American Idol on 'The Simpsons' – we've got them FIRST!

Posted: 12:02 PM ET

TUNE IN TONIGHT TO SEE THE CAST OF AMERICAN IDOL ON LKL – 9pm ET!!

Fox knows how to work a cross over when it comes to their shows (take note of the musical themed episodes planned for “Fringe” and other series in celebration of the  success and return of  “Glee.”)

In May, the “American Idol” gang will be visiting Springfield during “The Simpsons’” season finale.

Judges Simon Cowell, Ellen DeGeneres, Kara DioGuardi, Randy Jackson and host Ryan Seacrest will be even more animated than they are during their critiques of contestants when they join Bart and the rest of the Springfield inhabitants on an episode scheduled to air May 23.

Word is that Springfield’s beloved bartender, Moe, gets an invitation to serve as an “Idol” judge. Have we finally found a replacement for the soon to be departing Cowell?

Moe would make an excellent replacement for simple Simon Cowell. Of course 3 stooges Curly would do well also. I imagine there'll be loads of former Idol contestants that will be celebrating Large the day/night Simon exits American Idol for good.

Larry, love your show, how about addressing some issues pertaining to our nation's horrendous failure in the education of our minority inner- city disadvantaged, k-12 school populations? The academic achievement gap(cumulative deficit) between African American and Latino non-mainstream students verus White mainstream students continues to widen each year...High school drop-out rates are soaring each year; currently, 53% of African American and 56% of Latino students drop out of high school each year.. America has become and will continue to be a multi-cultural society..Our school systems must address the issue of cultural differences within its inner-city, low income school districts which are predominantly African American and Latino students..."Between the Rhetoric and Reality" Lauriat Press; Simpkins and Simpkins,2009 ;p-129.
