I cannot understand, why the USA, needs to understand the motives and reasoning of the phycopath. He knowingly, and with his full reasoning, raped and murderd C. King. A beautiful 17 year old with her whole life ahead of her. This man deserves a hard, cruel death. He is not insane, he knew what he was doing!!!!

Theresa   March 4th, 2010 2:08 pm ET

Michelle Bachman likes to hear herself talk. Did she ever question Dick Cheney about Haliburton? Does she ever have a positive, concrete solution to anything? When are members of the Democratic & Republican parties going to work together for the common people??? This gov't. is almost past the point of being ridiculous!

Gerald Jolly   March 4th, 2010 3:45 pm ET

What a joke.

Michelle Bachman talking about corruption in the Obama Whitehouse.

How convenient for her to not discuss her near impeachement for taking bribe money, I'm surprised she survived the investigation and got elected.

What a CREEP.

IKHAN   March 4th, 2010 4:15 pm ET

Michelle Bachman ! Where did she crawl out from? Her association with the Bush-Cheney reign of infamy speaks for itself.

This Health Care issue has dragged on now for a frustrating amount of time no less due to obstructionism from Repubs.
When is this Congress going to do some good to the American people.I think Obama should (he can) sequester them, they shouldn't be allowed to adjourn till this is settled.

Joe G. (Illinois)   March 4th, 2010 5:33 pm ET

Borak Obama has 3 more years left on his tour. Never mind Middle Class Unemployment, Deficits, etc, etc, etc. Obama’s worst enemy is Obama himself and he has 3 more years left on the books to dig himself in and hurt the people who elected him into office.

A. Smith, Oregon   March 4th, 2010 5:42 pm ET

Republican Rep. Michele Bachmann, Glenn Beck, Bill O'Reily, Shaun Hannity and Rush Limbaugh are very active in their speeches of Anti-Government. Needless to say their Republican Party of NO ideas, NO ways and NO how offers absolutely nothing to help ease the suffering of Millions of Americans suffering from the horrific Bush-Cheney legacy of pouring a Trillion dollars into the US Military and less than nothing to Public Schools, Educational Grants, Librarys, Bridges, Canals, Dams, Ports, Harbors, Road Construction, Electrical Grid, Mass Transportation, Public Health and Public Safety.

Republican Rep. Michele Bachmann answer to Larry King was 'scrap the Health Care Bill and start over with Nothing'. That essentially is the Republican total of suggestions, 'NOTHING'.

Of course the Republican Party doesn't want constraints and regulations placed upon their major fund-raisers in the corruption ripe Health Care Industry who appears to have hyper-raised their prices to quickly make up for the fortunes they lost during the economic collapse of 2008-2009.

The mass graft and corruption by America's MD's, Big Pharma and the AMA's Health Care Industry routinely hose hundreds of Billions of Dollars from America's taxpayers for services never delivered, services that were not required, and services for dead or non-existent patients.

Republican Rep. Michele Bachmann, Glenn Beck, Bill O'Reily, Shaun Hannity and Rush Limbaugh certainly appear to be aware of the mass amounts of corruption and graft in America's Health Care System. Their solution appears to be 'let it continue'!

I hope voters show Republican Rep. Michele Bachmann and pathetic entertainers like Glenn Beck the door.

A. Smith, Oregon   March 4th, 2010 6:02 pm ET

The Republican Party of NO in action against the American people:

There are now 290 bills that have passed the US Congressional House that are simply waiting for a vote in the US Senate. At least 80 bills are of large significance and many of which were passed on a bipartisan basis, and yet they are all stuck and on hold by the obstruction tactics of the Republican Senators of NO.

It is a very calculated and cynical strategy to try and bring the work of the American people to a halt and blame it on the Democratic majority and the Democratic led Administration of President Obama.

Anti-government sentiments in the U.S. have reached levels so high they could result in another attack like the Oklahoma City bombing, according to a report released Tuesday by an organization that tracks right-wing extremists. "We've seen more threats and actual attacks in the past 18 months than we've seen at any given period over the past 15 years," claimed Potok. The authors of the report place the blame on Lou Dobbs, Glenn Beck, Rep. Michele Bachmann and Sarah Palin.

