We love you Casey, thanks for being such a true sounthern gentleman through out the season. And I would love to meet your Mother, because she did such a fine job of raising a fine, humble young man.
Take care Casey on your way back home & a shout out to your brother as well.
Thank You So Much!🙂

Kurt   May 27th, 2010 8:54 pm ET

Hi Larry
With the reduction of oil being released from the pipe line and top kill reducing its flow would the steel and concrete containment form now help to confine the spill.
Kurt

susan   May 27th, 2010 9:07 pm ET

the leak has to be stopped before any real clean up effort can produce results.my question is why didn't bp put top kill in gear on day 2?!perhaps greed!this is 5 weeks into the disaster.what measures might have been taken differently if this occured on british shores.

Paul   May 27th, 2010 9:14 pm ET

The initilal BP procedures were to cap and produce the well. This would have saved the cost of drilling and millions of barrels of production profit. Once the oil reached the shores they were forced to take steps to adandon the well and cap it. They could have added the second blow out preventer in the first week. and shut off the well.

Rick MI   May 27th, 2010 9:16 pm ET

If BP says this is a minor spill then BP must be expecting bigger and better things in the future.

Tex   May 27th, 2010 9:19 pm ET

Stopping off shore drilling immediately after the disaster was the right call. If the MMS has been so lax with BP, what's to say they haven't been lax with regulating the other oil companies?

When Three Mile Island occurred, every nuclear plant in the country was shutdown for months to evaluate the possibilities of similar accidents happening.

RickFromDetroit   May 27th, 2010 9:21 pm ET

I still think that our over consumption of oil is leading to over drilling to meet consumer demand and we should be looking to reduce consumption.

Will the Congress and the president enforce the 2012 fuel economy standards or will we back to the same old business as usual like we have been doing for 35 years.

Brian   May 27th, 2010 9:27 pm ET

Larry,

To put the Gulf spill in some sort of perspective for the average citizen, how much oil is imported by the United States on a daily basis compared to the amount that has been spilled over the last 37 days?

Brian (Calgary AB)

barry   May 27th, 2010 9:28 pm ET

you can not believe anything these people tell you. it's all about the money Right now as i write this BP is trying to find away to make a buck out of this. and to believe any different is naive in the extreme.

Dennis Plasse   May 27th, 2010 9:31 pm ET

Larry:

Why don't you ask the the governor of Louisiana to have his people take barrels, tanks and pump that oil. They could sell it back to BP as a job stimulus for Louisana and help protect the eco system of the coastline.

Michael Armstrong Sr.   May 27th, 2010 9:43 pm ET

T.Bone is trying to defend a fellow oil producer we know why the thing blew up it was because of a poor decision .

Michael Armstrong Sr.   May 27th, 2010 9:45 pm ET

The CEO new the damn seal was chewed up but used the blow out any way he belongs in prison .

Tex   May 27th, 2010 9:48 pm ET

The last "major accident" in the airline industry was 9/11. The airline industry did shut down temporarily while the government developed and employed more stringent security measures.

A plane crash that kills 300 people is a tragedy. However, what is going on in the gulf is an absolute disaster. It's going to kill countless animals and affect the livelihood of thousands possibly millions of Americans. It sounds like Mr Pickens is trying to downplay this like BP.

Nicholas Louis   May 27th, 2010 9:48 pm ET

Many news casters/commentators have identified this failed offshore catastrophy as part of the US oils upply, yet, in reality, all oils go into an international pool. Is this correct, and if so, why are we taking such a tremendous risk for the rest of the world's oil supply?

Ken Allison   May 27th, 2010 9:53 pm ET

How could BP be operating a high production oil well 1mile deep in The Gulf of Mexico and not have a WORST CASE SCENARIO contingency plan that would have been immediately put into effect if the deep water well failed, like it now has? Where has BP been all these years of harvesting deep water oil?

Disgusted in Claremont

rregister   May 27th, 2010 9:54 pm ET

Dear Mr. King:

Please ask Krystal if she will get a recording contract when she is on your show tomorrow night.

Thanks,

rosalyn

Jeff St. James   May 27th, 2010 9:55 pm ET

Backbone, strength, integrity, and humbleness toward our American citizens is what we need from our President.

