of her comments about liberals are unfounded political tripe! I for one will not be listening to her extremist views. Ann Coulter sucks!

Ethel   February 19th, 2009 5:03 pm ET

While I disagree, with some of what Ann Coulter has to say, she still has the right to say it. And if all these people who are spewing venom her way, I rather think that they aren't any better to listen to, than she is. At least she has the balls to be on national television and not kiss anyone's rear end, just because they happen to be in "high places."

Thank you, Larry, for having her on the show.

Rose   February 19th, 2009 5:14 pm ET

Ann Coulter may have the right to say whatever, but why should CNN give this facist a platform? I would listen to intelligent discussion, even if it opposes my views, rather than listen to Coulter's idiotic spewing.

She only has the "balls" to take up any free airtime she can get to promote herself and her books. Larry, too bad on your choice of guest.

Ethel   February 19th, 2009 5:32 pm ET

What are you really afraid of, with "Coulter's idiotic spewing?" And who doesn't take up any free airtime that they can get?

Question for Ann Coulter: Are you a member of the fascist party? Or are you an advocate of fascism? Fascism by dictionary definition being: "A one party system of government in which the individual is subordinated to the state and control is maintained by military force, secret police, rigid censorship, and governmental regimentation of industry and finance.

Is that our future?

Gordon Bane   February 19th, 2009 5:33 pm ET

I like Ann Coulter.

hugh ~ california   February 19th, 2009 5:41 pm ET

@Rose–Diddo! I agree.
@Ethel when you write about "all these people who are spewing venom her way, it is Ann Coulter who spews venom every time she speaks. She doesn't have any "balls," she only has a the GALL to promote her backwards racist ideology to other people who DO NOT CARE to listen to her garbage!

hugh ~ california   February 19th, 2009 5:51 pm ET

I've got a question for Ann Coulter. Ann why do you hate liberals so much, and why are you such a staunch conservative? If so, then what is your definition of freedom?

Ethel   February 19th, 2009 5:51 pm ET

Hugh, as of right now, we still have our rights, under the constitution, of our country. The precious right to have our ideology and to express it. We also have the right to change channels on our TV sets or turn them off, altogether. Rather than trying squash those rights, labeling their proponents, because we do not agree with them, makes one as bigoted, as a racist. Now, if one really want fascism, then by all means, work toward censorship.

Paul Coval   February 19th, 2009 6:00 pm ET

With the series of serious problems facing this country, I'm saddened to see you go for the sensational with Ms. Coulter. What are her credentials to speak on any pertinent issues? Is she an economist? Financial specialist? Scholar in international matters? Of course not; she spews hate, and fosters unhinged and irrational criticism in order to promote herself. You do a disservice to your viewers and the country by providing her a forum. CNN isn't Fox News and should not get into the same toilet with them.

janette tx   February 19th, 2009 6:09 pm ET

Larry,I think I get why you keep having this crazed wild eyed
retched flat chested hatebag on your like her cause
she's boney like you.

John Hanley   February 19th, 2009 6:25 pm ET

Larry, I don't care for Ann Coulter's point of view either but you are doing your job by exposing people of opposing viewpoints. We can all then, make an educated decision of what we do and don't agree with. I like to watch people with whom I don't agree although sometimes they make me angry enough to want to do physical harm to my TV set. I have watched all three of the Cable TV News Networks and found that there is a degree of partisanship on each. I don't lisetn to Sean Hannity or Bill Reilley anymore because they have such biased viewpoints. I don't watch MSNBC at all because of Keith Olberman. I do watch CNN because while I do often note you all leaning one way or another, I find you are the most balanced news source. I will watch tonight even though I expect to hear some things that upset me. I have become accustomed to that by now whenever I tune in for news.

Ron San Bruno , Ca   February 19th, 2009 6:55 pm ET

Ann , Having so many turn against you , after your 9/11 wives rant , do you have any sympathy for how Nadya Suleman , is being demonized by the public , or by the loss of one of thoese wives you so detested .

Fran   February 19th, 2009 7:27 pm ET

Larry, WOW, I watch your show whenever there is an issue or guest that I deem interesting. However, I have never heard Ann Coulter. I think the reason I haven't heard her is because I have been turned off by all the Democrat's that have been complaining and bringing up so much bashing that it gets tiresome. However, I will be watching your show this evening just to see how much more bashing she does than what I have already heard from others. Sounds interesting, I'll be there, and thanks for giving us an opportunity to hear both sides.

Eleanor   February 19th, 2009 7:27 pm ET

Congratulations on your books sales, proving some of America loves to hate. My husband fought in Vietnam to give you the right to be every bit as unpatriotic as Rush Limbaugh. My patriotic husband and I, democrats,
are not subscribers of your idealogy hate. I hear they still need volunteers in Iraq, why are you not there?
Your projection of treason and hate of America is quite evident.

Richard Wood   February 19th, 2009 7:55 pm ET

I cannot understand why in the world you would have Ann Coulter on your show. She is the worst kind of pseudo-intellectual & screed writer who has contributed to thehateful political dialogue that has been going on. She makes outrageous & venon filled charges with no basis in fact.
We watch your show two or three times a week. Tonight we are taking a break from your show & because of your bad judgement on putting this woman on will be taking a break from you for a considerable period.
Ed Rollins I can take but Ann Coulter!

I feel that the critics of New York Post's "stimulous / shot monkey cartoon" are creating an enormous amount of racism and hate. These criticsms have turned a typically racy political cartoon into outright racism. I think it is disgusting and offensive that these critics have made this insulting comparison to the President.

Ms. Coulter, would you agree that this use of the "race card" is only self destructive?

Vancouver BC Canada

Ron   February 19th, 2009 8:04 pm ET

I seldom miss your show, Larry, bur you can be sure I won't be wasting my time listening to Ann Coulter spout off. I'm a conservative and she is what gives conservatism a bad name. I have more important things to do like, uh, well .... I'll think of something!

Stephen Charchuk   February 19th, 2009 8:28 pm ET

As to Ann Coulter, how can someone so pretty on the outside be so ugly on the inside, and why does she hate America so much that she wants it to fail? She may deny this, but of course she'd be lying.

larry rowland   February 19th, 2009 8:30 pm ET

i can't imagine why annC. would be invited to larry kings program, she a disgrace to the human race! larry, michigan

Dan   February 19th, 2009 8:50 pm ET

Ann, in all fairness, has a close correlation to her idle, former President George W. Bush. They're both divisive except she's never claimed to be a uniter. I hope she's happy with her leader's lack of regulation and supervision resulting in the worst economic situation since The Great Depression. I'm sure she'll try to put 'all' the blame on the mere 2 years the Democrats controlled Congress versus the 6 years the Republicans controlled everything with her man at the helm. Is she proud of the non-transparent Bush administration and its unnecessary war (no terrorists in 911 came from Iraq and no weapons of mass destruction have ever been found), no bid contracts, torturing of prisoners and an economy in shambles – to name just a few? For the record, Ann, Dallas where Bush will retire, Dallas County and every major metropolitan area in Texas voted by sizeable margins for Obama. The only reason the state remained red is the rural vote. The message is couldn't be clearer!

Dace Tucson AZ   February 19th, 2009 9:06 pm ET

Why are we seeing this toxic hate filed lying sow all over this site – did we slide into some sort of hell in fox/rush TV/radio land of the anorexic KKK grand wizard spewing lies? And looking at anything this creature is more vile than digging through a toilet full of roting human waste with bare hands – yuck she leaves me feeling dirty to the bone marrow!!! Please flush the toilet on this smelly sow Larry.

Richard   February 19th, 2009 9:10 pm ET

Richard Nixon, Millard Fillmore, Grover Cleveland (twice), Andrew Johnson, John Tyler, Warren Harding, Herbert Hoover, John Garfield...this is is eight presidents of not very impressive I rise above Ms. Coulter's curve?

jt   February 19th, 2009 9:15 pm ET

why in the world do you have ann coulter on your show she is a sick loud mouth fool

Mark   February 19th, 2009 9:22 pm ET

I love it! Give her Hell Joy.. Her books sell for the same reason the inquirer sells, people love trash.. They love a train wreck..

Sad really so many other things of importance to stay centered on. Other then trash talk, that only takes us down as a nation. Instead of building us up..

Dawn   February 19th, 2009 9:24 pm ET

I find it very offensive that Joy continually interrupts Ann and is so argumentative that I will no longer watch my favorite CNN program, Larry King Live, when Joy is hosting. I may not agree with everything Ann says but she deserves to at least finish her sentence since she is the guest! Joy can cut her to pieces on her own show which I refuse to watch because of the one sided views the View spews.

jessiejay   February 19th, 2009 9:28 pm ET

My God!!! What is that woman's problem? Aren't enough idiots buying her books...does she have to inflict herself on the rest of us?
She constantly jumps from one position to the next just to hear herself talk. Please, give us a break from her egotism.

Ebele   February 19th, 2009 9:28 pm ET

Hi Larry,

Ann Coulter is a moroon she should go get a life and stop being unreasonable. i dont know why they keep bringing her on tv we have a lot of people who can speak to us about resolving the economic crisis not this pathetic thing....