I hope American's wake up and realize that the Republican party of NO is severely hurting Americans and vote the Republicans out of office during the upcoming fall elections.

The Republican Party and Republican Lawmakers have declared War on Americans WHAT are Americans going to do to respond to their declaration of War?

Vote against all Republican incumbents, Vote them OUT!

Joe G. (Illinois)   March 4th, 2010 6:32 pm ET

Evil cannot create Goodness.. Now, I know some people think that Abortion is a wonderful legal right, just the same as sex marriage and all that other Liberal Progressive Immorality been pushed by the Democrats.. But for those people trying to squeeze out Goodness out of Borak Obama I have news for you.. It ain’t gonna happen.. And you all can sugar coat all the wonderful stories about Health Care Plans coming out of Borak Obama all you want. And all those Get Rich Quick Economic Plans that you want.. But it ain’t gonna happen. Thank you and good day.

A. Smith, Oregon   March 4th, 2010 6:55 pm ET

@ Joe G., perhaps you think Abortion is a wonderful legal right. It is a legal right of women to chose or not, it is their life and their body which is being use for life support of the fetus.

Bush-Cheney not only tanked America's economy into the abyss, they dragged the world's economy into the dumpster with it. Doctors, Hospitals and mega Health Insurance providers are hyper-raising their prices to quickly replace their hundreds of billions of investments they lost in the stock markets that tanked.

The AMA MD's, Health Care Industry and Big Pharma are ripe with graft and corruption which only a Federal mandated series of laws and regulations can curtail and put the lid on to prevent them from continuing and expanding.

The Republican Party of NO doesn't care about American's health, nor the fact that many American seniors can't afford their monthly prescriptions, nor expensive medical routines they would normally elect to undergo. America's suffering specifically because of the Republican Party of NO, it is time for American's to respond and vote against ALL Republicans.

Mauizoo   March 4th, 2010 8:21 pm ET

This was the most ridiculous debate lately on LKL

blah blah blah blah blah

It proved again, the reason nothing gets done in Congress.

Too much bickering.

JUST GET SOMETHING DONE FOR THE AMERICAN PEOPLE YOU REPRESENT.

Fools!

Mauizoo   March 4th, 2010 8:35 pm ET

The Republician party cannot or will not allow this President to pass health care. Passing health care will make President Obama one of the most significant leaders of the century. They are holding out hoping Obama won't get re-elected based soley on his failure to get it through.

Assuming this coup gets a Republican elected President, they will then come up with a health care bill of their own so that their party president will be the historical figure of the century.

LacrosseMom(the real one)   March 4th, 2010 9:46 pm ET

Michele Bachman is a Christian, right? Why is she LYING? Why is she spewing hate, why is she suggesting (as she has) that we arm ourselves and "take back" America? Bachman is seriously, dangerous, she is very similar to another ......insane....... Republican, Joseph R. McCarthy! Who began a witch hunt in our Nation!

It is these Republican-types that make we, the People, concerned.

How can Bachman, a "Christian" be so evil? How can ANY person that claims to be a Christian be against Healthcare for Americans?

"Whatsoever you do to the least of these, you have done to Me." ~ Jesus, Matthew 25:40 (NIV) Bachman & the rest of the GOP will answer to the ultimate Judge, eventually.

Judith   March 4th, 2010 10:01 pm ET

Michele Bachmann talks out of 1 side of her mouth with hate while trying to be a Christain with the other side. She along with many of the GOPs have lied. They should be thrown out with no salaries for lying to the American people.
Do the GOPs get it?No they don't listen.
Obama is not perfect but lets face it Bush took us into 2 Wars giving tax breaks not knowing or even throwning a dime to pay for them,
eight years and not one dime that paid for any of it.Then the GOPs go around saying about the American people don't want the debt for our kids or grandchildren.Funny how they are the ones with selective memories. No the Senated vote No for ones on Social secrurity and disable people for the lousy $250.00.It was 10 Demo and 40 GOPs who voted No.Time to go after the 50 throw them out and give them nothing. If they think ones can get by on peanuts then why are they having their hands stretch out to lobbyists?Bottom Line lets see all of them take cuts in salaries like everyone else has before Bush got out of office

Judith   March 4th, 2010 10:06 pm ET

Let's put it this way if anyone remembers 8 yrs of Bush they will Not vote Republican in 2012.