I want to see our president show passions and strength, A president who is ready to kick some ass like our pass presidents during WWII.

Show some strength, hit your fist down on the podium! Show that you are a strong President and ready to protect our country during trying times. We want to see that.

Desiree Polley   May 27th, 2010 9:55 pm ET

Crystal, will you ever take your dredlocks out.
Lee, how do you feel about being the american idol.
Tim, Are you going to keep singing I think you have a wonderful voice and i think you should..
You guys all did great and i hope you guys had fun and i will see you guys on tour this summer i always go to the american idol tour..

Brian   May 27th, 2010 10:00 pm ET

A nuclear explosion would collapse and seal the well! It would have to be done at low tide, but it will work.
Hay must be used in the clean up. Regular livestock hay can be used to collect the oil. Oil sticks to the hay. It can be picked up from the water and shoreline much easier than just oil. And then it can be burned to produce electricity.

RickFromDetroit   May 27th, 2010 10:03 pm ET

Wolf Blitzer reported the top kill was still under way, Rick on Campbell Brown reported that BP has paused the top kill, now BP is saying the top kill stopped 16 hours ago and now has resumed.

Are we sure that there is a top kill under way?

Abdullah from Dubai   May 27th, 2010 11:47 pm ET

Lee and Crystal, will you form a band later on, because that duet was great. Plus. Will anyone of you give up singing from now on? Good Luck for the future because i will be waiting for some good music from you people.........:)

Mark   May 28th, 2010 12:23 am ET

Larry,

With a water psi around 2.5 kpsi and a well head psi around 10 kpsi, it sure is a very difficult environment. Regardless, I'm extremely surprised that these BOP on sea bed are not equiped with redundant high pressure shut off valves??? Can we get more info on the BOP???

Kevin   May 28th, 2010 12:44 am ET

Larry,

I believe containment is the immediate answer. Has anyone considered lowering and anchoring steel cables surrounding the plume. Then from above the surface lower an enclosure, perhaps a heavy steel mesh down and around these anchored cables, also anchored to the surface. Certainly the combination of cold temperature and the viscosity of the oil will immediately create it"s own containment, guilding the oil spill to the surface where it can be skimmed/pumped into tankers. Just an idea?

Mark   May 28th, 2010 12:51 am ET

Larry,

I would like for you to ask BP if their Engineers ever completed a Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) for their drilling rigs and BOPs. A FMEA is a tool used throughout the Auto industry and it's uppliers to evalute potential failures modes and then to prioritize actions based on severity, occurance and abiiltiy to detect.

Steven   May 28th, 2010 1:01 am ET

T Boone Pickens was the voice of experience and wisdom. Best comments to date on this unprecedented disaster.

jason   May 28th, 2010 1:01 am ET

the derck hand and the rig hands had enough time to get the well under controle cas the us pason ant u can tell with pason it u your mud tanks are ganing and u shut the well in and tell the comp. hand there is a blow is progress the comp. can see the pason to but the hands are the first line and if the driller and tool pusher do not agree then they need to stand up and fight and they could twist off if they need to cas i work in the oil field and if i think it will cuz a blow out i would walk off the job and they could kill them self.

Bob Lindberg Pa. cell 8145120084   May 28th, 2010 1:17 am ET

Dear Mr Pickens America Needs You. I wish you and your associates would go to Washington and share your common sence with our elected officials. It seems that someone dropped the ball. I'm proude to be an american and We need more Americans such as you. THANKS Bob Lindberg cell 8145120084 GOD BLESS AMERICA

Richard Kowalski   May 28th, 2010 2:39 am ET

I would like to The American Idol Organization: Is there anyway two 58 year old fans, me and my wife, can meet all the Idols when they come to Tampa?

Ruth H. Loud   May 28th, 2010 4:00 am ET

Hey Larry why couldn't they take an old tanker and submerge it on top of the leaking well, a good heavy flat bottom boat,There are plenty in dry docks right here in the USA I shouldn't be hard to guide one down with chains from the surface, just an ides. Ruth H loud

Herbert   May 28th, 2010 4:02 am ET

T Boone Pickens for president !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This guy knows the issues and how to implement them.