Eneida Rivera   February 19th, 2009 9:28 pm ET

Ann, keep on going. Your continuous comments make us aware of what's really going on.
People love your sincerity and so do I.

Jay   February 19th, 2009 9:29 pm ET

I'll tell you why they keep having her on there. Just check the ratings tomorrow for the show and your questions will be answered. Way to go, Ann. You handled Joy, beautifully and with great articulation!

Debra Sandifer   February 19th, 2009 9:29 pm ET

Ann Coulter has made some good points. But why is Joy Behar so angry? As a host, she needs to calm down.

amy d   February 19th, 2009 9:29 pm ET

I like her... she can go toe to toe with anyone... her opinions may not be popular but she isn't afraid to speak her mind. this pc world we live in can be so lame-

Mike H.   February 19th, 2009 9:29 pm ET

Ann Coulter is the only one using her brain on this show.

tatiana   February 19th, 2009 9:30 pm ET

I completely diagree with what she says about single mothers. Why should a single mother give away her baby just because she is single?!!? I was raised by a single mother and turned up just fine.

And she is also being completely bias towards all of those single mothers!

kay   February 19th, 2009 9:30 pm ET

Ann Coulter? Nothing new there..... predictable..... yawn..... a waste of air space..... changing channel.....

Jeff   February 19th, 2009 9:30 pm ET

I like Ann Coulter. She may upset many people, but she really stands by her opinions, and I admire that, because I think that most of the time she is correct. She is a person that I would really like to meet in my life time. Thank you for having her on.

clara   February 19th, 2009 9:30 pm ET

Is Ann Coulter married? What rock did she crawl from underneath.

harold   February 19th, 2009 9:30 pm ET

Ann is intelligent and smoking hot

Tracey DeWindt   February 19th, 2009 9:30 pm ET

Dearest JOY I love you! I am a huge fan of yours! Thank you for making me laugh and for your wonderful insight on the view. Thank you for bringing a laugh to my day!

Jeremy   February 19th, 2009 9:31 pm ET

Ann Coulter is full of it.....and should not be allowed to be on national television!!

Adrian Lara   February 19th, 2009 9:31 pm ET

If JOY would in fact let Ann express her full answer we probably love Ann EVEN MORE, ANN just kick your ass JOY.

Deborah   February 19th, 2009 9:31 pm ET

I think Ann is sitting there sounding like a hopeless case. She must have been neglected as a child and has nothingelse to do but blame everyone but her parents, if she knew them.

James   February 19th, 2009 9:31 pm ET

Thank you for having Joy Behar on again! I love her comedic take on life! Its great that she is interviewing Ann Coulter..... I want to see more Joy.... Love her!! I always watch when she is on..

Saju   February 19th, 2009 9:31 pm ET

Ann, i listen to rush and i hate him. He is not only rude/abusive. He is a lair too. One of his shows he said Ozon O3 is not a gas!. Another time, he was making fun of obama for pronouncing Pakistan diffrently, which by the way is the correct way to pronounce it!. He is pissed that Obama not speaking Pakistan in American accent? Pakistan is not a American name its Asian!

larry bell   February 19th, 2009 9:31 pm ET

How refreshing to hear an intelligent articulate young woman answer all questions thrown at her with facts not emotion. I was pleasantly surprised that LKL had her on. You had the perfect one to interview her also. We need more of this kind of dialog. It helps the country and by the way it helps your "viewership".

sekou camara   February 19th, 2009 9:31 pm ET

ann coulter ann couletr... are you serious when blaming single mothers???
what do you mean by single mothers should give their kids to adoption are you serious ann... i thought you had some family values but you really dont.

Danielle   February 19th, 2009 9:32 pm ET

Dear Larry,

My husband and watch your show almost every night and find it informative and very interesting. This evening however was a major letdown. This is the second time that I see Ann Coulter and it is the second time that I turn her off. she is crass and disrespectful. could we not talk about real issues with intellegent people?

Jeff S.   February 19th, 2009 9:32 pm ET

I love Anne Coulter! She says everything that America is afraid to say out loud. Each day, our country gets more and more sensitive. It's too the point that we can't say anything without somebody being offended. Our great country is crumbling before our eyes.

Brigid Sullivan   February 19th, 2009 9:32 pm ET

Joy can be "over the top" but Ann is so full of is hard to watch her.

jeff kuhn   February 19th, 2009 9:32 pm ET

Ann's wonderful. I'd marry her in a heartbeat is she was available.

brandon   February 19th, 2009 9:32 pm ET

LOL. Ann Coulter is a ringing endorsement of why the Republican party is under attack in America. Her condescending and elitist commentary show just how out of touch some folks on the right really are. I can only ge grateful that I do not have to listen to her on a consistent basis.

Bryan   February 19th, 2009 9:33 pm ET

Ann is great. I love her commentary, and she's at least 80 IQ points above Behar!! I'm only watching the show to see Ann slaughter Joy. I'd never watch if Joy had any other guest. You won't find anyone who can legitimately counter any of Ann's points. By the way, its obvious you liberals, who govern CNN, intentionally put an unflattering picture of Ann on your Blog page. This shows that you have no class.

Sharon Brusse   February 19th, 2009 9:33 pm ET

Even though I don't agree with Ann on anything, I feel that she has a right to her opinion.

I felt that Joy was very rude when she asked Ann about her sex life.

Please keep it professional.

Mary   February 19th, 2009 9:33 pm ET

Usually wouldn't be caught watching cnn, but passing by and saw Ann Coulter on LKL. Love her. Thanks Ann for standing up against that know-nothing joy.

janet curtis   February 19th, 2009 9:33 pm ET

way to go Ann....your great tonight...They can't handle the truth....

Alex McNew   February 19th, 2009 9:33 pm ET

Yeah for Ann Coulter! Joy pales in knowledge to Ann. Have her on more often! Actually, Joy isn't a very good substitute host.

Tammy   February 19th, 2009 9:33 pm ET

I LOVED your show tonight! Ann Coulter is brilliant! Thank you for bringing her on, I thouroughly enjoyed watching Joy try to appear 1/100th as intelligent as her guest! Keep up the good work Larry!

Rodney   February 19th, 2009 9:34 pm ET

Ann so intelligent, I beg CNN to have her as a Interviewer in Larry Kings absence. Also, Ann Coulter, I am single and would love to date a facinating and intelligent woman like yourself, whenever you want a date with a goodlooking conservitive 53 year old from Pennington, NJ

Keep up the great work, WE LOVE YOU ANN.

curtis   February 19th, 2009 9:34 pm ET

Ann Coulter is just plain hot, nothing else to say.

Rob   February 19th, 2009 9:34 pm ET

As a liberal, I find Coulter amusing, bright, and extremely entertaining. She makes great points. The lady from the view needs to learn how to interview professionally and not attack a guest speaker like that.

Z   February 19th, 2009 9:34 pm ET

This Ann person was funny, funny, funny. Someone should stick her in the real world. She sounds like she has been living on Gilligans Island.

Lanie   February 19th, 2009 9:34 pm ET

Someone needs to out speak Joy. She is much worst tham Ann. I think Ann got the best of her tonight. I agree a lot with Ann.

Roe Tesla   February 19th, 2009 9:34 pm ET

Octo-mom is a good reason why some people need to be sterilized.

J.J.   February 19th, 2009 9:35 pm ET

Ann Coulter, I absolutely love you and your books. I cannot imagine the obstacles you must encounter in this leftist, liberal cesspool American media has become. Thank you for your tireless work and for inspiring those of us who remember what America used to be. God Bless the USA, truly.

sarah   February 19th, 2009 9:35 pm ET

I LOVE ANN COULTER! All the liberals out there can continue hating all they want, its refreshing to hear someone say what needs to be said. Everyone loves Obama and the Dems now but give it a few years and time will show you that it was a big mistake to put him in office. You know what I love, CNN does a poll that shows that 30 % of people agree with the stimulus yet 80% think Obama is doing a good job. Just goes to show you how stupid some Americans can be, HOW CAN YOU THINK HE IS DOING A GREAT JOB YET DISAGREE WITH THE STIMULUS?? What is sad is Obama can do no wrong, no matter what he will go down in the books as a great president because of his race.

Robert Byrd   February 19th, 2009 9:35 pm ET

Ann Coulter lives on contreversy, I am sure she picks out things that she thinks will s"stir the pot" I give her credit for being smarter than she sounds, no one could possibly be that inane and vituperative without practice.

Charles G   February 19th, 2009 9:36 pm ET

Is this lady usually this HIGH when is she coming/going with all of this?

Mike H.   February 19th, 2009 9:37 pm ET

of course my comment is awaiting moderation. Don't let someone say something intelligent. CNN probably supports the "Unfairness Doctrine"...pathetic

jessiejay   February 19th, 2009 9:37 pm ET

If Joy let her finish her sentences, which in themselves are as lengthy as novels no one else would get a word in. Ann Coulter is an "egotistical bully" and she deserves to be treated as one. She does NOT have one original thought.

Patricia Hall   February 19th, 2009 9:37 pm ET

The Ann Coulter's/Rush Limbaugh' s of the world do nothing to serve humanity. They serve themselves and the herd mentality gets swept up. They have no interest in getting to solutions and are only interested in lining their pockets. Sadly they would be nothing without the ill informed audience that supports the sad thing is the ill informed audience.