Any Republican or Demo that lies for political purposes and not for the American people should be held for treason, period!

Theresa   March 4th, 2010 11:11 pm ET

I can'y believe how similar in opinions Michelle Bachman & Sarah Palin are.. Sarah Palin is too busy dreaming $$$$$ & doing the celebrity comedy route. I think Michelle Bachman must stay awake all night thinking which Democratic buttons she can push!! What an irritating, narcisstic person she is. She never offers a solution, only criticism with great pleasure–I don't know if these problems will ever get solved. Isn't there 1 Republican that has any inkling that working together is the solution.

A. Smith, Oregon   March 4th, 2010 11:20 pm ET

Wow, that leaked Republican National Committee briefing is a huge bombshell. Categorizing the Obama Administration as 'the evil empire' and various practices with the sole intention of sowing fear itself. Even deliberate dirty tricks in attempting to confuse the Hispanic Population into not filling out the census forms by sending out fake alert mailers telling citizens to not trust nor accept actual US Census Forms!

Dodie   March 4th, 2010 11:50 pm ET

Rep. Michele Bachmann reported on a conservative talk show, she opposes the stimulus because: “we're "running out of rich people in this country." What a dweeb! One person that would be wise to vote out of congress!!!

Chere   March 5th, 2010 12:01 am ET

@Dodie,
She meant we are running out of rich people to pay the tab. As they say, socialism is great as long as your neighbor has money. I'm not a fan of hers, but that was the rest of her comment.

Dodie   March 5th, 2010 1:14 am ET

@ Chere

Trust me... we are not anything close to socialism. That is just propaganda. Also the very wealthy 1% who own 95% of the assets in this country are all off shore accounts around the world. By the way, I have lived in a socialistic country. There is NO comparison to this one! Unless you want to consider our USPS socialistic!

A. Smith, Oregon   March 5th, 2010 1:20 am ET

Many of the anti-government tea-bagger corporate backers in Texas are using shell corporations overseas to avoid paying Federal taxes, Social Security and Medicare-Medicaid payments. And they are the first to have their grubby hands out for federal subsidy's for those same corporations as they hire slave labor and pollute the world with their toxic wastes as part of their routine operations. They are among the biggest hypocrites on Planet Earth!

Mike P   March 5th, 2010 1:30 am ET

:)................. Let me just put my two cents in...Socialism, socialism, solcialism... Wake up... You have never heard of the Police dept., fire dept., schools, "social" security, taxes, Medi-Care, or the post office? Answer me this, what kind of health care does congress and the President have... So quit repeating things you've heard on fox news, it just makes you look stupid...How come someone needs to make a profit on me because I got a broken arm or have the flu or was in a car accident, that has never met me, never will, and has had no direct involment in me getting better, save a piece of paper that says " stock in blue cross" or something... 🙂

🙂 And also, I find it beyond amusing when people can not find anything good to say about OUR current President.. If I remember correctly, president Bush drove this country into the ground... It was like the Country as a whole were stuck in the backseat, while dad was drunk again, blindly speeding down a dirt road, nobody wanted to say anything then...And what about the economy, When Bush inherited the office from a Dem-thats right-remember Clinton...lol, he inherited atleast a 230 billion dollar surplus. When bush left office, we were in the hole ten trillion... After all the deregulation and unaccountablity on Wall st., and after two disastrous wars and the worst economy since the great depression, your gonna defend the GOP, and complain that the dems stand for government waste...LOL...your funny... 🙂

janette tx   March 5th, 2010 1:31 am ET

Michele Bachmann is a biased potty head.Who in blazes voted
for her??????

Mike P   March 5th, 2010 1:59 am ET

@ A. Smith, Wow ,there you are again...I completely agree 100% with everything you have said especially your last one... Gosh, I mean your right...I mean, if they were paying taxes like they should've been, our problems would probably be alot less severe, wait...no, Bush did a pretty royale fubar job on this country...