Tatiana   May 28th, 2010 4:16 am ET

Ask Siobhan how did she feel after meeting her idols Hanson. Did she listen to their new cd already. Did she like it?

Janice   May 28th, 2010 4:36 am ET

Let's stop complaining, pointing fingers, panicking, and display of disrespect of one another.

A tragedy occurred. Eleven lives were lost. The families of the eleven victims need our support and understanding. Does anyone know the eleven that died names? I don't because the media fail to report the news, instead they opt toward commentary and political opinions!

Instead of complaining about our President (whom inherited most of the problems including corporate deregulation (BP, Halliburton, Massey) and how some have called "BP" his "Katrina" – let's work on resolve. This is a major crisis, an untested crisis requiring as much support and assistance from everyone that can. BP didn't just happen; BP a British company has been drilling oil out of US terrioritory for years and selling it back to us; with many knowing of the possible casualties due to "deregulation" laws by past administrations.

We Americans are better than how we are portrayed in the media. The world sees us as cry babies, complainers, spoiled, hypocrites! I know, I recently traveled aboard and boy did I get an ear full.

Where are the people, vans, buses traveling down to the areas to help clean up the mess, stacking sand bags or modes to prevent the oil from coming on shore. Helping out doesn't mean helping BP or our government, it means helping our fellow neighbors, fellow human beings, fellow Americans.

BP had no back up plan to solve the problem, and as a British corporation, they have no ties and can pack up and walk away. Our government has limited expertise for oil drilling. Therefore, a call out to all experts, technicians both foriegn and domestic is needed!

God Bless America.

Thank you for allowing me to post my first comment ever!

Laura Connor   May 28th, 2010 5:10 am ET

Didi, your are amazing, I'm your #1 fan, and I think you should've won!!! My question to you is: if you were able to sell out any 2 venues in the whole world, which venue would it be? I'll love and suppity you forever!!!

Juliana Di Marco   May 28th, 2010 5:18 am ET

Siobhan, your duet with the Bee Gees was amazing!!! My mom nearly died when she saw her favorite band (Bee Gees) and her favorite American Idol contestant (You) perform!!! You deserved the title, but I think you'll be successful no matter what!!! I wanna ask, did you ever do anything in your Idol performances that wasn't normally planned, but you did it anyways???

Justin from Singapore   May 28th, 2010 5:53 am ET

Larry, I'm posing this question for the American Idol episode; thanks:

For Crystal: Acoustic, folk, and indie music are not exactly hit material. Will your debut album have a more commercial sound, or will you be sticking to your roots?

Aaron Magana   May 28th, 2010 9:04 am ET

I would like to ask Siobhan Magnus if she is planning on getting anymore tattoos?

mariam   May 28th, 2010 9:24 am ET

American idol was delightful to watch shame some members are leaving.

Gene Price   May 28th, 2010 9:35 am ET

What are the daily work schedules going to be like in preparing for the tour and how many song do you anticipte? Siobhan will they allow you to sell any of your glass blown art work at the souvenir tables?

Annie   May 28th, 2010 9:56 am ET

QUESTION FOR CASEY JAMES:

You're amazing on the guitar and I love your voice! Did you have guitar lessons or are you self taught? Do you still have pain from your accident when you play?

Evelyn Bakshi   May 28th, 2010 12:56 pm ET

Pls ask Casey James if he has signed a recording contract already and when will his first CD album gonna be released...we are waiting anxiously. He's the best this season of AI.
Thanks...

Martha   May 28th, 2010 2:28 pm ET

Please ask Casey James if he has been approached by any record labels and whether or not he will showcase his guitar skills more when he is free to play full-length songs. He is very talented and has a devoted fan base.

Anthony   May 28th, 2010 2:28 pm ET

A question to Siobhan:

Did she find it disheartening or hypocritical that on Idol, she was being told she was too weird, confusing and different for middle America to become a big star, yet that same show promoted such artists like Lady Gaga, Adam Lambert, Elton John, and Kesha, who became popular (in a major part) for that very reason?

Kathryn   May 28th, 2010 3:44 pm ET

Crystal,
What is the most memorable advice or encouraging words you have received from any of your fans?