John   February 19th, 2009 9:37 pm ET

I'm a social democrat and my views are the extreme opposite of Ann Coulter, but... for some odd reason I find her very attractive, and I would like to ask her out for a drink an a political debate sometime if she is available...?

ktn   February 19th, 2009 9:37 pm ET

Joy is a saint to talk with this woman. Ann is offensive. Tthe fact that she makes a dime with her books and interviews is mind boggling. Larry, please don't have her back. She interupts others as well as herself and is impossible to follow. She is always on the offense and her reasoning is anything but sound. Get the hook and pull her off before Joy is forced to stick a fork into her own eye to stop the pain and suffering.

P. Hawkins   February 19th, 2009 9:38 pm ET

I am outraged that you the media allowed Ann Coultre on the show... she is not in touch ..... and a very angry person.....and she speaks so fast you can't get a word in......

Deborah bunn   February 19th, 2009 9:38 pm ET

I think Ann is great. I love her! She calls it like it is , and is not afraid to do so. She is a voice for me, and I appreciate her courage.
Keep it up Ann. I am to chicken to say the things you do,oh how I wish I were as intelligent and courageous as you! Thank you!

Ann Coulter is fantastic. Because she's so knowledgeable, outspoken, & obviously is a dedicated Republican, why does she not run for public office – perhaps as a Governor?
Shame shame on Joy to be so foul mouthed on such a respectful show as Larry King! For her to be so disrespectful to Ann & ask if "so & so" wanted to screw Sarah Palin & if Conservative women used better vibrators!!! The Larry King Show is heard around the world, thus has disgraced itself around the whole planet!
Joy puffs her ego by belittling & making fun of any & all who don't agree with her distorted way of thinking.

Rex Garcia   February 19th, 2009 9:40 pm ET

Why do you give Ann Coulter Air time? She is viscous, hates most everything and as one of your other posters say's she is venimous. She disrespects most anyone who interviews her or disagrees with her. She is always trying to tout her serial books, and you give a dark princess like this a medium to do so. I don't get it except the fact that she increases your ratings. Why not have her on with someone like Thom Hartman who can debate her? That is not to say that Joy Behart a formidable and well informed anchor did not hold her own. I just think a man like Ann should debate another man like Hartman or Ed Schultz.

Robyn   February 19th, 2009 9:40 pm ET

Before I change the channel. I love listening to Joy but I think Ann is the "She Devil". She needs to shut her flap. Does she ever come up for air?

Valeria Bobroff   February 19th, 2009 9:40 pm ET

Ann Coulter needs to get married, have kids and be a little bit more humble about people in general and others around her, specially liberals.

She is very bitter about life in general. Speaking fast and responding to questions in a fast and direct matter is no means to be an intelectual.

Maybe being successful with her books could make her help others in need, or Nadya Suleman.

Many thanks!

Julie   February 19th, 2009 9:40 pm ET

What a great interview, fast paced, very entertaining. I am really bummed that so many people are afraid or just don't want to hear anything that they may not agree with. In this whirlwind of an interview, they touched on so many things I couldn't help but be drawn in. Thanks Larry for that spirited exchange!

Jacqueline   February 19th, 2009 9:41 pm ET

Larry, I really was hoping to see you tonight. Instead there was Joy. I enjoyed Ann Coulter. I really wished you would have interviewed her.

Jerry   February 19th, 2009 9:41 pm ET

Joy Baaaaaahar trying to interview Ann Coulter was damn near the funniest thing I have seen in weeks. You could go out on the street and randomly pick a person that would run circles around old Baaaaahar. It is no wonder that CNN is pulling up the rear when you have to rely on this ditz for your "prime" show. Ann ran circles around old Joy. It was almost sad to see, if it wasn't so funny. Ann can and does speak to the issues, not just throw out the liberal rant as old Joy does. I very seldom watch CNN, but every now and then I need to turn over to it so I can remember why.

jessiejay   February 19th, 2009 9:41 pm ET

I dislike terms like "Octomum", "Totmum" etc., they are PEOPLE with names.

Bryan   February 19th, 2009 9:41 pm ET

Its apparent that any comments that tell the truth about CNN's bias, is "awiting moderation". Why is it that Joy isn't combative with the other guests (other than Ann)? She treated Ann horribly. She wouldn't let Ann complete a statement without interupting her. When she did let Ann talk for more than 10 seconds, she attacked Ann with sarcasm, saying "this is only an hour show". Ann is rude and I won't be watching her, ever!

Live from DC   February 19th, 2009 9:41 pm ET

Oh my goodness! Ann is such a nut case! Joy, thank you for taking her on and allowing Ann to show how incredibly senseless she really is. I have never really paid attention to Ann in the past. I will ensure I continue to not pay attention in the future. What a waste of paper (trees) for all the books that she has sold!

james   February 19th, 2009 9:41 pm ET

ann coulter is very sick, this is why other counties look at us the way they do.

Sam   February 19th, 2009 9:42 pm ET

Ann Coulter really bested the hateful and disfuncitional Joy Behar.
I don't usually watch Larry King, but I called all my friends to watch Ann
clean the floor with Joy B.

Laila77   February 19th, 2009 9:42 pm ET

Anne is a admirable and educated American woman, who happens to represents a majority of women who cannot speak within the media .

Mary Salazar   February 19th, 2009 9:42 pm ET

tonight's segment with Ann Coulter just provided a venue for Joy Behar to continue the bashing that she and her cohosts enjoyed carrying out on the "View"
i'm not a fan of Ann Coulter, but the petty and pathetic manner in which Joy Behar conducted this evening's "interview" with Coulter was disgusting and "Hitler-esque" in nature
Larry – please don't let Joy Behar sit in for you ever again! Please!

Rashid   February 19th, 2009 9:42 pm ET

Liberals don't tell you the truth but Ann Coulter will tell you as it....I agree with her about the single mothers topic.. keep up the great work Ann..

Frances B   February 19th, 2009 9:42 pm ET

Larry, I watch you often- I cannot stomach watching your show if Ann Coulter is on there- come on buddy, you can do better, don't let your ratings slip.

Rhonda   February 19th, 2009 9:43 pm ET

When Ms. Coulter commented that the clip of Barbara Walters reading her book was not shown, Ms. Baur said "oh, they've all seen it already". Really? I work during the day, I do not tape "The View" and playing that part of the show would have helped me decide for myself about the exchange rather than have to settle for Ms. Baur's view of what happened.

I've never seen an interviewer be so hateful. Bring back Larry – at least he's professional.

gail   February 19th, 2009 9:43 pm ET

Lanie   February 19th, 2009 9:44 pm ET

Ann tells it like it is. Joy just attacks people.

Lisa   February 19th, 2009 9:45 pm ET

Shame on Joy for acting the way she did during the interview. When I think of the Larry King show I think of quality and class. Joy's treatment of Coulter was not surprising. She clearly does not like Coulter but Coulter got the best of her. Joy was so mad, it was almost funny. She couldn't keep up with Coulter.

jessiejay   February 19th, 2009 9:45 pm ET

The truth is, if the woman had 14 kids and had the money to support them no one would give a darn if she was married or not. Nor would they care if she had surgery to look like Brad Pitt instead of Angelina.

sheila crone   February 19th, 2009 9:45 pm ET

Larry, thank you for having Ann C. I don't always agree with her, but at least she's one that the liberals haven't hung. Joy Behar is just as "crazy" as Ann. She performed as expected-big mouth, loose tongue. I much prefer your smooth style. Had you been there, I doubt all the hate emails would have been delivered with such animosity.

Mitzi   February 19th, 2009 9:46 pm ET

It is sad that when someone with an opposing viewpoint, no matter how strong, expresses their views, they are called names. How do we educate our up and coming citizens and voters if we don't allow them to hear all sides of the issues? The presentation of the views may be distasteful to some, but necessary if we are to remain a free society.

Roe Tesla   February 19th, 2009 9:47 pm ET

Shirlee-weston   February 19th, 2009 9:47 pm ET

OMG was watching Ann Coulter on LKL, next time Larry King goes on vacation and they book Ann Coulter I'm vacationing also. You have got to be kidding me. Someone please stick something in her mouth. (foot-shoe etc.)

Kathy Santa Cruz, CA   February 19th, 2009 9:47 pm ET

Ann Coulter is a hero for hard working American women. My husband and I have worked hard for over 30 years, raise 2 children and always lived within our means. If we made $7 an hour or $48 we always had savings. We never expected a hand out. Today, in this poor economy there are so many people looking for a hand out. President Obama's policies are encouraging the free hand out.

I am not rich, I am not religious, I am a republican and proud of it!

I love Ann Coulter. I dislike (hate is too ugly) Joy Behar.

Amber   February 19th, 2009 9:49 pm ET

I NEVER watch Larry King and can't stand Joy Behar – talk about being a loud mouthed, venomous harpie! Tonight is the exception. I watched Ann Coulter and thought she was great! You go, girl......keep telling it like it really is.