Chere   March 5th, 2010 2:23 am ET

@Dodie,
My parents are from the Soviet Union where I lived for a while; where did you live under socialism?

Gerald Jolly   March 5th, 2010 3:39 am ET

Just remember one thing folks about Michelle Bachman.

Shes the person who claimed UNEQUIVICKLY that Barack Obama was a Muslim, was not born in the U.S. and was investigated for taking bribes from the pharmaceutical lobby in Washington.

She has also been under scrutiny for ellicit sexual affairs with constituents in he district in Minnesota,

Bachman is what Washington reffered to whenthe declkared that a more in depth scrutiny needs to be done when REPS are being vetted.

Bachman is in FACT THE WORSE OF THE WORSE IN wASHINGTON.

Gerald Jolly   March 5th, 2010 3:41 am ET

Gerald Jolly   March 5th, 2010 3:43 am ET

My apologies to all you folks for the terrible spelling errors it's been a long day.

Ted   March 5th, 2010 9:41 am ET

Several bloggers mention that if Bachmann is a christian, then she could not do or say what she does.

First of all folks, being a christian does not make you automatically a good person!
There are good and honest persons who are jewish, moslems, hindus and buddhists, just to name a few.

Christians commited more crimes over the last 2,000 years than any other religion, most of if in the name of God. Let´s not forget who killed all the natives of our land, because "a good indian is a dead indian"!
Just say Michelle Bachman is an idiot, regardless of her religion, color and national background.

Mollie   March 5th, 2010 12:28 pm ET

Lorraine, I think it is horrible that a young girl lost her life. So, so sad.
however, we have too many people with Mental problems in the World today. We have young people killing their selves, People committing crimes because of Mental Problems. This is one more thing that Americans say, out of sight, out of mind. Lock them up. Because of Mandatory Sentencing, One More American Want, This Judge saw this Man had no Prior Arrests so, he ignored the Fact that this Man was Mentally Ill. He is Biopolar. A Prior Arrest may not be a Horrible Crime. Let the Judge go by the Records. Americans act out of Fear, not out of Reason. Test each and every one before they are let out of Prison, if not before that date. Also, Do More about Alcohol and Drugs. This is also a Huge cause of American Problems. This American "Lock them up and throw away the Key" Logic does not work. Today we have Gangs, Drugs are every where and, in some way, in every Home. However, Treatments for all Crimes are ignored.
Few People are Born Bad. Gardiner should not have gotten a short Sentence after he was deemed Dangerous but, Not all with the Title of Sex Offender are Bad. Let the Judge read the case.In some cases, Young Girls will lie about their age but, the Male will go to Jail. IF it is not a forceable Rape, why does the sentence warrent the same punishment as the "sicko". Why does the small drug Dealer get more time than the
Main Man that is making all the Dollars, Put the first DUI in treatment before he Kills on the road. Help the Mom that works but, does not make enough to spend the extra time with the Children and have the Medical treatment they need because of no Funds. American's Go About things in the wrong way. Test the Sex Offender. The Family can pay for the testing in most cases. Know the Answers first and then Solve the problems. Most people want to see changes but.....this is
not happening for the good of the People. So, Try to change the way things are handled without the Fear. The Gardner's and the nut in JC Duggard's care are Few and Far Between. Ask the experts. No case in any court is the exact same thing but, the law are exact. They shoud be based on the individual case.

eJay   March 5th, 2010 12:51 pm ET

Republicans try to pretend that they are looking out for the taxpayers, when they are really looking out for the Insurance Companies rich excs.

Linda Mieras   March 5th, 2010 2:25 pm ET

Television programming influences human behavior – violent programs, police programs, and the new animal planet series "Fatal Attractions" can only initiate further obtuse, violent, and abnormal behaviors. Albeit somebody tries it! Programming such as PLANET EARTH gives our spirit an upward thrust of awe, wonder, and appreciation. Less blood, guts, wierd, absurdity, violence, etc. Thaaanks! Love you! By!

jack   March 6th, 2010 1:08 am ET

What, Bachman still is not in a padded cell? Oh, I forgot, Minnesotans in her district are retarded.

jack   March 6th, 2010 1:18 am ET

Bachman is either crazy as a loon or pandering to some very ignorant base. Either way. Minnesotans, vote her out of office, she has disgraced you. You are intelligent , hard working people. Please, do not let this tea party clown represent you.

jack   March 6th, 2010 1:26 am ET

What a big joke. Michelle bachMan is all about no subsidies for the poor while her family gets the big subsidie agricultural handouts at tax payer's expense. Can anyone say HYPOCRITE? Is she willing to give up her tax funded health benifits? Ha ha, Didn't thinlk so. Go away weirdo.