Wendy T   May 28th, 2010 3:53 pm ET

Question for Lee:

First of all Congratulations! After you won, I saw you perform "Beautiful Day" in acoustic (Totally loved it btw). Was wondering why you did not perform it that way on the finale?

Gail   May 28th, 2010 4:02 pm ET

Hi everyone. I have a double question for Crystal. Do you know yet if you'll be able to record your songs? and will it be out around Oct-Nov of this year?

Thanks!
Just one of the Crystalites!!

Colleen   May 28th, 2010 4:13 pm ET

Siobhan-

Congratulations and Thank you for sharing your talent.

Question:

What was the most surprising thing you learned about the "behind the scenes" of American Idol? What is the best thing that came out of the competition for you?

John   May 28th, 2010 4:27 pm ET

Siobhan will you marry me?

Angela   May 28th, 2010 4:40 pm ET

Siobhan who inspires you to be so unique and who designs your wonderful outfits you were for idol they are amazing just like you

alyssa   May 28th, 2010 5:42 pm ET

crystal, when you said lee is your musical crush and about having a crush on casey what did your previous boyfriend think of that?

Allegra   May 28th, 2010 6:35 pm ET

Siobhan, Lee and Tim, I love you all so much!!
Siobhan: why don't you have your drivers license??

Pam   May 28th, 2010 7:39 pm ET

My favorite part of American idol was Casey singing with Bret.

Cathy   May 28th, 2010 9:09 pm ET

@Pam,
I too loved Casey singing with Bret. Casey sounded great and everyone loved seeing Bret.

jack   May 28th, 2010 9:22 pm ET

The oil leak is still happening. There are now at least three large plumes of oil in the water. The oil has come into areas of the beautiful coastal marshes. There it is killing fish, birds and other sea animals. It is killing plants , which will either be unable to provide a vital food for the aquarian food chain, or will poison the creatures still able to consume food. This nightmare continues unabated. Words will not solve this massive problem. They should enlist every oil tanker and boat that is equipped to pump this poison from the water, now.

lana caywood   May 28th, 2010 9:32 pm ET

Casey, when you come home to Cool can we have that cookout you talked about to thank your fans? We would love to THANK YOU for the amazing journey that you took this little town on!!
Love you,
Lana

Dodie R.   May 28th, 2010 10:02 pm ET

@ jack

Beautifully stated, Jack!

To add one more dimension of concern....with so much death (plants and animals) the concern of added bacteria or a new strain of bacterial spawned stemming from this bio-mass of destruction in which we have no antidote.

No one really knows the full ramifications of this catastrophe!

Ellen   May 28th, 2010 10:06 pm ET

It was great to see everyone together on your show, I though Mike was great and was happy when the judges saved him, I wanted him to be a runner up or in the top 3

abbi   May 28th, 2010 10:14 pm ET

I have a question for Casey. Casey: what part of the tour are you looking forward to most? I love you and voted for you every week. did it hurt to get voted off right before the finale?

Delsie   May 28th, 2010 10:27 pm ET

I have a question about the financial end of the contestants, do they get paid while appearing on the weekly shows and get their lodging and food paid for, because most of them I would expect would lose their jobs having to be gone for such a long period of time. I also heard all of the clothing they wear on the shows was provided for them and they get to keep them is that right?

Siobhan was and still is my favorite.

jack   May 28th, 2010 10:34 pm ET

@Dodie... Thanks, there has also been speculation that these pollutants will evaporate and be rained down in various parts of the South. I hope that does not happen. With the hurrican season predicted to be especially active this year, that may make things much worse as well.

Dodie Ryan   May 28th, 2010 11:54 pm ET

@ jack

I am thankful for CNN and their disclosure about BP's tactic today hiring several hundred people to place a "smoke screen" for President Obama and staff creating an illusion of massive efforts on clean-up. I am working on placing the actual pictures of the massive oil geyser on facebook for all to see.

I call these efforts a delusion of an illusion!

Dodie   May 29th, 2010 12:01 am ET

@ jack

Ah, riding the wild winds can be slick if coming from the Gulf.....
Hold on tight!