Metalhead   February 19th, 2009 9:49 pm ET

Joy Behar is the most ill informed host on any tv show, anywhere. She was not interested in interviewing Anne, she would not let her complete a sentence. Joy really has little knowledge of the topics she questions Ann about.

sarah   February 19th, 2009 9:50 pm ET

Joy couldnt back up one point, she was just spiteful throughout the whole interview all the while Ann stated her case and playfully ripped her prey apart. I LOVE IT!

Lanie   February 19th, 2009 9:51 pm ET

The woman with 14 children, its obvious she was after more checks from the government. This was a planned rip off on the people in this country.

millennium   February 19th, 2009 9:51 pm ET

I recommend that you learn to listen. Not only would it help CNN to swing back to the (bit more) neutral perspective it used to have, but you would personally gain a important asset: you knowledge. Even though your roots are not in political interviewing, you should know what every girl and boy in America knows: if you ask a question and answer it yourself by interrupting your guest, you'll just keep coming off as unintelligent as you were during this show.

Also, to CNN: I understand that you are all hyped up because of Obama. But when you try so hard in every way you can, to make a conservative thinker look bad (like misrepresenting the opinion of your viewers by soft-censoring and using host like this... this one tonight), you're being shamelessly biased... which doesn't help you stand out from other networks.

One thing to appreciate, though. By being so biased (and using a host that loves to hear herself talking), you made me curious and want to hear out the other side.. so just bought Ann's book. Thank you!

Kimothy Cruse   February 19th, 2009 9:51 pm ET

I have watched Ann Coulter talk on the show tonight, on The View and numerous other television appearances as well as read her books. As an INDEPENDENT (neither a member of the Republican or Democratic or ANY political party), moderate, thinking, mature American citizen I can come to only one conclusion. Ann Coulter is a FRAUD. Her obnoxious style of "discussing" her political beliefs and writings and her opinions and "research" based on her interpretation of statistics are very obviously orchestrated to be "in your face" rude and controversial enabling Ms.Coulter to MAKE LOTS OF MONEY. She wants and apparently needs to get the media attention she craves more than the 9/11 widows she condemns for "seeking attention" from the media. Ms.Coulter is quite apparently NOT a stupid person but seems rather intelligent. That being said, NO INTELLIGENT, EDUCATED person could possibly believe or accept most of the garbage she writes and espouses. Therefore, I honestly now understand that Ms. Coulter is a complete FRAUD and
POSEUR. She has found and created her "act" based on the ingenious P.T. Barnum theory of "a sucker born every minute" and all of them willingly buying tickets to the circus and sideshow. If people want to buy her "sideshow of freakish opinions and fake illusions masquerading as political beliefs and standards", she serves to prove old P.T. correct. I am proud I live in a country and free society that supports freedom of expression and gives anyone the chance to"make an honest living." Simply listen to Ms. Coulter for free on TV (DON'T BUY HER BOOKS!) and after five minutes you can enjoy the "act" for what it is...all hokum and smoke and mirrors to entertain and make her a profit. Her venom, hatred, cruelty, and rudeness are all part of the show...unfortunately. Thanks for listening.

Ed   February 19th, 2009 9:51 pm ET

Coulter? Won't be watching tonight Larry.

Leslie Webb   February 19th, 2009 9:53 pm ET

Relax Joy! Obama won! Can you stop being so hateful and combative?
I have many disagreements with Ann but you disappointed me with your unprofessionalism with this interview. It was so rude. Not an interview at all but an attack.

Lanie   February 19th, 2009 9:55 pm ET

Joy is a rude person. I love Ann.

Bryan   February 19th, 2009 9:55 pm ET

Dan apparently doesn't understand economics. The current economic crisis was created by the Democrats' policy, primarily in the form of the Community Reinvestment Act, which pressured banks to give mortgage loans to more and more people that couldn't afford it, in order to increase the minority numbers (of minority people owning houses). A contributing factor was the backing of these loans by Fanny Mae and Freddy Mac, government organizations, run by rich Democrats, which created a bubble in the housing market. Fanny and Freddy were also huge contributors to Dem campaigns. There are too many houses on the market and the economy is going to flounder until the glut of houses is off the market, which mean housing prices are going to, and have to, plummet.

gail   February 19th, 2009 9:56 pm ET

Lanie   February 19th, 2009 9:58 pm ET

Democrats ruin everything.

Bryan   February 19th, 2009 9:59 pm ET

Joy was rude. Ann was gracious

cyndilou   February 19th, 2009 10:00 pm ET

Larry why do you have Joy filling in for you??? Are you actually that desperate???? She is such a LOUD MOUTH, and her voice is enough to drive you crazy....
I thought Joy came across tonight like a dumb celebrity during her interview with Ann. I'm not a fan of Ann's, but I will say Ann came across as more intelligent than Joy...
Is Joy proud of all of the View hosts ganging up on Ann when she was on their show????? It took 4 women to get Ann told off????
because Joy sure wasn't able to hold her own tonight.
She doesn't know what's best for our country, as much as she acts like it on the View...

Bob   February 19th, 2009 10:02 pm ET

for people not liking hate spewed comments from ann and refusing to watch your show because of it larry, their sure is alot of hateful comments in this blog ..... i guess we can call this a nation of hipocrites and cowards.

Zanzy   February 19th, 2009 10:02 pm ET

I'm amazed how people can comment on topics that they themselves have not experienced. I'm disappointed and offended by Ann Coulter's comments on single parents. I was raised in a single parent home. My mother was born and raised in a drug infested and poverty stricken environment. I can not begin to explain the limited opportunities that one is given in a disadvantaged environment. Education from the public schools is subpar resulting in an inability to compete with students from a more advantaged environment. This causes you to work twice or three times as hard to reach the academic level of others more fortunate. Many women cannot control whether or not they are going to be a single parent. They make the best out of the situation they are given and my mother did as I was the first in my family to graduate from college. As far as Coulter's comment on the children of single unwed parents being most likely to be incarcerated, I strongly disagree with this comment. Crime is a result of poverty and lack of education. You cannot obtain a good job to support yourself if you don't have an adequate education. Obtaining an adequate education in a poor or low income community is an obstacle that many never overcome. It's a cycle that repeats itself generation after generation. I'm sure Ann Coulter didn't experience this in her upbringing. I'm sure she went to the best schools. I'm sure she never worried where her next meal was coming from. I'm sure she never worried about not being able to go to school because she couldn't afford it. Ann Coulter your reality is very different from the reality of others. You write about single unwed mothers but are you one? Was your mother one? Have you ever spent time with one? I would advise you to visit my community. Visit the drug infested and poverty stricken communities of the inner cities and speak to single mothers before you make another ignorant comment.

Shirlee-weston   February 19th, 2009 10:04 pm ET

Joy I love you...but you have just wasted around 25 minutes of both your life and mine we will NEVER get back.

Next time spend our time wisely. Life is to short to be wasting on a interview with Ann what’s her name.

Hedy Grimaldi   February 19th, 2009 10:05 pm ET

It seems to me that Coulter must have been abused as a child to be such a hateful human being (I use that term loosely). Let's not give her so much time on air.

Shirlee-weston   February 19th, 2009 10:09 pm ET

Palin/Coulter awesome only if it's the heading of a Horror Movie.

Marty   February 19th, 2009 10:10 pm ET

Coulter and Behar produced bad TV. The duo spent the entire show antagonizing each other. A complete waste of time.

Ann   February 19th, 2009 10:10 pm ET

Ann Coulter? Why was someone like her invited to be on LKL? Are guest invited or do they pay to be on LKL? Really, who cares what she thinks or what book she wrote?
I certainly know why she is single – who in their right mind would want to look at and talk to her everyday.
Joy did a great job considering who she had to interview!

mike, fl   February 19th, 2009 10:12 pm ET

Who was that? Why is she doing an interview? She is such a vile person. If I was Miss Coulter I wouldn’t give her autographed copy of my new book.

debbie smith   February 19th, 2009 10:13 pm ET

As a liberal I rarely agree with Ann Coulter, but I must admit that she makes sense when talking about the stimulus package. To me, and I'm certainly no economist, there's too much money being thrown at too many projects with too little accountability. What happened to the first part of the package ? where did the money disappear to when it was given to the banks. It certainly didn't help the average person on Main Street. I also strongly agree with her views on single motherhood. It seems we've turned into a society where anything goes. I've seen young women celebrate their teenage daughters' pregnancy on numerous occasions. I questioned them and they were unable to give any logical response. It's behavior that is modeled from one generation to another. Most are poorly educated and no good will come from any of this! Sincerely, Debbie

Freda Hall   February 19th, 2009 10:17 pm ET

To the person/persons who like Ann Coulter because she speaks her mind, I have to differ with you because in order to speak one you must have one.

Alex   February 19th, 2009 10:19 pm ET

Ann is one of those people who are living in total denial. Regardless of what she says, there are certain facts that she cannot change. One of that facts, she tried to deny tonight was that Bush and Republican created the current deficit. This fact will remain as a fact no matter what how loud she screams.

On the point of sex, I am a proud liberal; there is one thing I for sure will not do, that is, even if she is the last woman in the world I will not go to bed with her. She is the biggest turn off. There are other things I want to say but that will put me at the low level with her.

debbie smith   February 19th, 2009 10:26 pm ET

As a liberal I rarely agree with Ann Coultter, but I must admit that she makes sense when talking about the stimulus package.. It seems too much money is being thrown at too many projects with little accountability, as was seen with the money given to the banks. That did nothing for the average person on Main Street. I also agree with her viewpoints on single parenthood. NOTHING good comes form that. .

