From the producer's desk – on last night's show with Pres. Clinton

Posted: 01:35 PM ET

From Producer Eleanor McManus:

My colleague Michael Watts and I are traveling back to DC from Little Rock today. We were at the Clinton Library where Larry interviewed President Clinton for the hour last night.Bill Clinton on LKL

The interview coincided with the opening of the Peter Max exhibit at the Clinton Library. Peter even gave us a tour of his exhibit which we will put up on the website, so stay tuned!

It's an absolutely beautiful library with very modern architecture. There's a room inside that is a replica of the Oval Office in the White House. It even has pictures of Secretary Hillary Clinton and Chelsea during President Clinton's years at the White House. In fact we found out that when the President comes to Little Rock, he actually stays at the library. There is a private room upstairs for him. They even have a putting green on the roof, and some days visitors can see the President putting some balls!

Larry has interviewed President Clinton many times, but this time it was very special be able to do it at the Clinton Library. Also, this was the first time President Clinton was exactly on time for the interview! Usually when we tape an interview with the former President he's a bit tardy – he has even arrived up to an hour late. Larry was surprised how on-time he was...

The President flew into Little Rock incredibly early Tuesday morning. In fact his staff said that while they were trying to get some sleep on the plane, the President was up explaining the stimulus to his agents!

President Clinton was as gracious as ever. Before he sat down he shook everyone's hand in the room – from the cameramen to the producers on site. He was even the one who rounded up everyone at the end for a group picture!

Larry interviewed him for the full hour, but there was still plenty left to discuss. President Clinton could have talked for hours. He lights up when he talks about his foundation (Clinton Global Initiative) and all the work they do. Something tells me we are going to hear a lot more from President Clinton soon.

I think your a wonderful guy:

However –

Please think about re-reading the childrens book about – Pinocchio.

Everybody makes mistakes – but you have to admit it!

Then write a book about how you lied to the American people and why?

You will be loved by many and better understood and liked by others.

The fact you had an affair with Monical Lewinsky was one thing – people make mistakes!

The fact you tried to cover it up by lying was the real problem and what you need to write a book about.

It would be a great book – BILL – and you would be much respected and admired for doing it…

Sincerely and all the best,
Northport, NY

Greed is what killed and EMPIRE! Bankers, Brokers, Real Estate Agents are responsible for the Real Estate Market CRASH! I am a Real Estate Agent and I work for the County Government in the Real Estate Market and I have worked for JP Morgan as a credit underwriter and I show the problem with the over priced Real Estate Market back in 2005. The Banks could have denied the unqualified customer in the begining. However, they were GREEDY and knew they would not be holding the HOT LAVA ROCK that would be worthless once the home owner defaulted. Because it would be sold on the Stock Market. So now the Banks are underwriting loans properly. I say let all the homes go back to the lenders.

I think that the years of out sourcing our jobs here in America from past bad presidential decisions to do so (Bill Clinton) is a huge reason the housing market fell!! How in the hell are people going to buy homes if there jobs are flying out of the country by the thousands? There's no stability in the job market in manufacturing because of that very think. Who cares if other countries think we are nice for giving them our jobs, we need them back here. The government sold us out!!
If that wasn't enough of a blow from years of that, then came the enormous jump in the gsaoline prices that the government stood by and did nothing about til it finished throwing our beloved country (that the government pretends to care so much about) into a full blown recession. Then they use our tax dollars and give it to the banks and car companies. Who can get a loan or buy a car if there unemployed. How stupid and what a waste of our money was that? It should have been given to the tax payers, but unfortunately that would have been the right thing to do and our beloved government would not hear of that? The government has sold us out over and over again and continues to sell us out with these big bailouts and giving money to everyone except the tax payers that need it the most!! If they really wanted to change things they would bring in the fair tax, and it would bring power to the people!

It's not too surprising that the former President does not know that the embryonic stem cells that he is prepared to use for experiments to try to cure some diseases are actually fertilized, i.e. the female egg and the male sperm have been united to form a human. This probably explains the anti-life, pro-abortion policy he advocated and promoted during his terms in office. I'm sure Hillary would know better.

President Clinton had a good overview of the bailout.
