Like the Starbucks posters say about Christmas Blend, "it happens once a year." It's a day all the LKL staff look forward to with our taste buds, and dread for our waist-lines. It's Goodie Box Day. LKL Sr. Editorial Producer Carol Buckland is quite the chef, and every year around the holidays she gives the staff, all of us, a box of baked goods that is unrivaled in the broadcast industry. Brownies, sugar cookies with a lemon twist, chocolate chip cookies, chex mix, macaroons....you get the idea. The boxes arrived today. Carol has promised she'll be adding recipes to this blog - so stay tuned, and if you see someone waddling around the streets of DC, odds are it's an LKL staffer who over indulged.