JStevenson   February 19th, 2009 10:26 pm ET

You go Joy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!l LOVED YA GIRL, DID YOURSELF PROUD TONIGHT. Ann just pissed cause Democrats got it going on. And the comments for her are people we don't need running this world. And the comment with the woman about she worked hard for her money, well hell, so HAS EVERY ONE ELSE, SHE NOT SPECIAL Go OBOMMA LOVE IT

Bryan   February 19th, 2009 10:33 pm ET

The only thing that Ann's detractors can do, is attack her personallly, or make wild, general, meaningless complaints. None of you countered her statistics or factual points (ie. single mothers aren't hereos, or victims. They produce victims, as proven by the fact that 80% of those incarcerated, come from single mother homes, and cause most of the crime in this country). That's just what the statistics prove. Try proving otherwise. You can't.

Zanzy – none of your questions matter. Ann's life experience, or yours, doesn't contracdict the statistics/facts. Ann never said there are no successful kids resulting from single mother homes. Pay attention!

Ann is awesome.

Patty   February 19th, 2009 10:35 pm ET

I adore the extraordinary Ann Coulter, wow!

I depend upon the Ann Coulter's, Sean Hannity's, and Rush Limbaugh's of our day to deliver some semblance of the truth in lieu of the lies and trash we're being bombarded with on a daily basis, by an increasingly irresponsible, unthinking, and socialistic-Media who seem to me to be little more than talking heads with gaping mouths, spewing forth their sugar-coated poop to perhaps an adoring audience of what surely must be bewildered, hopeful, and woefully uninformed unfortunates, who have pinned their hopes and dreams on a far-left agenda that will surely end up a nightmare for all of us in the years ahead.

The dumb-heads who so eagerly and mindlessly bought into the deceit and scams of the far-left will soon enough have themselves to blame once the realization hits that they've gotten what they voted for: the socialist republic of america...and perhaps a "free" meal; in other words, another Europe and a stale peanut butter sandwich!

To Ann, Sean, and Rush: Keep up the good work!
(The Democrats are really living up to their party symbol this time around and no, it's not a donkey!)

Bryan   February 19th, 2009 10:41 pm ET

Bush didn't create the deficit. The Democrats, who have been controlling the purse strings (as Congress does, ya know), caused it. Take a civics lesson. This so-called Stimulus bill will only create massive inflation, just like the Carter years. The Democrats had a chance to do something good, like, maybe, provide universal health care, but they've blown it by spending all the money in the world on pet left-wing radical projects (to the tune of $787 Billion, before interest). We're all going to watch our 401k drop another 25%, and the value of the dollar dropping will kill the remaining value of your account. Thanks a lot Obama.

sarah   February 19th, 2009 10:43 pm ET

Zanzy you only prove her point. First off, saying things like you "cant explain the limited opportunities that one is given in a disadvantaged environment" sounds like an excuse to me. I DID grow up very poor and I rose above that. I didnt let the fact that my background (a divorced drug using mother) stop me from achieving what I needed in order to survive and live the way I wanted to live. If you listened to the interview you would understand that ann didnt say women who BECOME SINGLE, women like that are called married or widowed, she was talking about single women who get pregnant and STAY single. THAT Zanzy, can be controlled or prevented. You can first and foremost take better steps to NOT get pregnant in the first place (one of Americas biggest problems in my eyes) being that you are single and not married, or you can always get married or put the child up for adoption.

Ann said children of single mothers are most likely to be incarcerated and you proved her point. You said crime is the result of a lack of education and poverty. Who is most likely to be uneducated and poverty stricken? THE CHILDREN THAT ARE PRODUCED FROM SINGLE MOTHERS. Besides her biggest issue with single mothers is the fact that they are put on a pedestal in societies eyes and I cant agree more with Ann. Its time we stop applauding these women (who arent all doing such a great job since 80% of incarcerated are the result of single mothers) and start enforcing Birth Control a little more. Maybe we should be pointing a finger at these women just like the "octomom" and asking why they are gettign pregnant when theyre are plenty of resources out there to prevent it, especially when you cant afford to take care of the kid in the first place.

Society is a bit sad these days, single YOUNG mothers everywhere, deadbeat fathers, a lack of education (DUE TO FAMILY NOT ENFORCING IT) people asking for handouts left and right....ugh what is this world coming to? And the government, rewarding those who screw up and fail miserably? Im moving to Europe as soon as possible.

Steve   February 19th, 2009 10:43 pm ET

Joy, thanks for having Ann on tonight. At least there was one intellectual on the show! It was obvious that you disagreed with everything she said. So what's wrong with disagreement? Isn't that one of the great things about Amereica...freedom to have your own opinion? Must you continually interrupt her answer? What are you afraid of?

It is very interesting to read the comments on this blog. Most hated the "venom spewed by Ann". But their comments were far worse than anything Ann ever said! But at least she has FACTS to back up what she says.

Thanks, Larry for having Ann on tonight. I think she's great!

debbie zwerling   February 19th, 2009 10:43 pm ET

Ann Coulture is always colorful and fun to watch even if I don't agree with her. Thanks for the entertainment.

John Hanley   February 19th, 2009 10:50 pm ET

Seems to be a bit of a balance of pro and con on the subject of Ann Coulter. I was surprised to see that Larry Copped Out on this one. The lady (Joy) they put on with her was clearly not pro. I would like to suggest that no matter what position you take on Ann Coulter and her points of view, it never does you any good to resort to name calling. Some of the milder comments I have seen include Nazi, Facist, Liar, Criminal, Democrat, and Republican. As for Nazi and Facist, I suspect that the vast majority of people using these words have never met a real one and have at best only a vague idea what the terms mean. Anyone who has lived through the 1930's and 1940's would be quick to point out that these terms should not be thrown around lightly. As for the young lady who comments that "in order to speak your mind" you must first be in possession of one. I don't suppose she considered the possibility that this kind of an attack can easily be turned around right back at her. I am not a fan of Ann Coulter's and find myself often wondering "did she really say that?" on many of her comments but to have a meaningful discussion, it is my humble opinion that name calling only brings more name calling.

cristina east   February 19th, 2009 11:13 pm ET

joy brown–what a relief!

ann coulter is cold–narcissist (sick/self-defensive brain-motive SUB conscious/subliminal)

Maggie   February 19th, 2009 11:14 pm ET

Very seldom do I watch your show but tonight I COULDN'T miss it when I found out Joy Behar and Ann Coulter were on. Joy Behar is a big-mouth bully who could not ask one intellectual question tonight. She certainly couldn't keep her mouth shut long enough to hear the answers Ann was trying to give her. I also was intrigued by the fact that Behar twisted Ann's questions around, but I did love the way Ann redirected her!! I don't necessarily agree with everything Ms Coulter says but it's amazing to me that Liberals can say ANYTHING and conservatives need to be "censored". I love the fact that Obama is driving this country into 1.7 trillion dollars worth of debt that our grandchildren can pay for!!! Oh, I forgot, we also pay for the liberals such as Joy, Babs, etc....go figure. Keep her coming back, there is nothing more entertaining than to watch and idiot like Behar be eaten alive by a Smart, Conservative WOMAN!!

Patrick Ernst   February 19th, 2009 11:19 pm ET

Larry – Enjoyed not watching your show. Did you ask that thing how it felt when one of the spouse’s of the 911 victim was killed in the recent Contenental plane crash in Buffalo? That’s right, “it” is not human so it would not feel anything. Larry, you have given air time to the likes of Hitler and the KKK. Shame on you. Never again will I watch your show. It’s filth.

For those of you who debated any value of "its" comments – are you NUTS! What was there of value to discuss?

cristina east   February 19th, 2009 11:19 pm ET

joy brown–what a relief! Ann coulter=narcissist/self-defense(sick)– cold yet subjective false pride

Dan Harris   February 19th, 2009 11:57 pm ET

Never read so many cliche's repeated endlessly by the typical, self-rightious, faux indignant Anne Coulter haters. I don't care what you think of her, but if the best you can do is pull out the" fascist, racist meanie" charges then just take you "walks during the show", come back and review what you learned in college about debate and discourse. While your at it, admit that what you really hate about Coulter is that she's, well...a she. And god knows, any good lefty can't tolerate a smart, ivy league educated woman who supports life, freedom and the constitution. Grow up

Jaz   February 20th, 2009 12:12 am ET

I have a question for ManCoulter...

Could you tell the viewing audience your thoughts as to your sex-change operation from male to female?

dawne   February 20th, 2009 12:14 am ET

why does larry king allow have joy baher on this show!!! just like donald trump says ..she has no talent ,not funny ,and is the worst host there is!!! all my friends feel the same way,she is terrible!!! dont allow her on this show again !!thats why i dont watch the view on reg basis is because of her!!! she is a dumb ditz!!!