Sheila Brandon   March 8th, 2010 12:10 am ET

I believe that people had better start thinking on their own and get into the survival mode. The rich and powerful in washington do not care about anything but themselves.

Here is a jobs program for the disabled. There is empty textile factories setting all over the south. There is used commercial equipment. Making the start up very inexpensive. cutting. sewing and packing is all you need. The trained employes are now on SS based upon the cheap wages that the south has always paid.

We have lots of disabled hardworking people here in little Toccoa ga. but we have lots of disabled veterians coming home.

One product .....King Suspenders for all ages.

Kat   March 8th, 2010 2:59 pm ET

Maybe the Publicans with th elikes of bachman should investigate all those on their side having affairs and and carrying on with all other antics.

Am sick of these people for trying to belittle President Obama and all their lies just for their own political gain.

Kat   March 8th, 2010 3:04 pm ET

Larry, Noone has ever asked me if I wanted HC reform so how can teh Publican party say that most Americans do not want it?

I have never taken any of their polls either so how can they speak for me and my family?

America NEED HC reform and with or without the Publicans, the Dems need to stop chewing on each other and support it. Better to take the risk than to do nothing but bicker for over ayear. That is what will cost you your seat in Nov. Vote yes for HC Reform!

You uys keep bickering and you tell Americans that you guys are afraid of opposition, indecisive, divisive and not fit to run the country. Your career would mean more to you than we mean to you.

What could be worst than to vote for a war which now puts Iran on the lose?

Kat   March 8th, 2010 3:05 pm ET

What could be worst than to vote for a war which now puts Iran on the loose and a terror to the middle east?

JF   March 8th, 2010 6:01 pm ET

I just wish someone will help me understand, why it will be so bad
if every person on earth got to live a equally good life. And why do rich
people try so hard to keep poor people on this earth. There should not
be rich people on this earth, and there should not be poor people on
this earth. And the people who think the world need rich people, in order for there to be jobs are brain washed. I only pray the prayers and stand back, and see God do the work. "And he is only getting started."

JF   March 8th, 2010 6:44 pm ET

Know you do not need rich people to have jobs. People get rich by
charging brain washed people 200.00 for a pair of shoes, that the
company only paid 20.00 to make. Or charging 700.00 for a laptop that
the company paid 70.00 to make. Or a so called movie star charging
80.00 for perfume that they paid 8.00 to make. The 8.00 per bottle, is
all of the cost in manufacturing. But they charged the brain washed people 80.00 per bottle. They write a so called book, remember they
already are rich so they do not need loans and things. The book cost them 2.00 a book to put out , and you brain washed people pay 20.00.

The rich are rich because they eat brain washed people of the world
for food.

JF   March 8th, 2010 6:57 pm ET

The rich and well off do not want national health care. But if everyone
is sick and can not go to work on a job, how can they buy the rich people products that are being manufactured. There are none so blind
as those that will not see.

Diane Brooks   March 20th, 2010 1:55 pm ET

Red – blue, donkey – elephant, liberal – conservative, black – white;
when will this stop? If this Health Reform Bill does not pass in the
House tomorrow, we know that nothing productive will come out of that House. It will be time to shut the doors and windows, and just wait it out. Both Republicans and Democrats will be punished severely at election time. Members will all be coming back home and I, for one, will not support anyone from either of these parties, for a good number of years down the road. Furlough all government politicians in D.C. for a year or two; we will probably get more done. Politicians, really all of us, need to stop talking so much and roll up our sleeves and get to work!
HOWEVER I DO HAVE HIGH HOPES
THAT TOMORROW'S VOTE WILL
BE YES! YES! YES!