Stephanie   May 29th, 2010 12:10 am ET

My question is for Lee....
First of all, I just want to say that I love you and I wish you nothing short of success in the future🙂
My question for you is:
Which city are you looking forward the most during the tour?
Also, what nationality is your last name?
I guess that's all.

Becky Hovet   May 29th, 2010 3:15 pm ET

Hey LEE~
Im so proud of you! I knew since we met you were going to be famous. My question for you is "Mt prospect will always be your home town, so will you still make time to come and visit your freinds here??"

gerald Jolly   May 29th, 2010 4:05 pm ET

Thank GOD for Larry King.

Otherwise how could we ever get the most important news dealing with the must know issues of our world.

Issues like the results of the Idol how, and the most important information about Lady GAGA.

Bless you Larry for keeping us informed about such important issues that so impact our life.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU.

Wendy   May 29th, 2010 4:26 pm ET

CASEY,
I have a few questions for you...

1.What was the best part of your AI experience?

2.Have you been offered a recording contract yet? (Your fans are waiting anxiously for your first CD!)

3.Why do you think you are primarily a musician? (You are a phenom musician, but you also possess an AMAZING voice that has touched many no matter what type of song you sang...ballads, rock, blues, country). I've downloaded ALL of your performances and can't wait to buy your first CD! God Bless you, CASEY JAMES, and the best of luck to you!! I'll see you on the tour this summer!!

Cari   May 29th, 2010 5:17 pm ET

Lee, first I would like to send a huge congrats to you!! You deserve this and much much more! I'm looking forward to your next album!

My question is which of your songs form "So I'm Told" and "Slumberland" is your favorite and why? Also, will you be adding "Bridge Burns" on your next album? It is such a beautiful song!

Sara   May 29th, 2010 5:22 pm ET

I'm posting a question for the Idols....

Lee, I would love to know what your tattoo on your arms says? I have seen it in many pictures but have not been able to make out what it says. Congrats on your new wonderful and amazing life!

Cari   May 29th, 2010 5:28 pm ET

My question is for Lee..

First I want to send you a huge Congrats! You deserve it! I'm looking forward to your next album!!

My question's to you are, which of your songs on "So I'm Told" and "Slumberland" is your favorite and why?

Will you be adding "Bridge Burns" to your next album? It is such a beautiful song!

I would also love to know what your tattoo on your arm says? I have seen it in many pictures but have not been able to make out what it says.

Congrats again, on your new wonderful and amazing life!

abbi   May 29th, 2010 6:10 pm ET

Casey: what was your favorite performance you did on idol?

Mary   May 30th, 2010 2:09 pm ET

CASEY JAMES and TIM URBAN

CASEY, After your Spectacular performance with Bret Michaels, who else would you like to perform a duet with? You are an amazing talent!

TIM,You are always smilng. How do you keep such a positive attitude?
You are a true inspiration!

Jack   May 30th, 2010 2:20 pm ET

CASEY JAMES Question:

Which do you prefer...acoustic or electric guitar? I prefer you on the electric, but the wife and sister-in-law melt when you play the acoustic! Hope to see lots of you in the future! Good Luck!

Jacky   May 30th, 2010 5:31 pm ET

CASEY JAMES Question:

Which do you prefer playing more: acoustic or electric guitar? You rock on both, but just curious!

Joy   May 31st, 2010 1:50 am ET

Casey, you are just as talented a singer as you are a musician!
My QUESTION is, have you accepted the fact now that you are no longer a musician only but that you are a world-known and widely loved singer?

Shelley from Indiana   May 31st, 2010 2:08 am ET

My question is for LEE DEWYZE- do you plan on using any songs that you have previously written on your upcoming album?

Nilou   May 31st, 2010 2:26 am ET

Hi lee,

I hope that you are doing fine. First of all, I wanted to tell you that you were such a inspirational person throughout the whole season and that you seem to be so modest which is great.

1.My first question: Lee, are you fully American? If not what nationality does your last name come from?
2. Second question: Is there any meet and greet at the end of the tour concerts?
if I get the chance, I would like to give you the picture that I drew for you.

leedewyzelover11   May 31st, 2010 8:25 pm ET

I would like to ask Lee a question..."What qualitiesdo you like in a girl?" thanks