Terrence M   February 20th, 2009 12:25 am ET

I can't b'lve that CNN has invited Ann C on the show. Ann I have a question for you. If you know so much why aren't you in a public office. By being in the Republican party you are a real embarassment to the Party please stop saying that you are a Republican because you are in a totaly different world. You are the reason the Republicans are suffering so much. You think you know it all and know nothing.

Marah   February 20th, 2009 12:27 am ET

I am disgusted by Ann Coulter and I don't know why any self-respecting talk show host would bother to have her on the show. She is absolutely self-rigtheous, unyeilding, single-minded, ego-maniacal, ignorant, right wing bulldozer. She said tonight that she's
"very popular". I'm writing in just to say, I'm disgusted, and I do hate her (contrary to what she said on tonight's show – that people don't hate her).

Christopher Navarro   February 20th, 2009 12:28 am ET

First Ann Coulter omg is this woman for real seriously she is retarded extremely retarded when she was asked if anyone hates her and she said no one does she can count me as a person who does she needs to keep her retarded logic off of intelligent channels and books for that matter she is another one of those right wing nut jobs who think everyone else is the root of their problems and if everyone were just like them they would have a million dollars and be happy Ann please do yourself a favor and shut up really if you believe the stuff you say just wow there is something seriously wrong with you.

Bryan Mahanes   February 20th, 2009 12:28 am ET

Hey guys!!!! I just want to say....." I Love the HOST!!!" see is so smart, witty, not allowing this woman who is so sad and lost not get away with one thing. who is the host? Jan? I don't watch the View but I love this woman!!!

I thibk its so sad and to a degree so dangerous the way "republicans" thinks....It reminds me of a hitler (mentaliity) I was watching Joy and her 1st guest...Ann and so disappointed on the mindframe of the republicans......Democrats dont have this way ..........blacks dont hate this way....why white republicans have such hatred ....where is the unity behind this administration and this country

Bryan Mahanes   February 20th, 2009 12:31 am ET

Joy Baher! ok, got it. She rocks!!!!! So funny and witty and ahead of that Ann thing. I love it Joy! Give her heck!!

Cecelia M. Brown   February 20th, 2009 12:31 am ET

Loved Ann Coulter and thought she was terrific tonight.

leslie   February 20th, 2009 12:31 am ET

ann needs to go to the crazy house?

Stone Akin   February 20th, 2009 12:34 am ET

If Ann Coulter will marry a descendant of Hitler and have a child their child will be able to carry on their bigoted supremist views.
Stone Akin

Dennis Ashworth   February 20th, 2009 12:36 am ET

Ann Coulter – Has she gone? Good. She is so New York – please don't put her back on again. She makes no sense says nothing and how in gods name did she ever get a job? Being a critic takes intelligence and Ann doesn't qualify. One on one she may be great to have an argument with which cever comes to conclusion – naked and a bottle of wine for the hour. But to give her the dignity of 21 minutes on The Larry King Show Worldwide – please don't ever invite her back.

She is so Howard Stern – talks and thinks someone is listening. Ann no one is listening! Because you are not making any sense about anything.

Todd Trader   February 20th, 2009 12:36 am ET

Way to go Joy, I loved how you brushed off Ann Coulter like yesterday's newspaper, OLD TRASH not even worth reading, we hate you Ann!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jen   February 20th, 2009 12:37 am ET

WOSRT Larry King show I have ever seen and it's NOT because of Ann Coulter. Joy Behar needs to go! She a a far stretch from the class and style that typifies the Larry King show. Joy Behar is so without tact and class, she makes Ann Coulter sound like a rock star. This show sounds more like a female dog fight than any form of political talk show. Producers should be embarrassed by this sad display. Larry, please save us from this aweful trainwreck.

Young J. Son   February 20th, 2009 12:38 am ET

Anne has some really good points. That point about turning back the clock on welfare reform with the Stimulus is an especially important one. Larry, thanks for the nice change of pace. Bring her back!

Erin   February 20th, 2009 12:38 am ET

Ann is the most profoundly insecure, cold, heartless, and severely narcissistic person I have ever heard. I am sick of her self-indulged comments. Has she ever considered doing anything good in her life, besides point fingers? All I can say is that she sucks at life and you couldn't pay me to read anything written by her.

K Morris   February 20th, 2009 12:38 am ET

Ann Coulter is brainless and so full of herself. When are the good networks going to see this? I will not watch your show or anyone who has her on their show. She makes me sick to my stomach with all of her nonsense and ridiculous accusations. She in my opinion is not intelligent or tactful nor does she care. She is just trying to sell books and herself by being totally outrageous. She has had a good teacher in Rush Limbaugh who is equally ridiculous. They must have attending acting school. Please do not give her anymore publicity by having her as a guest. Let Fox keep her.

Lexi   February 20th, 2009 12:38 am ET

Yea we will see how much "republicans are suffering" once the demacrates mess these next 4 years up...And dawne I totally agree she needs to shut her mouth! She thinks she knowseverything but really knows nothing shes the damn host and doesnt know how to be one..........

Gloria Collins   February 20th, 2009 12:40 am ET

Watching liberal Joy Behar try to argue with conservative Ann Coulter makes me very proud to be a conservative. It is no contest!! Joy is emotional; Ann is factual. Joy is all over the place; Ann stays focused. Joy is insulting; Ann is gracious. I taped the "interview" and will watch it again and again.

Denise   February 20th, 2009 12:41 am ET

Annn coulter what is wrong wit her? I don't like her. If I was to see her I would slap her. I am single mother and all the things that was said man. She just made me mad. She is a dumb *****! I don't have a problem with White people but. Do ya think this is ya world?

Bill P.   February 20th, 2009 12:42 am ET

A true civility terrorist....

Kinnard Rogers   February 20th, 2009 12:42 am ET

She is obviously very informed and opinionated. She can hold her own. I would enjoy watching her talk show or listen to her radio show. I'm actually enjoying this interview. I think she's well in touch with a majority of Americans. Some network will make a lot of money by signer her on. Success is in Ann Coulter's destiny. America wants Ann Coulter.

Joyce   February 20th, 2009 12:44 am ET

Thank you for having Ann Coulter on your show! I think most of the people who cannot handle Coulter are just close-minded, we have to be able to hear more opinions about issues from different sources. I don't agree with all her opinions, but at least I can say I listened and evaluated. Joy Behar however acted rude, angry and hateful. Not a very impressive host at all!

Ivy   February 20th, 2009 12:44 am ET

Mzz. Coulter...hush, you silly woman.

p.s. I truly have know idea why folks get so worked up about you and rush...entertainment is entertainment...and ya'll certainly qualify.

adam haney   February 20th, 2009 12:44 am ET

Ann coulter Ive watched you through the years seen pies thrown in your face, people call you a nazi-funny you cant see why-.I often find some of the dumbest redneck gun toting bible thumping morons reading your book.I say keep it up though because if you represent the republican party then there wont be many republicans left soon. So really im on your side. You and Palin. You could of been one of Stalins top aids.funny watching you.You are a nazi and your parties time in power is up.get used to it.So keep it up."we will soon shake your windows and rattle your walls for the times they are a changing"

Imaward   February 20th, 2009 12:47 am ET

Joy Behar is very uninformed on political and government issues. She proves it every morning and did so again tonight when she attempted to trip up Ann Coulter but failed miserably. Everything Ann said is true and based on facts. Everything Joy says is a bunch of liberal spewing, overusing the word "society" as dumb people do, and taking every opportunity to speak poorly of an administration that is no longer in power. When Ann said it was a positive thing that Obama figured out right away (once he actually got some facts) that the troops should not be pulled out, Joy's question "so you think we should torture?" was a classic example of her stupidity and all-or-none mentality. But they're both entertaining.

Wendy   February 20th, 2009 12:49 am ET

I listened to the entire Joy/Ann interview and read many of the blogs here. What is most disturbing are the Coulter supporters that claim she has the facts. Just because she says something so aggressively or appears to bully her way thru a conversation does not lead to factual statements. She made many statements that just sounded crazy!

Lexi   February 20th, 2009 12:51 am ET

Yea Denise Thats what she thinks its her world because shes white! OMG! Why does it have to be a white or black thing omg it has nothing to do with color! Just like in todays post the whole chimp cartoon how its so racist but when they were making fun of president Bush it was all good right why the heck is it not ok just because Obamas black it has nothing to do with color! And im sooooooo sick of the RACE CARD! And I think Ann is too... And maybe there is a reason 80% of people in jail where raised by single mothers weird!!!!!!!

angela   February 20th, 2009 12:52 am ET

I like Ann she can hold her own , is entitled to her own opinions & brave enough to state them. Joy needs to listen more & talk less, her view is not the only view.I do like Joy but she does not seem to respect others opinions.

Lori   February 20th, 2009 12:52 am ET

Wow, really Miss Coulter? Well talk to us when you decide to grow up and have your own children. Let's keep in mind that you should get married to the father first so your child doesn't go straight to prison! That will probably be tough, being that he had to cork your mouth and put a bag over your head just to make the child. Not only are you a discrace to your ever dwindling party, you are a poor excuse for an American woman. What could have gone so terribly wrong in your life that you have to give your twenty-two cents on topics you have never, and lord help us, will never experience for yourself! Do you not see yourself on tv and see the mental illness shining through? You are Obnoxious. You always use the term "facts" but you only use facts that are negative and in "left" field. I will do everything in my power to stop people from buying your books. After all instead of using the money for your medication you just buy life size Rush dolls. Your parent(s) did this country a dis-service by procreating! Now run along and get your stick ready for re-insertion.

Ps back off of Barbara Walters! She is what a true American Woman looks like!

Judith   February 20th, 2009 12:53 am ET

Ann Coulter reminds me of the old movies of the traveling saleman with a gimmick selling bs.

She also acts like she is part of Rush Limbaugh's cult who he says right out that he has more power than any of the Republican Party.
These GOPs in Washington that don't have guts to come out and face Rush have no business getting paid a salary by the Americans who put them there to work for them. They ought to get a check from Rush L
The GOPs are out of touch with the middle class because they worked for the big business far too long looking out for their interests.

As far as ex President Bush he had put our Country in debt of the Iraq War and than a 2nd one with a Possibility of a 3rd one coming. Were these Republicans sleeping on the bus while he was driving then suddenly said 'ok people it's 8 yrs later wake up'.

President Obama received all these gifts from Bush the day he went into the oval office as our new President. It's going to take years to get our Country healthy once again. At least he's trying and will be trying all kinds of ways. What worked during the depression won't work now because we had the depression 1st then a war.We had the War first and now all this mess.
It's time for all of us to pull together because we're all in it together like it or not and the fighing in Washington is like small kids fighting. Many
Countries are looking at us.The House that voted 0 for the package and the Senate that voted 3 is shocking at this time. This just goes to show the American people that no matter what the Reps will try to block anything President Obama does.

We don't need more tax breaks for the white collar workers like the far right wants. The package should have been bigger, period.

When President Obama had a few people that he wanted in his adm that had to pay back taxes these Republicans made a big deal of it but they sure are silent when Sarah Palin has to now pay back taxes.

Lon Bennett Glenn   February 20th, 2009 12:55 am ET

Watching Joy Baaaaaahar attempt to interview Ann Coulter was like watching a four-year-old child teach a college class full of Phd's. Ann has forgotten more about the American culture, politics and human relationships than Joy will ever be able to grasp. Perhaps Joy has spent to much time sipping the liberal kool-aid on the view.
Please, give us a break. Joy was so far out of her element as to to be an embarrassment even to her liberal following.

Fowler   February 20th, 2009 12:57 am ET

Wow. I have read through a lot of these posts and have come to a bothersome conclusion: possibly most of us hateful conservatives are cowards. I have seen sadly few conservative replies. I like Ann. She has guts. She is smart and she knows what she is talking about. So far, no one has said anything that I can see that has proved wrong anything she's said. I mean, com'on people... it is America. It seems everyone in the country , except true conservatives) are allow to speak their "minds" and write books that glorify everything from serial killers to people who eat their own child's afterbirth. I detest whining liberals crying about "so Ann, why did you hurt their wittle feelings?". Grow up people. Why is this woman the devil because she is serious about conservatism and serious about the capital B capital S that is the liberal norm in the media? I say bravo to Ann. She has the cojones that, if all us lily-livered conservatives had, America would still be "In God We Trust", not "In Stimulus We Hope". I have heard some of the most ridiculous and hateful stuff pour out of the mouths of liberals during this past election season, to the point of blind idiocy, and I was amazed... profoundly amazed at the seemingly absolute blindness of people. People who truly have "itching ears" and only want to hear what makes them feel special and safe, like sucking at the giant government teat. Spewing hate? No, just telling it like it is, telling the TRUTH The truth does not matter in America anymore. But Ann is a warrior for the truth. Yes, she can be brash and opinionated, but who cares? Did she hurt your wittle feelings? Don’t worry, Obama will make it allllll better.

S.H.   February 20th, 2009 12:59 am ET

This woman is damaged goods! people should feel sorry for her and anyone who agrees with her. Like all hate mongers they look for anyone to blame to get their way or in this case sell a book.

They hate, hate, hate for so long they can't stand anything.

If there not careful thats all they'll ever be.

Angell Silye   February 20th, 2009 1:00 am ET

Ann CAN only point out the issues , but of course she provides no solution(s) to the problems.
But wait, that would actually require smarts and intelligence.

Joyce   February 20th, 2009 1:00 am ET

Imward..... you are so correct:

When Ann said it was a positive thing that Obama figured out right away (once he actually got some facts) that the troops should not be pulled out, Joy’s question “so you think we should torture?” was a classic example of her stupidity and all-or-none mentality.

If you don't like the answer, just pretend you never asked the questions and quickly move to the next question! Joy, that made you look pretty lame.

Lexi   February 20th, 2009 1:01 am ET

Yea Lon I bet it was the Liberal Koolaid that made her suck sooo bad!!! Please never bring Joy back on Larry King! It was a disgrace!

adam haney   February 20th, 2009 1:04 am ET

Has Ann ever had a job?doubt it.Maybe thats why she wants to have sex with Bush.I mean really.what a moron

Martin Turrubiates   February 20th, 2009 1:05 am ET

I think Ann is a very smart person and also love the hell out of her she reminds me of my wife they are twins same personality people don't like to her the truth always want everything to be toned down not just thrown at them great job Ann keep it up 🙂

Susan Schnier   February 20th, 2009 1:06 am ET

It is always a disappointment for me to sit and watch Joy Behar stand in for Larry King, but tonight watching her yell at Ann Coulter who in my estimation is on the same level as Joy Behar was disturbing. Both women behaved unprofessionally and it is embarrassing as a women to watch these two hens vie for position in idiotville.

Susan Schnier

angie   February 20th, 2009 1:08 am ET

ann coulter seems to be a very open and opinionated person so since he is honest in his opinions my question is originally is he a man who had a sex change? he has no female qualities, even when he pulls his hair back he looks very manly. the truth please did you have a sex change man oh i mean ann? how about the truth !!!!

Randy   February 20th, 2009 1:09 am ET

I love Anne, she tells it like it is. Please have her on your show more often, but don't have Joy as a substitute. Joy is crude, rude, and needs a new stylist.

adam haney   February 20th, 2009 1:14 am ET

fowler are you serious blind idiocy? You are probably a Bush supporter,we need to hear what you think about blind idiocy because one who dosent learn from their past is doomed to repeat it

Nadine Wilson   February 20th, 2009 1:15 am ET

Wow, finally we are ALLOWED to hear a smart, sexy and knowledgeable FEMALE speak the truth about the demise of America. The majority of your bloggers perceive life as being "exterior" driven. We are each in charge of how our lives unfold. Thank goodness Anne Coulter sees these truths!

Single mothers who never married are irresponsible. Take Denise for example, why didn't she use birth control? Why didn't she select a better mate? She is "dumb"! Why did she let herself have sex with someone who obviously wouldn't be a good father? Or perhaps she shouldn't be a mother, because she isn't developed enough to be a a mother... God only knows... Anyone who calls Anne Coulter dumb (regardless of your viewpoint) has difficulty understanding reality. We may differ, but differences have nothing to do with intelligence.

Unfortunately single women have abused the successes of the women's movement. Now intelligent women who were abstinent, celibate, educated and practiced delayed gratification (oooh what a concept) have their hard earned money go to Denise's "dumb" mistakes! (... with our tax dollars in case you didn't understand that Denise!)

Thank god for women like Anne Coulter! Horray. Gloria Alred should re-study the underpinnings of feminism. Recently, women like Alred are adding to the co-dependence of women, not noticing that tides have changed. The "playing field" has been leveled. It's time to prepare, practice and play hard. No more whining!

Anne Coulter has given feminism class, intelligence and a reality check while managing to include men! Truly wonderful! Gloria might get a few tips from her insights. Proud to be an American with Anne on board. Thank you, Ms. Coulter for progressing the "movements" on all fronts.

Obama is short-sighted and racist compared to Coulter! Ms. Coutler manages to keep all the "isms" out of the discussion by emphasizing personal responsibility. WIth this intelligent perspective we wouldn't need socialist bills. Really, how much of our incomes should go towards taxes and supporting those who can't, won't or refuse to support themselves? Twenty percent, thirty percent, forty percent, fifty percent? Anyone who has bothered to read this far, just put this in perspective, next time you buy some food mail me 30-40 percent of the cost because that is what I will pay in taxes making less than 100K per year. Oh dear god, keep America free!

Imaward   February 20th, 2009 1:16 am ET

Judith - A "few" people in Obama's administration who had to pay back taxes is not a problem? When one is now the Secretary of the Treasury? He blamed Turbo Tax software for his "mistake", and the taxes would have gone unpaid if he hadn't been forced to pay in order to be part of this amateur's club that is now trying to figure out what to do next. Was there nobody better, with some credibility, who might offer a sense of security in that position, considering our economic troubles? And if you think that a Republican who cheated like that wouldn't have had his/her career destroyed, then you really don't see the hateful bias that led the way for Obama's victory.

T from the Left Coast   February 20th, 2009 1:17 am ET

I really love Anne. She tells it like it is and the liberals can't take what they always dish out! She is too smart for Joy! We Republicans are just too nice, and Anne speaks for us! Love her!!!

Diane Johnson   February 20th, 2009 1:18 am ET

Go Joy-I loved it when Ann Coulter started flipping her hair–is she really a man? I find her disgusting.

Tarin Olson   February 20th, 2009 1:18 am ET

I love Anne Coulter too! Facts are not hateful. ~ Recovering Liberal

Bindi   February 20th, 2009 1:24 am ET

It is really outragious that if all the unwanted pregnancies and babies to single mothers are up for adoption!!?? I don't get these conservatives! And at the sametime they oppose birth control and abortion to those raped or underage pregs?
Hope she gets lost along with her radical fellas Rush and Hannity on a same boat in the atlantic. Somewhere I read that aliens (ETs) have no emotions or feelings, I think she's one of em.

Carl Krueger   February 20th, 2009 1:24 am ET

The "hate" for single mothers, is not hate. What you are hearing are FACTS about how this type of life style and behavior is ruining the moral fiber of society. Morals, ladies. Self-respect, women. As my grandfather used to say, women civilized the world. Unfortunately, women have been degrading themselves during the last 20 years. Step it up ladies. Keep your legs closed.

Caitlin Wright   February 20th, 2009 1:38 am ET

Oh my Carl,

"As my grandfather used to say, women civilized the world. Unfortunately, women have been degrading themselves during the last 20 years. Step it up ladies. Keep your legs closed."

Kind of close to "men walk the line, always have, and it's the woman's responsibility to slap them when they cross it". This is a quote from the film North Country and in case anyone is unaware of the ramifications of that level of sexism they need to watch that film.

Having Joy interview Ann was an embarrassment....for you liberals.

Carl Krueger   February 20th, 2009 1:39 am ET

It's humorous that words like "moron, stupid and hateful" are used to describe Anne. It's obvious that she is intelligent, well-read and and an excellent communicator. Bloggers, you may not agree with her comments, but a bit of tact and intelligence would represent your blogging with more credibility. Stupid Ms. Coulter, is not. She is brilliant and makes excellent points that make sense. Offensive, perhaps, but yes, the truth hurts... Bad behavior on your part should not make you offended, but rather spur you to change and become a better human being.

Bindi   February 20th, 2009 1:39 am ET

Exactly!!!! She's such a horny B'ch.

Lori ex-rupublican voted for Obama   February 20th, 2009 1:44 am ET

This is my second post and Wow! Everyone should be able to see this mental illness just spewing from her face, democrats and republicans alike. By the way it is not about anyones "widdle" feeligs getting hurt! It is about common decency, after all isn't that what this country and the Constitution (Ann's only fallback) all about? Let's face the "facts" if Ann is who you consider smart then we are all headed down a bad road! Thank god I've seen the light! God bless America!

Carl Krueger   February 20th, 2009 1:44 am ET

So, women have no responsibility, Catlin? My comments certainly don't negate men's responsibility. Prey tell, as a society, how do we justify the irresponsible females who allowed themselves to become pregnant with no means to support themselves? Leg crossing makes the most sense. But alas, I suppose you support Octo Mom. Perhaps you can pay my share for the existence of her irresponsible choices?

Lori ex-rupublican voted for Obama   February 20th, 2009 1:58 am ET

Joy is funny and conservatives don't undrstand humor........As we have so blatently seen tonight in Ann's demonstration. Move on y'all!

maggie   February 20th, 2009 2:28 am ET

Carl, my sentiments exactly!! The problem with the octo mom is that we ALL will be supporting her...I know, we'll take our thirteen dollar tax credit and give it to her...NOT!! I love the fact that when a smart conservative woman speaks to a big mouth bully liberal that she is compared to Hitler..I am sure Ann is laughing all the way to the bank. I stopped watching the View when the bully Rose O was on, now I have to stop watching it again because

Amaya   February 20th, 2009 3:17 am ET

Oh my she claiming sex expert role too. Does she even know how to please a man? Hey Ann, good try about not dating know that he will not touch you if you some how sneak into his bed...haha. But good try.

Penny Edmiston   February 20th, 2009 3:30 am ET

By having Ann Coulter on your show for entertainment purposes you are giving her a venue to continue spreading the hate that spews forth out of her mouth. It is unacceptable.

Rebecca Sampson   February 20th, 2009 3:48 am ET

I think that her comments are horrible! I am a single BLACK mother! I had my son at 16, I am 23 now and I AM part of the solution. Her and those who think like her can try to fight it, but they are only fighting because they know they have lost! I wouldn't support the canidates they chose and neither did their own party! That is ehy Obama won! I do agree there is much to be done, but know that it is SHARKS like her, that parade best sellers and that sold people the houses they could not afford that made this problem what it is, not the hard working Americans like me that she trys to pick the pockets of that have made this mess! Own it, and be apart of the solution because in my opinion, you are just another SHARK creating a problem! That is why Obama won!

Michael Mckane Hong Kong   February 20th, 2009 5:25 am ET

Oh Iam so loving this show today in Hong kong, Joy must have been dreading it when she realised whoom she would be interviewing whilst standing in for Larry King. Ann you go girl, you are making Joy look like what she is, which is a failed comic, the joke is on Joy. Revenge is sweet, thoes four things on the view were vile to Ann when she was on their show, Ann in my oppinion ur a class act and so interlectualy apt, poor Joy, u have all my sympathy for this performance, Ann has made u look like,......... I dont even know the word to use......Anne should be on the show again, and again, and again.........

Petter   February 20th, 2009 5:38 am ET

Larry good morning from Brussels

This women dont know what she is talking about, the way she is taking about single mother is a shame, your sow is good but avoid taking in women like that, she just talk and do not listen to anybody, she think that she is always right, she should go down with GW Bush

A.C. is like professional wrestling – bloated whackiness filled with nothing but hot air, pretty ridiculous, rather disgusting, and ultimately boring like hell, too. the parallels go on.

Actually listened to this person for an unbearable 15 minutes from my home in Canada. She defines cause of 80 per cent of incarcerated people – predominantly black I might add, although she didn't mention that - being from single parent mother homes rather than acknowledging the more pervasive challenges of racial bigotry, poverty or the inequity of wages for female versus male professions (I note she's a lawyer and somehow could rise above that) or the terminal lack of responsibility for children among fathers. Will not watch her or listen to her again. Will change the channel or shut off the dribble. This person capitalizes on serving up simplistic solutions to complex problems and by pointing to an obviously mentally ill person – the new mom of eight babies – and generalizing across an entire spectrum. She's a conflict and controversy generator as a livelihood and she exemplifies why the United States is generally not viewed as a peaceful, solution oriented nation. It's where "might is right" and people like Ann Coulter fortify the character defects of an entire nation.

I completely agree with Penny Edmiston who also posted here and says

Larry, you are a very smart showman. You keep your guests as friends by asking softball questions and never pushing them to disclose anything that any junior reporter couldn't scoop up. I assume that is how you get the most newsworthy people.
In addition you select your guest hosts based upon their inability show any level of journalism. Joy, Phil and Ryan sitting in your chair, your desk it must make you sick. Having just watched Joy and Ann Coulter is the worst interviewing attempt in television history. Please firm up your show, toughen up on the guests and hire replacements that you would be proud to have on your show.

Bozly   February 20th, 2009 8:31 am ET

Just a note...the true majority who DELIBERATELY did NOT tune in or DID TUNE OUT once realized it was ANNIE C...they will not bother to stop by and report their reulsion to the nights "guest". AC got her many of her "groupies" to tune in–but its a vastly smaller audience than one might suspect. In AC's book/publishing contract, there is a stipulation that her books must be BOUGHT BACK–which is so done, then used for giveaways via various "fundraising" efforts/outreach programs of the rightwing groupies who feed on hate messagins, take them up as their gospel and can even heard quoting passages from such as AC or RL and etc for they have choosen to let those sorts be their endorsed spoke-folks. Pathetic and sad...but their right to be as they choose–they WILL have to get use to it–the majority has choosen to move on and make some real progress so they will be able to remain where they choose to be, wallowing in their victimized status sure that all others made their life miserable /blah/.blah and BL:AH !!!!

Marie Bonfield   February 20th, 2009 9:07 am ET

Ann Coulter is smart , brainy, intelligent and beautiful. It's amazing to read the hatred in the blogs against her. The Devil's dogs are very active. Keep up the good fight Ann.

Dave   February 20th, 2009 12:14 pm ET

Okay after watching LKL I think I finally get it, Ann Coulter and the likes, Rush, etc.Hannity. etc..etc. it's all a big sham....... there is no way any half way intelligent person could buy all the garbage they spew. It's all an act. A way to make money and act like a total ass...hmmmmm maybe they aren't so dumb after all, I just wonder how much of this crap they actually believe theirselves. Doesn't really take that much intelligence ,to spew hate, look down on anyone who would dares to disagree with your viewpoints,be rude and obnoxious, trying to not let anyone have their say talking, talking talking, not letting anyone else have their say, trying to talk over someone. No one person or idea is usually 100% right or wrong. That's the problem with politics today, you can't just disagree with someone, or try to see their side,if you don't agree then then it's obvious you must hate them, and it's people like this foster that type of thinking and it's hurting the country. I think Joy did a great job !!! It was quite evident they dis-like each other, of the two, she showed much more class....
